Amuro POV
"Bourbon, your new orders are to find that traitor, Sherry." the boss said. "Do not fail me."
"Yes sir." I replied. "If it's not too rude of me, I would also like to ask permission for another mission."
"I don't grant requests that easily, Bourbon." the boss replied curtly.
"I think you'd be interested in this one." I smirked. "I want to verify Shuichi Akai's death." I refuse to believe someone as skilled as Akai would be killed that easily.
"What are you implying? Vermouth confirmed that he's dead." the boss responded.
"I have a hunch that -" I insisted.
"Bourbon, you're quite talkative today." the boss interrupted. "However, since I don't want any loose ends, I will grant you permission on one condition."
A condition? "What is that condition?" I asked.
"I will also assign Vermouth to this mission." the boss declared and hung up. Vermouth? I have never worked with her before but I will do whatever it takes to uncover the truth about Akai.
I shook my head. I must focus on my original mission. I need to get closer to Detective Mori. He must have some connection to Sherry.
Perhaps I should get some lunch first. I walked up to the closest restaurant, Ristorante Sundayrino, and a plan began to formulate in my head. I having been posing as a private detective, but a waiter would be another perfect cover.
**********
"Well, how's my handiwork, Bourbon? You look just like him now." Vermouth finished her disguise at my apartment.
"It looks eerily accurate." I looked in the bathroom mirror to see a reflection of Akai with a scar. I grabbed a fedora hat and began to wander the streets for signs of Akai's colleagues.

Kaiya POV
I let the snow fall slowly on my hand. It was rare for me to see snow until I was transported to this world. I'm glad I still managed to run my errands despite the weather. As I was walking, I saw Jodie on the sidewalk. She seemed to be chasing someone in an alley.
"Jodie-sensei?" I walked up to her.
"K-Kaiya-chan?" Jodie asked in shock. "Why are you here?" "I was just running some errands." I explained.
"Jodie-kun? Did something happen? I don't remember parking my car here." James and Camel came up to us. "Ah Kaiya-chan." he greeted me.
"Don't tell me you saw someone from the organization?" Camel asked.
"Nothing like that!" Jodie said nervously. "I was just talking to Kaiya-chan that's all. That aside, did you get some good alcohol?"
"Alcohol? For a celebration?" I asked.
"It's James-san's birthday." Camel explained.
"In that case, Happy Birthday James-san!" I said.
"Thank you Kaiya-chan." James replied. "We were going to get some alcohol, but unfortunately I wasn't able to use my card at the store." he told Jodie.
"And I didn't bring much yen with me." Camel added sheepishly.
"Sorry Jodie-kun, do you think you could pay for us first?" James asked.
"My wallet is almost empty though! I was going to make a withdrawal later." Jodie replied.
"Teito bank is nearby. You could make a withdrawal there." I suggested. "I'll go with you."
"Just wait for me at the store then." Jodie said and we started running off to the bank.
"Jodie-sensei, is something on your mind?" I asked again.
"I saw him." Jodie replied after a moment of silence. "But it can't be!" she shook her head.
"By he do you mean...Akai-san?" my eyes widened. Hmm she must have seen Scar Akai then.
********
"The line for the ATM is so long." I noted. "Jodie-sensei, I'll be back, I'm going to the restroom." I told her.
"Eh?! Conan-kun?" I saw him outside the restroom. "You guys are at the bank too?"
"Yeah we were -" Conan started before we heard a gunshot.
"What was that?" I gasped.
"It's a bank robbery!" Conan whispered when we peeked behind a wall. We saw armed men dressed in black.
"I have to help Jodie-sensei!" I whispered back, but Conan pulled me back to the restroom and we hid in the stalls.
********
We heard Jodie come into the restroom, and she knocked out one of the robbers in a flash. Conan pocketed the pistol that the robber had.
"As expected of an FBI agent." Conan said.
"What are you guys doing here?" Jodie asked.
"We came with Mitsuhiko to deposit his New Year's money, but we ended up going to the restroom due to Genta's stomach ache." Conan explained.
"Then we heard a loud bang!" Ayumi said.
"And we've been hiding here ever since." Genta said.
"So, how many robbers are there?" Conan asked.
"I believe I saw five when we peeked behind the wall." I told Conan.
"Yeah, and they are all armed." Jodie confirmed.
"So they are after the money?" Conan asked.
"That's right, they ordered the money to be packed in their cases. But it's strange, they sorted out the ones with companions and only allowed the branch chief to pack the money. For some reason they were concerned with the time." Jodie told us.
"Why the time though?" I mused.
"I can handle this no problem!" Jodie declared. "Go for it Jodie!" she told herself.
My eyes widened when I saw the robbers enter so I pulled the detective boys behind the stalls just in time.
**********
"The coast is clear." I nodded to the detective boys. "Now we need to devise a plan to rescue Jodie-sensei."
"We have to beat those punks up!" Genta said.
