Who would have thought you'd ever see me again?
Sorry for the wait, hope you've all been well. I've missed this.
Let's begin :)
----------------------------
"This guy really is the worst..." you sighed as yet another half hour passed as you slumped over your kitchen counter. Your house was spotless for once, you made sure that it would be in an acceptable condition for today.
Inside you were feeling a mix of both excitement and nervousness, it had been ages since you'd last seen your dad but you were looking forward to seeing him nonetheless.
Repeatedly scrolling through your phone didn't satisfy your impatience like you thought it would. Your messages were empty all over and there was practically nothing happening on social media. With nothing else to do, you just aimlessly wandered around the house as time slowly ticked. Eventually you turned to just watching whatever crap the news channel was spilling out but you couldn't give a shit about politics or any of that stuff so you tuned out almost immediately and kept scrolling through twitter
*DING DONG*
The sound echoed throughout the house as you vaulted over the sofa and jogged towards the door. You caught your breath for a second as you stood in front of the door and then slowly opened it, and the man standing on the other side was none other than your Father.
"Hey Kid" he smiled. It felt so nostalgic, so comforting. You lived alone and you loved it but it always felt lonely deep down.
Instantly you rushed into his arms and he reciprocated with a hug.
He didn't say anything, he just let you stay against him for a moment. The familiar but distant feeling baked both a mix of comfort and sadness inside of you but right now that shard of happiness you were feeling was overflowing.
After what felt like a satisfactory amount of time, you let go of him and took a step back, wiping the dry tears in your eyes in the process. He gestured inside and you led him inside.
"You're keeping the place pretty clean huh?" he said as he ruffled your hair. "God, you should get this cut sometime, I am a barber you know"
"No thanks. I like my hair how it is, but if someone wants their haircut I'll be sure to give them your card" you smirked.
"So you got both my looks and my quick wit when you were born, I'm starting to think what you even inherited from your mother"
"Charm, Youth, The ability to consume Dairy..."
"HEY!" he shouted. You couldn't help but laugh in return.
"The charm I don't take offense to, Youth? I'll let it slide but my Dairy Allergy is a low blow"
"Sorry Sorry" you laughed. "So, do you wanna go out for a little while, it's still the afternoon"
"Sure, where do you have in mind?"
"There's a cool lake that Fuutaro told me about a while ago. We can catch up there, how about it?"
"All good to me son, lead the way"
----
After a short journey, you both arrive at a large lake. Fuutaro initially told you about this place some time ago because apparently Yotsuba often jogged around here.
"Wow." your dad said, taken aback by the view. "So this city does have some nice spots to it"
"Yeah... so-"
"So-"
"Oh sorry" you both say in unison. A small laugh was shared between the two of you.
"You go" you gestured.
"So, tell me about your girlfriend" he nudged your arm.
A sigh escaped your mouth as you stretched your legs out and leaned back on the bench, staring at the clouds above.
"Where do I even begin, it's a long story"
"It can't be that long of a story if you got a girlfriend between the last two times I called. It was only like a week's worth of time"
"True I guess... Well for starters her name's Nino"
"Nino? Nice name"
"Y-Yeah, anyway. She's a quintuplet and me and Fuutaro tutor all of them"
"A quintuplet? and YOU? a tutor?" your dad said with an almost cartoonish shocked look on his face.
"Yeah it's weird how these sorts of things happen... In any case, overtime me and Nino grew closer in those sessions and in school and on our recent field trip, I made the move and here we are" It wasn't hard to feel your face increasing in temperature as your voice got quieter the longer you talked.
You flashed a glance in your father's direction to see him with a huge shit-eating grin on his face.
"Ah c'mon Y/N, you don't have to be embarrassed, I'm happy you're finally seeing someone"
"When you put it like that it makes me think you thought I was hopeless"
"What! I'd never think that, besides, me and your mother always used to tell you how much of a handsome kid you were"
"But every parent says that, just for their kids to end up as NEET's or loners"
"..." he had no response to that.
"Nevermind, in any case you'll meet her eventually and I'm sure she'll be excited to meet you"
"I hope so. I'm not too good at first impressions" he laughed.
It was hard not to smile with the warmth in your chest. Just talking to your dad about the girl you loved made things feel complete.
"How's Fuutaro doing?"
