The UK has had the strangest weather this July, it's just fine in the day but hot as balls at night, this place actually has Tsundere weather I swear. Besides my rambling, enjoy!

The sound of whooshing metal cars surrounded you along with the fragrance of cotton candy floating through the air and the screams of people descending the various rollercoasters of the park.

"Woah" you said in amazement, truthfully this is the first time since you were really young that you'd stepped foot in an amusement park.

"WOOOOOOOOW" Yotsuba gasped as her eyes turned to stars as she looked around the park in sheer excitement.

"Hey... did we bring a leash for her... I feel like If we leave her she'll run of and start running laps on the rollercoaster tracks" you said.

Itsuki was to your right and she was eyeing all of the different food stalls in the park, Ichika and Nino were looking at some accessories and costumes they had on display near the entrance, so You, Fuutaro and Miku stood just after the entrance taking in the sights.

"Overwhelmed?" you asked Fuutaro. He had a nervous look on his face

"Sorta... I've never been to a place like this before"

"Ichika!" the three of you turned to see Itsuki grab Ichika's arm and drag her off towards the biggest rollercoaster in the park. Poor Ichika looked like she had a long day ahead of her.

With Ichika's disappearance than left Nino on her lonesome, Fuutaro watched as Itsuki dragged Ichika away so you shot Miku a glance, then raised your eyebrows at Fuutaro. Finally you pat her on the head as indication to go and do her thing, to which she quickly slapped your hand away.

"Hey... easy, easy. Your sister likes this hand"

"Gross." Miku stared at you before you left the area in the hopes of not getting your jaw punched off.

Nino stood looking at the gift shop window, she wore a white frilled top that was tucked into a long dark red skirt, accompanied by a pair of black boots. She carefully examined each row of gifts stacked up in the display window.

"Nino!" you called out to her which made her jump slightly. She took a breath and turned to you.

"O-Oh... hey" she sighed, "You scared me idiot!" she barked at you immediately.

"What's got you so on edge? Are you looking for my birthday present?" you teased her, knowing that is probably exactly what she was doing.

Nino rolled her eyes and turned to face you.

"You look nice today by the way"

"Thank you" she warmly smiled and did a little twirl so you could see the whole outfit.

"I think Itsuki's holding Ichika captive and Fuutaro has his hands full with Miku and Yotsuba so It'll be our own time for now, anything in particular you wanna do?"

"Mmmm, let's just walk around for now" she takes your hand and the two of you leave the gift shop and start to walk around the park.

Screams could be heard from every direction as you watched Nino stare up at the big rollercoasters. We got here a few hours after the park opened and we weren't all probably going to leave until the evening. The exam was a week away so this was kind of our last moment of fresh air before we were in hyper exam mode.

"Are you thinking about the exams again?" Nino raised her eyebrow at you as she folded her arms looking displeased with your train of thought.

"Sorry... It's just-"

"It's just what!?" She put her fists against her hips "You've been thinking non-stop about these exams, baby, I understand you have your concerns but...it'll be okay. We'll all get through it"

You bury your face in your hands for a brief moment then wipe them off to the sides, like you had water on your hands and you just washed your face in the morning. "Ugh, I know, I know" you said as you lowered your hands.

"I do seriously have faith in you guys, I'm not just saying it for the sake of it"

"I know, and they know" Nino kissed you gently on the cheek. "Now, if you've got all that moody exam talk out of your system, how about we enjoy the day here" she smiled cheekily.

A map was the first order of business but even after looking at it like idiots for a few minutes, we just decided to just wing it and see where the walking would take us.

"I don't think any of us have been to an Amusement Park since mom took us when we were kids" Nino smiled at the ground.

"Same for me, I think the last time I came to one I was about 7 I'd guess"

"I thought you'd be going crazy with Itsuki, going on all of the rollercoasters"

"What? you want me to leave you alone and go have fun with your sisters without you?"

"You know that's not what I meant stupid" Nino playfully punched your shoulder as the two of you stumbled upon some type of haunted house.

"They... have these here?" you asked.

Nino stared at the entrance. "I'm getting flashbacks of the school trip... I love her, but Itsuki sure is a handful when It comes to scary stuff, I don't know how she dosen't feel any fear from rollercoasters but does from a Bat plushie on a string"

"Let's go for a rollercoaster then. We can start small and work our way up"

"Huh? are you scared?" Nino taunted you.

