Characters in this chapter- Queen Elvira- Witch queen
This is honestly just an excuse for me to write strict Elvira and to do the classic being pulled by the ear bit in a story. Also it's double the length my chapters normally are so enjoy!

I swirled my tequila around my glass, the ice clinking around the glass. Tequila wasn't my favorite drink but it was quite strong and I needed strong right now. I was trying to stay awake to finish some more paperwork as well as look over the mentorship contract.
I had only read a few pages of it but I desperately wanted to sign it. Everything seemed so simple and I figured I knew the Kings and Queens well enough to trust them. However every single time I tried to sign it, I couldn't. My body physically would not allow me to sign any part of the contract.
I let out a frustrated noise as I threw my pen across the room, glaring down at the contract. I kicked my desk with a huff as I slid down in my seat. My head jerked slightly when I saw a pen, my pen, floating in front of my face and tapped my head. I looked up, smiling slightly when I saw Queen Elvira standing in the doorway. I sank down slightly when I noticed a frown on her lips.
"You told me you were going to bed two hours ago," she said simply as she shut the door behind her. The sound of the door shutting sounded like a death knell ringing, at least to me. It sounded like a warning of my future seeing as she did not look like she was happy.
"I was busy," I said simply as I crossed my arms over my chest, sinking down in my seat under her glare.
"I don't like being lied to, darling," Queen Elvira crossed the room, moving to stand beside me.
"I didn't lie on purpose," I whined as I sat down my glass. Her eyes flickered to me before looking at my drink. She looked at my liquor cabinet, a frown marring her lips.
"You've been drinking," she commented, looking down at me. Her displeasure was quite obvious and I squirmed under her gaze.
"Not much, just a little bit," I muttered as I avoided looking into her eyes. "I needed to so I could stay awake," I defended my actions even as I continued to squirm her stern look.
"You are underage," she said as she sat on the edge of my desk. She waved her hand and I watched as my glass disappeared, reappearing full. I looked up at her in surprise and mild confusion. "It's water," she said when she saw me looking at her.
"Don't want water," I muttered with a frown on my lips.
"You need to drink water," she sighed as she lifted up my glass, holding it up to my lips. I sighed audibly before I took a small sip, pushing the glass away once I was done.
"Your contract is broken, it won't let me sign it," I said as I glared down at the contract with a pout.
"I should hope not, the magic in the contract will prevent you from signing it when you have anything in your system that could impair your actions and thoughts," Queen Elvira said simply as she sat the glass down. "Have you even read it fully?" she questioned.
"Read a few pages," I murmured softly as I squirmed under gaze. "I trust you," I whined softly as I looked at her.
"It's not a matter of trust, it's a matter of foolishness," Queen Elvira said hotly. "I've known my fellow rulers for hundreds of years, however I would not sign a contract from any of them without fully reading it," she stated. Tears pricked my eyes from her scolding as I tried to wipe them away before they fell.
"I'm not stupid," I whispered as I bit my bottom lip to avoid thinking about her words. I hated being emotional, despised it in fact, however whenever I started drinking my emotions like to come out to play.
"I never said you were stupid, I said not reading it is foolishness," Queen Elvira said simply as she grabbed my chin, tilting my head up so that I was looking her in the eyes. "You are a very smart young lady which is why I would hate for not fully reading a contract to hurt you in any single way. I want you to read this and fully know what you are signing up for because I care about you," she said simply as her thumb ran across my cheek, wiping my tears away.
"I don't like your words sometimes, they hurt my feelings and I don't like it," I whispered as I leaned into her touch.
"I will endeavor to make myself clear to you. Sometimes my words are a bit harsh but I only speak that way because I care for you which sometimes affects my actions," Queen Elvira said simply. I sniffled softly as I nodded my head, resting my hand over hers.
I picked up my glass, taking a sip of the water as I leaned back in my seat. I looked up at Queen Elvira as she moved her hand to gently rest on my arm, her thumb rubbing small circles on my arm. She seemed to be lost in thought as she hummed softly.
"Would you consider a trial run?" Queen Elvira asked as she looked down at me. My eyes narrowed in confusion as I looked up at her. "Of the contract, just for tonight to see what you think of it," she suggested.
"Okay," I agreed after a moment of thought. I smiled softly as she shook her head.
"I don't think you even know what you're agreeing to. Have you even read the rules and punishment section?" she questioned, raising an eyebrow. I blushed under her gaze as I bit my bottom lip.
"There's a rules and punishment section?" I asked quietly as I avoided her gaze. She sighed and my gaze flickered to watch as she rubbed the bridge of her nose.
