"Sister!" Ciel immediately ran towards Avy after seeing her sitting up as if she was not dying just a few minutes ago.

"Are you still hurt somewhere? Do you feel any pain?–"

"I don't. Surprisingly." she said, cutting him off before eyeing every single person present inside the room and finally her gaze landing on her grandfather standing a couple of meters away from the bed.

"Hello Grandpa." she greeted the old man with a slight nod of acknowledgement, causing him to raise his brows a little in surprise after hearing the carefree welcome from his granddaughter which he usually only hears when she's talking to the Prince and her childhood first love.

"Child, are you sure you are not hurt?" Lord Alcasser set aside the Priest and slowly walked towards Avy with his stern expression slightly becoming softer.

"I...."

*growl*

Before she could even finish her sentence, her own stomach answered on its own turning the whole room silent as the five men tried their very best not to show any facial expression on their faces.

"That... That's mine." "I'm famished, I haven't eaten yet."

The two young boys said at the same time to cover for Avy, thinking that she'd be ashamed.

Duke Alcasser cleared his throat "Very well. We should probably eat since it is already noon. Call the Lady's maid to help her wash up and bring her food here, Raux." he said signalling everyone to head out of the room.

"Understood, My Lord." the head chef answered before vacating the room together with the Priest and his master. Avy looked at the two young boys who were left with her and noticed that she was not in the room she used to stay in.

"Why am I here?" she asked

"We arrived in your room with the carpet and half of your bed burned down, sister. The assassin must've used his magic on you." Ciel answered, right, he wasn't able to witness Avy performing magic instinctively because he and Light only arrived when she was already on the floor, with barely any strength left for her to even stand.

"Where's Marie?"

"Your personal maid helped the injured people since she's an aqua-type mage that can use healing magic." Light responded, even though Avy didn't say anything, he knew for a fact that she was concerned about the servant's well-being, considering the fact that she asked about her whereabouts just after she woke up from being almost killed.

"I see..." the lady looked thoughtful for a second before looking back at the two of them. "What about you two?"

They stared at her in confusion and took a couple of moments to understand what she meant.

"Y-yes sister. We will be going now." Ciel said, thinking she was asking why are they still not vacating the room. She must be tired from all of the stuff she went through and it's understandable if she wants to rest and not be bothered by them for some time.

They were about to exit the room when Avy spoke again. "I wasn't telling you to get out." she said, quite offended. It's not that she could blame them anyways, she knew that the original owner of the body is not really familiar to familial love hence she's not warm towards her family, in fact, she was never sweet to anyone except two people.

"You're not hurt, are you?" she asked them which made them stare at her, unable to comprehend what she just said. A couple of seconds later, they had their cheeks decorated with pink specks of dust of bashfulness of the question that came from the older sister who was known to be uncaring towards everyone.

"Y-yes, sister." both of them said in unison.

"Good. I don't forgive people who die and make me attend their funerals. I don't like funerals." Avy stated in all honesty. She didn't really hate funerals, to be straight, she never liked any gatherings with many people around, may they be sad, happy, celebrating, or mourning. But after seeing two deaths in a row, one of them being hers and the other one being one of the few memories that will forever be engraved on her whole being, since she was the one who buried the body, she never wanted to see any kind of funeral again. Or to be precise, not the deaths of people she had accepted in her life.

On the other hand, the two looked at her in melancholy. There is no person belonging to the high society who doesn't know about Duchess Arkright's death, which happened to unfold before her six-year-old daughter's eyes. It must've left a very deep scar on the said lady's heart.

"Don't worry sister. I won't." Ciel smiled at her in a reassuring manner.

Light just cleared his throat and said. "I'm a Prince of this Empire. It will take decades before I die."

Just after that, the two young men started to see Avy in a different light, the newfound respect for the brave lady slowly growing as they admire her more. Their older sister.

"Will you be returning to Kriseon, You're Highness?" Juderick, a trusted Knight and one of the most talented figures that leads a powerful force that is well known throughout the whole Empire asked his master.

"Hn." the tall man, standing a couple of meters from him hummed in response. His soft snow-white locks swayed by the wind hitting his tired yet beautiful face, his complexion was tinted in an orange pinkish color that the same color as the sky, watching the sunset from the balcony of the palace he was currently residing in.

"Very well. We will do our best to escort the royal families of the north in your place." the Knight of the Crown, as they call the likes of him bowed respectfully. The Prince's crystal gold eyes reflected the exhaustion he acquired from the last couple of weeks, dark circles under as if he hasn't slept for days while he gazed at the communication stone that was dimly lit after he received a call telling him about his fiance's misfortune.

He was supposedly the one tasked to escort the royal families of the north to their Empire for the upcoming Summit that will be held after a month of preparation. But it would be disrespectful to wait for another week for him to go back and check on Avy's well-being. Even though their marriage was made because of political connections, his duties as her future husband should be fulfilled.

"For the love of God, stop crying. You've been going at it for two hours." Avy retorted at her maid sharply in an annoyed tone. It was because she practically bawled her eyes out after seeing her in a good state and continued crying while apologizing for not being able to come to her rescue sooner.

