"Let's get started," says X, "you guys know what to do, right?"

"I'm aware," says Chase as he opens the door to the 4th stage.

As Chase opens the door, the players can see what the inside looks like. Inside was a normal room, it seemed larger than most rooms but nothing was out of place or unusual.

"I'm confused, what type of game are we supposed to play in here?" says Ana.

"I agree, this looks like a room in my house, I doubt we could do anything in here," says Blake.

"Dude, you are 100% rich then, look at the size of that room!" says Chase.

"Wow, you guys really are dumb," says X, "try and think. My ideas for games aren't always fighting or shooting, sometimes they can be casual games as well."

"Casual?" says Lexi.

"That's correct. This is a game that all of you have played at least once, if you haven't, that's quite sad," says X.

"What kind of game is sad if you've never played it?" says Rachel.

"I've got it, I think I know what game he's talking about!" says Blake.

"Those words coming from you don't make me trust it very much," says Joseph.

"No, I'm serious!" says Blake, "the game that X is talking about has been around since forever, which is why he's saying it's sad if we've never played it."

"What's the game?" says Carly.

"It's Hide and Seek," says Blake.

"That's correct! This is surprising, I think this is the first time Blake has guessed something correctly!" says X.

"At least give me some credit dude, I'm not that dumb," says Blake.

"Yeah, yeah, you get your credit. Moving on, Hide and Seek is what we will be playing. I would pay attention even more now to what I'm saying, the stakes are about to get much more extreme," says X.

"What do you mean?" says Rachel.

"What I mean is that starting now, every single stage can have you lose all of your lives. These are the final stages, I had to increase the risk somehow," says X.

A look of fear falls upon the players.

"All of you know how to play Hide and Seek, correct?" says X.

"Of course, everyone has played it," says Joseph.

"Then you know all of the rules associated with playing Hide and Seek. But, now, let me tell you my own rules on the matter of the game," says X.

"And those rules are?" says Ana.

"Before the game starts, you get 2 minutes. You can use this time to look around the map, get familiar with it and find a hiding spot. You can hide in the same spot as someone else but only 3 people to a spot, personally I would recommend finding your own spot, that way if you ever get found, it's less of a penalty," says X.

"Is this gonna be like tag?" says Rachel.

"No, if I made one of you find everyone else, who knows how many of you will die?" X goes silent for a moment before speaking again as if his own words hurt him, "ahem, that wouldn't be very fun for me, now would it?"

"How long is this round gonna last?" says Lexi.

"10 minutes, it's not too long but it's not too short. Although, for you guys, it might feel like an eternity," says X.

"Very funny of you, X. But, if none of us are going to find each other, who is?" says Carly.

"Do you guys remember the robotic voice?" says X.

"Yes..." says Ana.

"Well, I made a body for it. It's now a fully functioning robot, not just some voice," says X.

"What?? You're saying you made a fully functioning piece of technology, how long did that take?" says Joseph.

"It took about an hour, it was quite easy!" says X.

"Isn't a robot much smarter than humans though? It's probably gonna find us in a matter of a minute!" says Blake.

"Now, what did I say before? I said that I make things fair. I intentionally used the correct pieces of software to make it as smart as humans. It's not some genius if that's what you're thinking," says X.

A look of bewilderment falls onto Joseph's face.

"Joseph? Are you ok?" says Chase.

"Joseph, you look confused, did you not understand my instructions?" says X.

"X... just how smart are you?" says Joseph.

"Oh, I'm flattered! But, what are you talking about?" says X.

"You built a robot in an hour and you knew which exact parts to use to make it as smart as us. Not to mention, your analysis skills are beyond superior, just who exactly are you?" says Joseph.

"Aww, Joseph, I'm flattered!" X's tone drops, "but, you really shouldn't stick your nose where it's not needed. Got it?"

Joseph tenses up, "I got it."

"Anyways, continuing on! Enough with the dilly-dally, it's time for the 4th round to start. Now then, walk through the door! Once everyone is in, I will start the 2 minute timer," says X.

Everyone follows into the room and the timer begins.

"Ana, come with me," says Carly reaching out for Ana's hand.

Ana takes her hand but she's confused, "Where are we going?"

"We're gonna hide in the same spot, obviously."

"But wouldn't that be a higher risk for us?"

"It won't be a risk at all, the robot won't find us, I promise."

"Ok. I believe you."

"Good! Let's go, I found a pretty good spot."

Carly leads her and Ana to a hiding spot. You can barley see it unless you really focus on it.

"Woah, how did you find this place?" says Ana as she goes into the hiding spot.

"I saw it from the entrance, I was trying to find you before someone else took this spot," says Carly as she climbs into the spot.

"I assume we still have a minute left before the game starts," says Ana.

"Yeah, most likely."

After the 1 minute mark, 4 people have found hiding spots. Joseph, Ana, Carly, and Rachel.

"1 minute left, players!" says X.

Once Lexi hears the announcement, she runs to the closest hiding spot she sees. Despite it being chosen at random, it was actually a very secure space.

"Blake, I think we need to find a spot where both of us can stay, there's not enough time for us to find separate ones," says Chase.

"I think you're right, let's go this way, I think I saw something this way," says Blake.

As they start walking, the 10 second countdown begins.

"10 seconds," says X.

As soon as Blake and Chase hear the countdown, they pick up speed.

"9 seconds."

