"You look fucking constipated."

"You look like you're suffering diarrhoea."

"You look like diarrhoea suffered from you."

"Shut up, the both of you."

Usually, Tobias would not intervene but not at that moment, he was tensed.

Plans had changed and the guys were going to meet them in the house then escort them to the court. He had made sure they were armed and prepared for anything and everything that could happen. For all he knew, the entire court session might be a trap.

"Huh, they actually made it on time." Varo said from his position at the window as he peeped through the blinds.

Tobias nodded. "Go meet them outside and introduce them to Clara. Though sure she already knows most of them." He instructed, looking at his watch.

They had at least an hour before her trial started and much time had already been wasted trying to wake Alvaro whose body clock believed three in the morning was an appropriate time to fall asleep.

"Sure thing." The man called, beckoning Clara to follow him outside.

Tobias pulled out a small revolver from his suit's inner pockets and toyed with it before keeping it back in.

The weight and size was just moderate and could easily be hidden in plain sight. It was perfect for her.

"I'm sorry I took so long. I couldn't find my glasses." She suddenly called from the top of the stairs, hastily making her way down.

"Did you find them? You look beautiful by the way." He managed to keep a cool voice, hiding the nervousness in his voice as it was the first time he was speaking to her since the last night.

She didn't seem like she cared or dwelled on it though.

"Yeah I found it." Eniola said with a small smile.

"Alright. I wanted to give you something. If you ever have to use it..." He brought out the small gun. "... Do not hesitate."

He knew the small gasp from her was of surprise and not of shock. She had handled guns before. Her father had made sure Tobias took her to target practice and he had gifted her one on her eighteenth birthday. He didn't want to think about what had happened to it.

"I don't think I remember how to use one." She said quietly as she took it from him, pointing it in a random direction.

He cautiously covered her hand with his own, making sure she was not on the trigger. "It's not difficult to use. Just remove the safety, aim and pull the trigger. May I?"

"Uhm, sure."

Tobias tucked the gun right in the waistband of her skirt then tied the coat securely around it, concealing it. "There. I honestly hope it does not come to this but we can never be too cautious. And I've got your back if anything comes up."

"I got you too. I have a fucking gun now." She grinned proudly and he couldn't help but smile. At least there was no awkward air around them.

"Of course you do. Let's go now. The guys are outside." He said and she nodded strapping her handbag over her shoulder. The entire green theme she was going for matched his dark suit. Something told him it was deliberate.

"They're here? That's so cool." She beamed pulling her scarf over her chin as he opened the door for her.

It was getting colder by the minute. He was glad his last minute accessory was a black coat.

"Oh fuck, that's her?" A voice whispered loudly causing him to groan.

She turned after locking her door and tucking the key in her bag.

"Language, Luis." He cautioned but was cut off by an excited Eniola.

"Hello!"

The blue head just gawked at her with Mateo being the only one with human decency to walk up to her.

"Hola, I'm Mateo. Mateo Hinata." The brown haired man with almond-shaped eyes greeted, taking her gloved hands in his. "It's nice to meet you."

"Stop hogging the woman, Mateo." A big man roughly shoved Mateo away. "I am Riccardo Hinata. Mateo's brother." He gently took her hand as well with her visibly gulping.

Tobias couldn't blame her. Riccardo was huge. Probably around 6'7.

"H-hi."

"Excuse me, kind sir but I will like to introduce myself to the fucking woman. No offence, Eniola. The only fucking you are is fucking hot. I mean Jesus Christ you're hot. Have you seen yourself? Can I do your hair sometime? I barely do hair for people of colour and let me tell you, shit gets really boring." Luis ranted, his eyes unnaturally purple as they watched her in amazement. You would think he has never been with a black woman and his ex-wife was black.

"You don't look so bad yourself. And fuck yeah. Do you do braids?" Eniola laughed easily.

There was no lie in the first sentence.

Luis was a tall man with dyed blue hair that was long enough to be put in a small bun with a couple of tattoos around his neck and impeccable fashion sense. A quality he seriously rivaled with Varo in. Though Tobias was not sure the man remembered his real eye colour.

"Definitely. I'm planning to get a salon in Queens. Visit sometime—" The man was suddenly shoved, making him stumbled a few steps away. "The fuck, Franco?"

"Ehehe. Hola, I'm Franco. Nice to meet you, nigga." Their eyes all widened at at the rainbow buzz cut man.

He seemed to be mixed race but was still on the paper side as long as Eniola could see.

"What?"

"Luis, get your boy away from her." Miguel quickly intervened taking Eniola's hands too. "I apologize. He's not racist. Just stupid and incredibly autistic. I promise he means no harm. I'm Miguel by the way." She nodded and glanced at Franco who wondered why the people were so shocked.

Luis pulled him to the car by his ear.

"Can I have my turn now?" A new voice called from behind him and they turned to reveal Lucado. The boy was standing behind him with a small box of chocolates.

"Sure kid." Miguel answered as the boy smiled and walked up to Enny.

"Ho- hi." He caught himself, subtly glancing at Tobias before continuing. "I am Lucado Nero. It's really good to meet you, Dona Eniola." He said, a bit too proud of his vocabulary.

The way he looked so young and yet so matured at the same time always confused Tobias.

"Aww, thank you. It's good to meet you to." She smiled too, accepting it from him.

His curly hair bounced on his head as he nodded and greeted at his boss. "Morning Jefe."

"Luca. Safe trip?"

"Yes, thank you."

Their conversations had always been light-hearted and brief mainly because Tobias never knew what else to say. It was like that for everyone.

