Shit, she looks so pissed off. When she reached us she motioned for Jacob to piss off in which he quickly ran off, giving me a small sorry sign on his way out. I swear a bit of smoke came out of her ears when she saw him, glaring at me.

"Matilda.", She said, and paused for a second putting her hands on her hips, as I braced myself for the huge lecture she is going to give me about the dangers of smoking weed.

"Matilda. I am so disappointed in you.", She said, with her voice cracking half way through. It hurt more than yelling, it was like I let her down, and I let my entire body slump. It would of been better if she just yelled at me.

"I'm so sorry Granny, today was just too much for me.", I said with my head down, slightly exaggerating it so she would be mad at me. She pulled me into a tight hug after a moment as I smiled slightly.

"I know, I know, but there is more ways of feeling better than smoking this, this, poison", She said shaking her head. I just nodded trying not to argue with her and she smiled. Well that was anti-climatic. I expected at least a whack or something like father use to do. Not even a smack on the hand

"Come on, time for dinner", She said sighing, and put her arm around my shoulders, leading me back into her flat where I could smell warm food. Jacob was sat at the table waiting for us, tapping his fingers against the table as we walked in.

He instantly got up, a look of guilt on his face that he had gotten me in trouble.

"I apologise Granny, it was my fault entirely, I thought it was cool, and got her into it as well, please dont punish her for my own actions", He said with concern and sincerity written all over his face. Granny nodded her head looking down on him slightly and motioned for him to go get the chicken pies and fries from the kitchen. He nodded and ran quickly, giving me a small smile on the way.

She then turned to me and raised an eyebrow, looking me up and down.

"Huh. Wondering on when that was going to happen", She said with a smirk. I rolled my eyes and nudged her arm gently.

"Granny! Stop he can probably hear us", I whispered to her, as she chuckled and leant back in her chair as she did so. She then mockingly put a finger up to her lips.

"Whatever kid, just dont go getting pregnant alright, the last thing we need around here is a baby that's for sure", She said jokingly but I could tell she was being deadly serious. I rolled my eyes at her and shook my head. We aren't even dating!

"Of course not Granny", I said smiling as she gave me a discreet wink, causing me to shake my head at her again.

Jacob came back carrying two plates with our food, placing it in front of us with a little now and then went back for his, I got the knives and forks from the kitchen at the same time. I walked in and Jacob pulled me into a tight hug and let go after three or so seconds.

"Are you okay?", He asked me concerned. I giggled at the fact he thought Granny would do something to hurt me.

"Of course I am silly", I said with a smile, causing his whole body to relax. He hugged me once again, tighter this time before letting go, his hand on the side of my face.

"You have an amazing smile Tills", He said grinning, staring at me in the eyes. I looked to the side and blushed, I hated that about being ginger, blushing at the slightest thing.

"What's taking so long, oh Matilda, why are you bright red, are you sick?", She asked with a smirk. Stupid old lady.

"No Granny, perfectly well", I said glaring at her playfully. She then grabbed the cutlery out of our hands with a smirk as we followed her to the dining room.

We ate dinner in an hour or so, before I said my goodbyes to them both, Jacob with a kiss on the cheek, and headed off to bed. I was shattered after all.

But all I could think of was Stones words.

"Dont make me come and get you".

He wouldn't come here, he doesnt care that much, does he? I hope to god he doesnt.

The next day

Christmas. A day I never really enjoyed. I believe the only Christmas present they ever got me was a teddy bear before I was even born, and that's because I hadn't apparently 'murdered' my mother yet. I dont believe it was my fault entirely, I mean yes she dies because she had me, but she was the one who chose to keep me, she is the one who had sex with my father which created me.

I thought it was stupid that they blamed me. I was a baby for god sakes. I think its just cause I look just like her. Stupid genetics. I mean it wasn't my fault, I feel like they would of hated me more if I looked nothing like her.

Anyway, Christmas, a day that truly sucked. My brothers all bought eachother gifts, my father to his sons, but they would normally send me to my room for the day, claiming its way to hard for them to see me on a special day like Christmas. So does that mean a 6 year old doesnt deserve it?

It was complete and utter bullshit, but when I was younger I would blame myself as well, when Stone left I blamed myself, when the others started to leave as well, I would feel the blame directed straight onto me. I always would stay in my room on Christmas, either crying or glaring out of the window except for my 7th Christmas. Never again after that.

I kept the teddy bear, I still have it out of spite, to prove to them that they did care at one point. Just being born took that all away. It was Christmas tomorrow and I didn't really fancy doing something huge. I got a knock on the door, I opened to see Granny staring at me.

"Hey Hun, so I wont be here tomorrow as I'm off to my daughter house to see the grandkids for Christmas.", She said with a sorry smile. I preferred it this way.

"Its alright, go see your family Granny I really dont mind.", I said smiling holding her hands. She nodded but something was off about it.

"You can come if you like, they have heard so much about you and they would all love to meet you at some point", She said with a sad smile.

"No thank you, but thanks for the offer, I dont celebrate Christmas", I said. She nodded her head before giving me a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Any chance you can help this old lady bring the presents out to the car?", She asked. I smiled whilst nodding. I skipped off to jacobs flat. I knocked with a rhythm. Knock Knock, de Knock Knock.

"Coming", I heard him call. He came to the door, with soaking wet hair and no shirt on showing his stomach, and no he didnt have like a 6 pack, just a faint 4 pack, which is how I like my men anyway.

"Oh hey, sorry if I interupted anything", I said with a smile. He shook his head grinning.

"Nah, whatsup, miss me already?", He said, I rolled my eyes at him, but inside my heart was pounding like crazy.

"Granny needs our help with lifting the prezzies in the car", I said to him. He nodded and shut the door to his apartment and walked with me in a comfortable silence to Grannys as she as in the diner getting her pay check from Monty.

"So any plans for Christmas?", He asked. I shook my head.

"I dont celebrate it", I said quietly whilst grabbing a few small and big boxes. "You?", I asked.

"Oh yeah, my older sister is visiting, so I'm heading off home to spend it with the fam. They are pretty chill so it will be all the family there. Does your family celebrate?", He asked.

"They do, just never with me.", I said quietly. He nodded in confusion but didn't question furthur. We put all the presents in the car. At the same time granny came out of the diner with her paycheck. She gave us both a hug and a kiss goodbye and got into the car.

As she drove off she gave us a loud beep and a honk. We laughed and waved her off.

"I got to go soon as well to get home by diner", Jacob said next to me. I just nodded and gave him a short awkward wave, not before he pulled me close and gave me a long kiss on the lips. I pulled away after 5 or 6 seconds and he smiled.

"Ill see you in a few days", He said. I nodded as he went back into his flat. Shit I was late for work.

I practically sprinted to the diner. I ran in, put my apron on and ran out to the front. Monty was in the back flipping burgers.

"Hey hun. Can you work tommorow? Everyone is gone", He said. I smiled.

"Of course Monty, I have no plans.", I said smiling at him.

"Yes she does.", A familiar voice said behind me.
