Eleanora glanced at her phone screen. She could not help but let the smile come across her face. Xavier was crazy but she could not say that she really did not like him. He impressed her and there was no lie to it. She could not wait to go to her date.
"What are you smiling about?" She jumped, letting out a startled yelp as Hunter whispered in her ear.
His eyes narrowed in suspicion.
"What's up?" He was looking at her and then at her phone that she was clutching in her hand.
"Hunt! You scared me and it's nothing." She nervously giggled, praying that he won't get further suspicious.
"You are a terrible liar, brat! So you better tell me the truth before I use my own approach." He stated smoothly.
When he said his approach, it was not nice. She already knew. So she thought about telling him the half thing.
"Well, there's a boy." She admitted, while carefully watching his blank face.
"I think I might like him."
"WHAT?" Three different, thunderous shouts resounded from some different corners of the villa.
Her face paled.
In a moment, Vincent, Lucifer and Damon were standing in front of her.
"You are so little, Eleanora!"
"Yes!"
"I won't allow it!"
"Yes!"
"This is unacceptable!"
"Yes!"
The trio said at the same time. Hunter agreed with each one of them verbally.
"B-but why not?" She whined, showing her complete displeasure.
"Who is he?" Hades's voice rang through. She watched him also sitting on the couch beside her.
"His name is Xavier and he is very nice." She admitted, her face getting red.
"Ehh! She's even blushing!" Lucifer looked absolutely horrified.
"What's wrong with it?" Nora huffed, puffing her cheeks.
"As soon as William is coming, we are telling him."
Nora paused at Hunter's statement.
"Where is William?"
"His friend is in town. So he went to meet him!" Lucifer shrugged answering her.
"You are not allowed to date. It is crystal clear." Hades commented.
"Wha--?"
"Not a word! Or we will ground you. If that guy Xavier is willing to wait for you for another 30 years! Then we will agree." Vincent proposed and others acknowledged the idea without hesitation.
"But he does not even know that I like him." Nora said, this time telling them another truth.
Xavier only knew that she was going on a date with him because he succeeded in pressing her to finally agree.
"That's good too and we are serious."
Saying this, they went back to their own rooms. Nora sighed and curled up on the couch. Her scowl remained on her face as she turned the tv on.
A ping on her phone got her attention. She looked down at the screen and realized it was a text from Xavier.
~Hey babygirl. I will see you at 6~
Her cheeks tinted red at his text.
~Stop with this cringed name~
She giggled as he responded back.
~You don't deny that you don't love it~
~whatever you say. I will see you later. My brothers are here~
She put her phone away as Lucifer joined her with a bowl of popcorn, so they could watch movies together.
Anyway, there was no problem in rebelling a bit.
****************
In the evening, Nora put on one of Hades's comfortable hoodie and matched it along with a pair of black jeans. She straightened her hair and applied a bit of makeup. The clock hit direct 5:45 and that's when she knew that it was the right.
She picked her bag up and phone out and walked out of her room, passing the living room and kitchen. Vincent was trying to cook under Damon's watchful eye while Hades, Lucifer and Hunter were lazing off.
"Where are you going?" Hunter asked as his eyes fell on Nora first.
"Just to the bookstore, next street. I need some study material to finish my assignment." She lied to them with a straight face, the mirror-practice had actually paid off.
"I will go with you." Lucifer said while getting up but Nora shook her head.
"There's no need. It will hardly take me an hour of something. I will be back by 7 and Luci, you will feel bored there. I know you and books don't get along with each other." Nora blinked innocently but she was telling the truth.
"You are hiding something." Hunter said straightforward.
Nora frowned.
"Do you not trust me enough?"
Vincent paused what he was doing. He and Damon both looked at their siblings. Lucifer scoffed at that while Hades silently watched. Hunter was staring down at her emotionlessly.
"If you do, so you all won't follow me. I need some space too, you know." Nora said what was in her heart. Her brothers were being overprotective just like Acacia and David. She did not want to feel suffocated or depressed.
