Vikram had finished his work and was heading back home, looking forward to a quiet night with Kanak. But as he approached his house, he was surprised to see a group of his old friends waiting for him.
"Vikram, buddy! We haven't seen you in ages!" one of them exclaimed, clapping him on the back.
Vikram smiled, happy to see his friends, but he tried to explain that he was tired and wanted to head home. However, his friends were insistent.
"Come on, Vikram! Just one drink! We'll catch up and have some fun," another friend said, holding up a bottle of liquor.
Vikram hesitated, but his friends wouldn't take no for an answer. They poured him a drink, and despite his protests, they forced him to down it.
As the night wore on, Vikram's friends continued to ply him with drinks, laughing and joking as they relived old times. Vikram tried to resist, but his friends were too persuasive.
Before he knew it, Vikram was drunk, stumbling and slurring his words. His friends laughed and cheered, happy to have their old buddy back.
But as the night wore on, Vikram's thoughts began to blur, and he stumbled, almost falling to the ground. His friends caught him, holding him upright as they laughed and joked.
Vikram stumbled and staggered, trying to make his way back home. "Ab mujhe ghar jana hai," he slurred, telling his friends that he needed to go home.
His friends laughed and bid him farewell, still chuckling as they watched him stumble away. Vikram somehow managed to navigate his way back to his house, his vision blurry and his legs unsteady.
As he entered the drawing room, he saw Kanak sleeping peacefully on the couch, a soft blanket draped over her. Vikram's eyes locked onto her, and he felt a surge of love and affection.
He stumbled towards her, his footsteps loud and uneven. Kanak stirred, sensing his presence, and opened her eyes to find Vikram standing over her, a goofy grin on his face.
"Vikram?" she whispered, her voice laced with concern. "What's wrong?"
Vikram's grin faltered, and he looked at Kanak with a sheepish expression. "I...I had a few drinks with friends," he slurred, his words barely intelligible.
Kanak's eyes widened in surprise, and she sat up, her hands reaching out to steady Vikram. " come sit down," she said, her voice soft and gentle.
Vikram nodded, his eyes locked onto Kanak's, and stumbled towards the couch, collapsing onto it with a thud. Kanak caught him, holding him upright as he leaned against her, his head lolling onto her shoulder
Vikram's voice was slurred, but his words were laced with emotion. "Mujhe kuch kehna hai aapse, Kanak," he spoke, his eyes locked onto hers.
Kanak's expression softened, and she gently stroked his hair. "Kya kehna hai apko Vikram?" she asked, her voice gentle.
Vikram's voice cracked as he spoke. "Aap mujhe maaf kar dijiye...jo bhi maine kiya uske liye...aap mujhe jo saza dengi wo manjur hogi." (Forgive me for whatever I've done...whatever punishment you give me, I'll accept it.)
Kanak's eyes widened in surprise, and she looked at Vikram with concern. "Vikram, kya hua? Aap kis baat ki baat kar rahe hain?" (What's wrong? What are you talking about?)
Vikram's eyes welled up with tears, and he looked away, his voice barely above a whisper. "Maine aapko hurt kiya..and I'm guilty for it
Vikram's tears fell onto Kanak's shoulder
After a few moments, Kanak gently looked at Vikram. "You should sleep now, Vikram," she said softly.
Vikram's voice was laced with remorse as he apologized for his past actions. "Kanak, I'm so sorry for what I did to you. I kidnapped you, tried to hurt you physically, and married you forcefully. I was wrong, and I know I can never undo the pain I caused you."
Kanak's eyes welled up with tears as she listened to Vikram's words. She tried to get up and leave the room, but Vikram caught her hand, holding her back.
"Please don't go, Kanak. Stay with me," he begged, his eyes pleading with her.
Kanak looked at him, her expression a mix of sadness and hesitation. Vikram's grip on her hand tightened, his fingers intertwining with hers.
"I promise you, Kanak, that I will be a good husband to you. I will always take care of you, protect you, and love you. I know I don't deserve your forgiveness, but I hope you can find it in your heart to give me another chance."
Kanak's eyes searched Vikram's face, looking for any sign of insincerity. But all she saw was genuine remorse and a deep longing for her forgiveness.
As she looked at him, Kanak felt a spark of hope ignite within her. Maybe, just maybe, Vikram was truly sorry for his past actions. Maybe he was willing to work hard to regain her trust and love.
With a gentle nod, Kanak sat back down beside Vikram, her hand still clasped in his. Vikram's eyes lit up with joy, and he pulled her into a tight hug, holding her close as if he would never let her go._.
Vikram's eyes locked onto Kanak's as he placed his head on her lap, his body relaxing into a prone position. Kanak's hands instinctively cradled his head, her fingers gently stroking his hair.
The room fell silent, the only sound the soft rhythm of Vikram's breathing. Kanak's eyes softened, her gaze filled with a mix of compassion and curiosity.
As she looked at Vikram, she saw a vulnerability she had never seen before. His eyes, usually strong and confident, were now closed, his face relaxed in surrender.
Kanak's heart swelled with emotion, her fingers continuing to stroke Vikram's hair.
Vikram's voice was barely above a whisper as he spoke, his words tumbling out in a heartfelt confession. "That day, when I sent you back home, I felt like I was losing my life. You are my everything, Kanak. Without you, I am nothing. I will die without you."
Kanak's eyes welled up with tears as she listened to Vikram's words, her heart aching with emotion.
Vikram's voice cracked as he continued, "I promise you, Kanak, that I will stop every bad work. I will do good work and give you a better life. I will make you proud of me. I promise."
As Vikram finished speaking, his body relaxed, and he fell into a deep sleep, his head still cradled in Kanak's lap. Kanak looked down at him, her eyes filled with tears, her heart overflowing with emotion.
She gently stroked his hair, her fingers tracing the contours of his face. As she looked at him, she saw a glimmer of hope, a chance for redemption and a new beginning.
As the night wore on, Kanak sat quietly, Vikram's head still in her lap, her heart filled with a sense of peace and possibility._.
As Vikram slept, he instinctively wrapped his arms around Kanak's stomach, pulling her close in a gentle hug. Kanak felt a surge of emotion at the tender gesture, her heart skipping a beat.
As she looked down at Vikram, she felt a deep sense of connection and love. His embrace seemed to awaken a part of her that had been dormant for so long.
Kanak's eyelids grew heavy, and she felt herself drifting off to sleep, Vikram's hug a soothing balm to her weary soul. As she surrendered to slumber, she felt a sense of peace and contentment wash over her, her heart filled with love and hope for the future...❤️