"Wipe the snot off your face and go get me another tray of food." she gestured at the pile of plates on the mini table she was eating on. Just like Mariel, she has also been doing the same thing for the last two hours, eating food until her small stomach is satisfied, but it seems like it wouldn't be the case any time soon.

"M-my lady, you're still going to eat?" Mariel stopped sobbing to dry her tears and looked at her mistress worriedly, she has been going back and forth to the kitchen no less than ten times to refill Avy's food, and she has taken an amount of meal enough to feed ten hungry soldiers. Unfortunately, Avy doesn't like being watched while she was eating, and the only person allowed to enter the new room she was in was her, the personal maid, hence she has no choice but to be the one to deliver the food on her own.

"Yes. The food disappeared in front of me like magic, happy now?" the lady grunted, she also doesn't know the reason why she was so hungry that she could eat a horse, well no, she wouldn't eat a horse, but she feels like all her food just disappear right after she swallows them.

"Speaking of magic, do you have any plans to tell the Lord about yours, Miss? It's not that I'm prying, but leaving your magic as it is will be dangerous, not only for people around you but also for yourself." the maid said.

Avy raised both her eyebrows. "You mean, you didn't tell anyone?"

Mariel shook her head and said, "I am not in the right place to reveal such information in your stead, Mi'lady."

"Then train me."

"..."

Her personal servant wasn't able to respond right away. "Pardon?" she asked

"Teach me how."

"M-mi'lady. It would be an honor but we don't have the same attribute! I might give you the wrong advice and hurt you in the process!" she exclaimed. Of course, she is happy that her lady turned to her first! But she's no match to the professional teachers that nobles hire to teach their children. And in addition to that, Arkwrights don't just hire a magician, they pick the best from the best, which is technically themselves to guide their own blood to success.

"It'll be fine. Water and Blood are both liquids. And I don't want to be thought by a stranger one on one at this age. That would be embarrassing." Avy remarked, she never had tutors in her past life aside from her Father who was a University Professor. She finished learning intermediate level when she was just nine years old and often sit in her Father's class, waiting for him as her reason to be able to receive an education that of a college student. And just of the time, she just learns by herself by reading every single book in her Dad's study.

On the other hand, Mariel stopped fussing and looked at her lady in sadness. Avy was often the subject of talks in the social circles for not being able to use magic at her age when most people would be able to control theirs fully when they reach ten. If a rumor gets out that the Arkwrights hired a magician to teach her ladyship, she would be criticized and be gossiped about even after she masters her magic. And the lady hates people talking about her the most, that was one of the reasons why she stopped attending social gatherings.

"Then, tell me when you want to start, Mi'lady. I will assist you to the best of my abilities."

"Sure. Now go to the kitchen and get me food, also, tell Raux, that was his name, right? To shut his mouth and not tell anyone about the magic thing." Avy stated.

"Yes. I will be back, Mi'lady." said Mariel before taking the tray of plates with her and leaving the room.

"For someone with a nasty attitude. You sure have a faithful follower, My Lady."

Just right after Mariel closed the door of Avy's room, she almost curse so loud when a voice directly whispered to her ear.

"WHAT– Ares..?!" she exclaimed in a low tone when a black serpent appeared on her shoulder, slithering its way in front of her, but unlike when she met him before, his size was comparably smaller and less intimidating.

"Greetings."

"Yes. Hello. How are you?" she greeted him back with a fake smile.

"I am fine–"

"'I am fine'- shut up. Can't you appear normally? It's not good for my heart. And don't you have other forms aside from snakes?" Avy told him with a frown. If she had a weak heart, she surely would've died right away in her current world.

"How are you feeling?"

"For now. Hungry and annoyed. Get the fuck out of my sight before I pull out your snake tongue and use it as an earring." Avy growled at him in irritation. But the said snake didn't bother to listen and just continued blabbering.

"Coming back to your first question, I can't. Living inside you is already quite bizarre. The only way I can come out is to appear out of thin air, or do you prefer me coming out of your mouth?"

Just the thought of a snake coming out of her made Avy grimace in disgust. She shivered slightly and answered. "No. Don't."

"And as for your second question..."

Ares didn't finish his sentence and his snake appearance instantly turned into black smoke that formed a humanoid silhouette before it became a fully grown man with disheveled long dark hair and snake-like red eyes, he was breathtakingly beautiful, he was perfect, except for the fact that he doesn't have any clothing on.

"Wow. You're reaaally naked." Avy commented and before the black smoke dispersed on his lower part, she quickly threw the thick blanket at him to cover him up. She doesn't really want to see his man thing hanging out, and that would be inappropriate.

"Is this form better, My lady?" Ares asked with a sly smile but Avy just stared at him as if he was a piece of shit on the ground.

"You look like the idiot version of Ashton, and a man version of myself, but without clothes. And so to say, gross." she told him honestly but was only answered with a laugh.

"The only difference between you and Avy is that you're not afraid to voice out your thoughts whilst she keeps it to herself. You both have trash personalities." he said.

"But let's start anew, shall we?"
