Vera's POV

For the past three weeks Mrs Juli, mother and I had been taking turns to look after Julius. Mother took morning , Mrs Juli took afternoon and I took the evenings till the next morning.

Mom left after much persuasion but she promised to come check on Julius when he recovers .

The doctor said he had been improving and little movements he did were a sign that his brain was finally sending waves and his nerves were finally waking up, soon enough he would be awake.

I was so happy to hear the news and call me crazy but I had developed the habit of talking to him even when I knew he wasn't listening.

It allowed me to say alot of things I was never able to.

Aldonis has been coming to see Julius, but rarely.

He had to take up the mafia in Julius's absence and the investigation that was ongoing.

Turns out the house was burnt down so we were moved to one of Mr Chrysantos's old houses before he moved to his current one. He had gone back home but was helping with the investigation as best he could. The burnt house was being searched for clues but i wasn't keeping up with any of them.

"You know you really need to get up. We still haven't talked about why you kissed me in front of everyone"

I sat on his bed talking away to him like I did every evening.

"I'm not saying I didn't like it " I looked away blushing

"But in front of everyone. You were never the one to care about people I know. But you care about me. You know at first you were rude , arrogant and uptight. You made me cry a few times. I hated you . Well not you just how you were . But now I think I love you"

I sighed standing

"I could have told you on your birthday and I wish I did . Then I would have known you knew my true feelings before this happened. Now I don't know when I would get to see your beautiful smile again" I paced around the room Asi wiped a single tear that dropped

"I probably won't tell you so it's better like this. And now I'm telling you and at the same time I'm not.

I'm so smart"

I turned to face him. I walked up to him. I stared at his face and didn't think twice before leaning into him and pecking him softly on his lips .

I pulled away

"That was revenge for kissing me without permission. Now we are even. You're actually a good kisser and I did like it.

But sadly you won't know."

I turned away form him

"There's no way you would ever find out"

I would never tell him how much I enjoyed his kisses.

"I think he knows" I jerked once I heard the familiar husky voice as I spun around to see him staring up at me grinning like a child.

"Oh my gosh your awake" I went to him and helped him sit up against the head board.

"Are you feeling pain? Ill go and call the doctor"

I stood but was pulled back by my wrist .

"You didn't answer me" I looked away

"I-i Let me call mother "

"Give me a kiss then I'll tell you where hurts"

I blinked at him

"Let me go call everyone Julius"

"Okay go ahead then I'll come with you" He tried getting up but I placed my hands against his chest stopping him

"No You have to stay in bed"

He rested back.

"If you want me to stay then kiss me"

"You just woke up h-"

"Oh so you can kiss me when I'm unconscious but you can't kiss me when I'm awake. How is that fair?"

"Exactl-"

Mother walked in with Aldonis behind her. She rushed to Julius and I got up from the bed to give her room. She hugged him and placed kisses all over his face .

"This particular place is for her kiss" He made a circular motion with his fingers around his mouth and my cheeks went red as Aldonis and mother looked at me.

"You just woke up and you have started teasing your wife" Mother shook her head at him

"How are you boss?"

"I'm good. We're you able to find out what started the fire?"

"No no no. No talking right now. He needs his rest. You and Aldonis can talk later but now let him rest. I'll send a bowl of soup up for you"

Mum and Aldonis left the room and I looked to see Julius staring at me.

Third person POV

Julius motioned for Vera to come over and she did reluctantly

She sat at the edge of his bed

"Now for my kiss. You know I preserved my lips just for you"

"I need to-"

He didn't let her finish before pulling her into the bed with him and holding unto her.

"What are you doing?"

She fained anger as her cheeks turned a bright red from being so close to him.

"Give me my kiss and I'll let you go"

He held unto her not giving her room to slip out.

Vera stared into his eyes as she shyly moved upwards and he captured her lips . They began slowly and passionately before it began hungrily as he bit her lower lip for entrance and she allowed him access. His hands went under her top as he caressed her skin and she fisted his hair

It turned into a full make out as Vera realeased suppressed moans of pleasure form Julius's touches and her skin burnt under his touch .Her moans made him continue and they were too busy to notice the door had been opened

"Oh good heavens! Not again" Aldonis cursed as he faced away from the scene

"What happened to you wanting to start knocking" Julius practically grumbled.

Vera on the other hand was as red as a tomato as she looked flustered.

"I'll just come back later"

Aldonis covered his eyes as he struggled to find the door handle before he shut the door.

Julius looked down at Vera's flustered and bright red face .

"Your blush is so cute on you"

Her dove eyes peered up at him as he pinched her jaw and connected there lips once more.

Vera pulled away seconds after and rolled out of the bed scurrying out of the room

"You can go. That was enough for now "

He knew very well that she heard him as she turned revealing her swollen lips before she shut the door.
