ENIOLA
She was more than relieved that Alvaro and Tobias had settled their differences. She even tried to hide her surprised when she found out what caused the conflict.
Alvaro? Taking care of a child?
She couldn't believe he was willing to take over responsibility over another living being. In the short time that she had known the man, he did not seem to be one to do so.
She had noticed how Alvaro sulked when Tobias always looked at him like he was about to throw a knife at him and how much happier they both had been since they resolved their issues.
They were a cute duo.
Eniola changed into her pajamas (one of Tobias's many shirts) and left the closet.
She met Tobias leaning over the balcony, deep in thought with a half full wine glass. He barely paid attention to the slushing pale yellow liquid as he stirred the glass in his hand. What was he thinking about?
He had told her about Gustavo and the recent developments but said nothing about his plans and with what she saw, it seemed like it was bothering him.
She watched as the man tugged at his hair before brushing it off his forehead then taking a sip from his cup. If she was doing that kind of thinking, she'd opt for whiskey.
The whites in the hair were fading and he was beginning to have very curly hair with ashy tips. She was sure that if she pulled at it, it would go far below his ears where it seemed to stop.
The fingers on his free hand tapped on the polished railings due to habit.
She watched as they flexed, retracted and went back to his baby hairs then to the ones hovering over his left ear.
He would need to get a haircut soon.
Eniola wondered which he would get.
Tobias finally realized her presence as he gestured at her to come closer to him with a small smile and she wasted no time in abiding.
However, she knew that the smile was fake.
"Hello." She said quietly as she joined him. Her shoulders grazed his upper arm, reminding her that she was painfully short.
"Hello." He smiled back to her, looking back at the wide space below them.
It was a beautiful scenery.
The small warm lights lit up the paths and fountain. Bigger lamps shedded light on the cars and two silhouettes—
"Is that?" She watched as Alvaro hopped off the boot of his new car just as Clara reached him.
Clara punched Alvaro in a not so playful manner as she stomped to the passenger's seat, helping herself into the car and Alvaro threw his head back in laughter before joining her.
They stalled a bit before driving away. Luckily, the extravagant view from the balcony allowed them see as the gates slid open for the two mischievous people.
"Alvaro and Clara? They've been doing that for the past week." Tobias answered with a small smile.
The smile had hardly left his face all day.
"I just hope Varo isn't causing trouble." He added and she hummed in reply. If they did, they could always get out.
"Are you alright?" She asked, changing the topic. His beautiful brows curved in confusion before he answered.
"I am. Why?" She simply shrugged at his question. His smiles and the soft ways he handled her was a bit concerning.
The last time he had been that way, he was keeping an awful lot from her.
"You seem like you're trying hard to hide something from me." True to her suspicions, his smile fell.
Tobias sighed and took another sip. It was obvious that what he wanted to share with her was going to be hefty.
"I've been thinking about Luca." She sucked in a breath as he mentioned his name.
Alvaro had shared a piece of information with her earlier that day.
"I shot him. Repeatedly." Alvaro answered casually as he looked over the company's incorporation documents.
They had been doing exactly that for the past hour while Mateo settled things with the financial auditors. Luckily, Stephen walking rather comfortably in Anthony's shoes and was doing a great job in keeping the company together.
Unfortunately, she had a lot of catching up to do. There had been a lot of progresses but she had learnt that they also had a new investor; A man from Italy.
The proposal the man's lawyer had sent was rather surprising. It was not everyday someone offered up a sum of money that was worth almost one fourth of her business. The Anthony 2.0 had advised her to meet with him by the start of the next year.
They were currently reorganizing the documents and removing some files that included Anthony Baragas's name. She tried to pretend she was not affected seeing him as her 'next of kin' and 'financial manager' in most of them.
"Don't you feel bad about it?" She watched as he shook his head as if trying to convince himself.
"He had it coming."
"But you loved him. You must at least feel heartbroken."
"Now, you're beginning to sound like Clara." He answered tiredly, leaning into her chair while she flipped over random pages of documents sprawled out on the table.
"Well didn't you love him?" She pushed, watching as his pretty dark pink lips form a pout in thought.
"If it were up to me, I would have traded my life for his. How's that for love?"
