Vikram's lawyer, a middle-aged man with a somber expression, walked into the jail cell with Malik. And his men He greeted Vikram with a nod before turning to Malik.
"The allegations against Vikram are very serious," the lawyer said, his voice grave. "The CM's daughter has accused him of molesting her every day after their marriage, and beating her brutally. As his lawyer, I will do my best to defend him, but I have to warn you, Malik Sahab, the evidence against him is strong."
Malik's expression turned thoughtful, his eyes narrowing as he considered the lawyer's words.
"What are the chances of getting him acquitted?" Malik asked, his voice low and calculated.
The lawyer hesitated before responding, "Honestly, it's going to be tough. The CM's daughter is a credible witness, and her allegations are backed by medical evidence. But I will do everything in my power to defend Vikram and prove his innocence."
Vikram's eyes widened to hear the allegations as he listened to the lawyer's words. He didn't believe kanak can do this , but the allegations against him were so serious that he wondered if anyone would believe him. Malik, flashed a reassuring smile at Vikram, who looked up at him with a mixture of hope and skepticism.
"Vikram, my brother" Malik said, his voice dripping with false sincerity. " I'm confident that I can have you released within few days."
Vikram's eyes narrowed, unsure if he could trust Malik. But Malik's words sparked a glimmer of hope within him to see kanak again.
Just then, one of Malik's men stepped forward, a sly grin spreading across his face. "Vikram, I have some thing important news for you" he said, holding out a few photographs.
Vikram's heart sank as he took the photos from the man. His eyes widened in shock and pain as he saw the images of Kanak, smiling and laughing alongside Sagar, the DGP's son.
The photos showed Kanak happily shopping with Sagar, the two of them walking together, holding hands. Vikram's mind reeled as he stared at the images, his heart heavy with grief and betrayal.
"Kanak is going to be engaged to dgp son Sagar in three days," Malik's man sneered, his words twisting the knife in Vikram's heart.
Vikram felt like he had been punched in the gut, his breath knocked out of him. He stumbled backwards, his eyes fixed on the photos, his mind struggling to comprehend the truth.
Malik's face broke into a wide, reassuring smile as he nodded at Vikram. "I guarantee it, Vikram. You will be out of this jail within three days. I have already set the wheels in motion, and nothing can stop it now."
Malik's words were laced with confidence, and Vikram felt a surge of hope rise within him. He grasped Malik's arm, his eyes burning with intensity.
"Promise me, Malik Sahab. Promise me that I will be out of here in three days. I need to stop Kanak's engagement. I need to be with her."
Malik's smile faltered for a moment, before he nodded again. "I promise you, Vikram. You will be out of this jail in three days. And I will make sure that you have everything you need to stop Kanak's engagement and be with her again."
Vikram's grip on Malik's arm tightened, his eyes boring into Malik's. "I'm counting on you, Malik Sahab. I'm counting on you to keep your promise."when everone left ...
In alone...Vikram's eyes welled up with tears as he protested his innocence. "But I never hurt Kanak, I never laid a hand on her," he said, his voice cracking with emotion. "How can she say such things about me? I loved her, I protected her..."
His words trailed off as he thought about Kanak's engagement to her childhood friend, Sagar. Vikram's heart felt like it had been shattered into a million pieces. He couldn't bear the thought of Kanak marrying someone else, of her smiling and laughing with another man.
Vikram's mind was a jumble of emotions - pain, anger, sadness, and betrayal. He felt like he was drowning in a sea of despair, unable to find a lifeline to cling to.
"Why is she doing this?" Vikram asked, his voice barely above a whisper. "Why? I thought she start feeling for me, I thought we had something real...".