"You are impossible, brat," she stated as she moved her hand to my face, flicking my head. I whined as I rubbed my forehead while looking at her.
"Don't do that, it's really fucking rude," I said as I pouted at her. She raised an eyebrow as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"Watch your language," she said warningly as she looked down at me. I bit my lip as I considered challenging her again, just to get her reaction.
"Fucking rude," I repeated with a small smirk. I tilted my head in confusion when she flicked her hand. I frowned in confusion as my mouth tingled until the taste of soap coated my mouth. I gagged at the taste as she I glared at her in confusion as she ignored my whining, lifting up the contract and flipping through it.
"Read this page for me and tell me what rule you violated," Queen Elvira said simply as she handed me the contract. I continued to glare at her until the taste of soap got too overwhelming. I looked down at the contract, reading over it carefully.
"Not supposed to swear in front of polite company," I said quietly as I pointed to the contract. She nodded her head and flicked her hand again, making the taste disappear. I took a sip of my water as I refused to look her in the eyes.
"You're the one that agreed to test out the contract, I simply followed through with the punishment that was written down," Queen Elvira said.
"I thought you cared about me, soap could poison me and I could die," I huffed as I looked up at her. She rolled her eyes slightly at my dramatics as I slid all the way out of my seat, laying on the floor.
"The spell merely mimics the taste of soap, none of the issues of consuming soap will affect you," she promised. I groaned as I closed my eyes, resting my hand on my head as I stuck my tongue out slightly. I pretended to be dead for another minute until her heel poked my side.
"Whoever made that spell is a monster," I muttered as I opened my eyes. Queen Elvira grinned, an almost feral sort of smile on her face.
"Why thank you, I appreciate the compliment," she said with a small grin as my face paled. I sat up, putting the contract on the desk. I rubbed my eyes as I forced myself to stand up, whining when Queen Elvira grabbed my elbow.
"Let go," I muttered in protest as I pouted at her. She sighed softly as she tucked a loose strand of my hair behind my ear with her free hand.
"You need to go to bed," Queen Elvira said as she sighed softly. "I'll give you ten minutes to get to your room and get in bed before I check on you," she stated simply. I pouted slightly as I watched her leave. I crossed the room after waiting a full minute to make sure that she was gone, locking the door. I was not going to go to bed, even though Queen Elvira wanted me to.
I went back to my desk, sitting down in my chair and starting to look over some more of my paperwork. I managed to get through a few of the less complicated forms when I heard the familiar sound of Queen Elvira's heels clicking on the stone floor. I sank down in my seat as I heard the doorknob rattle, letting out a soft noise of relief when the doorknob stopped rattling.
I yelped when a hand suddenly touched my shoulder, spinning my chair around to see Queen Elvira standing there. I gulped quietly as she flicked her hand and I heard the door open. So she could teleport, that was interesting to know.
"Bed. Now." Her words had a sense of finality in them and I shook my head. I squealed when she sighed softly, suddenly reaching and grabbing my ear. She pulled me out of my study by my ear, ignoring my protests as I tried to squirm away. I was very aware of my guards staring at me and my face felt hot, embarrassment coursing through me.
"You're mean," I huffed once we got to my room, her grip on my ear loosening. I opened the door to my room, planning on shutting the door to my room in her face. She simply moved past me before I could.
"You are a brat," Queen Elvira said simply. I ignored her as I moved to my vanity, braiding my hair back as best as I could. My hair always got tangled together when I slept so I had taken to braiding it to avoid that issue.
"I'm not going to sleep, you can't make me," I informed her once I was done with my braid. My blush was only just starting to die down and I knew the entire castle would know what had happened by morning.
"Of course not," Queen Elvira said simply, amused at my words. "I can, however, spell your door so that it will only open for you when the sun is shining or when there is an emergency," she stated as she flicked her hand. "Just to ensure that you don't sneak out," she said simply.
"I don't like you," I muttered as I headed to my bed, throwing myself down on it dramatically. I buried my face into my blanket as I heard her cross the room, her hand gently moving down my back.
"Thank you darling, I appreciate your sweet words so much," Queen Elvira laughed as she easily lifted my head up so that I was looking at her. She pressed a kiss to my forehead with a small smile.
"Not tired," I muttered as a yawn escaped me. This had to be her magic, I wasn't tired before. I muttered a small protest as she laid my blanket over me, her hand running down my back gently. I groaned softly in protest when she stopped, reaching for her hand to return it to my back. She chuckled wryly and I felt the bed dip as her hand returned to running down my back.
"You're going to give me more gray hairs brat," she murmured fondly, her voice gentle as I drifted off to sleep.