She stacked the unnecessary papers close to the shredder and turned to face Alvaro.
His long fingers tugged at his already loose collar on his satin shirt, the small string of gold chain peeking from within. The black shirt matched his suede suit whose blazer he had long abandoned and his neatly styled hair. The lawyer had actually curled his hair and tucked it at the side of his face with a gold hairpin that had a flower print design.
He didn't need her to tell him he looked good. He already knew.
He had complained that the office was too small and that he couldn't get a good view of the outside.
She never cared enough to stay there so she did not judge.
He kissed his teeth in irritation.
"Feeling 'bad' is an understatement." He started, getting her by surprise.
She did not think he would want to discuss it with her.
"Clara said it's good to talk to people about my 'feelings' and be more 'open'." Eniola almost laughed at how childish he looked as he air quoted them.
He must really like the woman if he was making attempts to follow her advice.
He glanced at his gold watch before looking back at her.
"But there are things you just have to do and I know Gato told you about some of them." She nodded in agreement. "I won't lie, I feel something I could liken to regret when I see Luca trying to fill his brother's shoes. Felicio was... He was the 'Ghost'. You know you're fucked when he receives a black envelope with your name in gold print. He was just that good."
Varo's fingers drummed on the plastic binding on the file before he exhaled. She noticed his breath was uneven.
"He received the wrong letter, but accepted the job anyway." His eyes met with hers. They matched in color but somehow, his were prettier. "I would have fought wars for him... But I couldn't let Tobias be on the rival's battlefront. Do I regret what I did? Yes but when I see you and him together and when he gives you that stupid smile for no fucking reason? It makes the guilt a bit easier to bear.
"Are you not scared?" He asked her. He must have seen the confusion on her face as he explained the question. "As much as I try to ignore it, I see a bit of fear and hesitation in the way Clara looks at me. I do my best to distract her."
He smiled oddly, seemingly at an inside joke.
"And you on the other hand..." He trailed off. "Tell me, why does it thrill you?"
"What?"
He laughed lightly at her while she frowned.
"No creas que no me di cuenta. It's fun for you." Don't think I didn't notice. Varo replied. "Tobias, the guns, the deaths. Traumatizing? Yes. But exciting? Extremely. It even makes me hard sometimes. So I don't entirely blame you." She felt cornered as he smirked.
He knew he was right.
The life was so different from her boring routines. The endless parties, alcohol and sex did not measure up to what she was feeling living on the edge of uncertainty.
"I see how your eyes lit up as I called Gato's name. Cute." Varo repositioned himself in his seat after fishing out a pack of cigarettes from his inner jacket.
She accepted a stick from him and wasted no time in lighting it up.
"What I'm saying is, you would have to be fucking careful." His voice darkened for a second.
"What are you talking about?" He shrugged at her question, his creepy smile wrinkling his eyes and her eyes widened in realization; Vittore was right.
Alvaro was mentally unstable.
"Don't play dumb, ángel. Everybody saw the little charade you played with Lothario." He replied as he flicked the ash off the cigarette and onto a discarded piece of paper.
She tried to mask her surprise with an undisturbed look but he chuckled even more.
"The man is gay, Gillian." He dropped flatly.
She almost had a whiplash from her quickly she turned her head to the man. How on earth did he find out?
"Vittore is attracted to me. Who knew?" He asked then scoffed. "Well, I won't say he was the happiest when I and Felicio were together but sure, whatever. He couldn't stop his mouth from running when I touched his dick..." It seemed he was talking to himself at that point.
"What's your point?" She asked. "Do you just want to gloat about cheating on Clara?" Her questions barely raised a reaction from Alvaro.
"Cheating? Ah, what does cheating have to do with this?"
Eniola blinked. "Uh, you said you touched him—"
Alvaro was trying to hold in laughter by now. "If it makes you feel better, I told Clara all about it. Feel free to ask her."
"Right..."
He nodded, slowly rising to his feet. "I'm just telling you to be careful. I'm not the most friendly person when I am ticked off." He said calmly. "And to answer your previous question, Felicio's death broke me."
"Okay..." She tried to shake off the uneasiness in her voice as he leaned closer to her, his free hand pushing her hair out of her face.
He was way too close for comfort.