"Me? Hell no, I was just being considerate for you"

"What makes you think I would back down from riding it? It's just a stupid rollercoaster"

"Let's just hope you're tall enough to get on" you pat her head before walking away from her towards a nearby Rollercoaster. Faintly you could hear her shout "Idiot" at you.

After waiting in like for what felt like forever, the both of you got seated and zoomed off on the ride. Many more rollercoasters were triumphed by the both of you over the course of the next few hours, that is until you were on your way to another when you suddenly got a text on your phone.

Ichika

Y/N! Plz, where r u?

I'm at fountain in the middle of the park

U ok?

Itsuki is killing me 😣

Nino nosily peeked over your shoulder.

"So she finally ran out of stamina" Nino laughed.

"Seems so. So either we get Itsuki dropped on top of us now, or we get both of them. Wanna put a bet on which one it is?"

"You're on. I bet Ichika stays with us"

"Deal" you shook her hand and she had a cocky smile on her face.

The two of you enjoyed your last few quiet minutes together on a bench just in front of the big fountain that sat in the central plaza of the park. Nino climbed onto your lap and you wrapped your arms around her waist. The both of you swayed in a calming rythm as the sky began to change into warmer colours as the time had reached 6pm. For a moment, when you glanced at the Ferris wheel, you could have sworn you saw a pair of bunny ears in one of the Ferris wheel carriages.

Soon after, Itsuki was dragging Ichika towards you, she looked dead inside and out to be frank.

"Wow... uh, someone looks like they had fun" you laughed nervously at the eldest sisters current state.

"Y/N, you wouldn't believe it! We went on so many rides it was amazing!" Itsuki immediately ran up to you and started to yap your ear off, while endearing it was obvious she wasn't out of juice yet.

Nino caught the deflated Ichika as you dealt with this chirping bird in front of you.

"Woah. Itsuki, slow down!" you tried to plea with her.

"Y/N! let's go and ride something together" she proposed and swiftly grabbed a hold of my wrist, and began to drag me away from Nino and Ichika.

"Oi! Itsuki!" Nino stood up from the fountain and reeled her little sister back in. "Where do your think you're going with my boyfriend?" she hissed. Her sisters angry tone seemed to be the thing to finally snap Itsuki out of her Amusement Park high.

She sheepishly rubbed her head and apologised. "You almost killed Ichika too" you pointed out.

After the three of you comforted Ichika back to a healthy position you all decided to look for the others together.

You walked next to Itsuki and Nino and Ichika walked in front of you both, Ichika leaned into Nino and was seemingly whispering in her ear. Watching the sunset-cast sky as the four of you walked really made the feeling of this potentially being the last hurrah ever.

"Oh, there's Miku" you heard Nino call out as Miku stood on her lonesome next to the carousel.

You walked up to her and nudged her, whispering to her. "Waiting for Prince Charming?"

She shot you a dirty look and then sighed. "He left"

"Left!? The park?"

"No, he went to go and take a dump or something" she pouted.

"A Man's gotta do his business Miku, we'll meet up with him later I guess" Judging by those shapes you saw on the Ferris wheel not too long ago, it seemed obvious what was going on. Yotsuba sneaking off and Fuutaro going to kick some sense into her, so because of that you had 4 sisters to deal with for the next while.

"Hey, how about we go on the carousel?" Nino tugged at your arm.

"Finally, a slow ride..." Ichika celebrated as she headed off for the line which at this point.... didn't exist it was empty at the carousel.

The rest of us followed and all 5 of us decided to ride the carousel together and it seemed like everyone needed it, especially after a day of thrills and whatever other words associate with rollercoasters.

Still though, the moment couldn't be fully enjoyed because of the lingering tension of the finals on the back of your mind, no matter how hard you tried to shake it. As you learned a while ago, Yotsuba was the thing holding the others back last time, but with her diligence and passion for not wanting to make the same mistake again, you had faith and guessing that at this very moment, Fuutaro was talking with her gave you a lot of hope.

Itsuki finally stabilized and Ichika finally recovered her stamina. Miku and Nino talked amongst themselves as you all continued for the next while.

