"I found something.", He said with a sad smile. I just stared at him and he sighed.
"They made a contract with a family. About you and their son, but it doesn't say the first name, theres a space.", He said, I sighed, knowing this was about the triplets and that this was the real reason they wanted me home. I mean after all, it was for their business, well, their gang.
"They can't let you get this emancupation Tills. They can't risk it. I also found something else. They payed out the judge and they accepted, most likely out of fear. You have no chance Tills and you never did, they are going to sell you off as soon as they can.", He said quickly, as I just stared at him proccessing everything.
"Are you okay?", He asked and I deadpanned him which made him smirk nervously as I continued to pack. I was staring at his retreating body when I called out to him, making him freeze and turn around to me.
"Thank you. I would of never of known what really happened to her", I said with a small smile. He just nodded and grinned at me, before coming forwards once more. I strained my neck to him to show him I was becoming impatient.
"One thing else", He said, this time with a much bigger smile. I just nodded and sighed, as he came over and put his laptop on the bed. He motioned towards it as I reluctantly walked over to it, expecting to see a dead body of a twin sister that I didn't know I had, but in contrast I gasped when I saw what it was.
It was a house. More than that, a mansion. It had ivy and plants surrounding it, but it didn't look messy, it just looked natural like it was done on purpose. It had a huge cyan coloured front door. It looked huge, with four windows either side and one in the centre above the door. It had a huge tree in the corner towering over it. It looked so....homey.
"Oh my god! Why are you showing me this?", I said, not turning away from the screen for even a second. It felt so oddly homey, as if it already had some kind of warmth to it.
"Your mother left it to you. She bought it when she was a teenager, she never told her grandfather and nor your family. She did it for you if you ever needed a way out I guess. Kind like an arranged marriage you don't want", He said with a smile. He then gave me a piece of paper.
"Just printed it, it has all the information on it, it was a private will so all you have to do is go to a firm or something and claim it. Your family will have no idea. It's in the country side in Scotland", He said, which made my eyes pop out in surprise.
"SCOTLAND?", I whisper-screamed at him. He just nodded with a smile.
"Yep, do you have a passport?", He asked. I just shook my head, I had left it with the stuff in the bank halfway across the country. It was like a 13 hour drive to get there. UGHHH! Why do bad things happen right after good things.
"It's in a safety deposit box. Hours away. Can't I just get a new one?", I asked him with desperation. He squirmed under my glare but he finally cracked.
"Well, you can I guess, but you'll need your birth certificate and some other stuff.", He said. I slumped down onto the bed in fustration.
"DAMN IT! The thing I need is in another goddamn state, I don't get why life hates me so much", I cried into the bed with anger whilst he stood there awkwardly. I looked up to him.
"Um, sorry.", I said, getting up and staring at the laptop once more.
"Has anyone lived there in a while?", I asked him. He just nodded at me and I looked at him suspicously.
"Your aunt Cecilia", He said which made my mouth drop. The last time I even spoke to her is when I ran out on father, I haven't heard from her since. Apparently when mum passed she abandoned her family, that she was too angry, that's what she told me. But she didn't blame me for it at all, in which I finally found out why.
She knew it wasn't my fault. It was all Samuel Redhearts. I became angry at even the mention of the mans name.
"She has been taking care of it for you", He said to me as I sat there thinking.
"Why didn't she just tell me to come there when I left dads", I asked him. He just shrugged and sat there thinking for a second.
"Maybe she wanted you to find out the truth first, to figure it all out before you came, as you would ask questions about it and I dunno, maybe she just wanted you to find out on your own", He said with a small smile. I just nodded at him and just sat staring at the piece of paper in my hand.
It was truly amazing to be honest, the most amazing house in the entire world. It was in the middle of nowhere, but there was a town three miles away from eachother. She had even included how amazing the schools were. Oh.
This is where she wants me to raise my kids. If I have any of course.
It was perfect to raise a family, and to even raise myself in this type of family home. I was smiling at the paper when another knock happened on the door and I looked up to see Mike staring at me, I quickly hid the paper in my suitcase and wrapped in up, everything I had ever owned inside.
I mean there was still a few stuff at Stones and stuff, but I can always get that later. Pearl had now woken up, plopping about happily and sniffing around her new surroundings. When she noticed me, she sprinted into my arms as I laughed and put her in my pocket. It was big enough for her anyway and she fell right back to sleep.
I hauled the suitcase up and started to leave when he blocked the door and put his head in my hair, breathing it in as I smelled his amazing colonge, knowing that this was the last time I would ever see him.
"I am so sorry Matilda, you were right, I'm bad for you and always will be, but I will always be here if you ever need me", He whispered into my hair. I just nodded and he moved out of the way for me to leave. I managed to lug the suitcase down the stairs and to the front door. I turned before I left to face him.
