My alarm went off too early for my liking. I feel like I barely got any sleep as I pushed myself out of bed and took a look around my childhood bedroom. The sun still hasn't come up yet and I knew I needed to get moving as I still had to bring all of these boxes downstairs to load them into the truck. I went to the bathroom and quickly put myself together before returning to my room to get dressed in my camo. Once I was all dressed, I started to bring boxes downstairs.

It took me about ten minutes to get everything downstairs and once it was all down, I unlocked the front door and started to load up them into the bed of the truck. The only thing I didn't put in the bed were the guns, they stayed by the front door for now and I'll grab them once we were ready to leave.

After I was done loading the truck, I went back inside and kicked off my old sneakers. When I got to the kitchen I found mom and Peyton already waiting for me with a cup of coffee and an omelet on a plate. I sat down at the table and ate even though the omelet tasted like ash. I was able to get it all down and just sipped on the coffee. The kitchen was painfully silent as none of us really knew what to say to each other right now. Dominic walked through the front door when I was about half way through the cup. I sighed and looked down at my watch and saw the time. I stood from my chair and brought my plate and cup to the sink and started to wash them.

When I was done I shut the water off and grabbed onto the lip of the sink to steady myself. I took a few seconds to breath before I turned around and looked at my family.

"It's time." I said looking at the three of them. They all nodded and all moved to get there things. I looked around the house one final time before grabbing dad's gun case and ammunition box to take it out to the truck. I put the ammo box into the back seat and the gun case into the bed of the truck before returning to the house one final time. I tried not to look at anything as I laced up my boots. When I was finished, I grabbed my gun case and the keys to the truck and left moms house for the last time. I slid my gun case into the bed before rolling the bed cover down to cover the boxes and securing it in place before shutting the tailgate.

I hopped into the drivers seat and it didn't take long for the rest of my family to join me in the truck. Once everyone was inside with seatbelts on, I started up the truck and pulled out of the driveway. I didn't look back as I pulled out of the driveway or look around as I continued to drive out of the neighborhood towards the highway. Eyes forward, already trying to get into my three feet world. With it being this early, there weren't many cars on the road and there wasn't much traffic as we made our way to Fort Bragg.

When we got to the gate by the airfield, I gave the MPs all of my paperwork for my flight and for all of the boxes I was allowed to bring with me. They waved me through and told me someone will be waiting in the parking lot to take over my gear to the plane. I followed their directions and there was a crew of three airman waiting in a truck for me. Once I parked the truck I went over to them and let them know what I needed to take on the plane. As they started to load my gear up I asked if one of them were able to take me over to there armory. They agreed and told me to find them when I was done with my goodbyes and they'll take me over.

By the time I was done with them, I knew I needed to say goodbye to my family. I took a few deep breaths before making the walk back over to them. Peyton came up to me first and pulled me into a tight hug. We didn't speak as I held onto her for a few moments. Just when I felt her start to pull away, I tightened my grip and turned my head to speak into her ear.

"I love you mom."

"I love you so much my sweat girl." Peyton said and pulled away from me. She gave me a watery smile before taking a step away from me and mom took her place. I don't know how, but mom's hug was tighter then Peytons. I felt like I could barely breath but then again, it could be from the situation as a whole.

"You need to come home Dani. You can't leave me too." Mom said in my ear.

"You'll know I'll try my hardest mom." I answered through my tears.

"I love you chicken, so so much." Mom said.

"I love you more ma." I said with my face pressed so deeply into moms shoulder, I doubt she even heard me. But finally I pulled away and held onto her shoulders as mom wiped my tears away.

It felt like my tears were never going to end, but finally they slowed enough for mom to pull away from me and I turned to find Dominic, eyes red already. I pulled him into a hug and just held onto my baby brother.

"Did you talk to Dina?" I asked wanting to know.

"Yea, I worked it out with her last night after I dropped you off. I'm going to see her later." Dominic mumbled out.

"Good, you have today to be sad Dom, today. Tomorrow is a new day and then you'll work through it. I'll call when I get settled over there and as much as I can before I leave for Poland." I said.

"Not having you home hurts Dani. Please come back to us. I can't go through another funeral." Dominic said into my neck.

"I'll try, I love you so much baby brother, but I need to go now." I said and felt Dominic's arms tighten around my waist.

"I know and I don't want to let you go. I love you too Dani, always." Dominic said and finally slowly pulled away.

I went to the truck and pulled out dads gun case and ammo box. The guys were back and waiting for me, trying not to look at my goodbyes. I turned back to my family and could feel my eyes start burning.

"The keys are in the truck. I love you guys." I said and turned away from them.

I didn't let myself hear their cries as I continued on to the waiting truck. The guys let me jump on and we drove onto the restricted airfield. There was no need for chitchat this early in the morning and I was trying not to drown in my own thoughts of leaving my family behind once again. The guys dropped me off in front of the armory building and were kind enough to walk me through the building. There were few people around this early and it made me happy to know I wouldn't be running into anybody I knew.

