AZEZAL POV

It's been more than a week since I met her. I know she went to Georgia, her parents houss for her vacation and I that too know she would be back within some days

Now currently I'm in my office engaged in work. I heard a knock on the entrance and affirmed "Come in"

"Hey dude! Whatcha doing??" My friend Ethan uttered coming inside the room "Work. Any information about the Blood Reapers?" I straightly asked keeping my gaze fixed on the laptop screen. He came and sat on the chair facing me

"No but our attempts of attack were successful. The main thing is their own men doesn't know who is their main leader and boss is. They are playing safe" He said in a serious voice

"Anything about what do they actually want from us?" I questioned seriously looking at him now

"No... I don't think they have any sort of enemity or rivalry with us as far as I know, we never came on their way or we never engaged in anything with them. I think they personally just want you down. This is my opinion... No idea why though" He affirmed straightly

"Hmm... keep on with the investigation and I want my gang extremely secured, make sure none of their members gets the chance to break into the gang. Make everything secured and strong. I don't want any more betrayers in the team" I said

"Yes Sir. I'll personally watch over everything. Chill down dude" He said grinning and I set my gaze on the laptop screen and started working again. Still then he was sitting and looking at me smirking.

"What?" I asked confused. "So your engagement is within a few days" He said with a grin on his face

"Come on dude, don't start again. That bitch Carla is pain in my ass. If I could I would had definitely pushed a bullet in her head by now. This bitch keeps annoying the shit outta me. I need to get rid of her as soon as possible" I said in an annoyed voice, with a scowl face and he started laughing, hearing me

Our engagement will be in a few days as my father wanted but I demanded it to be a small one. A small party, no media and no reporters. Family and friends only, good that he agreed. Our engagement is being done by now because of business purpose ofcourse and the whole marriage thing too. Pavano empires is the first largest business leading and dealing in USA and Acardo Empires is second largest. So my father wants both to combine and form the largest, strongest and known in the whole world. This marriage is just a contract nothing else. But I don't care, I can build my empire strongest by myself too and I definitely don't care about this marriage thing

"By the way.. What about Leera then? What do you have in your mind for her? Would you let her go now? Doesn't seem like though" He said grinning and leaning against the chair

"Let her go? Never in my life. She will oviously face consequences for what she did with me. You'll see man" I smirked at him

LEERA POV

I will be going back to New York today. I almost spent 2 weeks here with my family and my vacation gotta over soon too so I need to go back as well as study for the finals. These days I felt so good spending time with my family. I almost forgot my every pain and I feel way a lot strong than before.

Now I'm at the airport, my family came with me to see me off. I hugged everyone and bid goodbye. Came inside the airport after that

"Leera" I heard someone calling my name and I turned back. It's Louis.. he took steps towards me and I waited for him to come near

"Going back to New York today. Huh?" I asked smiling.

"Was supposed to go back after a few days but you're already leaving and tomorrow is my sister's engagement. I needed to go back.. So I thought why not just go back together. You know.... friends" He grinned

These days Louis and I became quite close. He cheered me up these days like a partner. I didnt had Aria and Levi here but he was there as a friend. He's actually a really nice guy to me now. Aside from my family he helped me to recover from those haunted memories, although I didn't even mention anything to him but he understood something was wrong. We met a lot of times these days and we're quite good friends now but still I feel something is not right about this. Whatever it is i just let it aside wanting to think only positive

Although he doesn't know much about my past and whatever happened in my life, he comforted me, made me feel a bit light-hearted. He's just like Levi, a cheerful and joyous guy.

"Ooh.. my flight is going to take off. I'll go now. Goodbye then. See you in New York" saying that I bid my hand as a goodbye and was about to leave but he held my hand

"I'm coming with you, what's that goodbye for?" He chuckled making me confused by what he meant by that "You are supposed to come by your private jet, remember?" I said raising my eyebrow

"Well I offered you to come with me in my jet before but you refused. I didn't want to travel alone... So I thought as I'll be going in the same time as you.. Why not take the same flight?" He said grinning

Well he's rich but he always try to settle with me. He could just fly by his private plane but troubling himself taking a regular flight just for me. He's just too considerate maybe and it's kinda good as I won't feel myself alone in the flight.

"Ok then. Let's go" I said with a small laugh

The whole flight journey was awesome as I got a partner to chit chat with. We talked and laughed.

"Ladies and Gentlemen the plane is going to land. Please check your seatbelt and be seated" A flight attendant announced. And unknowing a sigh released my mouth "Back to New York" Soon we were at the New York airport.

