I'm at the meeting spot. Aka a cabin in the middle of the woods. Today might actually be the day I die.

Praying for my life, I open the door and step in. I see Niccolo, Pietro and others gearing up.

Niccolo's curls are messy and he's not wearing a suit like he usually is. He's wearing a black compression shirt with a bulletproof vest on top and black cargos along with black boots.

Out of nowhere, he throws an AR at me which I catch. "Finally you decide to join us," he says as he clocks the pistol in his hands.

"Well, you brought me to the middle of nowhere," I mumble under my breath and he raises his brows at me.

"Gear up," he orders and nods his heads towards the guns, ammunition, and vests.

I throw on a vest and as I'm tightening the straps, Pietro comes up to me. "Nervous?" he asks. Is it that painfully obvious?

"You're acting like I'm not an assassin," I scoff. Guys, I'm not.

"Just asking, principessa," he chuckles and walks off. What?

I tuck a pistol in my waist and one in my ankle. Then I hide a knife in my other ankle. Better safe than sorry.

"Here," Niccolo mumbles, catching my attention. I look up to see he's holding an earpiece in his hand. "With this you will be able to communicate with Pietro and I. Along with Gia and Stefan."

Gia and Stefan? The Amante's. I read about them in his file. They're not as close to him as Pietro considering he's Niccolo's right hand but they're in the small circle of people that he trusts.

Stefan was assigned to him when he became mafia leader to protect him, not that he needs protecting it's obvious he can do that himself. However, due to that, they got close. Stefan has been on every mission with Niccolo that the MI6 knows of.

Gia, on the other hand, is the mafia's best sniper. As far as I know, she has the best aim and never misses a shot. And because of that, she's been on every mission too.

"Let's go," Niccolo orders as he leaves the cabin. Um? Quickly, I put the earpiece in and catch up with him, walking beside him now.

"You haven't even briefed me on the mission," I scoff. Am I supposed to go in there blind on what's happening?

He glances at me for a second -more like a millisecond- and stays quiet. Oh my- "Okay so if I die it's basically your fault then," I mumble under my breath.

As soon as he stops in his tracks and grabs my arm tightly, I realise that was a pretty stupid and childish of me to say. Oops?

"Watch your attitude," he practically whispers, only for me to hear. Oh. "Got it?"

I pull my arm back and scoff. "Will you tell me now then?" It's clear that he thinks I'm just going to obey everything he says. And like I said, I'm not going in there blind.

Out of nowhere Pietro catches up to us. "We're infiltrating a weapon deal between the Russians and Chinese," he explains.

"I'm guessing we are on China's side?" I assume and Niccolo shakes his head. Oh, so now he wants to tell me?

"We are relatively good with the Russians," he says. Well, that's a surprise. "We made a deal a while back since China has been trying to play the both of us."

I let out a whistle, "Talk about drama."

Pietro lets out a laugh but stops as soon as Niccolo slaps him on the back of the head. I'm guessing the bromance here is dead. At least someone found my joke funny though.

"The Russians have one of them captured and have made it seem like it's from a rival gang," he explains further. "So today we're going to kill them but keep the right hand to find out more on what the Chinese gang have on us."

Pietro claps his hands together and rubs them. "And steal some weapons, don't forget about that." Oh, he cannot be serious.

Niccolo gets into the all blacked out G-Wagon's drivers seat and I get into the passenger seat.

"Oh so you pop out of nowhere and just steal shotgun from me?" Pietro scoffs. "Exactly what you said," I agree, patting his shoulder teasingly before closing the door on him.

Letting out a loud groan of annoyance, he gets in the back and immediately pops his head in between Niccolo and I.

"I can feel your breath fanning on my neck, Pietro," Niccolo grits out, clearly annoyed. Before Pietro can reply, Niccolo elbows him in the face making him move back in pain.

I can't help but burst out in laughter as Pietro starts cussing under his breath in Italian. Got what you deserved.

"Niccolo I'm going to-" Pietro starts to threaten but Niccolo cuts him off. "I hit you lightly, don't whine in my ear, yeah?"

In the back seat, Pietro mimics Niccolo loud enough for us to hear. Does he want to get elbowed in the face again? He finally starts the car and I'm praying that this car ride won't be that long.

"So," Pietro starts and I roll my eyes, "now you know what I have to deal with every day, Azaría. Soon, you're going to feel my pain trust me."

