Gwarinpa, Abuja, Nigeria. 19th March, 2022 9:18am ~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~ "Hey wake up already" Tauhida tapped Sayf's sleeping figure with her hands. "No please no" Sayf grunted and took another sleeping position, one he knew would be comfortable for him.

"Sayf" Tauhida called again in a warning tone.

"Finally getting a peace of mind after months but my darling wife doesn't want me to sleep" Sayf said still with closed eyes. Tauhida knew he wanted to sleep before the time to go back to work comes, which was in less than a month.

Tauhida knew, and she wouldn't deny it that she didn't want Sayf to get far away from her. Even though he talked about leaving the army himself, she stopped him from thinking such because the last thing she wanted was him leaving behind his country's safety for her sake. What she didn't know was that he joined the army not because he wanted to but because he had no where else to run to when the problem of his life struck him, the army was the only place to hide.

"It's today" Tauhida finally said the only thing she knew would make him wake up that instant and he did.

Sayf sat up straight and dragged Tauhida into his embrace. "I know how strong you've been, today will insha Allah be a piece of cake. They'll get what they deserve, that I will make sure of it" Sayf said.

"You think?" Tauhida asked. "Undoubtedly" Sayf replied making Tauhida to sigh. She knew she had to stay strong, if not the day would not be a good one for her.

"Take a bath, I'll go take one too" Tauhida said breaking the embrace, Sayf nodded and placed a light kiss on her forehead before moving out of bed to his bathroom. Tauhida stood up and left to her room too so that she'll be ready on time.

After some minutes, Amani and Layla came knocking at Tauhida's door.

"Adda good morning" The two greeted coming into the room, it wasn't a surprise that they didn't meet at all that morning because the two had been sleeping and woke up only to bath and get ready for the court. Amani and Layla decided they would share a room ever since they were rescued from their brother and so Layla moved to Amani's room which made their morning time to be almost the same.

"Morning you two" Tauhida replied as they hugged her each by the side, Amani hugged her left while Layla her right.

"Are we ready to leave?" Tauhida asked the two. "Mommas are all ready but ya Sayf is yet to be out of that hell of a room" Amani replied making Tauhida to chuckle. "I'll go get him while we meet you downstairs okay?" Tauhida said and they nodded before moving out of the room.

Tauhida as intended did not take anything with her, not even her phone. For all she knew was that she could forget the phone after been driven into the world she didn't want to enter but she knew for that day that nothing could possibly stop it so it was only natural that she got ready for it.

"Shall we?" Sayf voiced, Tauhida met him by the door trying to go out too. "Sure" Tauhida replied as they headed down the stairs and met the others.

Together they grouped out of the apartment to the parking lot where they took three cars and drove to Zone 4, Magistrate court, Wuse.

The conference of people stood up in respect to the judge who just walked in the court room with two police officers, the judge sat down on his seat and also the people there.

It took less than a minute before the culprits were also brought into the court room and kept in the witness stand.

"My Lord, we are here on this day 19th of March, year 2022 because of the murder case of Alamin Nura Borodo, Jamila Alamin Borodo and Rumaisa Alamin Borodo on 25th February of the said year. Prime suspects are Hafsa Jairo and Bashir Ahmad who have been detained for a week now" The court registrar started as an attempt to introduce the case to the judge.

"We'll start by hearing from the plaintiff" The judge said.

"Thank you my lord, I'll like to question the suspects with your permission my Lord" Imran's lawyer started. "You have my permission" The judge said and the lawyer moved closer to the witness stand where the two suspects were kept. The Qur'an was brought forth for the two as they took an oath to say nothing but the truth.

"Why did you kill them?" The lawyer asked no one in particular because that question was opened for any of the two suspects.

"We wasn't kill them" Bashir said in his tried English, something you expect from an illiterate. "Okay, why did you order some people to kill them?" The lawyer changed the form of the question.

