Ezra's POV

I finish helping Aurora clean up from dinner.

I walk into the living room but I stop when I see Luca walking over to the couch. I watch as Lily walks down the stairs and starts to walk over to him.

"Oh Luca, I was looking for you." She says before he could sit down. He turns around to face her as she walks over to him.

"Are you still busy?" She tilts her head. He looks at her confused. "You said you were earlier, I just wanted to ask you about something."

Huh he actually listened to me when I said stay away from her... shocking.

"I guess I'm not busy." He shrugs. "Ok good." She smiles. "So I was wondering if you were free tomorrow so we could go to the Eiffel Tower." She continues. "I can't." He responds.

"Oh that's ok, maybe the weekend-" he cuts her off. "I don't want to go to the Eiffel Tower." He says. "You wanted to see it yesterday." She looks at him confused. "Changed my mind." He walks passed her.

"Oh." She says quietly. Well she looks sad... and I feel bad. Great.

I walk over to her. "Are you ok?" I ask. "Ya I'm fine... why?" She questions obviously forcing a smile.

"Are you sure?" I look at her. "I'm fine mom, why would I not be ok." She walks passed me.

"Oh wait." I say as she stops and turns to face me. "I'm going on a second date with Armando." I say. "A second date?" She questions as I nod. "He would like to me you, so do you want to go tomorrow?"

She stares at me for a moment before she looks down. "Ya, that could be fun."

"I know that you want Luc-" she cuts me off. "What time tomorrow?" She asks. "Uh, We haven't figured that out yet." I respond. "Ok, umm Goodnight." She turns away from me and head towards the stairs.

"Goodnight? It's only six o clock?" I say. "Just a little bit tired that's all." She shrugs as she walks up the stairs.

I head back in the kitchen. I see Iris and Aurora sitting down on their phones.

"Has Lily been acting strange?" I ask. They both look up at me. "I mean last night she did have a little bit of an attitude." Iris says. "But when does she not." She continues. "She was giving Roman attitude which was weird." Iris looks at me.

"She did?" I ask as I sit down. "Ya when he was talking about Armando." Iris smiles when she says his name. "Poor boy, give him a break." Aurora rolls her eyes. "I'm sure he's wonderful." She smiles at me.

"He wants to meet Lily." I sigh. "That's good." Aurora says. "Right?" She looks at me. "Ya, but Lily didn't seem to happy about it." I look down. "I'm sure in time she'll get better with the idea that you're going out with someone." Aurora says.

"Or not." Iris shrugs. Aurora immediately slaps her arm. "Hey." She sits up. "That was rude." She rubs her arm.

"I'm sure everything with work out in the end." Aurora smiles. Iris goes to open her mouth. "Don't even think about commenting." She looks at Iris. She nods. "Ok."

I stand up. "I'm going to head up to my room." I say. "I see you guys in the morning." I smile. "Goodnight honey." Aurora smiles back at me.

I walk out of the kitchen.

I really hope Lily at least tolerates Armando... I mean it wouldn't be horrible if she hated him, it would give me a good excuse to not go out with him. But it was a first date, not all first dates go good. Right.

I also hope she's ok. She's seemed sad lately, she said it's because of my dad. But I don't know.

I turn to corner and bump into someone.

I look up and of course it had to be Luca. "Are you ok?" He asks. "How does me being ok concern you at all?" I question. "I was just asking, that's all." He responds. "Well I don't need you to do that." I walk passed him. "Ok." I hear him say.

Shit, now I feel bad. I stop walking. "Luca I'm sorry." I turn around and he's not there.

I am sorry. Even thought I shouldn't be, but I should. He was just asking if I was ok. And I attacked him. Sooo ya I feel bad now. Great I have a conscience.

I continue walking down the hallway making my way to my room.

"Did she even trust Luca." I stop walking.

Why am I always overheating conversations.

I peak through the cracked door and see Lily sitting next to Roman.

"She did." He responds. "I don't think so." She sighs. Why does everyone think I didn't trust him. I did.

"Why?" Roman asks. "She never introduced us. I met him on accident, I wasn't suppose to. I've heard they went out many times, they new each other for a while. But she never brought me up." She says. "Now all of a sudden she met some guy... literally yesterday and she wants me to meet him. Tomorrow."

"I'm just confused." She sighs. "She did want to tell him." Roman says as Lily looks at him. "She did?" She asks. "I promise you she did." He responds.

"Well why didn't she?" She asks. "She didn't know how." He shrugs. "I mean it's a pretty big secret." He smiles at her. "True, she probably thought Luca couldn't handle a psycho six year old." She jokes.

I'm smile. Thank you Roman.

I continue walking to my room. I get ready for bed.

Next Day Afternoon

"Armando." He sticks out his hand. "Lily." They shake hands.

She leans back in her seat as a waiter walks over to us. We tell her our drink order, than she leaves.

