"Why are you in such a dangerous place, Euphemia-sama?!" She whisper yelled.

"Pops allowed me to help out with the miasma problem. The High Priest is too cruel to just leave all of this work to you." I winked.

Obviously, since she is the High Priestess, I cannot hide all of my divine magic from her as it was a blessing bestowed to all divine blessing users to identify fellow divine blessing users.

"*sigh* alas, I could not complain to him about it either. The Holy court agreed to it so I had no choice but to abide by their command."

" Euphemia-sama, that seems hardly fair. If I remember correctly you were the one who made the holy chronicle that to properly purify a demon, it would at least need two priests." Styrmir said where I could only hear.

"Well to be fair, the only exception would be if the priest has a high divinity blessing. Which is close to impossible since the only ones that would meet the requirement should be those who were the Tempests." Siva added.

Me and the High Priestess agreed that both of us would go separately from the Holy Knights, the knights would evacuate the citizens to a safer place while I take the High Priestess to purify the five close nests that have the highest possibility to clone themselves and even grow much larger.

I will not close all the nest portals since if I do so then their job would turn meaningless so I'll handle the relatively challenging ones.

As we approached the next nest, the high priestess cast a light barrier so we couldn't inhale any miasma, though it doesn't really affect me. I just think that the smell is putrid.

"D-Do you know what that one is called, Euphemia-sama?" She scrunched her nose in disgust as she stared at the goopy, dark, murky, slimy substance in the distance.

"What is about to emerge is called a Maideon. A Maideon is a demon that feeds on nightmares, they send out small parts of themselves and spread them out to where they can find a vulnerable target and cast a curtain of fear upon its victim. The nightmares can occur be it morning or night. They take the form of whatever shape of the worst nightmare they've fed off."

Then a hand starts to emerge from the goop.

"Eh nope, get back in there." I stomped on its hand and made it go back inside the nest.

The High Priestess found it incredibly easier to purify the demons with my help. At this point, if ever there would be a tournament, I would not join them or that'd be unfair to the students that would participate.

" *sigh* Finally, that was the last one." The High Priestess sighed in relief as we finished closing the fifth nest portal and kneeled on the floor, exhausted.

I smiled and dusted off my clothes, the sun was already about to rise again.

It was a lengthy process since we had to close off more than we expected. The five was our initial plan then suddenly there were 10 more that expanded where there were citizens near it. the knights she came with did not help with the situation as they kept evacuating them to the wrong areas.

Whoever their captain is, they need to retire.

"Let us get going, High Priestess-" I stopped talking when I felt it.

I immediately cast a barrier around the high priestess and she stared at me confused,

"Come out." I disparaged.

The soft crunches of the leaves and out came a familiar figure I have seen too many times before. Bright red hair that reaches his thigh, Dark red eyes that contrast his bright hair, the sophisticated poise, his deep voice..I remember every bit of it.

" Long time no see, My child. How have you been? " He smiled at me.

" I've been fine not until the day you tried to kill me."

" Now now, no need to be too fiesty." He laughed.

" Leave, Astorazel. "

"My child, you have closed the portals I have ever so worked hard for. Of course, I would need to scold you for it."

"You have lost the right to call me your child since the day you betrayed the Empyrean."

"Aww, don't say that. To me, you will always be my child...My daughter."

-Third Person's POV-

At Crestbreeze Academy, an emergency meeting between the board was called in by the Headmaster.

"Headmaster Gerwitz, what is this you are talking about?" Lady Freya, one of the board chairman of the Academy raised

"It is I have said, the Emperor signed the merge of Whytemoon and Crestbreeze as well as the recontinuation of the events that were postponed." Gerwitz sighed.

"Isn't this too much of a trouble for our students? Not to mention that the postponed events were the upcoming tournaments and the Le Concours du Grand Prisme." Count Feidrich, another board chairman said.

"Crestbreeze will be attending those separately as an Academy as to how we discussed before. We will not be including the Whytemoon students in the decided line-up."

"My..what has happened to the noble council to propose this to our Academy? They usually never involve us in these shenanigans." Marchioness Crestbreeze, Emeline worried.

"I know how this would affect our students, what's more, is we would have to send half of the Crestbreeze's population there. Including those who would need to assist them would be the Student Council. Sir Albercht is needed to stay behind but unfortunately, we then would need to send Euphemia as she is the Vice President." Gerwitz disparaged. He was not in favor of this merging but both sides have no choice as it were the Emperor's orders.

Yearly, two Academies are to merge and co-exist with one another. Crestbreeze was never subjected to this but for the first time in years..it happened.

The Board did not agree to send Euphemia to Whytemoon as not only is she a huge asset to Crestbreeze, they did not want her to go back to the Academy she used to go to, in fear that she might remember horrible memories.

What they do not know is that those memories are highly irrelevant to Euphemia and she does not hold them to heart.

"There is a chance that Lady Euphemia would not agree to pull through with her being sent to Whytemoon, if so I would support her with her decision." Lady Freya spoke up.

"We would need to discuss this as soon as possible with the student council, Sir Gerwitz do you know where Lady Euphemia is at present?"

"Fortunately I do..Alright, we shall await her arrival."

" Why even protect this feeble thing? You're wasting your energy. "Astorazel chastised as he glared at the High Priestess as she was being protected by Euphemia.

" Leave her out, Astorazel." She bit. While launching at him with her sword, they clashed with each other, not one backing down.

" Don't be mad at me, My child. I was just converting you. I wasn't trying to kill you..well I was but that was the only way I could make you come over to my side~ I just want you to understand me. " He smiled at her and she stared back, disgusted.

" Understand?? Understand what?! That you are trying to wipe off the living civilization that we all worked hard for??? what she work hard for?? what they worked hard for and fought hard for?! "

" Don't bring them to the conversation my darling, you know how much that irritates me. "

" It's because you know I'm right! You didn't need to be like this! "

" You don't get to tell me what I should or should not be doing. "

" I do! I care for you, do you not get that?! I treated you like a father! We were a family! Yet you betrayed us! "

" They betrayed me first, Euphemia. "

" No one wanted them to die! " She yelled with angry tears staining her eyes.

" Enough, I don't have time for this. " He disregarded her comment.

" You're right. " Then she lodged the sword through his chest. He started disappearing with an emotionless facial expression on his face.

"Next time, don't just send me a clone and come to me with your new form. "
