< UNKNOWN'S POV >

" okay they've beaten her nearly to death, can we let her go? " my daughter asked me.

" who's side are you on? " I asked looking up from my papers.

" daddy I'm on yours of course, why wouldn't I be? " she said in a whiny voice.

" then why do you keep trying to get me to let her go? " I asked looking her in her eye.

" her family knows she's kidnapped and they're looking! " she said quickly.

" well let them look " I said and looked back at my papers.

" but dad- " she started and i cut her off.

" if that'll be all you can leave " I said coldly and heard her let out a sigh.

After a few seconds I heard her heels click and my door opened then closed.

I pulled my tablet out of my desk and looked at the surveillance footage.

The kids were sleeping and she looked like she was waking up so I quickly sat the tablet down and stood up.

< HENRY'S POV >

I fucked up majorly.

I can't help but to feel i failed as a father, i mean what if she never forgives me.

If she didn't I wouldn't be surprised because I'm not even forgiving myself.

As I paced back and forward ignoring the pain in my shoulder I tried to think back to when he shot me.

He didn't look familiar and his " American " accent sounded forced.

I looked through the footage earlier and got their tags number but it was fake.

This is my fault.

I agree with Janessa- when we get her back she can go with her.



COME ON JANESSA! GET UP!

I chanted to myself internally.

I felt paralyzed and my body felt like it was on fire.

I need to get us out of here.

All that's running through my mind right now is feeling weak.

Am I strong enough?

Why does this little situation have me questioning myself?

Another child??

I'll take a dna test when we get out because he could be trying to psych me out.

and if she is my child then..

I don't know.

I have to get up and keep pushing.

They're seeing me beaten and weak and I hate every minute of it .

The door opened and I couldn't see who it was but based off that cheap ass cologne I knew who it was.

" so how are you feeling? " he asked sarcastically and I wanted to say something smart but decided against it.

" the drug should wear off soon " he added after a few seconds.

" I will kill you when I get out of here! " I said hoarsely.

" I'd love to see you try " he said confidently.

No there's no " I'll try " , it's " I will " and that's a promise.

" at least let me talk to someone so they'll know i'm okay " I said and winced.

I closed my eyes for a few seconds and quickly opened them to see a bunch of people in masks going over to the girls.

" STOP IT! GET AWAY FROM THEM!! " I yelled and grew a headache.

My vision got blurry and everything seemed to go slow.

" NO!! " I yelled.



" that's part of the drug.. hallucination " he said to Janessa who was laying there sweating and yelling.

He looked and saw the kids starting to wake up so he quickly picked them up and took them out of there.

< meanwhile @ the mansion >

Joseph was still screaming at everybody and meanwhile Stephanie was pulling up.

It didn't take her long to get there when she got in the area because she sped.

She quickly got out almost forgetting to put her car in park.

She ran to the door and walked straight in not bothering to knock.

She walked to where she heard the yelling and Miriam was the first to see her.

" what are you doing here? " she asked which caught everyone's attention.

" where is Janessa? " Stephanie asked ignoring her question.

" how'd you get in? " Joseph asked.

" WHERE THE FUCK IS MY BEST FRIEND?! FUCK ALL THE QUESTIONS " she yelled surprising majority of them and making a few flinch.

" we don't know " Joseph said and she walked up to him.

" if I find out this has something to do with you I will take you down! Italian mafia or not " she said looking at Janessa's father and brothers only.

They were shocked to say the least.

Nobody had ever threatened them like that- if they did the person would've been dead before they could do anything.

" how'd you know about that? " Katherine asked stepping up to her.

" it's not fucking rocket science " Stephanie said also stepping up to her.

Stephanie's phone rang and she quickly looked at it to see Henry.

" I'd tell Janessa if I were you " she said seriously and answered the phone.

The thing is.. Janessa actually does know.

" hey what's up? " she said and walked off.

They looked at each other and although they felt different things they didn't let it show.

" I can't find anything " Louis said walking in.

A/N: I forgot about some of the other brothers tbh . let's just say they're busy people ..

< UNKNOWN'S POV >

" put her in the back " I said to the two guards who had Janessa tied up.

They shoved her in the car and the other two put the kids in gently.

I don't hurt kids- I've changed and plus they're innocent.

" where are we taking them? " my driver asked once i got in.

" st truths hospital " I said and put my sun glasses on.

< let's just time skip >



I heard loud beeping and I slowly opened my eyes.

I slightly moved my hand and looked around to see I was in the hospital which confused me.

But the kids weren't beside me and I slightly started to panic.

The machine started beeping louder and I quickly sat up no matter how much it hurt.

A few seconds later my door was opened and it revealed some nurses.

" WHERE ARE MY KIDS?! " I yelled.

" ma'am calm down you just got out of surgery! we'll bring them to you " one of the male nurses said coming up to me.

" GET AWAY FROM ME! " I yelled kicking him in the stomach.

" please calm down- Montgomery go get them! " another nurse said and a woman left.

" Ma'am you can't- " the nurse was about to say and I glared at her.

" don't tell me what I can and can't do now let me see someone's phone! " I said but laid back down anyway due to the pain.

" before they get in here go ahead and tell me what the diagnosis is " I added after a few seconds.

" a gunshot wound in the shoulder- luckily it didn't hit any major arteries but you'll have to wear a sling. you have badly bruised ribs, there are many bruises on your abdomen area, your back, almost everywhere.. and your eye is swollen, and you have a sprained ankle, and when you came in you were on something clearly and- " he paused and looked at the other two nurses.

" what is it? " I asked coldly.

" unfortunately due to the blunt force trauma to the abdomen your baby didn't survive.. i'm sorry " he said confusing me.

" baby?? what baby?? " I asked and before he could reply the door opened.

" MOMMY! " Serenity yelled and the doctor handed her to me.

" hi my baby " I said happily and hugged her tight.

" I love you and I promise this'll never happen again " I said feeling tears well in my eyes.

I looked up and saw Nyla looking at us and I waved her over.

She couldn't fully get on the bed so the nurse helped her and I hugged them both.

" Can I see a phone now? " I asked not taking my eyes off them.

" yeah here " the woman who brought the kids in said.

I quickly grabbed it and instantly went to the phone and dialed Stephanie's number.



As I was driving my phone rang and I looked to see it was a unknown number.

Something in my gut told me to answer it so I did.

" hello? " I asked in my innocent tone.

" Stephanie we're at st truths hospital! don't tell anyone else just come get us- and get us some clothes. " Janessa said.

" Janessa! You're okay! " I said happily.

" yeah just hurry " she said and it hung up.

I quickly did a u-turn and sped to her house.

A huge weight lifted off my shoulders and on that weight was fear, anger, sadness, worry..

I don't care what she says- I'm not leaving her anytime soon.

So it was supposed to be out last night but I deleted it accidentally 💔🥺.

This isn't even how the chapter went but nevertheless I wrote it.

I didn't plan on having them gone for long because I feel it's too early.