"Where do you work?" She asks. "Who do you work for?" She adds on. "Why are you in Paris?" She continues. "Why-" I cut her off. "She's just a little excited to meet you." I smile at him. "N-" I cut her off again. "That's all." I continue smiling.

"That's quite alright." He looks at me. "I know it is... I'm just asking questions." Lily points out. I glare at her.

"I work at an enterprise, I came to Paris because it had better job opportunities in the field I was working in." He smiles at her as she nods. "But who do you work-" I cut her off. "The waitress in coming over... you better know what your getting."

We order our food.

"You know usually, the mother is protective over the daughter... not the other way around." He says.

"We'll she's been hurt before." Lily leans forward. "I can assure you I won't hurt her." He responds. "Ahh, that's what the men before said as well." She tilts her head.

Men before? She makes it seem like I'm a hoe.

"I don't trust you." She glares at me. "Well I hope in time-" she cuts him off. "I won't." I watch his jaw and fists clench. I look over at Lily to see her smiling innocently.

"Let's move onto a different topic." I announce. "I like that." He responds. "What can't handle my topic... Armando." Lily smiles.

I turn to look at her. "That's enough." I glare at her.

Please move smoothly from here on out.

Moments later The dinner is finished

We both watch as he downs his sixth beer. "I feel bad for his liver." Lily whispers to me as I look at her blankly. "How is he not embarrassed." She continues.

I roll my eyes and stand up. "What?" She questions. Did she really ask 'what'

The three of us walk out of the restaurant after paying.

"I'm truly sorry for her behavior." I say to Armando as he shrugs. I watch Lily look up at me confused.

"Go wait in the car." I say to her. "Uh n-" I cut her off. "Listen." She walks away.

"I am sorry-" now I get cut off. "She needs to be put in her place." He says sternly. "Excuse me?" I question.

He laughs awkwardly. "I mean she needs an attitude check." He says. "We're working on it."

"Well work on it faster, I won't be disrespected by a sixteen year old." He walks away.... Bitch.

I walk over to my car and see Lily standing there.

"To be honest.... I don't think I need an attitude check." She says as I roll my eyes. "Get in the car."

We start driving to our house.

"Why were you being so rude to him." I glance over at her. "I was just asking him questions." She shrugs. "Not my fault he's a little bitch and got mad." She continues.

You've got to be kidding me.

"I was just trying to start a conversation." She continues. "In a rude manner." I say.

"Sorry." She sighs.

"But did you not see how he was downing the beers." She continues. "It almost reminded me how dad drank." I turn to look at her. "Dad?" I question. "Like the biological one... not Luca. I don't think I've ever seen him drink."

"Well you were being rude to him before he started drinking." I say. "I was asking questions how is that being rude." She responds.

There's a long pause.

"Ok. Fine." She sighs. "Sorry for asking questions... next time I'll just be quiet and the dinner will be awkward as hell."

I grip my steering wheel.

"Lily, what the fuck is your problem?" I glance at her again. "What do you mean?" She questions. "You were being rude to him and now to me... I'd like to know why."

I pull into the driveway.

"You told me that attitude is good for this world." She responds. "For the mafia world... he's not in the mafia world." I say.

"How do you know that?" She questions. "Did you do a background check on him?" She continues. "No-" she cuts me off. "Ok." She goes to get out of the car. "And you won't either." I sternly say. "No promises." She smiles.

"Lily he doesn't know who we are. He doesn't know that we're apart of the mafia, he doesn't know our last name. So please cut back on the attitude." She turns to look at me. "How shocking, you didn't tell him your last name or who you are. This definitely hasn't happened before." I look at her with wide eyes.

I'm flabbergasted honestly.

She gets out of the car, I follow her.

We walk through the doors. I see Killian Roman and Luca standing there.

"Heyyy you guys are back." Roman exclaims.

"How did it go?" Killian asks as Lily walks by him than glares at him. "So it went well." Killian gives us the thumbs up.

"She attacked him." I say as they all look at me with shock. "Wait not physically, verbally." I correct. "Oh thank god." Roman sighs.

"Her attitude is getting worse by the day, it's like she's getting more and more cold hearted." I sigh. "OH MY GOD." I hear someone say.

We all turn our attention towards the kitchen and see Iris.

"What?" I question. "What if her psycho is coming out." She says happily. "Her psycho?" I laugh. "She's your daughter, is that really shocking." She stares at me blankly. "That's true." Roman points at me.

"You started acting differently around sixteen." Iris shrugs. "I was also pregnant... at sixteen." I stare at her. "Than you became a killing machine at seventeen." She continues. "Because I had a daughter to protect."

"I can't wait to see this happen." Iris claps. "I don't want to wait to see this happen." Killian shakes his head.

"Guys, chill." I say. "She's not going to become a psycho... just because I was for a while doesn't mean she will."

"True... but there is a chance."
