Aurora
Bouncing her leg up and down at a rapid pace, Aurora began to feel nervous which was a usual feeling. She always felt nervous when she visited the doctor, and it wasn't because the doctor was mean or anything. Aurora was afraid for hearing some bad news that could affect her health even worse than it already is.
She was convinced that she would hear bad news, if it is not today it could be some day soon. Aurora knew that her condition was getting worse by the second, but they assured her that they are trying their best to help her out and soon bring her to the brink of recovery.
She bit her lip as she suddenly got a thought about the man she spilled everything to that one night. She hadn't thought it through that she could run into him again one day and she felt stupid for confiding in a random stranger.
A stranger who almost killed her friend.
She had never felt hatred to another person before, besides Lauren who she disliked but could not hate. She couldn't bring herself to hate anyone even if they had done her wrong, she just thought that people could change. Maybe Lauren is being mean to her because she doesn't know how to make friends but that is impossible.
Lauren has many friends. She just disliked Aurora.
Aurora was afraid of that man. Yes there was fear, but deep down there was also a strong dislike buried deep within in her. She knew that he was a bad man ever since she saw him nearly kill Chandler for who knows what. It was obvious that he could be a gangster and that he was a dangerous person but there was something else about him.
She couldn't quite come to terms why, shyly to say, why she felt the need to get to know him more. He was a very closed off man and she was surprised when he spoke to her in full sentences back at the cafe. He didn't seem like the type to converse with people, even though he was extremely rude to her, he did speak to her unlike that night.
What made him so rude?
There was surely something that happened to him. Aurora thought behind every person was a story, a story that led to their current state and that is why she believed to always be patient with people. People like Lauren too even if she hasn't shown any sign on improving her behavior.
There was one thing that truly bothered Aurora ever since that incident in the cafe. She did not understand how Chandler knew that man and why Chandler was with him. She remembered that he specifically told her that he would be going to the bathroom but he lied to her.
He lied and instead of going to the bathroom, he went to visit that man and was almost killed by him. Why had he lied to her and why was he about to be killed?
Chandler must have thought that was the bathroom!
Aurora's eyes widened as she thought that Chandler might have almost died because he entered the wrong room, just like her. He must have stepped into the room thinking that it was the bathroom but instead it was the bad man's area.
How did that bad man even get hold of that area?
Aurora sighed as her mind was consumed by thoughts of that unfairly pretty man.
"Aurora Jones?" she looked up to the doctor who smiled at her. "We are ready for you."
Following the doctor into the room, the nervous feeling inside of her began to become a bit more intense. It had her hesitantly step inside and have a seat on the bed where they will do their usual examination on her.
She hated these check ups but it was mandatory to do this.
"It's good to see you again Aurora. How are you feeling?" Doctor Jamison asked her, setting down some supplies on the table.
"I-I'm okay. H-how are you?" she asked the doctor shyly. He was quite an attractive man, towering over her small frame and he always made Aurora shy with his deep voice.
Doctor Jamison was young and kept well in shape with his body. He was a really attractive man but there was strict professionalism in his graceful manner while he worked. It had Aurora kick herself for ever looking at the doctor in a wrong way, a way that made her blush every time he caught her staring.
There were many times where other nurses would flirt with him. Aurora had to witness the pitiful attempts they made to have him notice them, but he was one professional man and never entertained them.
Doctor Jamison offered her a gentle smile. "I am good Aurora, thank you. Have you been taking your medication as prescribed?"
She gave him a nod.
"Have you been following your diet as instructed?"
She responded by giving him another nod.
"That is very good, Aurora. Shall we get started?" she was a bit hesitant, thinking about the needle that was going to be punctured into her skin, but she nodded.
He began doing his usual thing by taking her vitals, checking her blood pressure and everything needed to know if there are any changes to her body. Aurora had to check her weight on the scale and disappointment was evident on Jamison's face when he saw how much she weighed.
He let out a sigh. "You have lost a bit of weight since your last visit Aurora, just two pounds away from being underweight. Are you sure you have been eating?"
Aurora bit her lip before responding with a shaky nod. She couldn't tell doctor Jamison that she could not follow the diet that they had set out for her, from not being able to get the food she had to eat. Aurora had been eating her fruits and drinking water which was something she could afford.
She felt like she had disappointed the doctor by not following his instructions.
Doctor Jamison just looked at her unconvinced by her response but continued nonetheless. Her condition was responsible for adding to the loss of weight, but due to her not eating was also a major issue.
"Let's continue." he told her and resumed the examination.
