~°°~Greater than a mountain made of gold~°°~
Cornerstone Specialist hospital, Wuse, Abuja, Nigeria. 17th March, 2022. 7:33am. ~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~
"Masha Allah major, I think you'll be going back home today" The doctor stated after checking his condition. As of Tauhida, she was discharged after a day of being in the hospital, her condition wasn't that critical to have stayed longer.
That moment, Ruha and Tauhida were together with Sayf in his hospital room when the doctor came in for his round.
"Okay, thank you" Sayf replied. Truth be told, he himself knew he was fine enough to be discharged even though his wounds were yet to heal completely. "You're welcome, you'll come back in a week to get the wounds disinfected again and also get a new dosage of medicine because I can guess this one will finish by then" The doctor explained.
Sayf could only nod to what he said so the doctor continued with his statements. "I'll process your discharge now so you can get home, Allah's shifa" The doctor completed grinning from ear to ear. One thing Sayf noticed was that the doctor was trying to take advantage of his identity but he ignored it anyways.
Even though he had the intention of donating to the hospital, he doesn't want to give the man a single penny because he didn't look trustworthy.
"Thank you doctor" Ruha said before the doctor stepped out of the room with two of the nurses he came with.
Tauhida remained silent all the time because Ruha was present and no doubt the respect Tauhida had for the woman wouldn't let her talk just anyhow she wanted. Also because she had already started getting used to being silent, things that happen when you don't get to speak even when you want to.
"I'll go back home now, you two should wait until the discharge is processed. I'll send a driver to come pick you up" Ruha said picking up the food basket by the side of Sayf's bed.
"Let me help you with that Mami" Tauhida offered before collecting the basket from her hand, Ruha didn't even realise until it happened.
"Okay then, get home soon" Ruha said referring the former to Tauhida while the latter to Sayf. "Bye Mami" Sayf said as Ruha headed out of the door first. "I can't believe you're ditching me for her" Sayf said almost immediately after Ruha stepped out and Tauhida could swear she heard him.
"Sayf!!" Tauhida called in a warning tone before also dashing out of the room.
How a sick person can be so shameless was still a mystery unsolved to Tauhida. Tauhida escorted Ruha to the car where a driver was waiting for her and they drove away before Tauhida returned back into the hospital and to Sayf's room.
"You should try and smile more often" Sayf said when she came into the room and didn't utter a word to him but rather started packing their other stuffs getting ready to leave. "Says someone who spent years of his life without smiling once" Tauhida replied.
"I'm a guy, a soldier at that. If I keep smiling people will take me for a fool" Sayf chuckled. "That you are" Tauhida mumbled almost to Sayf's hearing. "You say?" Sayf asked. "I said how sweet" Tauhida quickly replied. "I can swear that was not what you said but never mind, beautiful ladies don't offend me" Sayf said making Tauhida to turn to look at him with a piercing gaze.
"Beautiful ladies you said?" Tauhida asked. "No I said how sweet" Sayf replied putting a smirk on his face. It was official, only mr. soldier is capable of annoying Tauhida to the core.
"But is that jealousy I smell" Sayf added still earning a glare from her. "I'll pretend I did not hear" Tauhida eyed before turning her gaze back to what she was doing.
"Roohiie" Sayf called but Tauhida totally ignored him. "Roohiie" He called again but she didn't turn, even though the way he said the name ran chills down her spine, she decided to ignore it.
Suddenly, Sayf started gasping for air making Tauhida to panick and run to him. "Sayf, Sayf what's wrong?" Tauhida asked as she held him by the back, tears filled her eyes even before she realised it. "Hey Roohiie don't cry, I was just pulling your legs" Sayf said when he noticed she was on the verge of tears.
Tauhida didn't say anything but rather burst out in tears as she dropped herself into his embrace. One thing she was very afraid of was loosing someone again and that someone should definitely not be Sayf.
"Shhh, it's fine" Sayf said when he realised what he caused, he made her to go back to that zone once again which wasn't what he planned. "I'm sorry, it's fine" He said again patting her head gently. His words and actions worked the miracle as she pulled out and cleaned her tears.
"Sit with me" Sayf offered and she did so because she wanted to. "Even though I met other beautiful women, you're still the most beautiful woman I have ever met and guess what, my heart is still with you. So when do you intend on giving me back?" Sayf said to Tauhida who was playing with her fingers. She was still yet to get used to the cuddling and stuffs.
"Not anytime soon and I know" Tauhida whispered but Sayf heard it. "Okay with me. One thing that is not okay though, we have to work on that 'Sayf' you call me with" Sayf started again, Tauhida raised her head and gave him the confused look not understanding what he said.
"Baby will do" Sayf blurted making Tauhida to choke on her spit, the guy must be kidding.
"Sayf what the hell" Tauhida semi shouted after controlling her cough, all the while Sayf was laughing. "Tauhida calm, nip, cool, chill" Sayf stated to the fuming Tauhida. "I should just get into a fridge then" Tauhida said rolling her eyes, the guy was seriously annoying.
"And for your information, I'm not calling you baby or whatever" Tauhida said before moving back into his arms. "Not fair" Sayf replied.
"Let me complete what I started" Tauhida replied before hopping off the bed even before Sayf could stop her, she could do anything to avoid the conversation.
"I'm indeed the luckiest husband in the world" Sayf whispered to himself.

Driving into the Nigerian police divisional headquarters, the two alighted the car and headed into the detention department.
Sayf decided to talk to Marwan before going back home because he had to hear his reasons for doing whatever he did. No doubt, Sayf knew the guy doesn't like him but nevertheless he'd like to give him a chance, the one chance everyone deserves.
"Assalamu Alaikum Marwan" Sayf greeted when Marwan was brought into the room and handcuffed to the table while the two sat by the other side, out of Marwan's reach incase he'll think of harming any of them.
"You coward, release me and face me like the man you should be" Marwan spurted. Yes, the fear he once had was all gone, he doesn't fear Sayf one bit again.
"No real man gets in a fight with his brother" Sayf said. "You're not my brother, you snatched everything that was supposed to be mine and made our own father deprive us of our rights so you're in no way my brother" Marwan said, his lips dark as always because of his smoking behaviour quivered in anger.
"Where's Momma Aaliyah, Abbas and Muna?" Sayf asked ignoring the bad things Marwan said which was likely Marwan's fault. "I don't know where they are" Marwan replied. "What do you mean you don't know?" Sayf asked.
"I said I don't know, I've not seen them ever since we left home. We parted ways the very next day we left" Marwan talked with a stern tone, he didn't feel anything close to bad about the whole issue.
"You've done more harm than I will ever think of Marwan, you destroyed your life from the very beginning and to think that I expected you to take good care of your mother and siblings but you also failed to do just that" Sayf stated in disbelief.
Even though Marwan was a bad egg, he knew he loved his mother and siblings but then money could change anything. He decided to run away with the little they had and seek for revenge which landed him in the trouble he was.
"Let's meet in court Marwan, you will pay for all the wrong you've done" Sayf said getting up from the seat, all the while Tauhida was just watching them without a word or action. Sayf gave up giving Marwan a chance the moment he realised he didn't care about his lonely mother, he'd rather let him face what he caused upon himself.
"You'll never see anything good in life Sayf because this is not the end of it" Marwan shouted as the two left the room without a word again from Sayf.
If disbelief was a person, then It would definitely be Sayf at the moment. He couldn't believe someone can actually be as bad as Marwan but who was he kidding, there were a lot worse people than him.
The next person the two went to visit at the headquarters was none other than that one person Tauhida had always been curious about ever since they met; Iman.
