Violet's POV:

I wake up panting. It's so hot in here.

I glance around, trying to understand where I am. Yesterday I was too tired to even talk, so two guards took me here.

Apparently I can't leave this huge house because if I do, a sick bastard will find me and kidnap me. How the fuck did I get to this point?

The sun is shining on half of the room, I get up and open the window. I walk towards the bathroom, looking at myself in the mirror.

I don't know why I look different. Not physically different.

I'm in a sports bra and shorts, but someone left a couple of clothes on my bed. It's a pair of shorts but they're huge and of course a huge shirt too.

I change and exit the bedroom, two men waiting at either side of my door. They look down and start walking towards the stairs. It's a really big hallway, all white and clean.

We're now in a beautiful white kitchen, with a black island at the centre. It's so pretty and clean and classic but modern at the same time. (if you couldn't imagine the kitchen it's okay, there's a picture at the end of the chapter)

The kitchen island is surrounded by chairs, and a few men are sitting there, including Jacob. And Alex. I hate him.

I turn to leave but the two guards that brought me here are standing behind me, blocking the way. "You have to eat Miss, it's going to be a stressful day" one of them says and he's right. I can't make it without eating, so I sit on a chair, the one opposite Alex's.

He doesn't even look up at me, because he doesn't have the balls to face me right now. To explain everything.

"Good morning Violet" Jacob says smiling and I smile back at him, because after all he's the nicest person in this place "Good morning Jacob, how's Sil?" I ask and he takes a bite of his pancake "She's great, would you like to meet her in the afternoon?" he instantly understood what I wanted "Yes please" I say smiling and he nods "Of course" and we continue eating.

Alex still doesn't look at me. This fucker.

"Alex how are you?" I question out loud and he stops eating, gulping the last bite. He was damn wrong if he thought he could avoid this conversation. "I'm fine" he responds, drinking a glass of water and getting up. Not so fast boy.

"I'd like to talk to you, of course if you have free time in your busy schedule, or do you have another secret job?" I tease and he stops, finally looking at me.

His eyes are filled with calmness. "Okay Miss Rodriguez, we'll talk. Meet me in the meetings room in 10" "Make it 5" I say getting up, going back to my room.

The two guards take me to the meetings room and I enter, sitting in one of the many chairs. Alex comes in after 2 minutes, sitting on the other side of the table.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I immediately ask, trying to avoid silence at any cost. "I couldn't. I can't go around and say 'Hey, did you know I work for the Italian Mafia?' " he sarcastically says. He thinks he's funny, well he's not.

"I didn't want you to tell me that, but you could've told me that I was in danger" I shout and he just looks at me.

"Sorry won't fix shit, but I'm sorry I didn't tell you, I'm sorry I kidnapped you and drugged you, and I'm sorry you had to find out this way. But this is me, Violet. I'm Jacob and Blake's cousin and I work for them. My job at Aurora Hotel is just a fake thing to cover up" I take in all the things he just said. I stay in silence, just processing his words.

When I don't say anything he continues "You can hate me, you have every right to. Hate me, be mad at me, punch me, slap me, even break my bones, but please stay. Because I'd rather have you hating me and staying here, than having you loving me but being in danger."

I still don't respond, so he gets up and reaches the door.

"Alex, wait." I stop him, he's still facing the door, his back looking at me "I don't hate you. And I'm staying. But if you mess up again I'll kill you" he turns his head and smiles "I won't" he says, then opens the door and leaves.

I sit a few other minutes on that chair, thinking about the last two days.

When I get up the door opens and I'm faced with a very hot Blake. He's in a pair of shorts and a white t-shirt, that makes his muscles so much visible.

"I'm sorry I didn't know you needed the room" I say walking towards him, wanting to leave before things get awkward.

"It's okay I don't. I just needed to get my laptop. What are you going to do now?" he says and goes to grab his laptop from the table, before stepping closer to me.