She watched as his hand withdrew to his pocket pocket and to her shock, he withdrew a small gun.
"I do not tolerate people messing with Tobias, Miel. If I can kill Felicio, what makes you think I can't make you disappear?" She too began to reach for the gun Tobias had helped her strap at her belt loop.
Thankfully, her trenchcoat shielded the entire thing.
It all happened so quickly as she drew the gun out and pointed it at Alvaro who already gave her a warm welcome to the thin nozzle of his gold plated gun.
"Nuh uh, you're a bit too slow." He said with a small smile. Seeing her almost piss herself was exciting the man.
"What the fuck, Varo?!" She exclaimed while he just laughed and cocked the gun. "What the fucking fuck?!"
Eniola cocked hers as well.
"Tobias will fucking kill you if you hurt me." His eyes were mocking her, daring her to do more. The entire situation was entertaining to him.
He was truly a mad man.
"He'll get over it." He said nonchalantly and pulled the trigger.
She pathetically dropped her gun as her hands flew to her head, where she thought he had shot her but was surprised to see their was nothing there.
"Behind you, Einstein." He said in a bored tone as he dropped back into his seat and lit another cigarette like nothing happened.
Behind her, a tiny bullet hole dotted the wall. It would have been unnoticeable if it did not have multiple cracks that led to the center like a spider's web.
"What the fuck was that for?!"
"Target practice. You want another cig? You dropped yours."
"You're a mad person."
He didn't seem to disagree as he handed her the pack. "Still planning on seeing Francis after this?"
"Her name is Francine."
Eniola watched Tobias studied the glass with keen interest while she pouted with envy. She preferred him to look at her like that.
She gently reached over to the glass and plucked it from his grasp. The cold drink had gone warm.
Holding back a grimace, she dipped it into her mouth.
"Oh, well you're welcome." He said quietly while she just laughed and placed it aside.
She pressed into him for a moment, smelling his soft vanilla cologne. She loved how everything about him was so warm and delicate. A stark contrast to all the men she had been with.
She hoped he would get the hint and wrap his hands around her like he had done earlier.
Luckily, he did.
Eniola felt his fingers straighten her satin bonnet before running down her back.
"What have you been thinking about that concerns Luca?" She asked, not bothering to look at him. She already knew he had the tiniest frown on his beautiful lips.
"A lot of things. I just don't want to make the same mistake again." She nodded in his chest while he continued. "And unlike Felicio, I actually care about Luca. I don't think I'll forgive myself if something terrible happens to him."
She pulled away for a second to study his face. She was right, he had a small frown and there were slight lines on his forehead. Taking her newly done fingernails, she tried to soothe them.
"So what are you going to do?" Her question was met with a sigh.
The last thing she wanted to do was push him or suggest anything that would make Luca's situation worse. The boy already looked like he was carrying all five stages of grief on his shoulders. Though, a small part of him still held some resentment toward him.
"I decided to send him to the council in Madrid so they can decide what to do with him. And yes, death is out of the question." His last sentence did not ease her worries.
She knew Tobias could be creative with his punishments. The council or whatever he called them could be a lot worse.
"Can't you just forgive him or something?" She asked and he shook his head.
"I'm not a dictator. There are rules. The council makes the rules." Tobia replied, his hands wandering to her side as he drew small circles with his fingers.
She bit down her tongue to prevent a certain sound from escaping.
"Don't you choose the council or something?"
"The council was there before me. They are the second generation of Cinco Grande— my father's peers." She nodded in understanding.
"So you'll be a part of them later?"
"Yes. When I have a replacement." Her mind traveled to when he had asked her about her ten year plan.
"Replacement as in an heir?" His nod confirmed her thoughts. She wondered if he wanted children.
She wouldn't mind that too. Babies were cute.
"Is Alvaro's daughter an heir or is it a male thing?"
"Gender does not matter. If she grows up to want the title, I have nothing against it." He answered calmly.
What if their own children wanted it too?
Who said that?
"What would your kids think?" She asked instead and he shrugged.
"Alvaro accepted being second. They shouldn't have a problem with it. And besides I don't think I'd want them to be deeply invested in the family."
