Kaiya POV
"What?! The Organization knows Ai-chan will be on the Mystery Train?" Yukiko gasped in surprise after Shuichi told us about the video he saw last night. "Is this true, Shin-chan?"
"Yeah..." Conan sighed.
"It pains me to say this, but faking Shiho Miyano's death is the only way to keep her safe." Shuichi said.
"Ai-chan won't like this plan..." I warned.
"I wonder which Organization members will be on the train." Yusaku mused.
"Vermouth." I piped up. "She's a master of disguise so it would make the most sense." Well the truth is I knew it already from the anime...
"If it's Sharon, I can deal with her." Yukiko offered.
"Someone else has to disguise as Shiho Miyano if Yukiko is dealing with Sharon." Yusaku said as Conan and the adults were formulating a plan for the Mystery Train.
"I can ask Kaito Kid." Conan suggested. "He's a master of disguises and escapes."
"Imagine Kaito Kid wearing this wig." I giggled and tried on a brunette wig that resembled Shiho's hair. "Eh? Yukiko-san, is there something on my face?" I asked her when I noticed everyone staring at me.
"You look so much like Ai-chan!" Yukiko responded.
"It's true... you wouldn't need an elaborate disguise." Yusaku remarked.
"Are you saying that Kaiya-chan will have to face them alone?" Yukiko asked worriedly.
"I'll be fine." I insisted.
"You will have a target on your back if you are disguised as Shiho Miyano." Shuichi pointed out. "Are you sure you're up for this task?"
I nodded.
"Here's an earpiece so that we can hear everything going on. I'll pull you out if it gets too dangerous." Shuichi reassured me.
"I trust you." I smiled.

The day came and I put on a hat to cover my face as I boarded the train with Shuichi and Yukiko. My presence had to be a secret, so I told Ran and the others beforehand that I was unable to go with them since I caught a cold.
"Woah! This place is decorated just like Agatha Christie described in her book!" I gushed as I entered the carriage. I took an excessive amount of photos.
"I know right, Kaiya-chan?" Yukiko smiled. "I knew you would love this place."
*****
"This is an emergency announcement! There's a fire in Carriage 8. For your safety, please evacuate to the front of the train." we heard the conductor over the loudspeaker.
"The plan is a go." Yukiko told me when she got a signal from Shuichi. Apparently Haibara just received a text from Vermouth, and Haibara was running in our direction.
We heard footsteps running and our door opened to reveal a panting Haibara. "What's going on?" she demanded when she saw me and Yukiko.
"Shh... leave the rest to us." Yukiko winked at Haibara as Conan rushed in and shoved a phone into Haibara's face.
"Kaiya's about to meet one of the members of the Organization disguised as you, so tell her what to say!" Conan ordered Haibara as I put the finishing touches on my Shiho disguise.
"I'm counting on you." I handed Haibara an earpiece.
"No, don't go!" Haibara gripped my sleeve as I was about to exit. "Please!"
"Don't worry. We won't let the Organization lay their hands on you. Just stay here, out of sight." I reassured her. I ran into the corridor into Carriage 8 and immediately started coughing. There was so much smoke! I stopped at a door to catch my breath.
"You really are Hell Angel's daughter. You look just like her." I gasped and turned around to see Amuro step into view.
"A pleasure to meet you. My codename is 'Bourbon'." he said. I could not help but tremble in fear since he had an expression on his face that I've never seen before. "'Bourbon. Do you recall hearing this code name before? I've met your family before."
"Yes. I've heard of you." I faced him and managed to repeat the words Haibara said in my earpiece. "You are a member of the Organization and the rival to my sister's boyfriend, Dai Moroboshi. From what my sister told me, there was a lot of antipathy between you two."
"Indeed. Just as I suspected, he turned out to be an FBI agent." Amuro smirked. "I couldn't believe the reports that he had been killed after betraying the organization. So I disguised myself and wandered around people close to him, to watch their reactions. But all I could figure out from that is that he really is dead."
I smiled inwardly. That means our plan worked!
"Anyway, my partner who helped me make that disguise is now disguising as him in my place." he said and I narrowed my eyes slightly. Vermouth...
"The fact that you've appeared before me shows how much she terrifies you." Amuro continued. "Now would you put your hands up and slowly walk backwards?" He pulled out a gun. I did as I was told and put my hands up. "We'll go to the luggage car behind Carriage 8."
"Now please open the door and get inside." he said. I went in reluctantly. "Fear not. I intend to take you back to the Organization alive. I'm going to destroy the link between these two carriages with an explosive and break off the luggage car." Amuro took out a rectangular shaped explosive and planted it on the ground. "And, after it stops, my partners will come and collect you. Until then, I'm afraid I'll have to knock you out." I looked at the doorway and my eyes widened.
"But don't worry, you'll be sleeping a safe distance from the door, so you don't need to worry about getting caught in the explosion." Amuro said.
"Apparently I do have to worry." I pointed out. "This luggage car is full of explosives. Looks like there is a slip up in your preparations." I moved the fabric covering explosives on the shelves.
"I guess I have no choice." he sighed. "How about you come this way?" Amuro motioned. It's dangerous in the luggage car, but I mustn't alter the plot.
"Sorry, but I decline." I said firmly and slammed the door shut, following what Kaito Kid did in the anime. I looked at the explosives to see if I could disable them. Suddenly I was thrown to the back of the car by an explosion. Ouch... there's no time to waste...I have to get out of here before the rest of the car explodes. I tried to unlock the door at the back of the luggage car, but it was stuck. I coughed violently as the smoke was getting too heavy. My face was probably also covered in soot. Suddenly, the door was ripped open and a pair of strong arms grabbed me out from the carriage right before it exploded.