"Louis.. Thanks it was a nice journey because of you. See you next time I guess" I smiled waving my hand as I was about to go

"I can drop you. My car is already here" He offered to take me home but I refused saying "No need. I'll manage. Gotta go then. Goodbye"

"Goodbye. Stay safe, See ya soon" He said with a smile and we parted ways. I took a cab and came back to my shared apartment. There I met my flatmate Mayra after so many days. We engaged ourselves in gossips and took dinner together. Then I went to my room and took a shower before sleeping

I texted Levi and Aria that I'm back and we can meet if they want. Then my phone started ringing showing the caller ID 'Louis' , I picked up the call and muttered a small "Hii" and he greeted back

"What are you calling me for?" I asked "Actually my sister is getting engaged tomorrow as I mentioned before and I want you to come. Don't refuse this time please" He pleaded and I smiled hearing him

"Ok... I'll come" I uttered back "Didn't expect that from you.. I thought I have to plead you for a long time then you would agree to come" He short laughed

"Then it's good for you that I agreed fast" I affirmed laughing. "Well yes. I'll come to pick you up then" He said

"No need to trouble. I'll come myself. Just tell me the address and time" I said refusing him again. Well too much of my refuses I guess "Is it that bad to come with me? Come on.. you never let me give you a ride. I'm fine with picking you up then why are you refusing" He muttered in a frowning tone

"Ok okk. I'll go with you then. And the time?" I asked "Party will start at 7.00 PM. It would be a simple engagement party. Family and friends" He said

"Hmm.. okk I'll be ready before 7 then I'll call you" I told him and then hanged up the call after greeting goodnight.

Engagement party... sounds fun. I hope it would be nice too but as always a hint of worry was there in me. Come on it's just an engagement party! What's there to worry about? Everything's gotta be fine and I'll go and comeback soon. Refusing Louis everytime really doesn't seem good to me as he has always been so nice to me. I just agreed as he sounded really interested in inviting me and I didn't wanted to hurt him refusing more

Aria and I went to Levi's place this morning and came back in the afternoon. We spent a quality time together. Talked about stuffs and our upcoming exams too. It's 6.00 PM now. I think I should get ready now.

I wore a nevi blue V necked long dress with simple and nude makeup. I let my hair open with soft curls amd wore some assoseries. After I put on my heels, I stared at the mirror. I look elegant and sophisticated though.

I heard my phone ring. It was Louis, he said he already came and is waiting for me downstairs. Without wasting time I went downstairs. There he was waiting for me leaning against his car wearing a white shirt with nevi blue blazer, good-looking. He smiled looking at me

"Someone planned to match outfit with me... I guess" He grinned as I came near "Ahh.. I had no idea you were going to wear this colour too. Just a mere coincidence" I said and he laughed "Then perhaps our choice matches in terms" saying that with a smirk he opened the front passenger seat car door for me and I got inside without saying anything more

He started driving the car. The drive went silent and after almost more than 15 minutes we reached infront of a mansion. It looked so opulent and appealing. I was literally left in awe when I looked around, suddenly I felt the door of my side open. Louis smiled and forwarded his hand for me to take and come out of the car. Holding his hand I came out of the car

"Where are we?" I asked looking around. The place is guarded and the bodyguards around stood firm on their place. "Hmm... We are currently in my dad's friend's house. The engagement will be held here" He said and I was already feeling awkward here.

"Hey, come on" He uttered placing his hand on my back asking me to walk as I was still standing in my place

"Yeahh.. I don't know why I'm feeling a little weird" I murmured slowly and he laughed lightly. "Aish.. just come" He held my hand and I followed his steps with him and soon we were in the entry and there were also security guards holding guns, in the main door.

This doesn't really look like a small party I realized after coming inside. Like I thought it would be simple but still the place was so nicely decorated and a lot of people are here. Everything here looked rich

"Louis, why is this place so highly guarded.. I mean is it like someone is going to attack here?" I whispered in his ear with a small laugh. "No baby" He chuckled.

Wait he just called me what? Did he just joke around or something else. Before I could utter anything someone came to us. He greeted Louis and louis introduced me as his friend. "Leera, here you go" Saying that Louis handed me a drink. I smiled and took the glass, taking a sip.

"Hmm... where is your sister and her fiance?" I asked sipping my drink "Probably somewhere here or getting ready. You wait here I'm coming" Saying that he went somewhere and I kept standing alone in between so many people. So weird?

