It was still so early in the morning but the two young lads inside the Arkwright Mansion were already awake. As usual, dressed all nicely after taking a bath, both with one question in mind.

'Is sister awake?'

And as expected, they ran across each other in front of the Lady's room.

"What are you doing here, Your Highness?" Ciel asked

"I'm just checking if Lady Avana is already awake." the Prince answered honestly and not too long after, the knob clicked and the door opened. It was not Avy but her servant, Mariel stepped out of the room.

"Oh, Young Master, Your Highness. I was just about to go and meet the both of you to give you these." she said referring to the papers she was holding in her hands.

"Why?"

"The lady asked not to be disturbed hence she prepared these learning materials for His Highness and Young Master to help with your Academy Tasks." she handed them the papers with detailed explanations of the Math assignments that they showed Avy the other day. She memorized every single topic and wrote how to solve and answer everything so that the two won't have any reason to bother her for the entire day.

But of course, what Mariel said that Avy doesn't want to be disturbed was a lie because the said Lady wasn't even resting in her room nor was she inside the Mansion.

"Mariel said this is Marquis Heron's territory, his wife is currently at the center of the noble society after opening a successful boutique three months ago. But I'm not here for that, where was that shop again?" she's already walking around in another noble's territory in commoner clothes.

After waking up from that dream, she couldn't make herself fall asleep again, so she decided to leave the Mansion and might as well check on the brat if he's still alive. But before that, she wrote all the pointers and explanations of the things she saw in Ciel and Light's homework, of course, they're too much of a bother for her to entertain.

"I'm glad I was an only child. Children are troublesome." she breathed out as she roam her eyes around to find the shop she was looking for. Unlike the maze-like Mansion of Arkwright Dukedom, she quickly familiarized herself with the shops she went to when she shopped for the child's necessities, and so without wasting too much time, she found it easily.

'Warde'

She pushed the wooden door that sounded the bell whenever someone comes in. The inside is nothing special, just an old shop with different kinds of materials and magic artifacts in a separate section. An old man wiping the glass stones on the counter, which she believes the owner of the store didn't even bat an eye to her direction and kept doing his thing.

She was way comfortable that she's not being watched, thus she took her time to go around the shop with ease, admiring those little scraps, metals, and other stuff she used to spend her time with when she was living in her original world. It was quiet but not unsettling, but the old man decided to break the silence first.

"It is you again." Esmour Warde, the owner spoke, holding a small tool and a pen-looking thing made of metal in his hands, still not looking at Avy.

"You have a pretty good memory, Old Man." she replied a couple of meters away while studying the structure of a broken toy Knight made of metal garbage resting on the corner of the store.

"Only a few people are worth remembering, youngins like you are one of those." Mr. Warde said, making Avy let out a small laugh.

"I can say that I'm pretty remarkable, don't you think so?" she picked up the small kit lying on top of the empty shelf where she found the toy and rummage inside to find something, the store owner didn't give attention to it, well it's not like Avy will be stopped on what she wants to do.

"Haven't you told that a Young Lass like you belongs to the kitchen?" Avy chortled and shook her head.

"No one's brave enough to do so, Old Man. They close their mouths shut and hide their balls."

"What a vulgar way of speaking." the old-timer cackled, amused at the lady speaking like an underground thug. They were busy doing the things that both of them were fixated on when another person came inside. It was a normal-looking man, probably looking for some things he needed.

"Have you heard about the miraculous lady in the forest?" Avy asked, keeping the conversation going to gain at least a bit of information about the novel's main character. It is true that her intention is to ignore her very existence but she couldn't help but get curious about what kind of person the female lead is like.

"Of course. She was the talk of the town days before. Everyone is wondering if she is the girl in the prophecy."

"Prophecy?" she stopped for a second to look at the old shop owner and wait for his reply.

"After a hundred years, the child who will bring prosperity to our land will be born. Holding the power to be followed by many." he said. Avy knitted her brows, it was such a piece of crucial information and there is no way she would forget about that. She may have forgotten about the characters but she got every important detail memorized, that is why she was able to remember the flow of the story without every unnecessary things that were mentioned.

