Eleanora's frown deepened as she stared at the empty chair of William, in the dining hall. It had been a complete week and William hadn't returned from wherever he was gone.
She was getting homesick because William had yet to give her permission to start her school back. She was somewhat worried for him for no particular reason.
She was quite awkward with her other six brothers. They didn't really talked, just only small hellos. She wasn't expecting any communication from Lucifer and twins sides at all. Damon was the only one kind one to her. He never left her feel lonely even when she locked herself up in her room.
She avoided Alexander like no more. Whenever she saw him coming near, she would literally run in the opposite direction. He was a cruel man! Eleanora had seen it. His those words were now turning into haunting nightmares.
She stared blankly at the ceiling of her room. Her fingers subconsciously playing with each other as she thought about her brothers.
She was trying to observe her brothers silently. Something that was so much difficult. Their actions, their words never met each other at same pace.
The oldest William was always cold, strict and like a parental figure for O'Crimson siblings and a truly respectful person. She had observed in the past few months, since she was taken into their home that her brothers respected him and his decision. His words were the rules itself. Not even them, but in the eyes of every guard and servant, she saw more respect than fear.
Then there was Vincent. He always followed William's shadow. His presence itself demanded respect and showed authority. Sometime Nora felt like he cared for her. It wasn't really that quite obvious but Nora just knew. He might be hidden in darkness but she was aware that he was always there for her.
Then there was Hunter. She felt his eyes boring at her mostly whenever Alexander was around. A sense of comfort always fluttered her heart whenever Hunter was near her. Even he didn't really liked her but something in his dark presence told her that he will never hurt her. While comparing her very first meeting with him, she was starting to see the changes in the way he interacted with her silently with his emotionless stare.
Lucifer was one of her reckless type of brother. The sly smirk that always played on his lips, scared her each and every time. He was insidious and a cunning person. He was best at every job he was assigned. He liked to push Nora's buttons. His sarcastic remarks held a dark promise every time. His playful tone was the most dangerous out of every capability of his. He believed more in action less in talking.
Damon was the most gentle one out of all of them or might be the only gentle one. He cared for her truly and he never tried to hide it. He knew it perfectly how to use his words. Another reason, he was the most favorite brother of her was that he listened. He listened to her every time, her pain, the reason of her happiness or everything she wanted to share. He gave her his full attention and would always motivate her to fight against a hard time.
Hades was plainly arrogant. A womanizer, yes. He loved to sleep and he was like seriously good at hiding his emotions. He ignored her mere existence. He almost make it seen like he hated her. Nora felt like she could never form a little bond with him.
Angel was well a mystery. He was cold, calm and collected. Like William, he loved to smoke. It calmed his mind. The first time Nora saw him, he was like some real angel with that bright smile covering his features. But some days later, Nora was starting to note the changes in his personality...
Nora was still confused, why the entire world recognized her brothers by the name of 'evil'. They were rough and tough but there was a thin line between evil and bad. They kill but it was only their enemies and those who tried to hurt a family member. Or she still hadn't seen their real evil sides....
She made her way downstairs to find the servants rushing towards somewhere. Her eyes caught the glimpse of Serena.
"Serena!" She called her name to get her attention which Serena reluctantly did.
"Where are you all running off like that?" Nora asked confused.
"Master Damon has commanded us all to gather in the servant meeting hall." Serena replied, a worried frown evident on her face.
"Why?"
"I don't know." She replied quickly.
"I have to go." With that she rushed away in a blink of eye.
Nora frowned at this. Without a word, she made her way into the kitchen.
She prepared a quick, plain sandwich for herself and was about to take a first bite when the doors were kicked opened.
Angel stepped in and his eyes immediately fell on Nora.
He ignored her curious type of stare and strode towards the one of refrigerator. His fingers moved drummed rhythmically at it's door as he searched for whatever he wanted.
He finally picked up one bottle and popped the cap open. Nora watched him a little concerned as he moved the bottle close to his lips and started chugging the bitter liquid down his throat.
Some drops spilled down his chin and on his black leather jacket but he looked careless. He finished the whole bottle rather smoothly in few moments whereas Nora was only able to take another bite of her food.
She stared at him more worried as he picked another bottle. He slammed the now empty bottle down on the counter, earning a jump from Nora.
As he was about to move to pick another bottle, Nora stood up.
"Angel! Stop it."
He paid no heed to her words and started drinking again.
Nora hesitantly made her way towards him and tried to grab the bottle from his hand.
"Please Angel. Don't drink much. It's not good for y--" She was cut off mid sentence when he threw the half filled bottle across the kitchen.
She whimpered in fear at his aggressive move. The guards burst through the doors but immediately went out after seeing this scene.
"S-stop it. P-please.... You're s-scaring me." She whispered in an inaudible tone.
A shocked gasp escaped her lips when he gripped her jaw in bruising grip. Her eyes brimmed with tears at his move.
"Don't you ever try to stop me." He gritted in anger. His eyes literally turning red with the amount of alcohol he had consumed and mixed with uncountable amount of fury.
"Stop it. T-this is not yo--" Angel yet again cut her off
"STOP FUCKING TRYING TO FIGURE ME OUT! I FUCKING HATE THIS!" He yelled at her.
A frightened feeling gripped her heart as he glared furiously at her.
"THAT WAS A SIMPLE ACT! THIS IS REAL ME!"
Nora shook her head in negative almost unconsciously.
Her heart skipped a bit and she braced herself for the fall when he pushed her harshly.
Instead of feeling the painful impact of hard floor, warmth spread around her body as pair of arms wrapped around her petite waist and saved her.
She looked up in William's angry cold eyes. But his glare was fixated in Angel's direction.
"She's not a doll or something that you are throwing her like that." Nora was extremely shocked up on hearing his voice. After so many days, he finally was back.
"So tell her to stay out of my fucking way! I don't want to see her face." Angel hissed back in his drunken state.
"She's our sister and a part of this family! She have every right to stop you from doing anything absurd. But if I ever see you or anyone else intentionally harming her like that, you will regret this action." William's voice was emotionless and his tone blank but there was a hidden dark promise hiding behind his every word.
Her heart swelled with the warmth.
Angel didn't said anything but angrily and drunkenly stumbled out of the kitchen.
Nora peeked up at William's face through her wet eyelashes.
His eyes already staring back at her.
"Y-you are back..." She whispered awkwardly and stupidly. Upon hearing no response coming out from him, she continued.
"I am s-so sorry about that d-day." A shiver chilled down her spine as that day suddenly came in front of her eyes.
"There was nothing your fault! I know." The last two words that slipped out from his tongue fluttered her heart.
He know that means he knows... He knows that she is innocent. A victim not a whore..
"Umm if you don't mind me asking where were you?" She had to crane her neck pretty much to look at his face.
Comparing to her timid height, he was like a giant tree with his 6'8 frame.
"Work." He replied shortly in a one word. He wasn't exactly going to tell her that he was shot and almost died. The bullet missed his heart only by few inches.
Eleanora, the one and only innocent and the youngest member of the O'Crimson family needn't to know that.
"Oh. You must be hungry from your long trip. Shall I make you something to eat? The maids and cooks are busy in meeting." She asked in a almost hopeful sounding tone.
William gave her a nod of approval and she was immediately hurrying to prepare something for him.
William watched her with a scrutinizing gaze.
It's been going to 3 months since he himself forcefully take her here and he introduced her to his world. The way she now was trying to mix up in this family was interesting. He knew even Lucifer and twins didn't liked her much but she had already considered the seven of them as her brothers. Her actions told him that she was trying to learn to become a perfect sister and he liked it.