"He's good, stressed and deeply buried in his studies but that's just how he operates. Though he is starting to loosen up a bit"
"In other words, you're being a bad influence on him?"
"Shut up, I'm a healthy figure in his life, without something different hitting you every so often you become too straight-lined"
"That's horrible logic son..." he said putting his head in his palm.
"I'll just tell him you said Hi"
"So now that we've had a moment to talk, is there anything you wanna do with your old man?" he leaned forward and asked.
Surprisingly nothing came to mind even though you were excited that you were finally seeing him again.
He noticed the moment of silence and decide to fill the air. "So how's it been?, living here alone I mean"
"It's great, I've got good friends, I don't get bullied at school and I have a healthy body so all in all I'd say I'm doing pretty good"
"How's baseball? You still keeping up with it?" he asked.
You scratched your cheek for a moment, "Yeah, now I am anyway"
"Now you are?" he raised an eyebrow.
"It's complicated, Me and another didn't really agree on things too well so I split off with them but I came back recently and it's been going well"
"What made you go back"
"I made up with the guy I was having problems with"
"How?"
"I kicked his ass. "
Amazed but not surprised, your father couldn't help but let out a hearty chuckle.
"Yeah you're definitely my kid alright!"
He stood up and stretched, "Whaddya say we go and grab something to eat? I'm starving"
"Sounds good" you replied as you stood up and similarly stretched.
"Now let me tell you about when I kicked another kid's ass back in my school days" your dad said as you both made your way to a nearby restaurant.
A few hours later you were both stuffed with all the food both of you could muster to eat and were just leaving the restaurant as it was starting to get somewhat late in the day.
"So this is where we part ways" your dad turned to you.
"Yeah, thanks for coming, it was really good to see you."
"Of course son" he sits down on a nearby wall and holds his stomach. "I might not be the most present figure in your life but I do really love you kid"
"I know, I never had any doubts"
"Good luck on the baseball Y/N, I'm proud of you!" he shouted as he entered his taxi and drove off. It was a pretty fast and sudden goodbye but that was just your dad's style.
The night sky beamed over you, with nothing but your house keys, phone and earbuds you began the journey home.
----------------
It was incredibly to obvious who everyone who passed you in the halls the next day that you were in a good mood. The dumb grin on your face just wouldn't fade, and why should it? There wasn't any reason to be ashamed.
As you entered your morning class, you felt a certain familiar pair of eyes gaze at you as you approached your seat.
"Hey Babe" you cheerily waved to your girlfriend.
"Hey, what's got you in such a good mood?" she slightly laughed.
"Seeing my dad made me happy, is that a crime now?"
"Of course not idiot" she smiled warmly as she kissed you on the cheek.
It was one of those days where you and Nino were practically glued together the entire day.
One of your favourite perks about dating Nino was how other guys would give you increasingly dirty looks of jealousy as Nino proudly showed you off and you did the same with her. If there was one main thing you both had in common it was that Ultra Ego you both possessed.
Even with the time of year it was still a nice day so you both decided to wander around the school grounds after the day was done.
Her hands were so small but really soft and thankfully her nails didn't scratch you too much.
"Can you believe the look on that guys face as soon as you appeared" Nino laughed thinking back to a few minutes ago when another guy tried hitting on her.
"I don't know how they haven't' realised we're a thing yet, it's not like we try and hide it at all"
"I know!"
You both cackled your way to a nearby bench out in the sun.
"Hey, there's something I've been meaning to ask, I'm sure I've asked this sort of thing before but I want to hear it again"
"Hit me with it" you throw an arm around her shoulder.
"Why'd you pick me?"
"Again? I feel like you ask this every week" you chuckled.
"I-I know but I just feel like I have to reassure myself" she whimpered.
"Alright, how can I phrase it this time that'll make it stick..." you pondered for a moment, literally scratching your head for ideas.
Nino was waiting patiently, staring into your face as you tried to come up with the wording to satisfy her worries, and then it hit you.
"Did I ever tell you about my 'Philosophy' so to speak"
"Philosophy?"
"I'm not even sure it's the right word but essentially my mother used to drill in my head to find 'The One for Me'."
"..."
"I had no clue what she meant for years when she was alive and years after she died, but for some reason when I met you for the first time in that classroom on the day you transferred, I started to feel like I understood what she meant"
"I see..."