Eventually, Fuutaro and Yotsuba both arrived.

"There you guys are!" Nino said, squinting slightly when she realises the two of them came alone together. "Yotsuba... he didn't do anything weird to you did he?" Nino said patting Yotsuba down.

"Just what kind of person do you think I am....?" Fuutaro groaned quietly.

Yotsuba waved in contest. "Of course he didn't do anything to me! Uesugi is a good guy"

Nino rolled her eyes as you saw Miku glare at her unbeknownst to everyone else.

"It's starting to get dark, how about we call it quits for today" you suggested to the group to which everyone agreed.

As you left the park, still the only thing coming to mind was those damn finals...

A week of long meticulous studying, from the moment school ended to the hours of the night. All 7 of you put your heads together and just worked your asses off, trying to understand every piece of information needed to pass these exams. Fuutaro mainly handled Yotsuba and Miku. You mainly tutored Nino and Ichika while Itsuki would float between the groups. Every couple of hours everyone would get back together and swap their tutors. At the end of each day we would all come together and go over everything we learnt.

Each of the girls specialized in a specific subject area which made things a lot more easier as for each topic there were essentially 3 tutors teaching the remaining 4 people. Overall this really sped up and increased productivity and the girls were getting more answers right every time when you and Fuutaro would test their knowledge.

Finally. The day was here at last. The final exam of the academic year.

The air felt colder this morning, maybe it was just your nerves but there was nothing that you could do other than believe in the others as you got out of bed.

Your loud ringtone boomed out across the other side of the room, making you sloppily get out of bed and answer.

"Hello?"

"Good Morning Honey" Nino's voice said sweetly on the other end of the line.

"Oaaah. G'Morning babe" you barely said coherently as you yawned straight into the phone. Nino giggled cutely.

"Today's the day huh?"

"Yeah, nervous?"

"Of course, but I think it'll be okay"

"How's everyone else?"

"Ichika's still asleep, I'm making breakfast. Miku is watching TV and both Yotsuba and Itsuki are doing some last minute studying. I take it you just woke up?" she chuckled.

"Yeah"

"Well, don't be late, I'll see you in school okay?"

"I won't be late babe don't worry about me, make sure you guys get there on time though. Love you"

"Mwaah" Nino kissed through the phone and hung up, what a charmer.

After getting your act together, eating some toast and taking a deep breath as you locked the door to your house, it was finally time to face these exams head on.

After a short travel to school, you made your way inside, looking at the multitude of students stressing out last minute, giving their friends pep talks and just the general shitty mood of the school all over. Rough sights to say the least, putting a student's mental wellbeing and future on an exam was so stupid but it was an unwinnable fight and just how things were.

Suddenly, a conversation you had a while ago with Takeda crossed your mind, that time you ran into him in the halls while you were looking for Itsuki when her and Nino had that big fight. It was a few months ago at this point but the way he lingered on wondering if their father would hire him if his grades were good enough bothered you, and after the previous encounter with Mr.Maruo it wasn't exactly in you favour.

Along with that, the threat of the 5 of them passing otherwise they would transfer schools and you would be forced to break up with Nino was a future that you'd rather avoid. The pressure and anxiety of the situation slowly started to kick in and you could feel yourself getting more tense.

Suddenly there was someone grabbing your arm, you looked over your shoulder to see Nino holding onto you, with the girls and Fuutaro standing behind her.

"Y/N" Nino looked up at you, her nerves were clear in her eyes even if her tone didn't convey that fact, she did always try to look tough in front of the others after all.

"Yeah. I know. You ready for this?"

Nino nodded.

"We all are" Itsuki spoke up.

"We're going to pass this exam" Yotsuba clenched her fist. "All of us!" her determination was clear and Fuutaro was smiling like an idiot behind them all.

He looked straight at you. "Yeah... you're right" you cracked your knuckles, "We've got this" you flashed them a confident smile as everyone headed off to their exams with their heads held high.

1 Week After the Exams....





"WE DID IT!" Yotsuba jumped in the air excitedly.

"Congratulations and all, but why the hell are we celebrating in my house?" you asked much to your own dismay. Somehow the plan got shifted to celebrating the results at your house which was barely enough to fit the 7 of you at the sofas.