I stop and close the door again, turning to him "I'm staying and-" he cuts me off "Did you think you had a choice?" I hear amusement in his tone, I furrow my eyebrows "Excuse me what?" Did I hear him correctly? "You understood. Even if you wanted to leave you couldn't. It's not a choice you get to make, tesoro" he's now smirking, does he think he's funny or something?

"You were the one who told me that I had to choose between you or Sebastian, did you forget tesoro?" I don't know where all this confidence is coming from, because at the end of the day he's still my boss. And he's the mafia leader. Well seems like it's his problem not mine.

"Yes I told you that, but you will have to make that choice once you know who you're dealing with. Once you know who we are and who they are. But right now you stay here, understood?" he says, more like demanding.

I frown and open the door, before his large hand shuts it again. My back is against his chest as his hand is still putting pressure on the door, not making me open it.

"I asked you a question, didn't I?" he breathes on my ear, a hot wave of air hitting me. "It was more like a demand." I state, still not turning because he's too close.

"You still have to tell me that you understood." he says against my ear not stepping away "Fine. I understood" and then he takes his hand off the door, muttering something that I couldn't hear.

I leave and I finally breathe fresh air, there was too much tension in that room.

I hear a laugh. It's a boy's laugh. I reach the end of the hallway, I haven't seen this side of the house yet. The laugh is louder with every step that I take, until I'm faced with a white wooden door.

I open it and glance around. It's a room with kid decorations, blue walls and a lot of toys. A bed is on the corner of the room, a little boy jumping on it, stopping when he sees me.

"Hello!" he shouts smiling and I swear he's the prettiest kid I've ever seen. He has dark brown hair and big green eyes, with a beautiful smile, and from the looks he might be 6 or 7.

"Hey, what's your name?" I ask stepping closer to get a better view of him. He sits on the bed and looks at me "I'm Marco, may I ask who are you?" my heart melts at how he asked the question.

"Of course, I'm Violet, nice to meet you Marco" I hold up a hand and he shakes it, smiling. "You're so pretty" he casually says and I already love this kid.

"Thank you, you're handsome" I say back, making him chuckle a little.

"It was nice meeting you, I'm going to my room now, okay?" he nods "Bye Marco!" I say turning to the door "Bye Miss Violet!" he says and I smile before closing the door and leaving the foreign part of the house.

I bump into a body. It's Blake, again. He was heading towards the kid's room.

He didn't say anything and just continued walking before I stopped him "Mr Ferreri?" He turns around clearly impatient to continue what he was doing "Yes, Miss Rodriguez?" I walk closer to him and he looks down at me.

"I just met Marco, whose kid is he?" With that question I see his eyes change. They're now filled with what seem like anger and sadness.

"I'm sorry I didn't want to-" "It's a kid we saved from the streets 2 years ago. I'm now personally taking care of him" Blake says and I nod.

"But what about his parents? Or family?" I question "He doesn't have any. But legally, I have his custody" he says "Does he have a woman that takes care of him when you don't?" I ask and he pauses "I mean, you're obviously very busy, so do you have someone else taking care of him while you can't?" I don't know why I'm so investigated in this. I just hope the kid doesn't miss anything.

"Why are you stressing so much, Rodriguez? Don't worry about Marco, I've been taking care of him since the day I saved him" he's starting to get angry so I just leave the conversation and nod, walking away.

I go to my room, change and lay on the bed. Lunch is in a few, then we all have a meeting to attend and things to discuss. Guess the guard was right when he said that it was going to be a stressful day, and I haven't even spent half of it yet.

the kitchen for those who couldn't imagine it.

Hello!! I love Marco, and if you didn't understand the meaning of the title of the chapter after you finished it, don't worry I'll explain.

So, Marco is 6 years old and Blake said that he saved him from the streets when the kid was only 4, so that's why I consider Marco a little warrior.

If you liked the chapter don't forget to vote <3