"That prophecy was known a hundred years ago. And there is a big possibility that the child mentioned lives today." the old man added. it must be something the solely exists inside that world and was not written in the novel.

'It's not wrong though. She is that child.' she thought and with a little more fix here and there, she put the broken toy Knight on the floor, gave the small metal in the back a slight pull, and viola! It could finally move in a sliding manner.

Her gaze landed on the man looking at the expensive magic stones on the other side of the store. He was staring at the stones intently, glancing at the shop owner occasionally. Of course, he wasn't aware that Avy was watching him because his back was turned against her. but he was clearly had something in mind.

Avy was waiting for him to do something before calling him out, a couple of seconds later, he swiftly cut through the glass with his water magic and slid his hand inside to take a stone as big as his fist. But before Avy could move, an unknown object flew towards the man and struck his arm. It was the pen that the old owner was working with.

The man stopped moving. No. It was as if he was electrocuted before he collapsed on the floor.

"I really hope that child of prophecy would bring change to the Empire." the old man stated.

"But unlike this filthy lad right here, you use your hand in a good way, young lass." Mr. Warde praised her before picking up the toy Knight that made its way near the counter.

Instead of responding to the old man's praise, Avy walked towards the collapsed man and curiously took the metal pen on the floor. She studied the object in her hand, it looked like a normal ink pen, without the ink and made of metal. It also has a neon blue-colored stone near the tip. She opened its small body and the inside was composed of a simple yet brilliant mechanism.

"Lightning magic stone..." she mumbled, after the encounter with the illumination stone a couple of days before, she was intrigued about other stones that exist in that world, hence she found a book and read every last bit of information about them, she stuffed it all inside her head, every kind and how each works.

"You seem to be interested in these kinds of things, how unusual." said the old man, she was still fascinated by the thing that knocked out the thief, how amazing that it was possible without knowing too much about science, just using the available materials in that world to create such handy invention.

"The rumors didn't describe you well..."

"Lady Avana."

Avy was taken aback by the sudden mention of her name, of course, she would be, she was wearing commoner clothes even when she first visited the shop.

"Only direct descendants of that family have pairs of bloody red eyes and Raven black hair like you do, My Lady. In this Empire, only your family has those distinct features."

Then that means she's been going around telling people she's an Arkwright without even knowing!

"Wow. Sir, you're sharp."

Mr. Warde laughed heartily and spoke "You need not address me formally, Young Lady. I prefer you calling me old man in a carefree manner."

"No Sir. I've seen your capabilities, and you've gained my respect. Besides, I also don't like being called My Lady, just call me Avy." she was too happy to meet another curious freak like her, she had the intuition that they would get along just fine.

"You are indeed Alcasser's granddaughter. You too are much alike, then you can treat me like a grandfather since I am old enough to be one."

"You know my Grandfather?" she asked

The old man walked back to his seat at the counter before answering. "Well yes. We fought side by side in many wars, including when he received the title War Hero."

'Old people sure are scary.' she said inwardly, she read about their family, but those achievements weren't written in the book she found.

"And you speak like your Grandmother."

She knows nothing about her grandmother and she's certain that the Original Avy knows only a bit about her too. She was not written in the family book, in fact, every woman without the Arkwright blood wasn't. All the wives that were taken in by the Family were nowhere to be found in their records, only Avy and no one else.

"You grandparents met in the middle of War, Lady Margaret is a high ranking noble of an allied Kingdom. She's also known as the sole female warrior of her homeland and you inherited her vulgar way of speaking, if I may say."

The old man had a smile plastered on his face feeling the nostalgia of the good old days as he reminisce the memories of his old friends that has been long since he last saw.

"I've never met her before but I can say she's a great woman." she stated.

Knowing all of that, it became more reasonable why the author needed to use the main villain to trick the original Avy and make her join his side. It is so that she would break away from her family's grasps on her own because she could never be taken down with those powerful and influential people protecting her.

