Blake's POV:

"*Holy shit, holy shit. I need to run, do not make contact with anybody.*"

I run as fast as my legs can take me, I'm not aware of anybody or anything, only the floor that I'm running on. When I think that I've ran far enough, I stop running and look for a space to hide in. I go into a bedroom and shut the door. I'm panting from all the running I did in such a short amount of time, I haven't done that in a while. I try to calm down and regain my energy, and I realize my role picker has finished spinning. I take a deep breath and hope for the best.

"*Please not murderer, anything but that. Please, I couldn't live with the guilt of killing someone.*"

I slowly look up above me and I see it. In big bold words, it reads Innocent. I release a huge sigh that I didn't even know I was building up. "*Thank god. I need to find more Innocent people. Besides, I can't hide here forever.*" I open the bedroom door and go on the search for more people that are Innocent.

Joseph's POV:

"*From every direction, a player is running. Everyone is trying to get away from each other because of their fears. I feel stuck in place, I'm not sure if I can move. It feels ironic, I told Lexi to get up and move yet I'm in the same position as she was. My role picker has finished spinning. There's no point in looking up slowly, I'll just get this over with.*" Above my head, it says Sheriff.

I let out a sigh, I'm not sure whether I should be disappointed or not. "*At least it's not murderer, that's all that matters,*" I think to myself as I force myself to start moving and go walking around the map.

Rachel's POV:

I run immediately towards the first hiding spot I see. "*I hate this. I can't get murderer, absolutely not, if anything happens do not turn into that side of yourself,*" I take a few deep breaths and slowly look up at my role picker.

With an anxious feeling taking over her whole body, she slowly looks up and the role. "*No. No. No. You have got to be kidding me. You cannot be serious.*" Murderer. I got the dreaded role of Murderer. I feel like I'm gonna throw up. That doesn't matter, I just have to do this, "*Whatever you do, don't get too competitive with this game, I can't have a repeat of last time,*" I leave my hiding spot to search for someone.

Chase's POV:

I start running away. I notice my role picker and look up. It's Innocent. "*Thank god, I'm glad it's not murderer, that would completely go against everything I've worked for. I need to go find the others, but I have to be cautious about how I approach everyone. I can't be getting killed when the game just started.*" I get up from his hiding spot in search of other Innocents.

Ana's POV:

"*Shit, shit, SHIT! Just run, don't look behind you or around. Focus on what's in front of you and you'll be fine. You can't die, not now and not ever. Find a hiding spot immediately and stay there until the round is over. It shouldn't be for too long.*"

I run around the map, looking for the best hiding spot I can see to ensure that I'll win. It takes around 3 minutes but I find one to rest in and settle down while regaining my composure.

"*I would assume my role picker has finished. There's no point in looking up slowly, not like the role will change. Just suck it up.*" I look up at my role. It's Innocent. "Thank the heavens, I would have been screwed if I was Murderer or even Sheriff. Well then, I'd assume there are about 7 or 8 minutes left, I'll just wait it out.*"

Carly's POV:

"*I'm so damn confused... are we actually doing this? I'm scared. Everyone else is running, I probably should too.*"I sprint down the halls of the map, not slowing down for anything. As a teenager, I used to be in track, but I never thought I would have to use what I learned like this. I find an empty guest bedroom, I run into it immediately. I'm not sure whether to hide in there the whole round or to go find someone, But I pass it off as a problem for my future self. "*I need to see what role I got, maybe if I look up faster, I'll get over it sooner.*" I follow my own advice and look up fast, "*It's Innocent... phew. That's so lucky. I wonder what everyone else got? Meh, doesn't matter, I'll be forgetting after the round ends anyways. I think I'll go see who else got innocent, I need to get on people's good sides.*"

Lexi's POV:

"I'm so scared. I wish we could all get along. But, I'm not dumb. I can tell this is life or death, I need to start running.*"

I run as far as my legs can take me. I go into the bathroom and go into one of the cabinets. "*I hope I can be safe here. I just want to go home.*" I begin to cry but I stop as soon as I start, I'm scared someone might hear me. "*Wait! I think I got my role. I don't wanna look at it, I'm scared. What if..? You can do it, just get it over with,*" I look above my head and sees the word, Innocent. "*Thank god!*"

-END OF POVS-

Blake looks around the map, as well as Chase. They run into each other.