There was a skeleton crew working the armory when I got there, they all looked like they wanted to be anywhere but here and I felt that. When they saw me approaching though they all looked a bit more lively and helped me hand over dad's old guns. Registering the two of dads guns into my name wasn't all that hard to do and the whole process took about forty-five minutes to complete. When it was all over, I had a new pistol and mid-range sniper to my name in a better gun case.

As I was finishing up at the armory, a private came over to me and told me he was going to bring me back over to the airfield for my flight. He brought me right to the backdoor of the plane and I thanked him again before I grabbed the gun case and walked up the hatch. I checked in with the flight commander and quickly found where the airmen tied my gear down. I took a seat near my gear and secured my gun cases to the wall before leaning against my full duffle bag.

It took about another hour before the back hatch closed up and we were racing down the tarmac. The large airbus took off and I closed my eyes to try and keep my breakfast from making a reappearance. The flight was pretty smooth and before I knew it, we were landing. A crew of airman hopped onto the hatch once it was on the ground and gathered my boxes together for me as I slung my duffle bag over my shoulder and grabbed both gun cases. Once I got out of the belly of the plane I put one of the cases down to grab my sunglasses and put them on as the sun has finally came up.

Once I collected all of my boxes onto the truck, I pulled out my phone to see that Morgan sent a text which was just a picture of the plane. I rolled my eyes and pointed them over to the parking lot. When we got over there I found Morgan waiting for me by the tailgate of our old pickup and I pointed it out. The guys had all of my gear onto the flatbed in less then five minutes and I thanked them as they drove off back towards the tarmac. Just as I put my gun cases into the bed I turned my head and found Morgan waiting for me. I gave her a warm smile as I put my duffle bag into the bed as well before closing the tailgate.

"Hi" I said and pulled her into a hug.

"I'm so happy you're home." Morgan said sinking into my embrace.

"I am too, but I have to meet with Major Collins before I can go home, you willing to wait around?" I asked relieved to be back in her arms.

"Yea that's fine, I'll go over some stuff and you can send me a text when you're done." Morgan said as she pulled away.

"Okay, lets get moving." I said waiting to get this meeting over with.

Morgan drove us over to the offices and quickly parked. Together we scanned our badges to get inside the building and walked off in the directions of Major Collins' office. Just as Morgan was going to bail out to go into her own office, Major Collins walked out of her door and we ran right into her.

"Just who I was looking for, I know you probably want to go home and get some sleep so I'll try to make this meeting quick, Lieutenant Alexander, please go and find your CO for an update on the orders as there has been a change in the them, follow me Staff Segreant." Major Collins said and walked right back into her office. I gave Morgan a confused look and shrug before following Major Collins into his office.

"So, operation Black Spear is good to go, the only change to that mission is that Bravo team won't be joining Alpha and Gold team on the ground. Alpha is still planned to go into the house solo with Gold team as cover and support. You will be training with Alpha team once you get over to Germany, with about a two-week window before the mission has a green light." Major Collins said once she sat down in her desk chair.

"Any reason why Bravo isn't going to be on the ground with us?" I asked.

"Some don't think they are needed in addition to Alpha, above my pay grade Donovan. Now for your move to Poland. The decision has been made that Alpha and Gold team will be the first on the ground in Ukraine if we are called upon. Key locations that your team should be studying up on are the capital city Kyiv, Chornobyl and the remains of the nuclear power plant and then the total south east region of the country. That is where the most Russian movements have been happening. While I will be joining you to Poland, I won't be continuing on with your team if you enter Ukraine. I will be your liaison for the team once you are in country for everything. Also a major change is that Lieutenant Alexander will be joining your team in country as your intelligence eyes and ears." Major Collins continued.

My blood ran cold and my right hand that was taking notes scratched the paper as my head snapped up to look at her. There's no way I just heard that right.

"Morgan is getting deployed with us?" I asked not wanting to hear the answer that was about to leave her lips.

"Yes, she is one of the few intel specialist who have combat experience under her belt and if I have my information correctly, you guys had a few tours together. She is the most trained and battle ready to be deployed if called upon." Major Collins said and I sank into my chair.

That's why she said Morgan needed to go meeting with her CO, whatever her original orders were just got blown out of the water. I took a few short hard breaths to try and not let my emotions bleed out onto my face but I knew it was going to be a hard sell being blindsided like this.

"I do want to make one thing clear Donovan; you are in charge when you get over there, if the time comes. Rank doesn't matter in this situation; you will be in charge of her and think of her as another member of your team, do you understand?" Major Collins said firmly.

I could only nod in response. Major went on about some other mission details but half of my brain already checked out of the conversation. All I wanted to do was run from this office and take Morgan with me. The Major released me from the meeting a little while later after putting out an email to the rest of Gold team for a meeting tomorrow afternoon to go over some final details and to go over everyone's equipment. Once we got confirmation that the email was sent, I left her office and continued walking until I left the building altogether.

The bright sunshine of the day had me pushing my sunglasses back onto my face as I came around the corner to find that Morgan was waiting for me leaning against the truck. I couldn't say anything to her as reached the truck and held out my hand. Morgan handed over the keys. I jumped into the drivers seat with Morgan sitting next to me and started towards home.

