Something wicked is happening, but something I cannot wither.

My body floats, but I could breathe. The relaxation I had felt was nothing from what I had ever felt before. I moved my arm slowly, my motions felt heavy. Even in the midst of this peculiar situation, my body felt afloat, it felt like no one could get me. I felt at peace.

As I breath deeply, I felt cold hands touch me by my cheeks. I opened my eyes as I gasp, Merrik was in front of me. This handsome, evil, cunning man was in front of me. And at this moment, I wanted to kill him.

His face was displayed with a smile, his eyes glimmering ashes of gold. It was like he found his prey. "Do you not want this, (Y/n)?" he asked, his voice silky and echoing throughout the cerulean waters that swallowed us both whole.

I looked up, but no light had shed tears to my presence. It was as if I was in the middle of the ocean. But maybe I was. Merrik's long tail wrapped around me, like wings that wanted to protect me. "Give me back my sister, Fish." I answered, ignoring his wants. I will not give in. Merrik frowned.

"Let me give you all of the treasures, my dear bird, all that is dear to you, you will get. Let me feed you, shelter you, have you, reign with you. Be my queen and leave your mortal life, my (y/n), let yourself be mine." Merrik plea as the waters whirled around us at his command, Merrik took my hand and cinched me by the waist, clinging onto me for dear life.

We began to spin, our eyes locked from each other. It felt like we were dancing in waters. "Let me give you all of your desires, my little bird. You are not a queen, but a goddess."

"You had took what is dear to me, and you will pay for what you had done."

He stopped spinning me around as the waters calmed. He leaned forward, our lips inches away from crashing to each other. "Let me worship you, (y/n). Let me worship you like a goddesses temple...and in time, you will not worry." he whispered low as he crashed his lips onto mine.

I gasped, my body flinching up as I was back inside the bunker. "Mother of pearls! finally you woke up! It was like you were casted into a deep slumber or something, lass!" Kyriella complained, her whole body leaning by the door frame. "Get up and eat, we're leaving." she raised a brow and left.

"Jack?" I called but there was no answer. I bolted out of the bedroom in a panic, assuming for the worse but was cut short when I saw him at the table eating to his hearts content. "(Y/n)! Your awake! finally, get breakfast! quickly!" he motioned.

I sat at the table, all eyes occupied at the food in front of us. I began to eat. I didn't have the stomach to, but I knew better than to go out to the sea on an empty stomach. Today was a big day, we are closer to his nest.

I stole a glance at Kyriella whose gaze are already set on mine. "What?" I asked, growing impatient of the prolonged eye contact. My patience were running thin, which is badly seen by my many fallen hair strands and sunken eyebags, my chapped lips, and my dry skin.

The thought of my sister being a cadaver had made me stop caring for my own principles. I'd rather be tossed into the ocean than see my sister cold.

"We go. Now." Kyriella said sternly as Yereva took our plates. The pirates heed their goodbyes to the couple as jack and I only made our way back to the ship. Their crew was already on site, rolling barrels and other piratee things that i have no interest of.

I looked out at the deck, the cold breeze making my shoulders shiver. "(Y/n)?" Kyriella said as I made eye contact. "What?" A harsh tone left my lips, "What that merman wants is you." said she, "And what of it?" I questioned.

"And you also want him." Kyriella stated instead of raising a question, "Not the way that you think. He has my sister, and I would do anything to save her."

She looks at me, eye to eye as her dreaded words escaped from her lips. "Even if you were to trade?
