"How far it is?" I sipped the chocolate milkshake

Dante glances at me his hand squeezes my thigh while driving

"Almost there" he stops the car removed his seatbelt, got out of the car, ran around to the passenger side, opened the door for me

I stare at the aquarium in Infront of us

I glance back at Dante

He smiles at me

I can't help but think he is very happy today

Why Wouldn't he be happy? He always wanted you to move in my subconscious mocked

We enter the underwater tunnel aquarium

My heart flutters with the feeling that something is off

I can't brush off this feeling since the moment I woke up and moved my stuff to his house

Maybe it's just the idea of not being with my family anymore that unsettles me

"It's beautiful" I murmur as I look above seeing lots of butterflyfish

No one is here

It's the silence we need so that we can see, hear, feel our surroundings

It feels like the world is slowed

I touch the glass separating the world of water with us

"Dante Look that little fish- "I turned around

My mouth agape at the sight in Infront of me

Dante is on his knees

"Rose I wasn't looking for love in my life but since the moment I met you I knew you are the one for me I can't imagine my life without you be mine forever cause it's no longer enough for me to know that you are mine"

"I want the whole world to know that you are my love" his eyes

"Will you marry me "I gasped as he opened the box

A diamond ring lays in it shining sparkling

I licked my lips speechless

He stares at me intensely waiting for an answer

"Yes" I chuckled as he slips the ring on my finger

He lifts me by my knees and twirls us around

"You have made me the luckiest men on earth," he says happily as he lifts me by my knees and twirls us around

"Look see that "he gestures behind me

I gasped seeing two human mermaids in the water holding a big card

Congratulations to the future bride and groom written on it

I can't stop smiling my heart blooming with happiness

Dante wraps his arms around me hugging me from behind

This moment is everything

I will never forget it

His eyes which sparkle like a diamond with happiness It's like the whole world vanishes and it's only us

"Dante, I want to go somewhere right now, "I said excitedly with an idea in my mind

An hour later

I look above my right elbow at the tattoo X. I. MMXVIII

Dante kisses my hand softly

He tattooed the same on his chest by my hands

We walk on the street eating my favourite Ice-cream

"Dante," I said excitedly

"Let's go to that old Photo automat "

He sits behind hugging me as he presses his lips against mine

I feel the white flash on us as it clicks our picture

"This is so cute" I grinned holding the photo

I chuckle

"I am not going anywhere Mr king" I walk to the kitchen

His phone rings

"Baby I have to go to the company

I will be back in an hour "

"Okay" I pour a glass of water

As I walk into our room to change my dress

My phone rings interrupting me

My brows furrowed

Why is Nichole calling me?

"What," I said annoyed

"Dad is hospitalized," she says

"What do you mean?"

"His arm and leg are broken

"Four stitches on the forehead too"

"How did this happen?" I asked confused

"Look dad wants to meet you I will send you the location"

"But- "The line cut off

At the hospital

I see my mum tensed face and Nichole staring daggers at me

"So, you finally have time to see your dad, "she says angrily

"How is he," I said looking at dad

Yesterday he looked like a powerful man but today he looks weak person who can't work without someone help

"Do you know who did this?" she questions sarcastically

"Your lover" she spits hatefully

Dante can't do this

"Don't lie mom" I said with an impassive look

"He came to our house and threatened us and later your dad is in this condition"

"Dante is a cruel person who hit your father"

"Believe me rose "

"For once I am not lying "she urges

"He is dangerous for you," she says with so much care that I almost believe that she is saying the truth

I walk out of the room feeling frustrated

She is lying as always

Dante can never do this

"This is all your fault" a voice snaps me out of my thoughts

Nichole

"Because of you, dad is in this condition"

"You don't even know who Dante is and you call him your lover" she mocks

She leans forward

"Go ask him How many more legs he has broken"

"Shut up" I push her away

"You don't know him" I yelled

"I do my lovely sister

"Fuck you "I curse walking out of the hospital

Driving back home

My mind is restless

He can't do this

I know him

I won't believe others again

As I walk into my home

I hide behind the wall listening to his conversation

"Make sure you lock the door," Dante says

He walks into the room which he told me is his study room

He opens it with the password

As I walk in

I gasped seeing the room filled with guns on the centre of the wall

Not one or two but hundreds

He takes one gun and presses his hands on the wall

"Fingerprint verified" the voice booms in the air

A door opens to the left and he walks in

I yelp as the door is about to close

I ran towards it making it just at the time before it closes

I lean on the wall not seeing anything it's dark

I hear his footsteps distantly

He enters a room with a black door and closes it

What is that you are hiding Dante?

