Julius's POV

"Julius is here! "

I heard a familiar voice announce as we walked into the house after the door was opened by one of the maids.

I kept my eyes trained on Vera as I noticed she visibly tensed seeing everyone. I placed my hand on the small of her back keeping her close to me.

We walked further in and mum was the first to come give me a hug.

"How are you sweetheart? "

"I'm good mum"

"Of course you're good. When Vera is with you You'll always be fine

My my Vera this dress looks so good on you"

Vera smiled sweetly at mum but I could still see the nervousness on her face

"Julius can't even keep his eyes off her"

I looked to the source of the voices to see my two aunts walking over to us along with grandma

"nonna" I embraced my grandma

"How are you my dear? "

"I'm doing great nonna"

She looked to Vera who was talking with mum and the rest of my aunts

"She's your wife? "

Vera's dove eyes stared at us like she was begging nonna to say something and relieve her of her fear

"Yes nonn-"

"She's so beautiful" Nonna cut me short taking Vera's hands in hers "Big hips Great for child birth

Slender figure"

"buona giornata nonnina"(Italian) Good day granny

" and she's smart too.

No wonder Julius is so in love "

I blinked down at granny

"It's as clear as day. She's the full package

Violet why don't you look for a wife for Uzziah and Denzell.

You have such good taste"

"Thank you mother"

I couldn't help the smile that crept unto my face when I saw Vera's smile.

Granny took Vera to sit down and all the while they talked she kept staring at me with a smile that brightened her face.

"Hey coz" I looked to see Uzziah beside me. We exchanged hugs patting each other at the back

"How have you been Uzziah? "

"I'm okay Still single"

We chucked. Uzziah wasn't your typical guy. He was good looking and made girls trip over him but he had a long record as a player. His mother didn't like that so she made sure all the girls he played around with could never be found by him as she has been looking for a wife for him. She didn't need one of them coming to spoil her plans

She even asked mum for help

"If you weren't such a player You won't be single "

"It's not my fault that I know how to appreciate a woman"

I raised a brow at him and he chuckled. He grew silent for a while looking beside me and I trailed his eyes to Vera who stood beside me staring at Uzziah

"Hey doll. Did you have fun? "

"Rather not say" Her cheeks were bright pink and I could only wonder what grandma talked to her about

"I don't think we've met. I'm Uzziah"

He brought out his hand to Vera staring at her. The way he looked at her made my jaw tighten.

"Vera" She accepted his hand smiling sweetly

"Julius's cousin"

"Wife"

I could see the shock on his face as he looked her from head to toe before his eyes went back to hers

"He's a lucky man"

"Sorry? "

He spoke under his breath but Vera didn't hear and I wished I didn't either.

"Did I miss something? " Denzell joined and I introduced him to Vera

"Hermosa" He placed a kiss on her knuckles and i couldn't help but feel jealous.

Everyone was admiring her and I thought I would be happy but i was regretting it. It was only the smile on her face that kept me sane at this point

I placed my hand at the small of her back keeping her by my side as I looked at the two boys in front of me clearly flirting with my wife

"Where's uncle? "

"He couldn't make it but he'll be here on the last day to say hello before we leave"

"Dinner! " Aunt Janice announced and we walked into the dining hall.

After dinner we all sat in the living room as the maids served us drinks.

I had vodka while Vera had whine. We sat in the same couch. She rested in to my chest while my hands were around her carressing her side.

"Are you okay? "

She asked looking at me with concern filled in her eyes

"I'm okay doll Don't worry about it"

She nodded looking on while I kept my eyes trained on Uzziah who kept staring at her.

"So you still haven't told us where you got such a gorgeous girl for Julius form Violet"

Aunt Janice spoke seated with her husband like Vera and I were

"It's just my luck

I knew from the onset that Vera would be perfect for My Julius.

He was clearly smitten my her from the beginning and it was a good sign"

"Really? " Vera looked at me

"Actually yes But I never admitted it "

"You were too stubborn"

"I'm not stubborn.

I just found it hard to admit how hard I actually fell for you"

I remembered how things were

"I actually never apologized for that party."

She placed a finger on my lips

"It's okay.

Don't bring up the past"

She snuggled closer to me and I took in her sweet scent of roses and jasmine.

She played cutely with my fingers while everyone else continues talking

"It's getting late

You all can retire to your rooms now"

"Rooms? " Vera looked at me confused

"Yes rooms

You all stay here for a week"

"But we didn't bring any clothes along with us"

"That's no problem doll. You can wear my clothes"

She looked up at me her face bright red.

"Hey hey

Don't make my grand daughter in law blush here.

You have a room for a reason"

Vera's face turned tomato red and I as well as everyone else laughed at her cuteness.

Along with everyone we retired to our rooms after having our drink and Vera was a little tipsy after insisting on tasting my vodka.

She was a light weight.

She was mumbling and giggling hysterically.

I carried her in my arms up to our room.

When we got there I sat her down on the bed and helped remove her shoes.

"My head is spinning" She whined pouting like a baby

"That's what happens when you finish my vodka and it's your first time drinking"

"Your mean" She looked up at me pouting

"How am I mean doll? "

"You didn't stop me"

"Okay I'm sorry now go change."

I walked over to the closet. I checked my lounge wears and brought out my favourite white hoodie and came back out.

"Here doll Go change so we can go to bed"

She took it hopping on the ball of her feet

"Oohh It's pretty"

She started taking off her clothes and i was getting hard instantly.

"D-doll you have to go into the closet"

She looked over her shoulders at me

"Why

You can help me you know"

I blinked at her wondering if I heard her well.

I walked up behing her leaning into the crook of her neck I traced kisses down her neck while pulling down her dress from the hand of her gown

She turned her neck to the opposite direction giving me more access and I smiled loving this Vera . I sucked on her skin making her moan. She threw her head back in pleasure.

Her dress fell down to the floor and I stared at her. Holding her face I connected our lips all while she responded.

My hands around her waist and hers in my hair. We made out against the wall and were left panting when we pulled apart.

I helped her slip into my hoodie and it looked so cute with her flustered face.

I slipped out of my suit jacket and t shirt. Carrying her in my arms

We got into bed And cuddled, making out until she fell asleep.

I used my finger to carressing her cheek as in stared at the most beautiful woman in my arms. I stared wondering how I was blessed with Vera. I hadn't done anything to deserve her but yet here she was laying in my arms all mine.

I was going to thank whatever gave her to me for as long as I lived

She's all I need
