Eleanora sat down in the library while leaning back against the wall. Xavier sat beside her, scrolling through his phone.
"Hunter and Lucifer are going to one of their friends' party tonight." Nora's words caught Xavier's attention.
He immediately shut his phone and looked at her.
"So you are home alone?"
"Not really! I still have 4 more brothers." She giggled.
He huffed silently.
"It's been a week already since our last date. I want to go to another one." Xavier muttered as he suddenly grabbed her hand. Nora smiled faintly at his words.
"How about I sneak out?" She asked. He looked at her carefully.
"Can you?"
"I mean Hunt and Luci are the only one who keeps strict eye on me. Rest of my brothers are pretty laid back."
Xavier tried hard to hide his smirk.
"So ok then. They won't even know when you went out or came back."
She again thought about it for a second and then nodded.
"I will meet you in the third street. Last time someone caught me but thankfully, he didn't snitch to my brothers."
Xavier looked at her with a raised brow.
"Really? Is that something I should be concerned about?" A trickle of sweat rolled down the back of his neck.
Nora shook her head, sensing his sudden tenseness.
"It is nothing to be worry about. He was just being bluff and I think he didn't even see you."
In the evening, after finishing the early dinner, Nora excused herself to her room, saying that she had a headache and she's going to sleep. Only Damon and Hades were home. Vincent and William were out too.
As the clock hit 9, she put a long jacket on a pretty red dress she was wearing, to protect herself from cold and slipped her heels on. She looked at her reflection one time in the mirror and hid back a smile.
First time sneaking out was giving her an exciting thrill.
A ping on her phone got her attention. She checked the message and saw that it was from Xavier. She barely contained her smile and opened her room's window. Her room was on the ground floor, so it was easy to jump out. She shut her window and turned around swiftly to take a step forward.
All of a sudden, a cold chill hit her body. It almost knocked the breath out of her. The temperature wasn't even that cold but she was almost close to shivering even after wearing the jacket.
She shook off the weird feeling she felt and ran out of there while keeping an eye on the closed front doors of villa.
As she moved past the first street, her eyes widened as they fell on Hunter and Lucifer. Both were walking in her direction while talking to each other. Her face paled.
Just as she thought she was going to be caught, a hand covered her mouth and she was dragged behind a random house.
She tried to protest but a familiar voice whispered in her ear, effectively calming her down.
"It's me." Xavier said and waited for the perfect opportunity.
Hunter stopped in the middle of his way.
"Did you feel that?" He asked Lucifer who was busy checking out a random girl on street.
"What?" Lucifer inquired mindlessly.
"It must be nothing." Hunter shrugged and they both walked away from there.
Xavier and Nora waited for them to turn the corner and finally came out of their hiding spot.
"Let's go." Xavier said urgently and grabbed her hand. He started to walk fastly out of there. He was tense, looking over his shoulder each and every second while Nora was having some mixed feeling after that close encounter with her brothers.
Just as they approached his bike, Nora dug her feet on the road to stop him.
"What's wrong?" He asked with a concerned expression on his face.
"Umm Xavier. I don't really feel right. Can we not go today?"
"Nora! Are you crazy?! You are backing away now after risking so much. It is only about few hours." He expressed anger on his face but then quickly switched back to give her a convincing smile.
"Please." He tried again.
She sighed but then nodded, agreeing to it. Xavier's smile brightened and he ushered her to put a helmet on.
As they drove out of there, Xavier was beaming while Nora was feeling more and more paranoid. She knew nothing could be done now. She was the one who had proposed this idea after all. She let out another sigh and placed her cheek on his jacket for somewhat comfort, feeling weird feeling of coldness biting her skin under the jacket.
After an hour of driving, he finally stopped his bike in front of a grand restaurant.
"So this is the place." Xavier announced with a bright grin on his face.
"It must be too expensive to book, right?" She asked.
He shook his head.
"Nah! My brother owns it. He even let me have the whole place for myself just for our date."
Nora blinked at his words but then nodded.
"I see. It's nice." She whispered, looking at some guards that were strolling the place. She could feel eyes on her. As she was about to grab Xavier's hand, craving some comfort, he instantly stepped away from her.
She frowned.
"Let's go inside." He started to walk forward. She followed him, having none other choice. They went upto the terrace.
"Why don't you take a seat here? I need to use the bathroom." Saying this, he left her alone all by herself.
Nora looked around the arrangements. There was nothing she could find which was not perfect. She drank some water to calm her loudly beating heart and set the glass down.
She looked up at the full moon and held her chin with her hands.
Few minutes later, she finally heard some footsteps approaching and someone took a seat across her.
"Xav--"
Her mouth dried as instead of meeting Xavier's warm brown eyes, she stared at a pair of mismatched eyes that sent a shiver down her spine.
"Hello, Eleanora." Gianni whispered.
She was about to stand up but her vision spun and her legs trembled.
"W-wha--" She whimpered, holding on to her suddenly pounding head.
"Tch. Calm down Nora. You might hurt yourself." He reached forward to grab her hand in his.
"Leave me. W-what are you doing here? Where's X-xavier? W-what did y-you do to him?" Her eyes were barely opening and a blackness was taking over in front of her vision. Xavier's sudden disappearance and her state was pointing at something- she was slowly starting to understand the whole plot.
"Xavier hmm. He is where he should be and I am here where I should be." He stared at her with such loving expression that Nora wanted to hide away from him.
"L-let go." She protested weakly, while trying to pull her hand out of his grip. It tightened around her wrist making her scream as she heard a small crack of her bone.
"You can never escape me, Nora."
Swiftly, he pulled her out of the seat and started to drag her out of there. Her feet were not even moving. They were being dragged behind him.
"What next, brother?"
He looked at Xavier who was already waiting for him near their cars in garage along with several of guards.
"I want you out of the country. They will come after you first. If you get caught, it's better you kill yourself."
Xavier nodded with a blank face. His eyes discreetly avoided to look in Nora's direction. Nora was barely conscious to understand what was going on around her.
Without another word, he dragged Nora to his car and threw her in.
Xavier watched silently as the cars drove out of there. His mission was successful. He should have felt satisfied but he was feeling dread. His chest was beginning to hurt.
"I'm sorry, Nora."
"I'm weak and I can't fight my brother."