I lean on the door trying to listen something

I breathe heavily as I hear a man's scream

"Who is in there? "I murmur

I lean on the door to listen more but my breath knocked out of my lungs as I fall forward

I look up to find Dante looking at me confused

He lifts me by my arms

"You shouldn't be here, "he says darkly

No warmth in his eyes like before

Before I answer his question, I gasp shocked seeing a man chained to the wall

His face is bleeding while his eyes are bruised black

a big cut on his knees making him bleed

tremors leave my body staring at the bloody gruesome sight in infront of me

the man groans in pain" please save me "

I know this voice

Oh my god it's Daniel

"Shocked baby," Dante says chuckling

He moves in circle around me wrapping his hands around my waist hugging me from behind

"Look see him" he whispers in my ear

"That's what happens to those who hurt what's mine"

"I- "I tried to say but my lips quivered from terror

How could he do this?

How could someone be this cruel?

Does that mean mum was right?

"How could you do this to someone, "I asked in a shaky gasp

"Easy by my hands "he grins wickedly

His eyes which always held so much love but now all I see is cruelty and malice

Daniel pleads "rose I am sorry for what I did to you"

"Don't you dare speak her name from your filthy mouth" Dante punches him

"Should I cut your tongue tell me?"

My breath hitched as Dante turns around" rose come let's go upstairs"

"Are you crazy? " I yelled

He stalks towards me holding my arm dragging me out of the room

"Did you threaten my dad too?" I questioned

"Yes, that bastard slapped you

I can't see you hurt"

But what about you Dante

What if it's you that is hurting me

"He is a selfish bastard," he says

"Shut up" I yelled

"Just because things don't go your way It doesn't mean you will torture people like that "Tears spilled from my eyes

"You are mine and I protect what's mine," he says pinning me against the wall

He lowered his head my pulse jumped "no stay away from me"

He stills "what did you say,"

"Never deny me of what's mine pretty girl"' he murmurs as his lips crash against mine

My lips pinched I tried to fight him

he caught my bottom lip sucking deeply

when I tried to pull back his teeth jolted in, nipping in warning

"Give me your mouth" his voice laced with possession

a dark possession that shows his demons

his hands entangled in my hair tugging roughly making me moan out in pain

his tongue swept in lashing, claiming.

his hands roam everywhere on my body, kneading my ass, coasting up and down my thighs,

my body melted in his touch responding to him

his fucking kiss is powerful enough to fuck my mind to make me give in and want him

he kissed me until I couldn't feel my tongue

"I will kill anyone who comes between us "ruthlessness strewed across his face

His threat makes my heart skip a beat

He moves away from me and I run towards the door

My steps halted hearing him

"Baby I know this is hard for you to understand I am letting you go for now I am giving you some time but if you tried to run away from me"

"I will catch you and then you will never leave my side again "

I scoff as I ran out of his home

Half an hour later

I drive on the narrow road

I feel betrayed and hurt

Tears spill from my eyes

I pick up my ringing phone

"Rose" Leah says panicked

"Nichole is crazy she tried to attack me"

"Where are you right now, "I asked

"At my home "

"Okay I will be there "

I increased the speed of the car

But the sudden headlight of another car blinds me

I turn my car to the left but a large force crashes against my car

I feel my body moving and the world spinning

I moaned in pain

I tried to move my legs and arms

But nothing happens except the immense headache and ringing in my ears

Everything blurs around me extreme silence takes place

I hear the car door open

A woman blurred face loomed above me

She touches my hands and I feel something slip off

The ring

she is taking my ring

I tried to say something but everything in my body screams pain

I feel a punch on my face

my face turned to the side with the blow

"You lose as always bitch"

this voice

I can recognise this voice anywhere

"Nichole "I breathe

Dizziness overcoming me

I fight to keep my eyes open

I thought today would be a new beginning but seems like it's the end of everything

As the pains seems too much to bear

I close my eyes succumbing to darkness

The end that's what she thought but

Every end is a new beginning