I looked down at the ground to see that we were flying in the air.
"Hang on tight!" A voice said. I looked up to see a boy around my age. He was dressed in white suit and top hat and was flying on a white glider.
"Kaito Kid?!" I exclaimed.
"Nice to meet you, miss. That detective-kun asked me to find you." he explained.
"Luckily you did." I sighed in relief. "There were explosives in the carriage."
"Jeez that Detective kid owes me though. I didn't sign up for dangerous explosions." he sighed and called Conan to complain to him.
*****
"Please be careful...the Organization could have spotted you." I reminded Kaito Kid after he dropped me off at a rendezvous point.
"Of course I'm careful. Who do you think I am?" he said playfully, causing me to roll my eyes. He snapped his fingers and a purple flower appeared. "For you, my lady." he bowed and handed me the flower before taking off on his glider.
Ah Kaito Kid... as dramatic as always...

Vermouth POV
"You killed Sherry? Are you sure, Vermouth?" Gin asked over the phone as I got off the train.
"Yes. Bourbon watched her go up in smoke along with the luggage car. Because of that though, the train was stopped at a nearby station. We passengers are all going to be questioned by the police. It's a shame I can't meet you at Nagoya, since you have been waiting so patiently." I smirked.
"So that's why you wanted the explosives." Gin replied. "If an explosion took place on board, the police would stop the train for sure." Hmph close Gin, but that's not the real reason.
"You are satisfied with just Sherry being blown up to bits right?" I clarified and ended the call.
"But I was so surprised!" I heard a girl's voice call out and I stopped in surprise.
"I had no idea Haibara-san was in Carriage 7, room B!" a boy continued.
"It was free because it was the dead guy's room." another boy said. Ah they are the Silver Bullet's friends, I believe.
"She said she had to rest when she came back from the toilet because her cold was making her dizzy." one of the boys said. I turned around. What?! How is Sherry still alive? I turned around to see her being carried by an old man.
"Quiet. She's worn out so she's getting some sleep." the old man chided. I see. They figured out that if she'd run into a room, it'd be that one, so Yukiko was waiting for her and hid her. So that kid's phone call back then... it was an act to keep me stalled in Yukiko's room. But wait - then who was that? Who was the girl who blew up in front of Bourbon? Don't tell me it was that "special guest"?
"I'm so sad that Kaiya-neechan couldn't come!" the girl cried out again.
"Yeah, she said she had a cold." one of the boys said.
I gasped in realization. I see... it all makes sense now. It was Kaiya who disguised as Sherry.

Kaiya POV
(a day later at Professor Agasa's house)
"So why didn't you tell me your plan beforehand?!" Haibara demanded.
"Oh, well..." Conan and I stuttered. Yup, I knew Haibara would disapprove of the plan.
"I was shocked! Running for my life, I went into the unused Carriage 7, room B. Then Kaiya and your mum were there, and they said to leave the rest to them. I had no idea what was going on!" Haibara put her hands on her hips.
"It was Kudo-kun's idea." I gave a closed eye smile and pointed to Conan, who glared at me.
"And you rushed in with your phone saying that Kaiya was going to meet one of them disguised as me. I thought it was some crazy joke!" Haibara scolded Conan.
"Well.. well we weren't sure if they were going to be on the train or not." Agasa tried to placate Haibara.
"Even I let my guard down until I got the text from my mother saying that Vermouth was on board. But our room was likely bugged so I couldn't say anything to you." Conan explained. "T-though Subaru-san did hack into your phone and saw the text from Vermouth, so he figured we were in trouble after all and went to find you." Conann admitted sheepishly.
"Hacked?" Haibara grew a tick mark. Oops maybe he shouldn't have said that....
"And thankfully as predicted, you went into room B on Carriage 7." I tried to reason with her.
"Just who is that Subaru guy anyway? Why is he living with your mum and Kaiya in your house?" Haibara demanded of Conan.
"He's someone we can trust." I reassured her.
"Don't worry, he's on our side.." Conan sweatdropped. "Besides, my mom is only occasionally here on the weekends. Anyway, the main piece of info we got was that Tooru Amuro, who works at Cafe Poirot, is actually Bourbon, one of them.
"Speaking of Amuro-san, I heard he's been on sick leave ever since that incident." I remarked.
"Yeah, we don't know why he was working at Poirot, but he's not gonna come back is he? Luckily for us, he seems convinced that you died in the explosion." Conan told Haibara. Oh he will be back... you just don't know it yet Conan.
"Though if he did come back, then I would investigate him instead, but oh well..." Conan trailed off. Yeah, I figured as much.
"Anyways, if you both do something like that behind my back again, I won't forgive you!" Haibara scolded. "I don't like feeling like I've been played with!"
"Eh... what's with that expression Ai-chan? You aren't gonna make us buy you another Fusae brand bag are you?" I paled.
"Hmph!" was all Haibara responded.
"Is that your way of thanking us?" Conan's eyebrows twitched.
"Don't be stupid!" she huffed, slightly embarrased, a hint of pink tinting her cheeks. She crossed her arms and left.
"Come on, Ai-kun's a bit of a tsundere." Professor Agasa brushed it off.
"What's 'dere' about her?" Conan pouted and I laughed.