The drive was quick, only about fifteen minutes after clearing security to leave base. Once we got there, I backed the truck into the garage and hopped out. The garage door closed shut as I pulled open the door to the house. Morgan was hot on my tail once we got inside. I barely saw where I threw the truck keys and and my sunglasses before I turned around and pushed Morgan up against the wall and pressed my lips to hers.

Nothing needed to be said as our lips connected in a hot and heated kiss. Nothing mattered anymore now that I was back in Morgans arms. Morgan wrapped her leg around my waist and I took that as an invitation to wrap my arms around her butt and haul her up in my arms. I didn't break the kiss as I carried her up the stairs to Morgans room. When we got there I tried to be gentle laying her down on her bed, but I didn't remember the distance between the door and the bed. My knees hit the edge of the bed and my momentum made me drop Morgan onto the bed, separating us for the first time since we walked through the door.

Quickly I unzipped my camo jacket and pulled it off me and threw it onto the floor. Next I unlaced my boots and kicked one off all the while my eyes stay locked on Morgan. She barely moved as I kicked off my second boot and started to unlace her own. Her eyes were hungry with want as I continued on my mission to get her boots off. Once they were both gone, I made quick work of undoing my belt and getting my pants off. Next came my socks and I was only left in my t-shirt, sports bra and underwear as I crawled up the bed to be eye level with Morgan.

I froze in place when I got up to see her eyes again. Just as I was about to finally lean in, Morgan brought her hand up and cupped the back of my neck. When I thought she was about to meet me halfway, Morgan surprised me and rolled us over for her to be on top. She took my breath away for a few seconds and I watched as she rolled off of me to stand up. I watched as Morgan pulled her own pants off followed by her socks and then shirt before she crawled into my lap. I sat up to meet her and this time she planted her lips to mine. We went back and forth for a little bit before I had enough and reached down and started to pull my shirt up. Morgan followed my hands and helped me get my shirt off.

My chest was heaving as Morgan threw my shirt somewhere behind us and pressed her lips to mine. We continued kissing for another few minutes before I felt the cold metal of my dog tags on my chest and I flinch backwards. Quickly, I reached down and pulled them over my head. When I looked up at Morgan, I could tell that she was trying to work out why I took them off. But I didn't let her think about it for long before I reached down and pulled hers up and over her head as well. Both of them clenched in my hand, I slammed them down on the nightstand and turned back to her.

"We have so much to talk about but right now, I just want you. I promise we will go over everything but right now, we are just two women in love, okay?" I asked and tried but failed in willing my eyes to not tear up.

"You love me?" Morgan asked her eyes going back and forth to mine.

"For so long, I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner." I said and leaned my forehead into hers.

"I love you to Daniella, god, I love you so much." Morgan confessed and pressed her lips to mine.

We spent hours making sure to show each other just how much we did. Back and forth of going at each other, hard, hot and fast, to make up for all of the lost time. All of our pent emotions finally boiling over and we were able to just let ourselves finally feel in the love we have for each other. Some rounds were hot and heavy, kisses full of teeth, nails leaving angry red lines behind, bite marks peppered all along our bodies for evidence. Towards the end things took a turn. My emotions finally started to get the best of me and I crawled on top of Morgan and stared in her eyes. Her brown eyes dark with lust as I slowed my hands down and gently pressed my two fingers into her.

Time stood still for a few moments as I watched her face. It was then I felt her hand run down my spine and slipped in between us. Her fingers pressed into me and I sighed at the familiar full feeling. I leaned my forehead down against hers as we started to move as one. We meet each other in the middle and our lips met in a soft kiss. I only pulled away from her lips when I needed a breath of air. Morgans other hand came up and cupped my cheek to pull it up so my eyes would meet hers.

Tears were pooling in her eyes as we continued to build each other up. I could feel my eyes start to water as I took her in.

"Together until the end okay?" Morgan asked as I could feel my orgasm almost reach its peak.

"I promise, come with me baby." I said and curled my fingers inside Morgan and watched as she came undone in my arms with myself following right behind.

Tears were still flowing from my eyes as I slowly pulled out of Morgan and laid down next to her. When Morgan pulled out of me, I immediately missed the feeling but it was quickly replaced when Morgan rolled over and laid herself on top of me. I wrapped my arms around her waist holding her tightly to me as my breathing started to calm. Together we didn't say anything as we just let ourselves be wrapped up in each others arms for the first time in years.

a/n: I bet you guys are happy about this one ;)

song on the side is important, it's called Everything by the band Muna. Give it a listen because it is important.

also, I just want to make something clear, we haven't had much military action yet but it's about to ramp up from here on out. When we get to it, I'll post another chapter soley about Daniella's team. it will be like a little cheat sheet for you guys. I won't be casting anyone additional as of right now but as you know, that's always subject to change.

In other news I'm recasting Morgan. She's now going to be played by Kiana Madeira. I finally watched the Fear Street Trilogy on Netflix and thought she was amazing and her look was what I was always looking for when I pictured Morgan.

Questions, comments, concerns, you all know where to find me, until next time.
