As I'm writing this, I've just published the first part of the series! Thanks to everyone who's read it so far, it means a lot to me. Enough talk tho, it's Nino Time Boys!

"Alright Girls," Fuutaro stood before all of the girls in there apartment with test papers in hand, you stood behind him as you were the back-up, in case any of the girls tried something again. You did wonder if any of the girls had gotten curious as to what you got out of this coming to tutor them too. Admittedly at first you just did it to be a good friend and help Fuutaro, and while that's still true, you also recognise you're here for Nino. You've started to get a grasp on your feelings towards Nino recently, maybe not enough to say you outright 'like' her, but you're definitely interested and curious to see where you can both go.

"I made each one of you a test for today, split equally between the subjects, if you get above 60%-"

"Make it 50%" you interrupt "It shouldn't be any problem for them at 50 if they're so insistent on not needing a tutor" You smirked. "Right Girls?"

They all grumble slightly and look away from me and Fuutaro.

"That's fine by us, but I think you're both underestimating us!" Nino said proudly.

"Lets just hope that confidence carries over to your grade"

"As I was saying..." Fuutaro cleared his throat to get our attention back on him, "If you get above 50%, you pass, and Myself and Y/N will never come back to Tutor you, or bother you ever again!"

The girls all look at each other in silence, then at us.

"I think we have a deal" you think to yourself, crossing your arms

Fuutaro hands each of the girls a test and also set one in front of you.

You looked at him slightly confused but could guess his intentions.

"Why are you also giving one to Y/N?" Miku asked, clearly puzzled

"Y/N hasn't seen the test either, so he is going to take it with you, same questions and everything". He then turns towards me "You've been slacking on your own studies Y/N, so I'm having you prove yourself worthy to be a tutor" You open you mouth to defend yourself "And before you say anything" Fuutaro cuts you off, "Actually try in this exam, you would have a much higher ranking if you put your all into every exam you took". You looked away from him, defeated and embarrassed. Nobody knew you better than Fuutaro and you knew that he was right, you never took exams seriously and never tried, so you always floated between the top 10-20 ranking.

"I get it, I get it man, have I gotta only got 50% or what?" You asked, already probably knowing what he was going to say next.

"I want you to get above 90%!" Fuutaro looked sternly "That's the only way you're continuing to come here with me.

The girls all gasped in unison

Third Person Perspective

The girls all watched you both in shock. The realm of 90% was a fairy-tale to them.

"Uesugi is kinda harsh on Y/N don't you think?" Yotsuba whispered to the others

"Mmm apparently they've known each other for years." Ichika said in response, attracting the girls eyes

Itsuki put her glasses on. "How do you know that Ichika?"

"It's obvious just due to the way they act around each other compared to us, but I asked a boy in my class if that was the case, he didn't really know either of them too well but everyone has known they've been friends for a while"

Nino looked longingly towards Y/N. "That dummy, there's a lot more to him than I initially thought. His reasoning for doing things and the way he acts in general is really strange. As far as I know, father is only paying for one tutor, so besides helping Fuutaro settle in here, why does he look so serious now that Fuutaro may not let him come with him anymore? It looks like he wants to keep coming here every session, N-Not that I particularly have a p-problem with it or anything" She blushes as she thinks of that last part, causing Ichika to notice she's staring at Y/N.

"Fuuuuu" The eldest sister blows into Nino's ear making her yelp.

"Kya- Ichika, what was that for.

"You're staring"

"N-No I wasn't, I just want to start this test already" Nino Scoffed, ripping her eyes away from Y/N.

Y/N POV

You let out a deep sigh, as you glance towards the girls, and then fix your gaze on the test paper. The girls were all watching you, breathlessly, waiting for you to give your response.

"Alright" You simply reply. You roll up the sleeves on your jacket, preparing to start. "Actually" you mutter to yourself, you take off your jacket to fully prepare yourself. You look towards Nino.

"Where can I put this" holding your jacket out towards her

She takes the jacket from you, "I'll just keep it here" as she places it on the sofa between her and Ichika.

Speaking of Ichika, you looked towards her and she had a devils grin on her face, like she was about to do something in typical Ichika fashion.

"Sis, Y/N gave you the jacket so you should wear it" Ichika stated, throwing the jacket over Nino's back

Nino then looks at you, as she's too flustered to answer.

"Go for it, It's all yours" you simply gesture

"I-I guess I may as well" Nino declared, face completely flushed.

"Alright, Enough stalling everyone" Fuutaro raised his voice "No Talking, No Headphones, No looking at anyone else's test. BEGIN!".

He then pulls a chair from the dining area and sits in front of them to watch out for anyone cheating. He's taking this way more serious than you were, which you guess made sense as you weren't getting paid, and you weren't technically their tutor or even supposed to be there.

You flicked through the entire test before beginning, as it was made for them it wasn't anything overly complex but it wasn't baby material either. You did promise to give this test you're all and it may be a good opportunity to show your skills off to Nino..... and the others.

The test was lots of multiple choice had a few written questions too. There were 50 questions in total, split evenly between: Maths, English, Science, Japanese and Social Studies. Out of those subjects, Social studies was probably your weakest area, you didn't find it hard per se but it was just the subject you always scored the lowest on. 20 minutes into the test and you were on question 35 already, so far the test had been pretty run of the mill and nothing challenging had come up. 10 minutes later you had finished the test. After an intentionally loud and obnoxious sigh of relief you flicked through the test quickly one last time, before standing up and giving it to Fuutaro without saying a word.

You then stretched your arms and back out. You plug in your earbuds, then enter the kitchen and help yourself to a glass of water before moving out onto the balcony while you glance at everyone's test papers.