"I forgive you. But please forget me, live a life with a woman you truly love no matter how hard it is, have your children, and please don't raise them to be just as brooding. A mini Michael sounds like alot of hardwork.", I said to him, laughing a little as he chuckled with me. He nodded at me, letting a tear fall down, making all the anger leave me for a moment and I felt like it hurt me to see him in so much pain.
But then I remember his father and the anger returns.
"Good bye my devil", I said to him with a cheeky grin, remembering the time we spray painted that train, both of our symbols.
"Till we meet again my Angel", He said with a small smile as I just stared at him, taking in all his features, before I finally had the courage to open the door and drag myself away. I started to walk into town, knowing there was probably a guest house or hotel, and I had my phone, which got fixed somehow.
Huh. How did that happen, I didn't even think twice about it yesterday. It was odd, walking away felt so wrong, but I knew that if we met in the future it would be because I needed his help and he knew that.
So this was my life? Running away from everything whenever I get scared? No. I am stronger than that, physically anyway, mentally I was a nutcase. I mean, being neglected all my life has kind of taken a toll, and the fact that I haven't even thought about my mother death and how she died will play with me later and I knew it.
I was walking slowly down the road when a black SUV pulled up to me with kids music blazing through the window. I didn't even have to look up to see that it was William. I turned to him and noticed two kids in the car. A boy and a girl. Oh these must be Williams kids.
The girl was adorable sat in her chair swinging her legs just randomly singing a song I didn't even regonise, just like in the photo with her blonde hair and giant eyes, staring at the world with pure wonder. The boy was older and was sat in the back with her, with a tablet in his hands playing angry birds I think.
"Why hello there Tilly, how may I be of service", He asked me as I was staring at him with my head to the side alittle.
"Um, where are you heading too?", I asked him. He looked into the front mirror to check on his kids, I noticed he did this quite alot, like he was scared they were going to disappear.
"The city, Jodie wants Mcdonalds but Alex wants KFC, have you eaten yet?", He asked me, going into dad mode. I shook my head at him as I just stood there squirming.
"Get in Tills, you know I can't just leave you out here, and Jodie wants to get to know you anyway", He said with a smile, looking back at her as she practically sqealed in excitement.
"Yes please!", She said in the most adorable voice. It didn't help that she had a full princess dress on, I think it was Aurora. I smiled at her without meaning too, she was just too cute.
"Okay fine, but does that mean I get a vote on where we get to eat?", I asked, opening the boot and lifting my suitcase in. William offered but I obviously refused, why? Because I wanted to feel independant. Turns out its alot harder than I thought, or heavier for that matter.
I managed to put the suitcase in the back and jump into the front with them. William smiled at me and set off towards the city. Me and Jodie made small talk as we drove. She reached out for my hair and tugged onto it.
"So pretty! Like Merida!", She said in an adorable voice. I just smiled at her and then looked at William who seemed to quite enjoy us speaking.
"And you look just like a sleeping princess I know about, do you know her?", I asked her, in which she practically jumped up from her seat. I laughed and turned to Alex.
"Hey little man, whats that game your playing?", I asked in a calm and gentle voice which managed to catch his attention.
"You've never heard of it?", He asked surprised. I mean, I had but he didn't have to know that. I just shook my head as both of them gasped at me in surprise. I just laughed and they smiled at me. William was just singing along to the radio.
So that was the rest of the car journey, talking about video games and princesses. People might of found it boring but it was far from that, it made me wish that I had a little sister or brother in which I could play with or teach them things. We got food at KFC in the end, which made Jodie let a few tears at, because she wanted a toy from the happy meal but she puckered up when she saw the snackbox and ate happily.
I just got one of those box meals, with chicken balls, wings and chips. We all ate in the parking lot, laughing and singing to music. It made me wish that this was my real family, messing with my little siblings, and having fun, not worrying about if I've pissed them off, or if sneezing will make all their attention go onto me and their laughter stopping.
He dropped me off at Lisa's and I thanked him.
"Thanks William, your truly a god send", I said with a smile. He just dramatically whipped his hair back and gave me a smirk, which made Jodie sqeal with laughter.
"Your an amazing dad too.", I said with a smile, which made him grin at me.
"Thanks for the food! And for the company", I said to him, getting my luggage from the back.
"Always darling, whenever you need, Me and the KFC will be waiting!", He said, bowing to me, making me smile. I gave him a wave as he drove off, "he's got the whole world in his hand" balzing through the streets. I just laughed at the stupidity.
Pearl suddenly moved in my pocket as I had completely forgotten about her tiny body sleeping there. She wasn't that bothered though as she popped her tiny head out, purring as she did.
I gave her a few strokeds, then turned to Lisa's and knocked onto the door. It wasn't that late and I knew that she was in with all the lights. I walked into the firm with my suitcase and Monty jumped up in surprise.
"Hey darling", He said with a smile, and eating a KITKAT.
"Hey, is Lisa here?"
