~°°~A sweet spot outside your comfort zone~°°~

Wuse 2, Abuja, Nigeria. 2nd March, 2022. 7:00am ~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~ Preparations to leave for Gombe were going on at Tauhida's home, they were all leaving Abuja, probably for good. Tauhida just sat in her room as she watched her cousins go up and down packing her stuffs for her. They would ask her if she didn't need some of them and she would either nod or shake her head, to a point she stopped responding at all.

Imran still haven't agreed with his uncles regarding their sudden decision to leave Abuja. They had to stay back until the culprits get caught and he promised he would see it till it happens.

"Kawu you cannot do it, I'm saying it again. Even if Tauhida is to follow then I'm not going anywhere" Imran said again for the umpteenth time that day.

"Wai Imran don't you know about tawakkal" his uncle asked him. They just don't get him, if it was about tawakkal he would have let it go but the fact that the people who did that to them were still roaming about freely and could repeat the same to other people was definitely not okay for Imran. But rather than explaining that to his uncles, he didn't because he believed they should have enough sense to realise that themselves.

"Kawu I just don't care, I want justice and I'm getting it" Imran said with finality in his voice. "Imran you..."

"Someone is here to see you ya Imran" Imran's cousin voiced coming into the parlour. Imran didn't hesitate to stand up from his position because he was the one who asked Sayf to come see him immediately.

"Excuse me" Imran said to his uncles as he walked out of the parlour. He didn't intend to disrespect them but he had to do what he had on his mind even if it meant the end of his happiness.

Imran met Sayf outside and invited him in into his room, he claimed that Sayf was very important to them to be left outside like a stranger.

"What's the problem?" Sayf asked after they settled in the room when he noticed that Imran wouldn't start the conversation. "I want you to stop Tauhida from leaving, however you want to do it" Imran said what was in his mind.

"I can stop myself from leaving Abuja if I want but they'll never allow her to stay and the last thing I want to do is get separated from Tauhida for a long time, she's all I have after all" Imran completed.

"How do you expect me to do that? What can I possibly do to stop her from leaving?" Sayf asked the two questions simultaneously. "I don't know of that but there must be a way out" Imran replied.

Sayf became silent not knowing what to say, he doesn't have any method to stop Tauhida from leaving. He planned to follow her wherever she might go in the world just to make her his but not stop her from leaving at all.

"Marry her!" Imran suddenly said making Sayf's eyes to almost bulge out of their sockets. "Say what now?" Sayf asked. "I said marry her Sayf, it is the only way to keep her here" Imran replied.

"No Imran, how do you expect me to marry someone in just some hours, minutes if I may add because they will be leaving in less than an hour now" Sayf objected.

"Exactly, marriage won't take up to an hour to take place, gladly our uncles are here and our cousins as witnesses too, all we need is the waliy from your side and an imam" Imran insisted. "And her consent ba, you don't expect me to get married to her without her consent do you?" Sayf reminded Imran.

Imran hasn't thought of that yet, he was just hellbent on finding a way not to make Tauhida to leave.

"That shouldn't be a problem major, we can just go ask now" Imran said making Sayf to wide his eyes in shock "you have no idea about what you're saying, I'm going home" Sayf said getting up on his feets to exit the room.

"Please, please do it for us. I believe you will keep her happy and you'll never do anything to hurt her so please do it. You're the only person who I believe would agree that's why I called you but if you refuse now you'll make me not look for you if I ever have a problem I want to solve so please do it" Imran said, he wouldn't give up except when Sayf himself disagrees.

"You don't understand Imran"

"I do, wallahi I do Sayf but please at least try" Imran pleaded.

"Okay"

He had no idea how to start asking her nor what he will say to make her agree but he knew he would do it. Imran got off his bed giving Sayf a side hug, thanking him over and over again.

After that, the two left the room and headed towards Tauhida's room to know what Allah decided for them. Whatever might be the answer, they believed it was Khair for both of them.

The two said the taslim entering the room together. Imran excused the three female cousins there who kept staring at Sayf like an alien admiring his elegance to give them privacy.

"Tauhida, we have something to say to you" Imran started. "That's not how you should start it" Sayf whispered to himself because he felt that wasn't a good sentence to start the conversation, it only made him more nervous. Sayf looked up to see Tauhida and found her looking at him too, they took minutes looking into each other's eyes exchanging a conversation.