The furthest ahead was Miku, which caught you by surprise, at 35 minutes into the test, she was on question 40 which was some damn good pace. Itsuki was on question 37 and looked extremely determined, Ichika on question 31 and tapping the end of her pen to her cheek, likely trying to think of an answer, Yotsuba was on question 29 looking like her brain had just blown a fuse, and Nino was on question 34, but she looked calm. Nino noticed you looking at her so she looked up at you, you simply gave her a smile and made your way to the balcony.

20 minutes later everyone had finished their tests, and Fuutaro was in the process of marking all of them. You return to the kitchen, washing up your used glass when Itsuki approaches you.

"Hey Itsuki, how did you find the test?"

She looked off in the distance as if trying to distract herself from the test

"L-Let's let the results dictate that" she looked doubtful in her abilities

"Fair Enough, do you have any ideas for a career you wanna do in the future?"

"Why do you ask?"

"Besides maybe Miku, you're the quint I know the least about, so I thought I'd ask, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to though" You said, turning away from her and reaching into the cupboard to put the glass back.

"I want to be a Teacher"

You look at her in shock for a second but realise it probably comes off as rude. "Any particular reason?"

"I-I don't feel comfortable telling you yet, sorry Y/N"

"No worries, there's no rush, but I think you might have what it takes"

"Really!?" her eyes light up like rhinestones. "What makes you say that?"

"After I finished, I saw you with a really determined look on your face, I could immediately tell that you cared a lot about your studies, even if you didn't want us to tutor you. You have a strong drive Itsuki" you reply warmly. The smile on her face is too precious right now.

"Hey Everyone! Gather Round!" Fuutaro yells from the front room. You and Itsuki go towards the action, you feel like you've closed the gap between you and Itsuki today which makes today worth it at least.

The girls sit around the table anxiously while you sit behind Nino on the sofa, why sit there? who knows, Anyway, Fuutaro has everyone's test in his hand when he begins to speak.

"You all passed" he says straight up, you and the girls are at a loss for words. "Oh, I meant you all passed 1 subject each, you all failed the test" and there it was, classic Uesugi Fuutaro.

"What did Y/N score?" Ichika asked hopeful

"97%"

The girls all jump up and turn to you.

"Wow Y/N, congratulations" Miku said dimly, you think the contrast in our scores may have soured her slightly. Speaking of sour...

"Hey Y/N!" Nino now stood towering over you, with her arm fully outstretched and finger almost touching your nose. "Why did you never tell me you were so smart?"

"Why would I bother to mention it, if I'm here to tutor you, did you think I'd be stupid or something?" Rhetorical question from you once again.

Nino turned towards Fuutaro "Uesugi, what subject did he miss marks in?"

Fuutaro looked around Nino at you, signalling approval, You simply lean back on the sofa and gesture your hand out towards him.

"Social Studies, that's where he lost the last 3%"

"Knew it" you said, taking the paper from Fuutaro, you skimmed through to the back, knowing exactly what question it was. Fuutaro handed back the papers to the respective girl and 4 of them huddled together with Fuutaro to look at the answers.

"Hey, Let me see!" Nino demanded as she jumped down next to you on the sofa, for some reason she was being really aggressive now, which you didn't mind. She was leaning up against you completely, looking at your test paper in awe, completely unaware as to what she was doing. Nino was a well-endowed girl so as a result of that, you felt the volume of her two biggest blessings pressed against your arm. As much as you could keep up a calm demeanour on the outside, on the inside, the little monkeys in your head were going crazy, this may have been the first time she got you, without her even intending to. On the outside you were now blushing, Nino happened to have noticed this

"What? Getting excited?" She smirked as devilish as Ichika did, they were definitely sisters alright.

You smirked back at her, "Of course I am, I'm lucky to have such as beautiful girl be so close to me" You said as you leaned into her more intentionally.

She jumped and created distance between you, and then looked away from you towards her own test "Dummy" she muttered loud enough for you to hear.

The girls and Fuutaro had finished looking at their test results and we decided to call it a day, it was getting late and we knew we'd be coming back soon. We say our goodbye and both exit the apartment.

"Hey" Fuutaro turns to you "I think we might be able to pull this off"

"Huh- you're way more optimistic now, how comes?" you reply quizzically.

"They each excel at one subject individually which being weak in the others, we can use that to our advantage"

We then enter the elevator, discussing plans about how we were gonna tutor them all, we weren't going to go every single day, just a few times a week. You eventually exit the building with Fuutaro and both make your separate ways home, as Fuutaro lives in a different direction than you do.

On the way home, you couldn't get Nino out of your head, what happened today genuinely made you nervous but you knew you had to keep up your guard around her. You noticed she seemed less Tsundere-like today and a bit more forward and confident which was interesting to you. It was going to be about a week or so until the next study session so you decided to not stress about Nino too much and instead turned your attention to the tutoring situation as a whole. Miku and Itsuki seemed reluctant to continue studying so you were going to have to figure out a plan of action regarding them, Nino you hoped would co-operate if you kept showing up, Yotsuba and Ichika seemed willing to attend the session which was a weight off of your shoulders.

Speaking of shoulders, you remembered Saturday was your gym day, so you had that to look forward to in a few days.

Little would you know, what luck would fall upon you on that day...

Shorter chapter so apologies about that, progress is going well, I'm trying to string some ideas together for chapters after chapter 8. No chance I'm gonna stop here tho, we're going all the way.

Also I'm thinking of ordering some Nino stickers to put on my PC, should I do it?