Still, you couldn't help but feel a sense of relief, finally the exams that were plaguing all of you were done with. Everyone's results were laid out on the table besides yours and Fuutaro's. All of the girls had managed to Pass.

Out of the possible 500, their scores were:

Ichika Nanako - 240/500

Nino Nakano - 209/500

Miku Nakano - 238/500

Yotsuba Nakano - 184/500

Itsuki Nakano - 224/500

Granted, they weren't exactly top 10 scores but nonetheless everyone passed the exam.

"Ichika, good work, I have to admit I'm surprised to see you did the best overall" you complimented her as you looked in detail at her marks.

"Y-Yeah, I worked really hard this time" she blushed.

"Why do you sound nervous? You didn't cheat did you?" you teased her.

"What! N-No... I just thought Miku would be the number one again" she admitted.

Miku looked at Ichika with a blank expression.

"Wait, Miku I didn't mean-"

"Congratulations Ichika, it just means I have to try harder next time." Miku smiled in response.

"It's really impressive you did so well on top of having work" Itsuki said.

Ichika looked over at Fuutaro as if needing praise from him. He realised after you shot him a look and gently pat Ichika on the head "Well Done" is all he said.

"Hey babe" Nino nudged you. "Where are you results?" she asked.

"And you too Fuutaro!" Itsuki said as she went to go and pick up the overturned slip sitting next time him. However, she stopped her hands just before grabbing it. "Wait, I'm not going to fall for the trap of letting you brag about getting good grades.

Fuutaro clicked his tongue "You're getting smarter at something dumb"

Nino still looked at you expectantly but the flow of conversation was interrupted by Miku.

"Hey, Y/N. You have no sweets at all" she pouted.

"What kind of place do you think my house is?" you frowned. "I can go to the store and pick some up if you guys want."

"Thank you for your service" Miku bowed. "Okay, everyone write something down they want from the store" she put a piece of paper on the table and began writing a bunch of things on it, she passed the paper around and soon enough you had a list of snacks and drinks to go and get.

"Am I meant to use my money to go and buy all of this crap?"

"It's your treat for us!" Ichika smiled teasingly.

"I can come with you" Nino spoke up.

"It's alright, I'll only be 10 minutes, you just chill here and I'll be back before you know it" you kissed her on the forehead.

Ichika shoved the list into your hands and you left the house in the hands of the others,

The streets were somewhat quiet apart from the occasional car coming down the road, it was somewhat warm tonight so at least you didn't have to walk alone in the dark while being cold.

As you approached the store, you got that tingling sensation when you can just feel like you're being watched, there were nothing but the usual cars driving past and the dim lights of the street lamps poorly lighting the road. Getting hit by a car after this turn of good events would super suck.

Finally you reached the store, but that creeping feeling didn't leave you as you entered. Shrugging that feeling off temporarily, you gathered everything people wanted from the list that Ichika shoved into your pocket, most of this stuff was just sweets and soft drinks. The store was literally empty besides the cashier so after exchanging some awkward eye contact with them you grabbed your bags and left the store.

Now armed with a plastic bag in each hand, the journey home began, but that feeling came back once again, you looked around but all there was was a car, parked along the road a few meters ahead of you. It was all black, tinted windows, the super sketchy kind of car that would definitely have a guy grab you from the back seat. As you started to get closer to the car, the passenger door opened and out came a man you did not expect to see.

"Mr.Maruo?" you tilted your head, trying to get a better look at the man standing under the dim street lamp. The driver side door also opened and out stood the person you recognised as Ebata.

"Y/N. It's good that we caught you" Maruo began to speak.

"You talk like it was a convenience but you guys have been camping here for a while right?" you laughed slightly. "What can I help you with?"

"I received word that everyone has passed all subjects, it's praise worthy that the seven of you have accomplished this feat" he talked in a stone cold voice with not fluctuation in his tone at all. "Congratulations"

"Um... thanks?" you said slightly confused. "I-I think last time we got off on the wrong foot and-"

"It seems I have no choice but to acknowledge you as a part of their lives now. But acknowledgment does not equal support"

"Is me dating Nino really that much of an issue?" you asked. He took a deep breath and calmly responded.

"I want you to come with us on a trip"

Now you were completely confused. "A Trip? Where to?"