They didn't speak with words but they knew what and what they wanted to say to each other.

Tauhida broke the contact after few minutes to type something on her phone. "I have been fine and I'm still fine, thanks for asking" She typed and showed him the screen with a smile on her face, he read it and couldn't help but also smile at her. It was so comforting that she knew what he wanted to ask without even asking.

"How did you know what I wanted to ask?" Sayf asked her with his voice, imran took that as his cue to give them some space so he entered Tauhida's closet and sat there.

Tauhida typed again on her phone and showed Sayf the screen "now that I am like this, silence seems to speak louder than words" It read.

"Be my wife Tauhida, please" Sayf finally said scared of knowing the answer. He dared not to look into her eyes because he realised he could read her eyes and tell what she wanted to say. "I am not promising anything but I will make sure I keep you happy, I will make sure to break down your walls, I will make sure to love and care for you with all my heart and I will make sure you find trust in me because these are all I have to offer to you" Sayf added.

He watched as she kept looking at him for seconds before she typed something on her phone.

"The only things you have to offer are the only things I need and want in my life at the moment" It read. Tauhida typed again and the screen showed "do you mind calling ya Imran?" Sayf shook his head at that and called out Imran's rank name 'captain' making Imran to come out of the closet.

Tauhida's eyes were already crystal with tears but she weirdly had a smile on her face. She typed again on the phone before turning the screen to Imran to read it.

"It's a dream come true ya Imran. You once said to me that the guys I dream about don't exist and I replied that they do and you are one of them right? Well I just found my prince charming, a handsome and caring soldier" Imran read, he wished he read it out loud to Sayf but who was he to tell him the answer anyways.

He just smiled instead as his eyes also got crystallized. Sayf just sat there wondering what was making both of them so emotional, one was close to tears and the other was already in tears.

"That's one boring proposal you got there major, you should practice and do it again after we get married. I might just divorce you if it is otherwise" Tauhida typed and showed the screen to Sayf making him to chuckle.

Tauhida didn't care about anything except the fact that she believed he would do all the things he said which was what all she needed. She needed care, love, happiness, trust, strength and respect even if she doesn't have a way to return them back.

Sayf couldn't define his happiness, not everyone will be as lucky as he was with what they love. He had that gut feeling that he would get to make her his but he didn't know it would be that easy. But nevertheless, he was glad it came easy to him and he made his mind never to let anything to come between them, he will make sure she gets everything he said he will give her.

"One thing about this, you're getting married now" Imran mentioned to Tauhida, she chuckled and typed again "it doesn't matter" It read. "Alhamdulillah" Sayf kept muttering silently as Imran joined him too.

"I want that watch on your hand to be my sadaq, will you give it to me?" Tauhida typed. Sayf didn't reply her but instead, removed the watch and passed it to her. Her lips separated to show "thank you" on her lips and even without the voice, he read her lips and understood what she said.

"We should go now" Imran said to Sayf after minutes of silence.

"Okay, take care" Sayf replied and said the latter to Tauhida. "I will" Tauhida typed. And with that, the two guys stepped out of the room, each with happy hearts.

Sayf immediately gave a call to his mother and told her everything. As understanding as she was, she agreed and promised to let his uncles know so they'll be there.

In less than 30 minutes, Sayf's two paternal uncles came to Tauhida's place with an imam. It was easier because Imran explained to his uncles about the marriage before they arrived, he managed to convince them saying it was what she needed.

The two families sat down in the parlour and did the processes. With the waliys and witnesses, the knot got tied.

It wasn't a love marriage nor an arranged marriage and definitely not a business deal but it was tied anyways. It was the one way ticket for Sayf and Tauhida to be together forever.

~°°~A sweet spot outside your comfort zone~°°~

~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~ Tauhida decided to please us today didn't she, she decided to choose Sayf who was definitely just like a sweet spot outside her comfort zone.

Do you like the chapter?

If you don't then I do because now I see that dreams come true. Tauhida dreamt that she'll get a prince charming and she did, the easiest way.

But this is not the end of it, there's more dramas to come.

Compliments to the authoress please, it wasn't easy and I can't believe I reached 25 chapters already.

Also vote, comment and share my book to friends and family. Lots of love,