"Okay..." So our kids will have a normal life? Check. "Is there any pressure on you to... You know, get an heir or something? Nobody really knows about Varo's kid yet." Tobias shook his head at the question.
"There isn't any pressure for providing an heir and if there was, I could easily say no or declare myself a monk." She finally laughed when she realised it was his poor attempt of cracking a joke. "Why these questions anyway?"
His beautiful eyes met hers in the dim light and she smiled at how nice they looked. He had changed so much since he first arrived.
Reaching his head, she gently pulled at a lone strand and beamed when it touched the bridge of his nose. The curly hair had been deceiving her!
"I'm just curious." Eniola replied while he watched her quietly. She had gotten almost zero reaction from her action save for his flushed cheeks.
"Okay. Well, I'll be willing to answer them."
"So Alvaro killed Felicio for you?" His hand stiffened for a moment before he spoke.
"Can we not discuss that right now? I'm comfortable like this." She glanced at his cold eyes and decided to let it go.
She wanted a kiss anyway.
"Okay..." She breathed in his fragrance again before speaking again. "Do you regret going that far with me yesterday?"
"No, why would I?" She tried to shrug nonchalantly at his question.
"I don't know. I had said I'd give you space and this," She looked down between the two of them, "this isn't space."
He chuckled lightly but decided to say nothing. Everything about the man was addictive. Even his laugh.
"I'll never know what happening in your head, would I?" She asked, her fingers nipping at the light hairs at the back of his neck.
"We both know it's better you don't." His lips were the most inviting. "Can I kiss you?"
"I thought you'd never ask."
As usual, he took her breath away. His cold lips quickly warmed up as they moved slowly against her pierced ones. She felt content pressing her hold on the nape of his neck. She was satisfied.
The man would be the end of her and he didn't even know it.
His teeth grazed against her bottom lip as she arched her back for him. His hot mouth moved to her jawline, kissing every layer of skin on the way there while she moaned like an idiot.
For some reason, his hands were still respectfully above her hip.
She pushed her body into his when he suddenly bit her jaw. He was going to leave hickeys everywhere like he had done the previous night.
Not that she minded.
Anyway...
She hummed in delight when she heard his heart beating against hers. It felt even better being pressed against the railing.
Anybody that walked by and looked up would definitely see them. She didn't care.
"Tobi—" His lips caught hers again, sliding his tongue into her mouth.
She needed more of it. More of him.
She hardly felt any warmth from his body as his hard chest pressed against her full one. The clothes were obstacles.
"Let's go to the bed, please." She pleaded desperately as she pulled away from him.
She watched his lust blinded eyes conflict each other and silently prayed he would agree.
"Please..." She quickly grabbed a hand that was threatening to leave her waist.
"Fuego..."
His voice did not sound as deep as they did when he was turned on so she quickly drew him into another kiss, purposely making it wet enough to have him groaning.
"You'll kill me. Do you know that?" She almost squealed in excitement when he lifted her up by her thighs.
She was not the lightest person yet he handled her like she was nothing.
He gently set her down before resuming what he was doing. His hands supported him as he dipped his head down, pecking her lips slowly traced down her chest.
"Should I take it off?" Her voice was merely a squeak as she watched him kiss her through her light shirt.
"Let me."
"Wait, you first." She pointed at the white hoodie he was wearing and he laughed. "I'll help you then you'd help me." He nodded in agreement, pulling her up so she could help him with ease as she straddled him.
She hoped it would give her enough time to calm her racing heart. He hadn't seen her completely naked before. There was every chance that he had been with supermodels and she was in fact, far from that category.
What if he did not like her body?
"Anytime now." He said lightly and she masked her insecurities with a small smile.
She pulled at the hem of sweatshirt while he assisted her in pulling it over his head.
He was perfect.
His toned body almost glowed in the dim orange lights. The tattoos looked even better for some reason.
Tobias must have sensed her hesitation as the anticipation in his eyes lessened.
"Are you alright, Fuego?" His hand cupped her cheek with concern. She kissed him again, reassuring both of them.
"Why are you so hot?" Fortunately, her questions got a heartily laugh from him as he set his hands on her full hips.
"One of the few times I'm not called pretty." She shook her head stubbornly.
