"I DO!"

We all turned to see a very familar woman standing there with a few people beside her, a guy with a camera and a laptop. Oh my!

"CECILIA!", I jumped in joy when I saw her, she was so amazing to me as a child and was my only friends. She smiled when saw me and glared at her family. She walked down to me and gave me a huge hug and introduced herself to Lisa.

"And who might you be", The judge asked.

"Her aunty and I have proof of everything", She said with a smile directed at my family who were sat in confusion. I just stared at her in surprise. Proof?

"Well, then I call Cecilia Rushwood to the stand", Lisa called.

"Cecilia Gilmore", She corrected. My family gasped.

"You got married without my permission!", My grandpa asked enraged whilst Grandma has a slight smile on her face.

"Hey mum", She said to grandma gently with a big smile. Grandma has tears in her eyes and grinned back at her as the rest of them sat in shock.

"ENOUGH!", The Judge bellowed as we all quietened down. We all sat in our seats as Cecilia sat in the stand, taking the laptop and camera of the man next to her, and connecting it to the T.v in the corner.

"So, can you please provide us with the proof?", Lisa asked as Stones lawyers scoffed. Cecilia nodded and turned the camera on as the whole room gasped.

Holy shit!

They had been following me this whole time! There was a photo of me practically running into the car, those times where my brothers pulled on me or dragged me somewhere, the plane where I was desperate to get out Stone's arms and struggled and how he dropped me onto my head. There was even one when he backhanded me onto the sidewalk.

"I had my men follow Matilda since I left her a few years ago to sort some business out, to make sure she was safe and had everything she needed, they documented everything but I told them specifically not toe get involved. Please refrain your eyes if you don't like blood", She said. clicking once more.

It made me put my head down in shame. It was a photo of my dad carving his knife into my arm, with me on the floor, desperate to get away. There was an audio with it. Cecilia pressed play and all what could be heard was my screaming. It made my grandma and some of the others in the family cover their ears. Grandpa looked shocked whereas my father looked anaywhere but someones eyes.

"What the actual FUCK DAD!", Stone screamed at my father. I just sat their with a straight face.

"ME! It was you too! Look she is bleeding on the sidewalk there because of your ANGER!", MY father yelled back. I just sat there watching them yell at eachother. I could feel my chest tightening and it was getting harder and harder to breath. My vision was going inverted every now and again and I started to pull my legs into my chest trying to have a sense of security.

I felt someone pulling their hands around me, cuddling me so I was safe. I regonised that scent anywhere. It took me a few minutes to be able to breath again before I went back to normal. I looked up to Mike with a look of gratitude and he smiled back at me.

"Thank you Mikey", I whispered to him and he smiled. Whether his father killed my mother didn't matter in that tiny moment, as we both put it aside just so I would feel alright. He just nodded with a small smile and went back to sitting with his friends.

"What was that?", The judge asked. I just put my head down in shame.

"It was a panic attack", Stone said, in confusion as my family were also staring at me as I stared down at my feet.

"When did they started?", The judge asked, making me look up to him.

"When I was little, all the yelling would freak me out", I said slowly and hesitantly, telling everyone one of my best kept secrets. He nodded and stared at my brothers.

"Did you know about this?", He asked as Stone and the others just shrugged and shook their heads.

"I also have some evidence I would like to put into court that the Rushwoods are unstable", A voice said from the back. Monty?

"I have a video tape of them assaulting me in my own diner and threatening me", Monty said, passing the judge the tape.

"Okay, please leave and I'll call you back in a few minutes to decide my verdict", He said and we all nodded. We got up all at once and left the room.

I stood their waiting for Cecilia as my family glared at me when they walked by in which I rolled my eyes at. Jesus how much glaring do they have to do? I smiled when Cecilia came out and jumped into her arms.

She laughed and held me tighter, spinning me around. From the corner of my eye I could see the rest of my family staring at her with jealousy. I just smiled to Cecilia. Monty came out and also gave me a hug.

"How are you kiddo?", He asked with a smile.