"I will be back in an hour." She stated and walked out of the door. They didn't try to stop her. As soon as she stepped out of the door, she instantly felt guilt overwhelming her.
At the second street, Xavier was waiting on his bike. He smirked, seeing that she finally came. But he paused seeing that she was not looking like herself.
"What's wrong, babydoll?" He asked, casually leaning down so they were making direct eye-contact.
"None of your business. You only have an hour." She crossed her arms over her chest, while looking at him strictly.
"Aw. Don't be so adorable. I might kidnap you." He whispered the last words sincerely like he meant it. Nora rolled her eyes at that.
"Whatever."
Then he took her to a diner where they talked, simply sharing their interests and likes-dislikes with each other. By the end of an hour, Nora understood that he was a very funny and nice guy. She had a really good time and did not even realized when the hour finished.
By 7, he drove back to their meeting place. She climbed down from his bike and looked at him as he stared back at her expectedly.
"I didn't think that I would actually have so much fun." Nora admitted.
"So maybe another date and a longer one?" Xavier asked back hopefully.
Nora looked at him quietly blushing. Then, she slowly nodded.
"I would like that."
She slowly took a step forward. Xavier was stunned when she grabbed his collar and pulled him down to place a small kiss on his lips. It was barely anything but he felt like his heartbeat skipped suddenly.
"Thank you for today." She said and watched as he mounted his bike still in daze.
"See you tomorrow." He muttered with slightly red cheeks. Nora noticed and held back a giggle.
She watched as he drove away. Smiling, she turned around but never expected to find someone familiar in front of her.
Her breath hitched, staring at this person.
He was leaning against his black Aston Martin and staring at her with his hands in his pockets.
Her face paled as he tilted his head slightly, as if amused.
She should have been careful. She should have understood when her brothers told her that William was meeting his friend. He only has two friends and one of them was in front of her.
"Who was he?" Nora was surprised hearing him talking to her. More at that quiet mockery he held in his voice.
Nora frowned.
"What I do is not any of your business, Mr. Gray." She said and started to walk past him but he blocked her way.
"Dominic. You can call me Dominic."
She looked up at him, her lips pressed in thin line.
"I would suggest that you don't start anything with that guy."
"What do you mean?" She was being cautious. Even William trusts Dominic so much and she did not knew this guy very well. She was sure that he would snitch on her to William, everything that he saw.
"Simple, you already belong to someone."
"I don't belong to anyone. You are delusional!"
He didn't say anything to answer back. He just stared, the curve of his lips tilted up as he lit a cigarette.
Nora was astonished. She was having a really weird feeling. He was being mysterious like he knew something that she didn't.
"Go home, Eleanora. Before I throw you over my shoulder and drop you back home myself. I'm sure William won't mind after he knows what you have been doing."
"Jerk!" She mumbled under her breath and stormed past him.
Dominic took a long drag of smoke in and softly breathed out.
"What do you want to say about this, bestfriend?" He asked casually as William came to stand beside him.
"If you talk to my sister like that ever again, I won't hesitate to put a bullet between your eyes." William threatened in a calm and kind tone.
Dominic just chuckled, finding humour in this situation.
"What do you think about this dating?"
"She's no longer a minor. I can't stop her from enjoying her life but I also don't want her to get hurt or think I'm trying to control her life. Having a little sister is so complicated." Dominic listened to William's words and handed him a cigarette.
"You just don't want to be a bad brother." Dominic stated, simply concluding with few words.
"I'm glad that I don't have siblings."
"Keep an eye on this guy though." William said.
"I hate it but I will tell someone trustworthy to do it. When are you telling Nora about that contract?" Dominic internally seemed eager to know. William could see clearly.
"When she turns 25!"
William could also see that he was fully unimpressed by his statement.
"I will have to make sure that this boy stay in his limits until then."
William chuckled at that.
"Are you scared that my sister will fall in love with that boy?"
"The situation will flip, I'm sure about it. After all I'm 100 times better than some lame boy." Dominic muttered, crushing the remaining cigarette under his boot.
