It was now 5:55 and Joseph went downstairs to the living room.

He sat there and looked at his watch and then looked around to see nobody there yet.

Even though he said 6 he was starting to think nobody would come.

But that was short lived when Jeremy came and sat beside him.

" Are you okay? " Jeremy asked.

" of course why wouldn't I be? " Joseph replied back and the opening of the front door was heard followed by a slam a few seconds later.

" JAMIE? " Jeremy yelled.

" WHAT?! " Jamie yelled back coldly.

" WE'RE IN HERE! " he yelled and a few seconds later Jamie came into view.

" yeah well I have to take a quick shower so maybe everyone else will be here by the time I get out " he said leaving.

Nathan was in the kitchen cooking per usual- it's his comfort.

He was making a chicken salad with season and cooked chicken. He had been craving it for a while and plus he figured everyone else might've been hungry.

Katherine was at the office looking through the files, she knew she wasn't going to be there at exactly 6 and she was okay with that.

Simon was on his way back from Home Depot because he had a few things to fix up in his room.

Janessa was still watching tv- well Serenity went to sleep and nyla was fully awake.

< Ten Minutes Later >

Simon and Katherine both pulled up to the house at the same time.

They hadn't really talked since the situation went down.

Katherine took a deep breath and got out first and then Simon got out and went to the trunk to grab the stuff he just bought.

" here let me help you " Katherine said as she walked to the trunk.

" thanks " Simon said and they both grabbed some stuff and luckily it was all of it.

They walked to the door and all you could hear was their footsteps until Katherine spoke.

" so what do you need all this for? " she asked as Simon opened the door.

" to fix some stuff in my room " he said and they went in.

" KATHERINE IS THAT YOU? " Joseph yelled.

" YEAH GIVE ME LIKE TWO MINUTES! " she yelled back.

Meanwhile Nathan joined them in the living room and sat across from them.

After Simon and Katherine sat the stuff in the room they went back downstairs.

Not even a Minute later Jamie came out of his room and ran downstairs to catch up with them.

They all sat across from Jeremy and Joseph and everyone was quiet.

" so now that I have almost all of you here, I know that what happened a few days ago was a lot on you all and I apologize " Joseph said and Katherine looked around not seeing Janessa.

Katherine sent Janessa a quick text before calling her although nobody else could hear it.

Katherine: Since you're not here you might as well hear what's being said.

" yes you have another brother but he was from a one night stand.. me and your mother had broken up at the time and the woman was her best friend. " he said and Katherine scoffed.

" if I was our mom I would've never forgiven you because what in your right mind made you sleep with her Best friend?! " Katherine snapped.

" I know it was stupid but please let me finish " Joseph said and Katherine rolled her eyes but nevertheless stayed quiet.

" But as I was saying I was 16 at the time and I was a reckless kid.. but that doesn't excuse my actions.

I found out she was pregnant and not after long my parents found out and wanted her to keep the baby and the thing is your mom never knew..

I told her best friend that I'd be in the baby's life but she'd have to go far away and she did.

My parents were mad at me for a while and looking back at it I get it.

Mind you that his mom was 15 when she got pregnant and when she had him she was barely 16.

I didn't tell you guys recently because I didn't want all this to happen but I didn't tell you when you were younger because I didn't want to break up the family.

I know saying sorry isn't going to make things better and I know I should've told you but I couldn't.

Jermey only knew because he walked in on me when I was with him and i told him not to tell anyone especially your mom and he was young at the time. " he finished and they nodded.

They slightly understood it but at the same time they didn't.

" Wait why isn't Janessa here? " Jamie asked.

" yes that's a good question " Nathan said and the rest agreed while Joseph sat there looking guilty.

" Dad what did you do? " Simon asked noticing his face and they all looked at him.

" What did you do?! " Katherine asked louder.

" hey calm down " Jeremy said and they all glared at him.

Nathan grabbed the laptop off the table and pulled up the security cameras.

He went back to a few nights ago and all four watched the video.

At the end of it they were livid.

" YOU PUT YOUR HANDS ON MY SISTER? " Jamie yelled angrily shocking them all.