"I think it solidified when I found out you were a quintuplet"
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"It means, if I was decided on who to date purely based on looks, no one would stand out as you're all identical, not counting your unique charms and quirks of course" you smiled.
She blushed in response but ushered you to continue.
"I fell in love with who you are as a person, exactly the type of woman I looked for and wanted to spend my life with, essentially" You grab her hands, "I finally found The One for Me, did that make any sense?"
For a second you thought your eyes were deceiving you, but tears started to form in her eyes.
"Hey-" as soon as you were about to mention it she buried her face into your chest and wrapped you in constrictingly tight hug.
The trees swayed in the wind as she weeped silently into your chest, she really hated people seeing her cry after all, it was a cute trait of hers. Hopefully this time your words were enough to destroy any lingering anxieties she might have about the relationship.
Nino finally released you from her grasp and smiled, "Okay, I get it. I believe you"
"Maybe I'll repeat that speech at the wedding" you joked.
"Do It and I'll punch you after the reception" she leaned her head against your shoulder.
"I really wish I could have met your mother, the woman who raised a son as perfect as you" she sighed.
"I wish you could have met her too, I'm sure she would have loved you"
"Do you really think so?"
"I know so"
Both of you embraced a little silence and the ambience of after school hours as people's voices faded out and the sun started to lower in the sky.
"Is there anything you want to ask me?"
"There is one thing I've been curious about since the day we met" you laughed slightly
"What! what is it?" she eagerly encouraged.
"Why Thigh-Highs?"
She immediately jumped off of your shoulder and look at you in bewilderment.
"What? you said anything, I've been curious about it"
"W-Well, I just like them, they're not as restrictive as tights but I don't want my bare legs out at school" she blushed faintly
"Well, they make your thighs look great if that's any consolation"
"I already know you like my thighs Idiot, do you not remember when you stayed overnight for the first time and you insisted on laying your head on them"
Caught red-handed, you could feel the burn on your cheeks and Nino giggled at your embarrassment.
"I'll tell you what, let's go sit on the grass and then you can lay your head in my lap. How's that sound?" she offered with a knowing smile on her face.
Like a dog being told it was time for a walk, you flew out of your seat and scooped Nino up in your arms.
"H-Hey! Cut it out!" she laughed as you carried her over to spot on the grass just beneath a tree. She rest against the tree and sat on her knees.
All she had to do was give you a seductive look and smile and pat her thighs a few times before you embraced yourself in heaven.
Immediately your head was submerged into a world of pleasure, the only logical way to describe her body was 'soft'. The thigh-highs dug into her plump thighs and it felt like they added even more meat than what was already there. It was like laying your head on clouds, you had no idea what amazing deed you committed in a past life to deserve your current situation but you weren't complaining one bit. This was enough to consider you the luckiest guy in the entire world, maybe even universe but those aliens could be going crazy out there who knows.
Your train of though was interrupted by a nail poking your cheek, you turned from your side so you were facing directly up and now there was 2 huge obstacles between your face and Nino's.
"Don't face this way idiot, I just didn't know if you fell asleep"
"So would you rather I be face down?"
"Not particularly..."
"On my side it is" you smiled as you rotated back to your original position while Nino began to slowly play with your hair, weaving her fingers in and out of your strands and slightly scratching the top of your head in a steady and relaxing manner.
This was putting you to sleep easier than any Lo-Fi playlist ever could.
"So what did you and your father talk about?" Nino randomly brought up.
"We were just catching up for the most part, nothing too specific but you were mentioned in the conversation"
"Really? Do you think I'll be able to meet him?"
"Eh, maybe It's hard to say with how sporadic he is. I don't even know if I'll see him again before he leaves"
"If that's how it is"
"What about your father, when am I gonna meet him?"
"..."
"What?"
"I don't think you'd get along, he's really strict and to be honest we barely see anything of him" Her tone became a lot more sombre so you decide to redirect the conversation.
"Still, I wish there was some way I could have met your mother too" you sighed.
"I know she would have accepted you in a heartbeat" Nino lightly giggled, you turned to face up once again.
"Ya think so? I'm not the best at first impressions"
"Don't be an idiot, you made a good first impression on me didn't you?"