Suddenly a small boy bumped into me running, almost falling down but I held him. "I'm sorry" He said quickly even before looking at me "It's okay" I murmured smiling at him and he looked at me and kept gawking with a open mouth. I kneeled to his level and asked him with a smile "Hey, what's your name?"

"I'm Aaron" He said still with a surprised face. "Such a cute name. I'm Leera" I forwarded my hand to him for a shake, then suddenly I heard someone speaking from behind me and I got up on my feet "Aaron? What are you doing?" I heard a sweet voice. I turned back and saw a beautiful lady, she came and held Aaron by hand

"Sorry, if he is bothering you. I saw him bumping into you" She said with the same decently. "No it's fine. We were just having a small conversation" I smiled at her "By the way I'm his mother. You can call me Alina" She said in her sugary tone. "I'm Leera. It's nice to meet you" I introduced myself to her

Then Louis came and said she's actually the groom's sister. "If you don't mind can I talk to Aaron?" I asked her. "Sure. I need to excuse myself a bit" She said smiling and left. Aaron was still gawking at me with amused eyes

"Hey little guy? Is anything wrong?" I asked softly wanting to know what's with his reaction. "Bestfriend, asked you to come here right?" He asked smiling at me now. "Bestfriend who?" I asked not knowing what he was actually talking about but before he could reply I heard Louis telling something to me and I drifted my attention to him "Leera, meet my sister... Carla and Carla, this is Leera.. my friend that I talked about" I was left astonished when I saw his sister

The same woman that day... that I saw with Azezal. What is she doing here? Wait how can she be his sister? Does that probably mean -

"Ooh Hi" She said and I hesitated before greeting her "H..Hii.. Congrates on your engagement" I said not knowing what to exactly say

"Well not engaged yet but within a while-" She said with a grinning then stopped "wait I saw you before" She muttered and I gulped "Somewhere... you look familiar" She uttered raising her eyebrow

"Your probably mistaken. We didn't meet before" I muttered without thinking anything. Maybe I didn't want her to know we met before. And hopefully she didn't ask or think anything further

"Where's Azezal?" She asked turning to Louis and I freezed! What Azezal!? It's his engagement?? Fuck what am I doing here! What am I going to do?? Why am I here! My breathing stopped

"How would I know? He's your future husband. You should know where he is atleast on your engagement" Louis said with a duh face and that girl Carla left giving off a provoked face to him.

I stood totally stunned in my place. "Leera, you okay?" Louis asked touching my shoulder and I came out of my amused self. "Huh? I.. I need..d to use the washroom" I stuttered still in my surprised self. "Sure.. let me take you there?" He muttered

"No need.. I'll manage. Just tell me the way" I muttered and I felt someone touching my hand "I can take you to the washroom" then I realized the little boy, Aaron was still by my side

"Okay Aaron. Show her the way" Louis said to Aaron with a soft smile and faced me "I need to attend some guests. Then I'll be here. Wait for me here after you come back" He uttered and nodded. Then the little boy named Aaron started pulling my hand and taking me up the stairs almost running

"Slow down Aaron. You'll fall" I said but he kept pulling me giggling "I'm a big boy. I won't fall". We were up the stairs now. This house is literally so huge like someone new could easily get lost here. It's good Aaron is with me. He unknowing pulled me infront of a room before I could even stop him

He pushed at the door openinh it and started dragging me in with him "Aaron where-" I was about to ask where is he taking me but stopped when I heard a familiar voice speaking. I stifled.. my heartbeat grew fast. I looked around the room from the standing by the door

There his back was facing me while he was facing the window talking to someone over phone. His one hand shoved in his pant's pocket and other kept holding the phone near to his ear. He wore a grey tux what I saw from behind. He looked ravishing even from his back. His Aura giving off the same vibe

"Come, come" Aaron uttered pulling my hand more but I stilled firm on my feet totally stunned and astonished. Before I could turn back and run away from here the devil turned back still holding the phone to his ear as he heard Aaron talk

His eyes also held the same astonished look like me as he saw me standing just at the door of the room. I couldn't even move now! Under his glance... his gaze moved to the little boy Aaron who was still trying to pull me

He raised his eyebrow looking at him and he ended the call saying "I'll call later"

His intense gaze shifted on me now as he took intimidating steps towards me. Grey eyes pouring everything of me out

Fuck!? Why?? Why him again? What will I do now? What will he do??.......
