ASHLYNN'S POV-

I visibly stiffened in my seat while Nathan walked in and just to my luck, he headed directly towards us. Thankfully, he didn't spot me as Lucian was sitting beside me and was blocking the view of my face.

I took deep breaths and tried to calm myself down. All the memories flashed in front of my eyes and I was having a really hard time not having a panic attack right now. I swallowed thickly and calmed my nerves down .

I really really really needed to call Ace right now and call this deal off if this guy is the Black Don.

"Hello there Ladies and Gentlemen. Sorry to have kept you waiting. The streets of New York are quite busy at this hour." He greeted and I cringed at his voice. Now he was standing at the head of the table and all of my biologicals were standing up to shake his hand.

He still hadn't seen me as the whole time, my head was down and my hair were covering my face.

"Are you the Black Don?" Natasha asked sternly and none of them stood up, instead just narrowed their eyes at him. Good. Atleast they're not fools and shake anybody's hands.

"Why yes I am" he replied proudly. I finally looked up and his eyes met mine.

His eyes widened in shock and it was quickly plastered by a smirk. More like an evil smirk. I could see he was really enjoying this and the fascination is his eyes. I just looked at him with my normal blank look and his smirk grew even wider.

"Nice to meet you Ms............?" he began with raised eyebrows, the stupid smirk never leaving his face and extended his hand towards me for a handshake while staring right into my eyes.

Now, if this was 2 years ago, I would have flinched hard but Chris helped me with that so when Nathan reached his hand out, I didn't even blink and just glared at the hand, still not moving or speaking anything.

"Ashlynn. Ashlynn Pierce. She is one of our princesses. " Alexander replied politely with a sweet smile.

I swear if I had any solid food in me right now, I would have puked it out ten times.

Lucian shot me a stern glare as if saying to behave and be nice. But at the moment, I had more important things at hand.

"Very well then. Let's get started " He replied smugly, retrieving his hand that I refused to shake and looking directly towards me, searching for any kind of reaction.

But I kept my face stone cold and refused to give him the satisfaction he wanted.

After I didn't budge, he began- "My name is Nathan Andrews. You must know me by the name Black Don. I have hosted this meeting so we can all become Ally's and maybe even more." The last part was directed towards me obviously. Man I really wanted to punch him right now.

"We can have eachothers backs during wars and can see what type of a competition we have in the underworld. And I believe, with us being some of the most powerful people in the world, we could form the greatest and the most powerful group in history." He concluded.

That's a bunch of bullcrap. The death squad already is the most powerful group in the history and he's not doing this for anybody but himself and his best friend probably.

Now, I know he isn't only involved with human trafficking but also much much worse things. And they are powerful enough. I'm can't let this alliance happen.

Now that I think about it, he probably knew that we'd meet soon.

I do recall Alexander telling me that the whole family wants to meet me including all the cousins and uncles and aunts. I didn't think much about it then.

But if William knew I was back, he most likely told Nathan about it as well. Now I get why he wanted to make this alliance.

With the Death squad for the power, and with the Americans to get to me.

He probably thought that the Black Flower could help take me down if need be considering they know I am an assassin and can easily beat them if need be.

It all makes sense.

I guess they just didn't know that the biologicals had told me about their Mafia and that I'd be here tonight.

The Americans didn't do any questioning as they were simply looking forward to the power and teaming up with Nathan will bring power to them. Meaning, they had already made their minds to agree to this alliance.

Too bad I can't let that happen.

Natasha and my other team members on the other hand, were asking all the important questions and the kind of questions that would blow his cover if he had any other intentions.

I would be too, if I didn't already know who this guy actually is.

He replied each and every one of their questions with ease like he'd already prepared the answers he was gonna give. Which he most likely had. He talked smoothly, comfortably leaving out the part about working with an evil and horrific organisation.

About an hour later, after they had asked all the questions I had told them to ask, there was silence at the table.

"So, do we have a deal?" He asked confidently and Nat shot me a look as if asking me.

"No." I almost yelled. I could see her eyes widen a bit but return back to Normal before anybody saw it.

But I needed to say it. I needed Ace to hear it through the comms which mine and his guards were wearing.

"I...-I mean we barely even...-know Know the guy-" I stammered, trying to explain to my biologicals.