"A hot spring resort" he took out his phone. "Give me your number and I will contact you closer to the date"

You obliged and exchanged contact info with him. "Um, I appreciate this but why are you taking me exactly?"

"I want to see what kind of person you have become in the last several years" he said sternly.

"Sure...." still confused by the whole situation. "Are you going to come and see the girls?" you asked.

"I have important matters to attend, I was initially going to knock on your door and ask to speak with you alone but this is a much better outcome" he adjusted his tie.

This guy was such a lousy dad... "Okay. Hey, by the way... have you heard anything about a kid called Takeda?"

He thought for a moment. "He's a fellow student of yours correct?"

"Unfortunately"

"I had gotten a request of a tutor looking to be hired, but his results were 444 out of 500. Good results but I saw Uesugi Fuutaro obtained higher results with a 459 out of 500" He shifted his position and locked eyes with you. "I never checked for your results, what were they?"

Truth be told, you didn't really want to answer considering you hid it from the others, the past few weeks after intensely studying everyday, it had an effect on you, with the amount of knowledge being crammed into you on a daily basis you were drowning in learning for lack of a better term. Even after the small push everyone gave each other in the hallway before heading into their exams, anxiety and fatigue from everything caught up with you.

You let out a sigh and slowly took out the results sheet from your pocket and handed it to him.

His eyes, for a very brief moment, widened slightly.

"463...." he said surprised, he lowered the paper and looked at you again. "You... I never knew you..."

"Could score higher than Fuutaro? me neither" you laughed. "Now, are we done here? I have things I need to be doing" you jiggled the bags you were still holding.

Maruo handed you back the results sheet. "Very well, I will be in contact with you soon Y/N. Also, do not mention this meeting to the others or anything we have talked about, understand?"

"Sure thing Mr.Maruo, drive safe" you chuckled to which he didn't show any sign of amusement.

Both him and Ebata got back into the car and drove off into the night, you looked at them disappear into the distance when suddenly you got a call"

"Hello?"

"Hey! Where the hell are you? What's taking so long idiot!" Your lovely girlfriend shouted at you down the phone.

"I'll be back in a few minutes babe" you hung up immediately after speaking just to annoy her, knowing you'd probably receive a beating once you got back home.

As soon as you opened the door to your own house, everyone rushed to you and snatched the bag out of your hands.

"Thanks guys..." you sighed as you sat down by the sofa again. You sat in between Nino's legs on the floor as she sat on the sofa above you.

"So what happens now?" Fuutaro said, everyone looked at him confused.

"What do you mean?" Itsuki asked as curious as the rest of us.

"W-Well..." Fuutaro scratched his head. "This is a celebration I guess but Y/N, wasn't your birthday a few days ago?" he pointed out, causing everyone to look at you.

"Oh yeah! We did all say happy birthday but with all of the studying we never celebrated it" Yotsuba realised.

"Eh... we don't really have to do anything..."

Nino then closed her legs around your neck, not hard but enough for you to tense up. "No, we're celebrating your birthday" she commanded and there was no saying no to that.

"Y-Yeah okay.... now please let me go..." you plead as she took her legs away from your neck and placed them by your side.

"Then it's decided!" Nino clapped her hands together and laughed like a cruel queen.

It seemed like things were only about to get more hectic from here on out...

Please ignore if I talked in the first person at all during this chapter, I've been writing shorter things lately and they've been mostly in the first person, I could just start doing that for this story but doing that 33 chapters in just feels weird so I'll just keep the lenient second person thing I have going on. Also, spoiler, Scrambled Eggs is coming up soon but at 33 chapters I'm starting to wonder how long this story is gonna be lmao, we might hit 60 or something. If I had to take a guess I'd imagine this would end somewhere in the 50-60 range depending on what I do but that is literal years off of happening.

Something I wanted to ask, what do you guys think about the cover of this book? I have literally no idea when I made it but It could definitely be better (Mostly the colouring on the text) but I was thinking of maybe changing up the image or something once Third Year starts, let me know if that's something you think I should do or if I should just keep it how it is now (I do like it how it is now, I just like changing things sometimes)

Also no, as stupid as the name of the book is, that is not changing (seriously sometimes I wish I got a better idea for a title besides The One for Me)