Chase jumps up as he runs into Blake, he starts screaming, "Woah, man! You scared me!"

Blake returns the same energy, "I could say the same to you! You here to kill me or something?!"

"No no, not at all! I got the innocent role! I came out of my hiding spot to see if anyone needed help!"

"Oh... well, that does sound like you, I guess. Oh, and I got the Innocent role too so you don't have to worry."

"Thank god! I suppose we just walk around together then and wait until the round ends?"

"Yeah, that sounds good, lets's go."

Blake and Chase walk around the map just getting to know each other, which nobody has been able to really do. It's a bit refreshing for them.

"Damn it! They found each other before I could. I can't go for them now!" says Rachel. Rachel does a double take at what she has just said and begins to get mad at herself, "Ugh! What did I just say? You can't do things like this, Rachel, it never works well, just look for someone that's alone." Rachel walks around the map trying to avoid Blake and Chase so they don't try and talk to her. That's when she sees her walking around the map, alone. Rachel lets out a sigh, "It'll work," Rachel whispers to herself.

"Hi, Rachel! I was looking for someone so I wouldn't be alone, I'm glad I found you!" shouts Carly.

"Hello, Carly! I'm glad I found you too, I was getting scared!" says Rachel as she walks toward Carley.

"Yeah, I get that. So you're Innocent too?"

"Definitely... yep!" Rachel says as she gets even closer to Carly.

"Um... Rachel, you're getting a little too close."

"Oh, I know..." Rachel says as she pulls out a knife.

"No way! Get away from-"

Rachel stabs her mid-sentence. Blood drips down the knife and splatters over Rachel's clothes. The knife sound is heard throughout the map and a few players come running toward the sound. Rachel runs away and hides behind a corner of a wall.

Rachel looks at the blood on her knife and clothes with a look of remorse, "I'm sorry, Carly."

"W-what is that?" says Lexi.

"Lexi! Don't look!" says Joseph covering her eyes.

"Who the hell did this?!" says Ana.

"Great first game my players! But the round is over. Congratulations! You survived the first round! Let's hope you survive the other 14," says X over the intercom, "ok, now that the round is over, it's time for a memory wipe! Don't worry, it won't hurt a bit! It'll just take a second and I'll teleport you back to the lobby!"

"Memory Wipe Starting," says a robotic voice. "Memory Wipe Completed, now teleporting back to lobby."

"Now then players! After every round, I tell each player how many lives they have left! I will be saying it over the intercom so make sure you pay attention for your name!" announces X. There is visible tension between everyone in the lobby waiting for X to start saying the names.

"Ahem! Now then... Blake- 10 lives Joseph- 10 lives Rachel- 10 lives Chase- 10 lives Ana- 10 lives Carly- ... 9 lives. Do better next time. And finally... Lexi! 10 lives kid, good job!"

"These are the results, my players! Do what you will with them, the rest of the day is free, so enjoy yourselves! I'll be going," X steps off the intercom and doesn't say anything for the rest of the day.

Everyone is in shock that Carley lost a life. Everyone stays in place not moving a muscle and slowly turns their view towards Carly. Carly looks like she has seen a ghost, she's more pale than usual, and she drops to the floor.

Carly starts yelling at herself, "What?? What the hell happened? I could've sworn I said to myself to be careful! Shit!"

Ana goes over to her.

Ana rubs her shoulder to comfort her as she starts speaking, "It's ok Carly, but you need to be careful. I doubt you remember anything but did you talk with anyone? Did you ever leave your hiding spot?"

"I-I don't know" Carly starts to sob uncontrollably while Ana tries to comfort her.

"Yeah, I thought so. It's ok, just let it all out."

Everyone crowds around Carly, comforting her. It's like a group hug. No one says anything and the only noise that can be heard is Carly's sobs.
