After the whole day of training, we went back to our quarters and without words, we slept soundly on the couch.

But when I was about to fully sleep, I noticed 006 going up to the second floor. His action made me crease my forehead, so I followed him even though I'm dreadfully tired from our training.

As I was about to enter the second floor, I heard a man's voice coming from the glass screen of our meeting area.

"How's your mates, Delta 006?" he asked 006 as he took his seat.

"Slept already. We came from our whole day of training." I then heard the man humming as if he's listened attentively to what my brother had said to him.

"Good to know. How about you?"

"I'm about to take my rest."

"Very well. After they wake up, immediately call them later. We will have a meeting. For now, take a rest. I can see you're calculating your plans again for tomorrow."

"I don't have time for your side comments."

"Come on Kherst, we both know how you became 006. Maybe a little reminisce would suffice?" the man then chuckled but then died down when I heard 006 scoffing at his remarks.

"Reminiscing a memory of the past will not change everything, 002. If you don't have any more important missives to tell us, I will turn off our screen now."

"Wait, 006—" the man was about to speak more but the blue lights were already turning back into fluorescent ones.

I was about to go back to the first floor when 006 called my name.

"I know you're listening, Ami."

Sheepishly, I nudge my head out from my hiding and beamed at him.

"I was just curious." My face then turned serious. "I don't know why you don't remember me, but you remembered who the person behind the glass screen was."

His face became impassive with brows creasing. "Ami, I see no point of what you were saying—"

"You're Kherst, right?" I then stepped myself near to the table. "Shalom Kherst Fructuoso. First-born son of Sheldon and Avidonna Fructuoso, my eldest brother."

"Ami—"

"You then turned into someone I thought had died. Fifteen years ago, I saw how you were shoot in your head. I saw how you died. My eyes had witnessed death for you were saving me, making me take the blame from our father. He blamed me for your death as much as I did to myself."

Silence then engulfed us after I had said what I have been wanting to say to him.

After a minute of silence, he spoke.

"Shalom is already dead, Ami. I am nothing but an experiment now. Once we get revived, our memories with our families are erased. Constantly." I couldn't utter a word after he revealed his side.

I didn't know that happens. Reviving after a brutal death.

"Ami, I'm hungry." I wiped my face fast to erase some tears, if I had shed some, before facing Keio who was still wearing his combat shirt and pants.

I then leaned down the pinched his cheek lightly. "I will make dinner, are they awake?" He shook his head. I then stood up. "Go downstairs first, I still have things to finish up here."

"Okay," he answered before taking his plight downstairs.

I turned myself towards 006 and smiled. "Everything we said in here, will remain as our secret. Don't worry, I will not change my treatment to you."

"Same here."

I was about to go down when he called me again.

"What is it?"

"You may still call me Kherst if you want. That's the name I had acquired after I was revived." I creased my forehead in confusion but then gave him a nod.

"Sure. I will do that. Come to the dining area for dinner, I'll be cooking tonight." I then took my steps down to the stairs, following Keio who was actually waiting for me on the first step.

* * *

"KEIO DOCK!" Even shouted as he instructed our kid mate to his expedition training.

Keio followed, he was almost hit by a log coming from his right side.

After he's done with his part, he immediately ran towards our position. Even gave him a light smile and patted his head.

"You almost got hit on one of the obstacle courses, next time, be aware while running. Ten minutes and twenty seconds."

"Yes, sir." Keio then sat on the ground to rest his body. After all, he was still catching up with us since he is the only kid of our team. And this is still new to him.

We are now on our second day of training and I can say, these obstacle courses are quite difficult to evade. Especially those logs that comes out of nowhere.

"Thadd, you're up." Our teen mate then stood up and warmed up himself.

"I'm ready!" he shouted from his position.

"On position, set," Even clicked the clock timer. "Go!"

Thadd ran fast as he avoids the courses around him. It looks easy when it is done by him. He must be an athlete before he came here.

As soon as he finished, Even clicked the timer.

"Not bad, three minutes and thirty seconds," Even uttered then he turns his gaze towards Benina who was standing beside me. "Benina, you're up."

"Yes, sir," she answered as she stretched her body to prepare herself. She's definitely active and had good body posture.

To think of it, her body is actually bigger than mine. I would have eighty-five percent of chance to fail these courses.

"Positions ready, set, go!"

On Benina's first course, she almost tripped on one of the tires, but she had herself up before she could fall down.

Along her courses, she finished it within four minutes and ten seconds.

Even then faced me. "Ami, you're up."

As soon as he shouted 'go,' I immediately ran and, like Benina, almost tripped on the first course.

When I got to the next one, I almost got myself stucked on the threads if I didn't split due to the slippery of the muds. I almost even got hit by a log when I was about to reach the finish line.

All in all, I got eight minutes and three seconds. Much faster than Keio's but much slower than Benina and Thadd's.

When it was time for 006's turn, I noticed Even looking at him in an unexplainable expression. It was something between getting wary and not bothering who 006 was.

"On your positions, 006," He called our mate. "Set, go!"

As soon as Even shouted, he already ran like his body was used for intensive trainings before.

He didn't tripped nor got almost hit with logs. And most of all...

"... Three Minutes and one second." Even clicked the clock timer and we then proceeded to the tracking field.

"Everyone will have ten lapses, after that, we'll have our break." He then stand close to a post and raised his racing gun.

We immediately ran to our positions. Of course, we're still on the same order. When Even fired the gun, we started our run. It's not a race, but Thadd and Benina are racing like Olympians.

"Ami, may I hold your hand?" Keio asked while gasping for air and without a word, I grabbed his hand as we jogged and slow paces.

006 was ahead of us. I know he can outrun Thadd and Benina, but he chose to keep his paces and he even lined up with us.

After our ten lapses of jogging, Even gave us our fifteen-minute break. I don't know why I couldn't call him doc or sir, it just feel right for me to do so. He didn't even made a retort about it.

The ones who got really tired was Benina and Thadd. They even snored as they take their naps. Who on earth would race in the field when we were just instructed to jog? Definitely these two. They're fairly competitive and really are not getting along well with each other.

After keio drank his water, I placed my sweatshirt on the grass and let him have his nap. Leaving me with my sleeveless deep green camisole.

I then placed both of my palms behind my head as I laid down on the grass. To take my nap as well.

006, on the other hand, was also lying down on the grass but he's eyes were open. I didn't started another conversations with him since I wanted to have a nap.

Taking a nap like this has never been so good.