"Alright. Now that we all know who is who, let's get going." He clapped his cold hands together and prepared to give instructions. "There are five cars... And I don't know why." He looked at the vehicles and shook his head.

His men were something else.

"I'll be driving with my driver, Robert—" Bob waved from the driver's seat. "And Eniola. Alvaro, Clara and Luca will be in a car. Five of you will take two cars and leave the Porsche here because I trust nobody to drive it." He finished and they all nodded, heading to their respective vehicles.

Later, he was going to ask Varo how his Porsche had transported itself from Europe to Eniola's yard.

"Oh man, this is gonna be like those sick convoys Robert De Niro used to have in his movies." Franco said excitedly as Luis just shook his head and slammed the car door. "See you on the other side, nigga!"

"Shut your stupid ass off and lay off the Molly, dumb ass!"

"You think I need drugs to be this awesome? I'm like Barney fucking Stinson."

Luis clenched his fist before getting into the driver's seat.

"Are they all armed?" Enny spoke up as Tobias opened the door for her. "Thank you."

"They are." He answered as he slid in too.

"Even Franco?"

"Unfortunately." He sighed rubbing his bare hands together. He would have grabbed a pair of gloves at least.

"Please turn on the heater, Bob?" Eniola requested and the man just hummed and started the car.

The day was finally in motion.

Tobias wondered if Davis or Berlusconi would be at the court. What would he do if he saw any of them? Order for his men to open fire? Signal for them to meet in a private place? Ignore him? No, he was a threat.

"Ah, fuck." Eniola muttered and he looked up to see what caused it.

There were a whole bunch of media reporters right outside the gate. He also saw Riccardo and a few other men push the stubborn paparazzi out of the way once the automatic gates slid open.

"Hi, Faheem!" Eniola rolled down her window to greet the security guard who let them out.

"Miss Gillian. Good luck!"

The four cars had easy access through the crowd of people as they had difficulty in singling out the car that contained Eniola.

"That wasn't difficult." She quietly commended the work of his men and he wordlessly agreed.

They had just 40 minutes until the trial started. He calculated that it would take at most ten minutes to get there and he and Varo would have at least twenty minutes to know the judge and jury and whoever was prosecuting. If he had to, he would not hesitate to sign a few checks.

"You're quiet. Are you thinking about what I said yesterday? I told you we could talk about it when we were done with the entire mess." She said lightly and he did his best to stop his knee from jerking as she placed her gloved hand on it.

"I— Alright." It was no use bothering her with the exact thing he was thinking about. He wanted her to enjoy a bit of calmness.

The first thing he could do would be seclude Davis from the public. If he would get him to talk then meet the same fate as Paulo then he had no problem with it. A big part of him knew it was not going to be easy.

According to Paulo, Davis seemed to be a big part of Berlusconi's plan and the man had his own men too. He could easily have a legal cover.

Tobias suspected he was a head of a police force or something of that form.

"We're here, sir." He felt the small jerk in Enny's hand as she heard the driver's voice and gingerly took her hand in his. She was anxious.

"You'll be alright. I've got you." He said reassuringly, gently squeezing her knuckles and she nodded.

"Thank you." She replied just as Bob opened the door for them.

Tobias was glad it was a small court and the media were not let into the courtyard. He was sure there were a few disguised paparazzi as he saw some people discreetly taking pictures of them.

"I'll be right back." Varo quickly called jogging past them and into the court with Clara speed-walking after him.

"The man has made me his assistant." She grumbled as she held a firm grip on his briefcase.

"I'm definitely rooting for Clavaro or Claro. Whichever is fine." Eniola said, smiling.

"I forgot how cold New York could be." Luis appeared behind them as he blew into his already covered hands.

"So fucking cold." Miguel added too, tucking his long black hair into his beanie. "I need a haircut too."

"You're paying me this time." Luis retorted and Miguel let out a loud laughter, drawing attention to the small group.

"You fucking wish." Miguel bit back and Mateo interfered before the two would start bickering.

"I'll pay for it."

Luca suddenly sidestepped Eniola, making her stumble closer to the group.

"Sniper, Jefe." Luca subtly muttered, away from the hearing of the other men. Tobias knew he felt something different immediately they stepped out of the car.

"Where?"

"Seven o'clock." The boy answered quietly and Tobias nodded without looking.

He doubted they would try anything. It seemed like a threat and if his hunch was right about then doing it for the money, they had no way to get it if she was dead.

Tobias would not be surprised if they knew he came with people. It would be a literally bloodbath if any trigger went off. Instead, he was more concerned with not verifying Varo's claims that the house was rigged.

"Gato, you're not going to fucking believe this." Varo suddenly appeared. He had taken off his coat and sling it over his shoulder. Clara was a heaving mess behind him.

"What did you find out, Varo?"

"Firstly, I know about two people from the jury. They both owe me favours so that's settled. Secondly, I found Christopher Davis. He's the head of the NYPD. The entire fucking department. Can you imagine that shit?" Alvaro silently exclaimed and he just blinked.

"It was an afterthought, yes—"

"That's not all, boss." Varo butted in and Tobias leveled him with a look.

"What else, Varo?"

"You're not gonna believe this too but—"

"For God's sake, Varo just talk!" Eniola cut in impatiently. The other men would not dare interrupt Varo even when he was spewing nonsense.

They feared him too much but it was obvious Eniola couldn't care less. If anything, she easily matched his energy.

"Fine, fine." The man paused looking Eniola in the eye. "I asked around for the sitting judge and they said he was yet to arrive but I got a name at least. When I tell you it shocked—"

"I swear to God, Montez."

"The judge is Berlusconi."