"Così drammatico," Niccolo sighs, making a right turn with one hand on the steering wheel and putting on his sunglasses with the other. Oh.

Okay, maybe Aaliyah isn't wrong. He is- shut up, James is also right. Very right. He's your target, Azaría get your head in the game.

Pietro gasps loudly and to that, Niccolo shakes his head in disappointment. Gosh, they act like brothers.

While them two are distracted; Pietro yapping his ear off and Niccolo rolling his eyes, I pull out a small mic and stick it onto the bottom of my seat.

Niccolo has been seen driving this car everywhere, it seems like it's his so let's hope I'm right and I can get some good information from this.

I hear a static noise coming from the earpiece which scares the shit out of me. Not just me, Pietro and Niccolo too. What the hell was that?

"Sorry guys," a girls voice apologises, letting out a chuckle, her Italian accent rolling off the tongue. "I had to get the earpieces set up." I'm assuming this is Gia.

"ETA two minutes," a guy voice warns. "Alright, you two set up on the designated roof," Niccolo orders. "Got it boss," the guy replies which seems to me like he's Stefan.

Niccolo parks the car abruptly with no warning. "We have to go on foot from here," he says and gets out the car.

"Gosh, is he always in a mood?" I ask Pietro and his eyes widen. Just as he was about to say something, a voice comes through from the earpiece.

"Your earpiece is on, Azaría," he scoffs. Oh. Oops?

"Thanks for the warning," I whisper sarcastically, slapping Pietro's shoulder. "Am I just everyone's punching bag today?" he mumbles to himself.

Letting out a huff, I get out of the car and follow wherever Niccolo is going. I unstrap the AR and hold it in front of me just in case.

"They're at a cargo shipment dock," he tells me. "We're almost there, keep a look out."I nod my head, not bothering to reply.

"We're all set up. Yizé is here, not the Chinese right hand but he's his brother. There are eight men with him and the Russians haven't arrived yet," Gia informs us.

"Perhaps they're fashionably late," I shrug and Niccolo gives me a glance. Just a joke, grumpy pants.

"I like her," Gia chuckles and I smile at her words.

"You haven't even met her yet, relax," Stefan chuckles and I roll my eyes. I guess we have another Niccolo.

I hear a branch break and both Niccolo and I stop walking. "You hear that?" I ask and he nods his head skeptically as he scans the area with his gun up.

My eyes widen when I see a green dot pointed right at Niccolo's chest. Without thinking, I run and throw him to the ground, landing on top of him with his arms around me. A bullet flies right past us, hitting the tree behind where Niccolo was standing.

"Merda," he cusses under his breath. "They know we are here." His green eyes meet with mine and I quickly avert my gaze before things get awkward.

His arms are wrapped around you, this is already awkward Azaría.

A second bullet fires. I get off Niccolo and sit up to see Pietro standing there and a guy on the floor a few feet away. "I'm gone for two minutes and this is what happens?" he chuckles.

Once he meets Niccolo's glare he quickly stops. "I got lost... okay?" Why am I not surprised?

Niccolo stands up and surprisingly he holds out his hand for me. Hesitantly, I take it and he helps me up. He nods his head appreciatively at me and I know that's the best 'thank you' I was going to get.

"Fuck," Stefan mutters through the earpiece. "They heard the gunshots and they're looking nervous."

Niccolo runs his hands through his brunette hair. "C'mon we need to make it before they leave," he says with frustration and continues walking towards the dock.

"Boss, the Russians just made it," Gia says and Pietro lets out a sigh of relief. "This is our chance, the other teams are in place."

We step out of the trees to see countless cargo containers and from here we can see the Russians pull up in an all black SUV.

"Wait for my call," Niccolo orders and Gia and Stefan reply with their 'yes boss'. All three of us have our guns up aiming at the Chinese gang members.

The russians step out of the car. The blonde hair, blue eyed, early thirties guy is evidently the leader as the rest of the guys stand beside him, guns in their hands.

As soon as the supposed leader nods his head, Niccolo gives the call and bullets start firing. In the matter of seconds, bodies drop to the floor leaving Yizé standing, the Chinese right hand man's brother, looking very confused.

"You guys can come out now!" the guy tells with a smirk on his face and we start heading towards them.