As Blake takes another turn, Chase starts to lose speed.

"8 seconds."

"Chase, come on! I'm over here!" says Blake.

"7 seconds."

"I'm coming!" says Chase as he tries picking up speed.

"6 seconds."

"5 seconds."

"4 seconds."

After a few seconds, Blake finds the hiding spot and slides into it, while Chase is just a few steps behind.

"3 seconds."

"You got this, Chase! Come on!"

"2 seconds"

As Chase gets closer, Blake puts out his arm to grab him.

"1 second."

"Releasing the robot."

As the final second is said, Chase rolls under the hiding spot, just barley escaping death.

"Thank god!" says Chase as he realizes what he has just said, he immediately puts his hands over his mouth as Blake silently shushes him.

Blakes looks out of the hiding spot, but doesn't expose himself.

Blake lowers his voice to a whisper, "I see the robot."

"Where is it?" Chase whispers back.

"It's walking toward Joseph's hiding spot. I think it'll be fine though," says Blake.

"You should stop looking, let's just stay back here, we can't risk anything, especially after what I did," says Chase.

"Yeah, you're right, let's just wait for the 10 minutes."

After 3 minutes, the robot has not been able to find anyone. The room is almost completely silent, with only the robot's whirring making sound. But, when everyone seemed to be confident in winning, everyone hears the sound of something being dropped.

The robot moves toward the sound leaving whoever dropped it to start panicking.

"Dang it! Are you kidding me?" says Lexi as she whisper yells.

She looks out of her hiding spot, the robot is getting closer and closer. She wants to find another hiding spot but there's no other way to distract it.

Joseph looks out his hiding spot, "shit!" He pulls out a pen and throws it in a direction that nobody has hid in, or, at least he hopes no one is hiding in there.

The pen drops and the robot goes after it. As the robot turns in the opposite direction, Lexi takes off in case the robot wants to come back to examine what the noise was.

She runs for a few seconds. She finds a hiding spot and goes to it. It's less secure than the spot she had before, but it'll work.

The focus goes from Lexi running to where the pen has landed.

"Shit! Are you kidding me?" says Ana. The pen has landed right next to Ana and Carly's hiding spot.

"5 minutes left, my players! Halfway done!" says X.

"Do you think I can throw it somewhere else without it seeing me?" says Carly in a whisper.

"No, you'll be seen," says Ana.

"What should we do?!" says Carly with fear in her voice.

"We'll think of something."

Blake sees the robot going toward Carly and Ana and decides to throw something else. He can't just stand there and do nothing.

"Give me something to throw!" says Blake.

As Chase hands him a keychain, he seems puzzled, "Why? Is there someone hiding there?"

"Yes, Ana and Carly," says Blake as he gets ready to throw where he's certain there isn't someone hiding. He knows everyone's hiding spots, except for Lexi's since she changed spots.

He throws the keychain, and it surprisingly makes a loud noise.

The robot turns. The second it does, Ana and Carly make a break for it.

"This way!" says Ana.

They run for a solid minute until they can find another hiding spot fit for 2 people.

"Over here!" says Ana.

"Got it!" says Carly.

"I think we should be good here until the end of the game," says Ana.

"Yeah, I agree, unless someone throws something again," says Carly smiling at her own joke.

"3 minutes left! You guys are so close!" says X.

In the last 3 minutes, the robot picks up it's speed as if it's frantically trying to find the players. At this point it's searching every crevice but none of the crevices had any players hiding in them. The robot keeps doing this until the final minutes are over.

"Ok, my players, you win! You all escape unscathed for this round!" says X, "please find the exit, and don't worry about the robot, once the 10 minutes are up, it won't hurt you."

Once everyone was out of the room, X weirdly congratulates them.

"Amazing job, my players! I'm so proud!" says X.

"Woah, X complimenting us? This is a weird change of pace," says Chase.

"Tell me about it, wow," says Rachel.

"Thanks, X!" says Carly.

"No problem! You guys were amazing out there!" says X. He wants to continue congratulating them but all of a sudden, his mood shifts.

Someone else starts speaking on the intercom, and it's not X. As they start speaking, X muffles his mic so the new voice can't get through but the players are still able to hear the voice.

"What the hell are you doing?! You aren't supposed to congratulate them, idiot! You are only supposed to tell them what to do!" says the new voice.

"Yes, sir. I'm sorry, sir. I don't know what came over me, I'll stop," says X.

"You better stop. You've already screwed up multiple times, don't let it happen again, I refuse to keep coming down here," says the new voice.

"What the hell..." says Rachel.

"What just happened?" says Lexi.

X's voice comes back onto the intercom as if nothing happened, "I don't know what came over me. Anyways, you guys aren't making this very fun for me, if you survive every single round, its gonna get boring, don't you think?"

"X, what on earth was that?" says Joseph.

"What are you talking about?" says X.

"There was a new voice, I know damn well it wasn't you, so don't try and say that it was," says Joseph.

"I agree, tell us who that was!" says Blake.

"Joseph, I've told you once and I'll tell you again, you really shouldn't stick your nose where it's not needed. There was no new voice, despite what you think you heard," X says sternly, "your 10 minute break before stage 5 starts now, you all are free to do whatever you need before the new stage starts."

Everyone stands in silence, they want to say something but they don't know what should be said. They're too in shock to say anything.

"What. The. Hell," says Ana.