The process whereby they check for any sign of progress or further threat went by and Aurora was given the go ahead to leave. It seemed that she was still in perfect shape, there was nothing new added go her condition or yet to be added except fir her weight being an issue. Beside her being close to underweight, Aurora was not in danger by the condition.
Aurora sobbed as she was forced to have Jamison take a sample of her blood. She hated this part of the examination where they extracted blood from her, pushing a needle in her arm which hurt a lot.
She hated needles.
"Your condition is still severe but with our treatment we are slowing down the dangers of what it is doing to your body. You heart rate is still irregular but it is normal for someone in your case." he jotted down some notes while he explained to her.
He gave her a look that made her swallow harshly. It meant that there was bad news going to follow.
"Your immune system hasn't stopped attacking your stem cells in your bone marrow. It seems that the medication given to you has only slowed down the movements of it, but soon it will catch up to your physical health."
Aurora bit her lip. "Doctor J-Jamison?"
"Yes Aurora."
She swallowed the lump that had formed in her throat. "Y-you spoke about getting a d-donor."
Doctor Jamison nodded. "Yes. Aurora I suggest you let us seek for a possible donor. I do not wish to see you waste your money on the stimulants, even though it does help it is only lengthening your life span. You are still at risk."
The bone marrow stimulant is what had her bankrupt. She had to pay for the treatment she was receiving but with his opinion she felt the need to have them seek a possible donor.
She said her goodbyes to doctor Jamison after he told her it was okay to leave and departed from the building. She had told herself that their was a lack-age of food in her apartment and she needed to stock up before she completely runs out of things to eat. She made a mental note in her head earlier to make a stop at the grocery story right after her appointment and now she was off to the store.
The grocery store was a five minute walk away from the hospital and Aurora decided it was not necessary to get a cab. She was capable of walking just fine and that was what she did.
As she started walking, she felt a bit odd. There was a weird tingling in the back of her head, as if there was a small burn from someone's eyes on her. She felt like she was being watched. It had her creeped out and she turned around only to find the streets filled with people minding their own business.
Anyone could have looked at her, but no one showed any sign of looking her way. She felt as if she was looking too much into this, so she continued walking.

Aurora stared at the items in her basket and back at the tub of ice cream in the freezer. Her mouth watered at the thought of having some delicious ice cream for once but that excitement disappeared when she saw the items in her basket.
There was not even much in the basket, consisting of ingredients to make spaghetti which was the only meal she could make. It's not that Aurora could not cook, no she was an amazing cook at that, but there wasn't enough money to spend on making something else.
What she needed to make her a meal for at least two days was going to waste all of her money. She deducted that there would be a shortage of money for the ice cream, so there was no chance of her being able to purchase it.
Aurora didn't have a credit card for the obvious reason of not qualifying for one.
She pouted as she stared at the tub seducing her in the freezer. She looked like a child who was sad for not being able to get any candy in the store and being told no by their mother. She felt like she could cry at any moment but didn't want to make a scene.
Aurora froze as she felt the weird tingling feeling creep up onto her neck just like earlier. She felt as if she was being watched, the creepy feeling returning once again which had her terrified. Turning around she hoped to see what or who it was that was watching her but she once again, could not see anyone.
To her right there were not that many people standing around, but they were however not paying attention to her. She thought that she was just imagining things but that thought quickly disappeared when her suspicions were confirmed.
Turning to look to her left she saw someone who kept a discrete eye on her. It was not noticeable that this person had been looking at her but Aurora could tell that this man was looking in her direction.
Watching her.
Once he saw that she had caught him, the man looked away and continued as if he had just been shopping. The man wore a hat so she could not make out who he was or get a good picture of what he looked like. Reporting a potential stalker would not work since she has no clue who he was or what he looks like, so there was no description.
Aurora that he might not even be watching her. Maybe the man was interested in purchasing some ice cream but he had a change of mind and did not want it anymore. That could be a possibility and she thought that it might just be that.
Oh no.
Was she scaring the man by drooling over the ice cream in the freezer? Maybe she had creeped the man out and he did not want to approach the place where she was standing. She felt bad for taking too long by standing at the freezer and staring at the ice cream like a weird person.
The man's lips began moving and his head turned again in her direction. With his lips still moving he gave her one more glance before disappearing out of her sight.
Was the man talking to himself?
He probably told himself that he saw a weird woman drooling over food.
But however, that was truly weird.
Ah yes, the reality of Aurora's condition. I feel so bad for her that she isn't able to cope with the lack of money and now the treatment is hanging over her head.
Poor baby.
Hehe she is being stalked now to?! Hmm wonder why that could be.
Anyway bye bye until the next update <3
