EVERA

I snapped out of my thoughts and ended my talk with Evie when I felt someone move the loose strand of my hair and put it behind my ear.

I looked at Drayce beside me who is smiling and I felt my stomach fluttering. Dumb butterflies, dumb Drayce and dumb feelings. I cleared my throat and looked away from him.

"Hi, honey." I looked at my father who just spoke. He went to my mother and kissed her on the forehead while my mother chuckled, a smile immediately made it's way over my lips. They're so sweet.

"That should have been us already if you just let me in, I could kiss you every morning in the forehead and show you how big my love is." I heard Drayce speak softly beside me.

My heart thumped inside my chest, hearing what he just said. 'Dump hea—'

"Stop saying dumb things!" Evie cut in with a cry. I immediately removed it from my head and just ignored Drayce. Should I really just let him in? But this butterflies and this feelings are crazy!

It's driving me nuts! Like how much they flatter inside my stomach and how my cheeks heat when he look at me, how I want to just hug and kiss him, but I'm just too shy.

My mother placed the four plates on the table with food in them and sat with my father on the opposite side of me and Drayce.

"Hun, why is our daughter so quiet today?" I heard my father ask and my mother just shrugged before eating. My father also just shrugged it off and began eating too.

I took my spoon and also began to eat with Drayce doing the same thing. Our breakfast is very quiet today with just the sound of plates and spoons colliding with each other.

After eating, my mother took our dishes and placed it on the sink before making it wash itself, using her magic. Typical mother.

I felt like I forgot something.. my eyes widened when I forgot to clean the vase and put the roses on it. The roses better be still alive.

I rushed towards my room and went to the bathroom, taking the 6 Red roses and putting it above the drawers. I then took the blue vase and washed it inside the bathroom.

After washing the vase, I walked back to the drawers and placed the roses inside the vase. I can feel someone has been staring at me since earlier but I didn't care since I knew that it was Drayce.

"What do you need?" I asked, turning around to look at him. He just shrugged his shoulders and put on a stunning smile.

DRAYCE

"I'm just wondering what we're gonna do today. I asked her because I'm feeling bored.

"I don't know, maybe just walking around the forest while feeling the fresh air?" She asked. I blinked my eyes many times while looking at her, feeling lost.

"Are we not gonna hunt? Do something? Or maybe help someone do their job? Anything?" I asked her with a hopeful expression. I don't like this way of doing nothing.

I am used to work that I don't even know what to do when I don't have work and I can't do any adventure. I can't even last 30 minutes without work.

My mate just scratched her head while looking anywhere else. I just sighed, knowing that she doesn't have any Idea.

"What about helping the omegas at the pack?" She asked that made me smile happily.

"That's great!" I said with a grin before taking her hand and running out of the house. "So where is the direction?" I asked her and she pointed a little bit on the right.

I nodded at her and held her waist, she was about to protest when I already began soaring through the skies and the clouds while holding her, my wings keeping us steady.

"Oh my Goddess, don't let me fall!" She screamed while holding my arms. I guess I should've warned her before taking her up the skies.

"You think?" I heard Drake ask and I just rolled my eyes. After a few more seconds of flying, I finally saw a big house under me, and I knew it was finally the pack house.

I slowly landed on the ground with my mate who has her eyes closed and also holding my arms tightly.

After landing, she opened her eyes and I heard her let out a relief sigh.

"I'm not scared of flying, but you should have warned me so I could hold onto you better. But at least I didn't fall." She said with a little bit of an upset tone. I just gave her an apologetic smile.

"I'm sorry, I was just too excited to work." I told her, she just let out sigh and held my hand before walking towards the pack house.

"Miss Evera?" We heard a voice of a young woman ask, Evera turned her head to look at the girl and smiled.

"Hi, Yanna." My mate greeted her. The girl named Yanna smiled.

"Are you here to find Mister Nixon and Mister Lake? They are still in the meeting room with the Alpha." The girl Yanna said to Evera. Evera just shook her head softly and held up her other hand that was not holding mine.

"We are here to help the omegas." My mate said but Yanna looked at her with a confused expression and shook her head.

"Miss Evera, I'm sorry, but we did tell you that you can't work. And besides, there are a lot of omegas here and they can finish their job in just a short time." Yanna said that made me frown. I heard my mate sigh beside.

"Please, Yanna. My mate also want to help them." My mate begged softly. Who even is this Yanna girl that is making my mate beg?

"Mate?" She asked and that's when her gaze shifted towards me and she looked at me up and down before pointing at my body. "Him?" She asked.

"Yes. Him." I heard Evera say before holding my hand.

"What race is he? He smells stran—" Before the Yanna girl could complete her sentence, a familiar voice cut in.

"Evera, Drayce. You're here?" Nixon said with a smile while walking towards us.

"Nixon!" My mate immediately shouted and waved lightly. I guess I'm the only one here who is not talking.

Nixon went towards us and motioned for Yanna to walk away. Yanna took one last glance at me and Evera before bowing at Nixon and walking away.

"What brings the two of you here?" He asked with a questioning gaze. Before I could open my mouth to speak, my mate spoke before I could once again.

"Drayce want to work because he isn't used to getting bored, but Yanna won't let us help the oamegas." My mate said. Nixon glanced at the direction where Yanna walked away and sighed.

"Yanna and her hate for omegas," Nixon said before shaking his head. "Well, my father ordered us to hunt. Wanna help then?" Nixon said as soon as many people were walking towards our direction.

"Sounds fun." I heard Evera say beside me. I looked at her and her face is now plastered with a smile. Well, it's always fun to hunt.

"Sure then, let's go princess, and you too quiet Drayce." I blinked at Nixon when he called me that.

"It isn't my fault. She kept on speaking before I could." I said while rolling my eyes.

Nixon just smiled at me before walking together with the hunters following behind us. As a dragon king, I always needed to learn about other creatures and how they put ranks in order and how you can recognize them.

I know they are hunters because of their aura and the brown uniform they are wearing which is oversized, it is made for their human form and wolf form, so when they shift, their clothing won't get ripped.

It is also stretchy, in case their wolf is larger. Hunters needed to hunt in wolf form to catch easier, they don't use guns because they think it is only for human hunters.

In the dragon realm, our ranks are of course different than the werewolves. Kings and Queens which is me and Evera. Then we have the Prince when we get a child to be the heir.

Then the lord paramount or warden, which is my brother, Logan. He is also the vice-king. Then we have the high lord. They are the third rank and are also respected by ranks that are lower than them. Then we have the lords, they are the people under the high lord, of course.

Then there are the landed knights, they are the knights of the 5 Villages in my kingdom. There are 3 positions for them. The marchers, guarders, and catchers.

And the Warriors are under the knights who also get to protect the normal ranked dragons or low-ranked dragons. And of course the village too. Do you get it?