The Arkwrights are the wall shielding her from the main characters but if she goes out by herself, it'll be easier for her to meet her doom. Because it is not needed to go through troubles just for a minor villainess, a marionette-like her to be defeated.

Avy stayed for a few more minutes listening to the old shop owner while picking out the things she wanted to buy, which took her a lot of time and money because she was too curious about the new things in there that she wanted to try everything out before she decided to leave.

"Ugh..." the man who was knocked out earlier groaned, Avy finally realized that he has been lying there the whole time.

She went to him and stomped on his back before turning to Mr. Warde.

"Hey pops. What are you gonna do with this scum?" she asked.

"Just leave that man in there. I will make my Son take care of him when he gets back. He's a knight tasked to patrol in this territory." he replied before throwing something towards which she caught without any problem.

It was the metal pen earlier.

"You seem to be immersed by that pen, you can have it." he told her.

"I didn't know I was too obvious." she laughed and said her thanks before going out of the shop.

She was walking on the streets with a lively grin on her face. She opened the bag containing the materials she bought, couldn't wait to try it out at home when she saw the robot that she fixed inside the bag. She took it out and smiled, the old man must've sneaked it inside together with the items she purchased.

"Come on Tertius! Ethan!" said a tiny voice of a little boy from afar before something suddenly bumped on Avy, causing her to let go of the Toy Knight. She glanced behind her and saw a kid maybe no older than ten years old sitting on the ground, he must've fallen after bumping onto her.

"Leo stand up! They'll catch up to us!" another, the same height as him holding a small loaf of bread and a smaller boy grasping apples with his clothes, showing his bare stomach were also there.

"I'm sorry!" the boy called Leo stood up quickly before the three of them ran away with such speed that Avy didn't have the time to speak.

"Ugh. Kids." she muttered and went to pick up the toy on the ground a meter away from her, but before she could even bend down to take it, someone running passed by and stepped on it, breaking the toy into pieces.

The man and his companion stopped and looked back at her and clicked his tongue. "Why the fuck are you blocking the way?" he said.

"Hey let it go for now, the kids might get away at this rate." said his companion.

"Tsk." the man clicked his tongue once again before the two of them ran off.

It was the last straw of Avy's patience.

"Fuck." she cursed.

Picking up all the pieces of the toy on the ground, grunting, she breathed out sharply and ran after the men.

Luckily, they didn't get too far, it seemed like they caught up to the children and brought them to an alley so that they could do anything to them without being seen by people. But too bad for them, Avy heard one of the kids crying.

"We're sorry! I said don't hit him anymore!" yelled the child.

She looked across the street and saw a bucket of water in front of a store bakery and an idea entered her mind. She went to the bucket of water and it was a good thing someone from the bakery came out.

"I'm taking this, lady." she said and handed a gold coin to the Old Lady who came out before going back to the alley.

She was hiding out of the men's sight as she rummage inside the bag with multiple things inside and took out a small lightning stone and big as her fingernail. She took a big rock on the ground and tied the stone in it using her handkerchief, and she's all set. She stood up and entered the alley just to be greeted by the two men beating up the kids.

"How dare you filthy brats steal from us!" the man who broke her Toy Knight growled angrily at the younger boy kicking the poor child who was curled into a ball in an attempt to protect himself.

Avy threw a pebble at him to call his attention, which was successful because the man took a few steps backward and fell on his butt.

"What the fuck?!" the man shouted before touching his head and see who the culprit was. The other violently let go of the two children to aid his friend.

"You have the fucking balls to break my toy and get away with it without paying me back." Avy's eyebrows creased. She looked at the three children and spoke.

"Come here." she said.

"Where did this bitch come from?" the man helped the other to stand up giving Avy a dirty look.

"A place where I'd be sent to jail by doing this." she said and splashed the water in the bucket to the two men before taking the rock with stone and smashing it hard to the ground where there is water.

The stone broke into pieces like her Toy Knight, releasing some kind of electricity as if a short circuit occurred, and it went as she expected.

"Go to hell. Filthy scums."