"Niccolo?" Yuzé gasps. Is this not some drama show? "I knew you were secretly planning against me," Niccolo scoffs. "You, your brother, the pussy ass leader of yours."

Before he can reply, Pietro smacks his head with his gun and Yuzé passes out on the floor. "Get him to the base," Niccolo orders the men walking towards us and they pick Yuzé up, dragging him away.

"Pleasure doing business with you," the mystery Russian guy says, the smirk still on his face as he eyes me up and down.

"Arseni," he introduces himself, holding out his hand for me to shake, "and who is this beautiful woman I'm looking at?"

Niccolo doesn't waste any time slapping Arseni's hand away. "Watch it," he warns.

"Your name reminds me of the club Arsenal," I wince, getting reminded of how terrible that football club is.

"I didn't know you had such beautiful yet feisty women working with you, Alvera," he says, ignoring my comment, and Niccolo scoffs at his words.

"You came a little late, no?" he questions and Arseni shrugs. "Lost track of time," he replies carelessly.

"I'll get the weapons," Pietro exclaims, practically rushing to the truck the Chinese men had with them.

I lean against Yuzé's bentley and almost scoff as Arseni pathetically eyes me up and down once again.

"Listen, babe," I start and almost laugh at how his eyes widen with lust at the nickname I gave him, "you're like twenty years older than me and I have no interest in you, so you better lower your gaze or I'll stab out both your eyes, got it?"

"Feisty," he muses, his lips tugging into a smile but it quickly drops when Niccolo steps in between us, his tall frame towering over Arseni.

"You heard the woman," Niccolo scoffs, surprising me.

"Tell me what that bitch Yuzé has on me, yeah?" Arseni asks, getting back into the SUV and Niccolo confirms with a stern nod.

Just as the Russians drive away, Niccolo doesn't hesitate to speak up. "I fucking hate that guy, I can't wait to kill him."

"Kill him?" I repeat with my brows furrowed. "Aren't you good with him and the Russian mafia?"

"They're always planning something. I don't know what it is yet but I already don't fucking like it," he utters. "Besides, I just need a reason to kill his sorry ass."

I let out a chuckle at his words. The MI6 knows that there's heat between the Italian and Russian mafia but that's common knowledge. Tensions are high between the UK and Russia right now too.

"Right, can someone bring the car over here and help me unload all these goodies?" Pietro calls out and Niccolo and I share a confused glance.

From what the file said, Pietro Gallo is a responsible right hand man and has killed over two hundred and fifty people. So is this a same Pietro Gallo or?

After Pietro forced me to help him steal all the weapons, we are finally back at the cabin. He wasn't wrong though, there was some valuable stuff in there. They literally had an RPG.

The door opens, a girl and guy walk in with pizza boxes in their hands. "You're welcome, fatties," the girl laughs, setting the food down at the table. I recognise the voice to be Gia. She has short, brown hair that match with her brown eyes and contrast well with her pale skin. There's a slit in her brows but it's made from a scar that is still visible. Damn.

She catches me looking her up and down and heads towards me. Oh, fuck. "Gia," she smiles, holding out her hand. "Azaría," I reply and shake her hand that is covered in silver rings.

"Heard you saved the famous Niccolo Alvera's life," she teases and Niccolo looks up at her words before going back to checking the ammunition in his pistol.

"Guess he owes me," I shrug and she raises her brows. "That's a first," she mutters and hands me a slice of pizza. Gosh, I'm hungry.

My eyes then fall on Stefan who's looking at me skeptically. His hair is dark brown although he has a buzz cut, his eyes are a pretty hazel colour that go well with his brown skin tone. "Cut it, you're creeping her out," Gia scolds, slapping his shoulder.

"Just never heard of Niccolo owing anyone," he shrugs, his brows furrowed.

"It's just a joke," I smile and turn to Niccolo only to see that his eyes were already on me.

"I'll go now," I say, standing up. "Thanks for the pizza though and it was nice meeting all of you guys. If I was stuck with just Pietro, I'd lose all my brain cells." In response, he glares at me but I just laugh. What? It's true.

"Don't worry girl, I got you," Gia replies with a playful wink. At least I got a girl here with me. But I guess it doesn't matter in the end since it's going to be me turning them all in.

Just as I open the door, Niccolo speaks up. "Keep that phone on you, there will be missions coming up." I nod my head at him with a slight smile and walk out.

Today was something.