"It's hard calling you pretty when you have all of this." Her fingers slid down his chest, purposely brushing against his nipple. "I mean how the you maintain all these abs?"
"Exercise and eating healthy." He quickly caught her hands when they ventured too far and he placed the back on his chest. "I can sense your hesitation, Fuego. We don't have to go all the way yet." Eniola eyes widened.
Yet. He said 'yet'.
Let's try this again.
"Lie down for me?" She requested while he looked at her with mild confusion.
She rolled her eyes at his confused and pushed him backwards. She was pleased that he easily complied.
"This is... Interesting." Tobias muttered quietly, his eyes almost completely dilated.
"It is." She leaned down to kiss him for the hundredth time that night, inwardly smiling as she felt the slight impatience in his movements.
Her hand stylishly crawled to his neck, grabbing it gently in her grasp as the maintained the kiss. However, she heard the throaty moan that left him when she applied pressure and ran over his bottom lip with her pierced tongue.
Knowing she could draw that reaction from him excited her and with what she was feeling underneath her, he too was excited.
She felt his grip on her hips become painfully tight as he tried to hold her in place and to keep her from grinding on him.
Unfortunately, they had to breathe.
"Wow..." Was all Tobias could say as he stared at her not blinking.
She smiled with pride as she took in his red face and the small smudges of pink around his neck. It's way better than a hickey.
"Yeah." She licked her lips coyly.
Eniola could do it all night.
"How did you—" It seemed he decided against it. "Never mind. Thank you."
Was he thanking her for kissing him? Dork.
"Huh." She pecked him on his lips one last time before attempting to get off of him.
"Stay?" It was not like she was leaving anyways.
"Of course." His hands moved to the back of her neck, pulling her into a slower kiss.
It was soft, just like him. Her complete opposite.
"Do you this with other people?" He suddenly asked and she paused before answering.
"Do I stay in bed to kiss and like this with other people?" She pushed a loose braid out of her face and tucked it back into the bonnet. "No."
"So you haven't—"
"Of course I have. It's usually a fast paced one night stand." She answered easily as Tobias watched her with his usual nonjudgmental eyes. "Have you?"
"Do I have the time?" He asked with a light tone.
"What about Esme?" She questioned jealously.
Unlike him, she never bothered to hide her envy.
"We both didn't have the time."
She pursed her lips together, deciding to trust and was glad that he wanted to spend time with her doing the most meaningless things that meant everything to her.
"I can do this forever." She whispered, kissing him again. She would never get tired of his soft welcoming lips.
"Likewise."
Eniola lazily combed through his hair with her fingers, gently detangling the strands.
"I think it's unfair that only one of us is half naked." He suddenly spoke up, making her giggle.
"Well the top is usually clothed while the sub is naked." She answered easily, her nails circling his ear.
A small diamond stud would look nice on his skin.
"What are you talking about?" She looked at his confused face in disbelief.
"You don't know what it means?" She smiled when he raised a brow.
Adorable.
"How come you kill people for sport, trade drugs, own a multimillion dollar firm and you don't know what sub and doms are?" He frowned at her jab and she leaned in to drop a chaste kiss to satiate him.
"I know what they are... I just do not know how it pertains to us." He had a small blush fanning his face.
"A Dom or Top is the dominant person during sexual activity and the Sub is the submissive person. The context is usually in a BDSM setting. You know, that kind of bondage stuff."
"Of course and how on earth am I the sub?" She shrugged at his question, going back to feeling his face.
"Well you're the one under me..." He rolled his eyes childishly.
"Because I like being under you."
"Would you be on top?"
"Depends."
"On?"
"If you'd try to choke me again."
"But you liked it."
"Of course I did. Who wouldn't?"
"Most men?"
"I'm not most men, I'm Tobias Ferna."
"That was horrible. Don't ever say that again."
"Right, sorry. Kiss me like that again, please?"
And she did.
They spent the next hour kissing and teasing each other on who was the sub and who was the dom.
It seemed like a dream and Eniola hoped she would never have to wake up and if she did, wanted to wake up in his arms the next morning and do it all again.
Which was why she was disappointed when she woke up around midnight to see that he did not have his arms around her like when they had first fallen asleep.

I'll find you.🙂