" AND ON MOM?! " Katherine also yelled angrily.

" AND YOU'RE DEFENDING HIM?! " Simon yelled.

" WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU? " Nathan yelled not caring that he cursed.

" YES SHE MAY HAVE HER WORDS OF DISRESPECT BUT YOU PUT YOUR HANDS ON MY TWIN SISTER BECAUSE SHE TOLD US ABOUT OUR HALF BROTHER?! " Jamie yelled and he was red in the face.

" YOU PUT YOUR HANDS ON OUR MOM TOO? FOR ALL I KNOW YOU COULD TRY TO PUT YOUR HANDS ON ME BECAUSE I SAY THE WRONG THING! SO IT MAKES ME CURIOUS ABOUT THIS HALF BROTHER'S MOM- DID YOU HIT HER TOO? " Katherine yelled and before he could speak Simon did.

" I CANT BELIEVE YOU! IT'S EMBARRASSING, SAD, AND A BITCH MOVE! YES I KNOW YOU ARE MY FATHER BUT PUTTING YOUR HANDS ON A WOMAN? SOMETHING I WOULD NEVER DO AND SOMETHING I WAS TOLD BY YOU NOT TO DO! " with that he walked off.

" YOU COULD'VE KILLED HER! THE GIRL THAT WE ALL CRIED OVER FOR YEARS! THE GIRL THAT BROUGHT AND STILL BRINGS LIGHT IN OUR LIFE! THE GIRL WHO WE'VE WANTED IN OUR LIFE FOR YEARS AND YOU CHOKED HER? IS THAT HOW MOM DIED? DOES HITTING WOMEN GET YOU OFF? " Nathan asked walking up to him with so much anger.

" I need to go because if I kill you I'll have a whole mafia on me and I don't want that " he said calmer and walked away.

" I'm a grown ass woman and i'm moving out, I can't be in this environment " katherine said.

" you're lucky I have no choice but to live with you " Jamie said and walked away.

" you both are assholes.. it's just giving me pure disgust. " katherine said and finally walked away.

The two were left in silence and Jeremy stood up.

" they're right about both of us and I can't defend you on this thing, I have to go pack because I'm leaving to the airport early in the morning " Jeremy said walking away.

Joseph was there lost in his thoughts. Everything they said to him seemed to be on a loop.

He knew they were all right. Thats not how he expected it go though.

He felt embarrassed, guilty, disgusted, angry, worried and so many other emotions.

He knew he messed up badly but he didn't know how to fix it- he figured he couldn't fix it.

" I need to get away for a few days and clear my head " he said lowly to himself and got up and walked to the kitchen first.



Well now that that's over..

It was a lot of yelling going on but they were all right.

They finally got to the truth and that's all that matters.

Some of the stuff they said was unexpected because of their bond with Joseph but it was kind of cool of them to defend me in a small away. Or whatever that was they did..

I didn't know they cried over me for years. It changes nothing but It's nice to know.

I looked at nyla and she looked at me scared.

" no it's okay " I said softly.

" can I ask you this- why don't you talk? " I asked softly picking her up.

" the man said if I talk he'll hurt you " she said with tears in her eyes.

" nobody will never hurt me again and you can talk as much as you want, don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't. " i said seriously and she nodded.

I kissed her forehead and realized the movie went off.

" We are going on a little vacation and you'll get to meet one of your uncles, does that sound fun? " I asked with a smile.

" yes! " she said excitedly.

" What color is this? " I asked pointing to my shirt.

" orange " she said and I gave her a smile.

" good job! how about this? " I asked pointing to her shirt.

" pink "

" yes! and this " I said pointing to her pants.

" white " she said.

" this " I said pointing to my pants.

" black " she said and I gave her a smile.

" can you count to ten? " I asked and she nodded.

" 1.. 2.. 3.. 4.. 5.. 6.. 7.. 8.. 9.. 10 " she said and I clapped.

" yay! " I said and she laughed.

I want to give her a test but I'll wait a few days- she definitely knows things which I'm proud of.