They glared at me as if I'd just committed the biggest crime of all. I just flashed them an innocent look like what I had just said made perfect sense.

Which it did by the way, like they really didn't know who this guy was.

"Can I talk to you sister. In private." Lucian excused us and dragged me towards the side but I was already ahead of him. This is exactly what I needed.

If I had excused myself, Nathan would have had guards follow me to make sure I didn't tell anybody about anything and then that would have caused a scene.

So Lucian dragging me out was the perfect opportunity to call Ace.

"Do you have any idea what the fuck you just did." He spat angrily.

"Yeah. You know what, I'm gonna go to the bathroom." I replied hurriedly and found my way to the restroom.

Lucian didn't try to grab me. Huh guess he knew what would happen from the last time.

The moment I reached, I called Ace and he picked up immediately "what happened" he panicked.

"Call it off. Call it off. Call it off right NOW." I blurted into the phone.

"Yeah yeah I already did. Now what happened. I heard the whole thing. What's wrong" now he sounded genuinely concerned and worried.

I sighed in relief. This is why I love Ace. Like a brother ofcourse. He always understands me and never questions my gut or decisions.

If I ask him to do something, he'll act first and question later. And the same goes for me. This is how much trust we have. This is why he, along with my other friends are the only family I'll ever need.

"Make sure the Americans and any other powerful people don't make any sort of deal with him either." I added.

I heard him typing away which meant he was probably telling the guards and all our people there about what to do.

"Done. C'mon what's wrong?" he asked concerned.

"It's Nathan." I exhaled.

I practically heard him gasp on the other end and Felix ask in the background about what was happening.

"Ho- How- Wha-" he seemed as if he was at a loss for words and I don't blame him at all.

Nathan and William never really had any interaction with Ace but for me, it was completely the opposite of that.

But he knew exactly who they were because I told him and he'd seen them with me -more like torturing me- multiple times.

"I don't know Ace. But I've gotta go. We've to make sure to get to him. We've finally got him after two years. We can't fail alright?" I replied seriously.

"Yeah Felix and I'll be right there. First we'll get the Americans and the other civilians out and then that son of a bitch can say goodbye to his freedom. And you take care alright." He said in a comforting voice.

I agreed and hung up. These two people have put me through more than anybody knows. William more than Nathan though. But it's still bad. I haven't told most things to anyone. Including Ace and Chris. I just can't.

I walk out the bathroom and see a very pissed off looking Lucian waiting right outside.

Obsessed enough now, are we?

I ignored him and walked back to the table, but this time he blocked my path and his eyes darkened. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms.

"Do. Not. Ruin. This. For. Us. This is important for us and you can shove your attitude up your ass for this meeting. I won't repeat myself." He replied with a kind of voice I'm assuming he uses to make grown ass people piss their pants.

But I was honestly least bothered by it. Actually, I didn't even think he had it in him. Oh well.

"Fine" I rolled my eyes in the most unbothered way and walked past him.

I could see him following me and soon we were seated at the table.

I didn't say anything because he wouldn't even be here in the next five minutes. Also, I was busy keeping all the memories at bay and replying to him was the last thing I needed to do.

I took my seat at the table and Nathan eyed me up and down. I clenched my fists and tried to control my anger.

I was honestly more pissed off now rather than scared. But I had to control myself until the Americans were out.

"Sorry about that. Hope we didn't miss much." Lucian stated politely.

"Not at all. So, as I was saying- do we have a deal?" Nathan added with a grin.

Everybody seemed to think about it except for the Americans ofcourse. But before they could agree, a few of my guards came over and pointed their guns at them.

They escorted them all out with a gun pointed towards each of the biological's heads. Except for me.

I kept sitting in my seat while staring right at Nathan with my arms crossed and didn't even bother looking back to where my biologicals were being pushed out by my guards.

Nathan looked very confused and narrowed his eyes at Natasha and me "What the-" he began but was cut off when he saw me smirking.

He immediately shot up from his seat and grabbed his phone to call his guards, but Nat stood up and kicked it out of his hands before he could even unlock it.

I got up and crushed it under my boots. Now, the biologicals were long gone and it was us against him.

We heard gunshots outside. A minute later Ace and Felix walked in and I saw bodies of guards outside. Probably the guards of Nathan who were on standby.

Well now this is gonna be fun.
