Wanda watched with wide eyes as Gianni raised his gun in Max and Victor's direction. Her chest started to feel heavy. There was no way she was going to watch her children getting killed.

Victor was silent and staring right at Gianni's face as if daring him to pull the trigger while his little brother stood beside him with his little arms crossed over his chest and trying his best to imitate his brother's serious look.

In a swift move, Wanda stomped on one of the guard's foot and kicked another one in the crotch. She closed the gap between him with a blur and as Gianni pulled the trigger, she snapped his arm up. The bullet hit the chandelier on the roof and the darkness surrounded them.

"Fuck!" Gianni cursed as Wanda did not release his arm immediately but painfully and swiftly bend it back, earning a horrible pop of his bone.

She pushed him to the floor as Gianni breathed out harshly while trying to ease his shoulder and elbow's pain.

"I will kill that bitch!" He gritted as his men helped him to stand. One of them was holding his phone in front of his face with a flashlight on.

"Sir! They ran out!" They reported in a frantic tone.

"So fucking catch them, you bastards!"

As the guards ran outside more like one of them limped outside, Gianni was trying to fix his arm but to no avail. It felt like she had managed to fracture a bone. He ignored the painful throb and rushed in the direction of front door.

Wanda was helping Nora in the direction of the car while Max and Victor trailed behind them. She could see his men catching up to them and it made her growl.

"Victor! Max! Help Nora to the car." She instructed her sons.

"Mom... Dad is coming with help. He will be here by any second. Please be safe until then." Victor informed her gaining a smile of relief from her.

"I am glad." Wanda said and watched as Victor and Max made their way to the car that was parked in the second street. Nora looked back slightly and gave her a grateful smile. Wanda grinned back.

She hoped that her niece Anastasia would return back home safe and sound just like Eleanora.

Wanda looked back hearing the running footsteps of men who got closer to her. She grinned and looked back, ready to beat them once again.

That she did without any real issue. They were lying passed out near her feet by the time Gianni made it to her.

Wanda looked up to see him standing in front of her with his gun raised.

"Nora was mine since the moment she was born. She is destined to be my wife. I finally got her after waiting such a long time and you let her escape."

Wanda scoffed at his words.

"How delusional you can be, huh! She is not your property or someth--" Her words were cut off as Gianni pulled the trigger of his gun.

She bit her lip hard and held her bleeding shoulder, her eyes were glaring, wanting to wipe that ridiculous look on his face.

"Did you feel pain?" He chuckled without a hint of remorse.

"I will drag her back over your body! Just you see, you fucking bitch!" Saying this, he shot her again. This time the bullet penetrated her chest, straight to her heart.

With a small gasp, she fell down on the floor. Gianni laughed crazily. He stepped over her body to walk in the direction the trio went but Wanda grabbed his ankle and dug her nails tightly to stop him from moving.

He looked down at her with hate burning in his eyes and with his second leg, kicked her in the ribs furiously. He kept kicking until her hold loosened. Her hand fell down on her side.

"Pathetic!" Gianni spat at her and ran away.

Wanda wheezed to breathe as blood rolled down her chin.

"Tristan... I-I hope you s-save them." She whispered and looked up at the clear sky. The sun was rising but her light was diminishing.

Looking at the scene, Wanda was reminded of the day Tristan proposed to her. She clearly remembered as he said that he wanted to spend the rest of his sunrises and sunsets with her. A broken smile played at the end of her lips.

"WANDA!" A yell of her name caught her attention. It was Tristan. She could hear him running towards her. She could feel his arms encircling around her as he held her to his chest.