"But there's five of them!" Ayumi said.
"No, there's four now." Conan motioned to the last robber.
"So we have to lure the robbers in and take them out." I suggested. "But still... why didn't they just take the money and leave?" I wondered.
Afterwards, Conan explained his plan to us.
********
"Here's his phone." I handed Conan a phone I fished from the robber's pocket.
"Hey, it's me." Conan used his voice changer.
"What? You're awake?" a voice replied over the phone.
"My head is spinning, can you come for a sec and help me up?" Conan replied.
"Got it" the voice said. I told Conan to hide behind the stalls as we proceeded with the plan.
********
"Hey you're not him!" the robber exclaimed when he saw me in the stalls.
"Ah! Help me!" I pretended to panic and run. The robber slipped on a roll of tissues laid out by the detective boys when he was chasing me.
"We did it!" the detective boys cheered and I high fived them.
I inspected the robber. "It seems like he got a concussion and fainted."
"Let's tie him up with this hose." Conan suggested. "Kaiya-neechan can you call the rest of the robbers to draw them in?" He handed me the bowtie.
I nodded and flipped open the cell phone to look through the call history, but flipped it shut immediately when a woman's voice responded to my phone call.
"That guy called his girlfriend right before the bank heist?" Conan sweatdropped.
*******
"You figured out the robber's plan?" Mitsuhiko asked.
"Yeah they plan to disguise themselves like hostages to escape. If you look at their clothes carefully, they are all dressed similarly." Conan explained. "They planned to knock out five hostages and dress them in a ski hat and jumper and have the hostages pose them as the robbers themselves."
"But won't they be found out immediately?" Ayumi asked.
I shook my head. "No, the hostages all have their eyes, mouth, and hands duct taped."
"I get it. That way the hostages won't know what's going on since they can't see anything." Ayumi said.
"And when the incident disappears, no one will say anything since the hostages they selected don't have companions. That was the reason the robbers separated the hostages. Further proof is that only the head chief was allowed to touch the money since he was familiar with it and it would make the process smoother. The cases probably contain bombs that they used to attempt to open a safe." Conan said.
"Does this mean the robber's plan won't work?" Mitsuhiko asked.
"These robbers are amateurs. Any money they transfer will be stopped by the headquarters." Conan replied.
"Forget it! Let's just blow this whole place up!" we heard a voice shout in frustration.
"We have to remove the bombs!" I exclaimed.
"Genta, Ayumi grab the cart in front of the elevator. Kaiya-neechan and Mitsuhiko come with me." Conan ordered. "The robbers won't see what we are doing if they are posing as hostages. They will have blindfolds."
We ran into the reception of the bank and searched for the cases with the bombs.
"Get these on the cart now." I whispered as I passed the cases to Conan and Mitsuhiko. We threw the cart with the bombs into the elevator just in time as the bombs exploded.
*********
"How do we find the robbers now?" Ayumi asked.
"Listen up! Everyone get up and follow the sound of my voice!" Conan announced with his voice changer. Everyone started walking except three men.
"Alright it's you three." I walked up to them. "It wasn't part of your plan right?"
"You guys tell the bank employees to open the doors -" Conan told Ayumi, Genta, and Mitsuhiko before he was suddenly grabbed by the robber who was knocked out before.
"If you guys don't want me to see him snap his neck, hand me the gun on the counter!" the robber demanded. Then he saw Conan's pistol. "Oh what's this you have one already?" He pulled it out and aimed it at Conan's head. "Die!" the robber shouted.
All of a sudden, we heard a gunshot, and the robber dropped the gun in pain. The hostages screamed and ran in all directions. The chaos gave me the opportunity to knock the robber out with my wristbands. Then I gasped. If I remember correctly in the anime, the person who shot that was Scar Akai.
"Wait!" I chased after Scar Akai outside the bank. "He's gone!" I panted.
*********
"You saw someone like me with a burn mark on the right cheek?" Shuichi asked.
"His hat was even the same as yours." I explained. "He looked like this." I attempted to sketch him with a burn mark.
"This drawing is scarily accurate." Shuichi looked at the paper. "Your skills are up to par with a forensic sketch artist."
"Well, drawing is one of my hobbies hehe. But never mind that, shouldn't we investigate this person?" I asked.

Amuro POV
"So, how was it, Bourbon?" Vermouth smoked another cigarette.
"That bank heist was a slight delay in my plans, but no matter. Judging from that FBI agent's reaction, Akai seems to be really dead." I replied.
"Well, convinced yet?" Vermouth asked.
"Not quite." I replied. "Someone else worth investigating appeared."
"Oh do tell." Vermouth was interested.
"The girl with that FBI agent seemed to know Akai." I told Vermouth.
"I know who you are talking about." Vermouth smirked. "I ran her fingerprints against the system but there was no match."
"As if she doesn't exist?" I asked surprised.
"It is as if she appeared out of thin air." Vermouth confirmed.