"All we did was argue when we met." you bluntly said
From the tiny portion of her face that wasn't blocked out by nearby planets you could see her begin to blush.
"W-Well that's because..."
"You're a Tsundere." you teased
"Am Not!"
"Are too, though it's lessened a lot lately but it is what initially drew me to you"
A tiny smile started to form on her face "I love you." she simply said.
"I love you too".
She leaned down and somehow managed to kiss you before comedically pushing you off of her lap.
"Well. I think we better start heading home, are you coming over tonight?"
"Sure, if you want the company" you rubbed you head from the impact from the floor.
"Of course, plus Yotsuba's been insisting that you play that game with her"
"I still can't believe she still hasn't given up on losing at Mario Kart"
"Oh come on, Maybe I'll play this time!"
"You, Nino Nakano will play Mario Kart? I'd love to see the day" you joked
"Shut up!" Nino hit you in the shoulder. This girl always has a stronger punch than you expect.
"Chill out, chill out. But don't expect me to go easy on you just because you're my girlfriend"
----------------
Saturday Morning arrived, today was finally the day after months of waiting that you were getting your Motorbike back from the repair shop. Luckily the head of the garage promised a discount for taking so long.
The plan for today was to go and get the bike and ride to the apartment while Fuutaro was tutoring the girls. Afterwards you would take Nino and ride off somewhere undecided and just let yourselves be taken by the present.
After you pull yourself out of bed, the owner of the repair shop calls you to say they'll be ready in an hour's time so get here sometime around then. This meant you had to rush, it was already 10am and you were pretty sure the study session was starting at 11:30am. You hoped the process of actually getting the bike wouldn't take too long.
After a refreshing bowl of cereal and getting yourself showered and dressed. It was finally time to set out to the repair shop. Before leaving however you sent Fuutaro a text about going to pick up your bike but to not mention it to the girls just to savour the surprise.
Thankfully the entire process of getting your bike back wasn't too long. It took around an hour total so it was around 12pm. Before heading to the apartment, you decided to take a little cruise around the area, just to get the feel of this improved bike.
Having access to your own form of travel way so refreshing, now you didn't have to walk home in the middle of the night from the apartment, and you could even ride to school now. Plus this would expand the list of places you could take Nino on dates, or just hang out with Fuutaro or one of the other quints.
The possibilities had opened up and you couldn't help but feel on top of the world, you just hoped that the on-going study sessions was going well, letting Fuutaro wrangle and control all of the girls was something you rarely let him do as you'd only missed 1 or 2 sessions this entire time but they'd been with him long enough to hopefully not turn the place upside down in your absence.
All of this riding made you really thirsty so you stopped at a vending machine and bought a nice can of Coke, it was super cold so you savoured the refreshing taste, even if it wasn't the most healthy thing available.
After riding around for a while, you realised that it was probably about time to head to the Pentagon. Parking over on a quiet road for a moment, you dug through your pocket for your phone and called Fuutaro.
The phone rang for a few moments as you idly waited around, drinking the coke that you just bought.
"Hey man, I was thinking of coming over now, with this bike I can probably get there-"
"..."
"NINO AND ITSUKI DID WHAT!?"
-------------------------
Hey.
It's nice to have you reading again. It's been close to 3 months since I last updated (holy shit) and I want to try and get back into the swing of things.
This time a bunch of things in my life kind of jumped me at once, like a week after releasing the last chapter I got Covid and I've generally been pretty down the past few months and just simply haven't had the drive to write anything. It was even my birthday a few weeks ago lmao. A lot's changed but a lot stays the same in my life.
I feel like most of these recent outro pieces have been me apologising about disappearing, if it wasn't obvious enough by now I have very bad consistency issues and I can't force myself to write. So if I'm not feeling it, I simply just won't write
I do hope you've all been well since I lasted released a chapter, the story also hit 50k so that's sick thank you guys as always. I initially started this to help myself get out of a depressive episode I was having so I honestly just started writing without caring who'd read it but after seeing your guys comments and things pile up these past few months I think my urge to write finally kicked into gear again.
I can't and won't promise consistency but I'll try and communicate what's going on better in the future.
That's really all I have to say, Sorry again for probably the 18th time lmao. Hope you guys have a good rest of you day and I'll see you in Chapter 24! Take care of yourselves!