"Never better!", I replied back with a smile to him and he gave me a grin. He then gave me a wave and walked back out of the court house. Wait... did he fly all the way just to help me? Damn, I was so wrong when I thought I was all alone.

I turned to Lia with a huge smile of my own.

"Lets go and talk somewhere private", She said with a smile. I just nodded and followed her lead. Mike then walked out which caused my Grandpa to glare at him, but he just glared back, so did his friends. I rolled my eyes and went with Lia.

We went into an empty conference room and we sat down opposite eachother, Lisa was with the other I think.

"How are you sweetie? You look just like your mother, even better in fact, so beautiful and selfless and so strong", She said with tears in her eyes.

"And you got married huh?", I asked her, with laughter and tears in both of our eyes. She nodded with a huge smile.

"Yeah, she's pretty amazing", She said with a smile. I looked at her a second before nodding with a huge grin.

"You don't mind do you? She's honestly so amazing and-", She went to ramble but I cut her off.

"I really couldn't care less what gender she is, as long as she makes you happy!", I said with a grin and she sighed out in relief.

"Thank god, my dad would never allow it, he believes women should be there for kids and to look pretty", She said rolling her eyes and I held her hands.

"Sexist asshole", I said, making her laugh with me.

"Anyway, Lola does want kids and so do I, so we decided to foster children instead!", She said with a huge smile, which made me give her a kiss on her cheek.

"I would rather foster children, then do so much just to bring another into this world", She said with a tear falling, but from happiness this time.

"I understand, even if grandpa doesn't suppose you, I always will!", I said with a smile. She nodded and kissed me on the forehead. Lisa then knocked on the door and smiled at us.

"He has made his decision", She said with a smile. Then realisation hit me.

"Didn't they pay the judge off?", I asked Lisa. She just nodded but then laughed.

"I contacted the court house before hand and told them what happened, the judge was suspended and replaced, and no one told your family. We have a fair chance Tills and it's a high chance that it might of tipped to your side, without a doubt infact, thanks to your aunt!", She said, practically jumping up and down.

"Oh, so what exactly was their plan?", I asked Lisa.

"They were going to make it seem like you were a teenage girl acting up so you didn't have to live with rules of your brothers, and make you seem like you couldn't take care of yourself." She said shrugging and rolling her eyes. I rolled my eyes too and headed back into the lobby area.

"Hey hunny!", I heard Granny yell from behind me, and I raced into her arms, hugging her so tightly I'm pretty sure she couldn't breath but she was doing the same to me so I guess it was alright.

"Okay, so this is my daughter and her husband, Laura and Greg, and these are my sons, Conal, Daniel and Stewart", She said, pointing to the people as she spoke. I nodded and gave them a smile.

"Thank you so much for coming", I said with a grin on my face. They laughed and Laura put her hand on my cheek and squeezed it a little.

"You are the most adorable thing, and of course we would come, Granny sees you like her own child and only talked about you on Christmas day! It was like she couldn't shut up about it!", She said laughing. I laughed with her but inside I was truly touched that she cared so much.

I smiled at them all and headed back into the court room where everyone else was sat. We all waited for judges verdict in silence, with anticipation running through everyone.

"I have made the decision of the courts to allow the Emancipation of Matilda Rushwood from Stone Rushwood, please sign here", He said to me with a now replaced emotionless face into a huge and welcoming smile.

I signed the paper and everyone cheered whilst my family were just staring star-struck.

"I do need a new legal guardian for Matilda though", He said, waiting for someone to speak up.

"I will!", Three voices went at once. I turned to see Cecilia, Granny and Lisa who were smiling from their head to feet.

"Blood relatives are preferred" , the judge stated.

"I will gladly adopt her", Lia said , as I started to let the tears fall.

"Thank you so much, I thought you forgot about me Lia", I said with a smile.

"I could never forget someone like you!" , she said with a huge grin.

I was no longer the forgotten child!

--------- No this isn't the end! I will be continuing her story dont worry!

Also are we happy about the results! Long time coming eh?

Well don't worry , lots of family drama for the future!

Just to make this clear Lia is a nickname for Cecilia, some people are asking who Lia is! <3