"I said we wasn't do it, why is you people trying to turn the this on us when we is clearly knew Tauhida is one killing them" Bashir shouted in the courtroom.

"The last time I checked you two were the only people who were not found in the house, and when you were finally found it was at the airport. For a maid and gateman to get a money to travel all the way from Nigeria to London, where did you get the money?" The lawyer threw another question towards them.

Hafsa had been silent throughout because from what she realised was that she could spill the beans if she had opened her mouth to speak.

"We is save mine salary" Bashir replied. "Okay. Malama hafsa, will you mind telling me why you were trying to run with a different man when you had your husband to begin with? and he clearly said he didn't divorce you, not even once" The lawyer asked again.

Yes, Imran and Tauhida's lawyer was ready for the case and he had all the confidence he needed because after all, there was no defendant in the case.

Imran made sure those two ungrateful people did not get any lawyer to defend them.

"I, I, I......" Hafsa stammered, she was never a stammerer. "My Lord, these two people are trying to play with our minds. We have submitted a report of the account balance of these two which never had any money more than a 50 thousand which was their salary amount until on 25th February when suddenly the amounts of their accounts turned to billions.

And also my lord, these two people forgot about the two security cameras at the gate of the house which clearly took how Malam Bashir opened the gate for the five people who killed the family and also how they escaped together immediately after the murder of three people. My Lord, I hope that just these concrete proofs are enough that Hafsa Jairo and Bashir Ahmad were the ones who conspired with five others to kill the family of Alhaji Alamin Nura Borodo, thank you" The lawyer said before moving back to his seat.

Hafsa started crying almost immediately after the camera footage of how Bashir opened the gate to Tauhida's home was projected in the courtroom, for everyone to see.

"Wayyo Allah na, na shiga uku (Oh my God, I'm doomed)" Hafsa cried. "Silence" The judge ordered before starting to type on his system.

"After the presentation of all proofs and evidences, the court has demanded the investigation of the other five culprits in this case and also the relationship between the two suspects. If any unlawful relationship is found between them, the court has sentenced them to death by stoning because of the validity of each of their marriages and if no relationship is confirmed, the court has sentenced these two people death by hanging for killing three innocent people on the 25th of February, 2022" the judge said before banging the gavel on the table and walking out of the room almost immediately after that.

Tauhida had to burst into tears.

Yes, the memories of her parents came with full force that she had to. She thought what the court session would trigger would not be as that painful but unfortunately she was wrong, it hurt worse than she expected.

Sayf on seeing that took her hands and led her out of the courtroom. "Leave without us, we have somewhere to be" Sayf said to the rest immediately before they left the courtroom hand in hand.

They entered the car and Sayf drove off all the while one of his hands in Tauhida's. They didn't get to stop until after they reached a cliff top, a one with the most beautiful view of the city of Abuja.

"Do you know my first impression about you?" Sayf asked after they have sat down of the prayer mat he spread for them. Tauhida shook her head in response.

"She's kinda cute but also kinda dangerous" Sayf replied making Tauhida to chuckle. "The first time I ever saw you was at the mall, and what you did to the poor guy who was flirting was rather the work of only dangerous people" Sayf said making Tauhida to chuckle once again.

"You get hurt when you run away from the fear of getting hurt, dwell in the moment and remember them all you want but instead of being sad about them not being here anymore, be glad that you cherished them while they remained and also that you have high hopes of them being in the ni'imah of Jannah" Sayf said literally all Tauhida needed to hear, was it that she didn't realise it or just that she feared it wasn't true.

Now that she knew it, she had enough reasons to be proud. Proud because she got to spend the moment with one of the best people in the world before they returned back to the Lord.

Tauhida realised then that she was wrong about what she had thought of the day. Initially, she thought that nothing could possibly stop her from going down her uncomfortable zone but Sayf did it. Not with a passage of words but with few sentences, ones she never expected would do the miracle.
