"Is that her?" "Oh my god, she's all grown up." "Look how cute she is." "I can't believe shes back." "Move bro I can't see." That was only a few things I heard while standing in front of the boys. I was blushing profusely and I didn't even know why.
"Boys, enough your scaring the poor girl." Dad said, chuckling lightly, "Now, introduce yourselves." He said, sending daggers to some of the boys, almost like a signal.
I focused my attention on the group while they talked.
"I'm Matteo, i'm the oldest at 25." Matteo said. He had the same gray eyes as mine. Actually his entire face was just like mine. Maybe that's why Andrea said what he said. Matteo's eyes were cold, like he was holding something back. I sent him a small smile but he looked away. Matteo was probably 6'5. He was just as tall as dad was.
"You already know me, Im Andrea, the second oldest at 21." he said with a smile. I returned it and he winked at me. I laughed and then a load of "Awes." erupted from a few of the boys.
"Luca. 20." Luca says, unamused with the whole situation. He rolled his eyes at me and dug his phone out of his pocket. warm welcoming brother. Luca had blue eyes and they were actually really pretty. He was like 6'3.
"Im Daniel. These losers triplet. This is Rodrigo and this is Roman. Were all 18." Daniel said with a playful smile. I returned the smile, and looked at the three. They all had carmal brown eyes which were so pretty. What's up with everyone having different colored eyes?
"It would have been nice for me to introduce myself, idiot." Rodrigo spat. I laughed and he looked at me, getting down on one knee. "Hello Lady Kins, i'm Sir Rodrigo, your favorite brother ever!" He said in a silly British accent. I laughed at his gesture and Roman pushed him down, which only made me laugh harder.
"I can assure you that I will be your favorite brother. Don't listen to that idiot." Roman said, pointing to Rodrigo.
I nodded, "Andreas already got the title or being my favorite." I said, breaking the news to the group.
Rodrigo and Roman held there mouths open and spun around to meet a smirking Andrea. Matteo held a look of amusement, Daniel was laughing his head off, and Luca had already dismissed himself.
"Is that so." Rodrigo said through gritted teeth. I nodded, facing my father who also had a look of amusement on his face.
"I knew I should have went with you. SCREW YOU ANDREA." Rodrigo yelled, making me jump from the sudden yelling. Dad must have noticed because his arm was wrapped around my back.
"Luca, will you show Kinsley to her room?" My father said, more of a 'your going to do it' rather than a question.
Luca simply nodded, "Come on." He said, guiding me up the stairs. We made it to the second floor and it was just like the downstairs area. Except this floor was where all the rooms were located.
"So, each room goes from oldest to youngest. This is dads room," Luca said, pointing to a door with a big M on it. "And that ones Matteo's." He said, pointing to the one across the hall.
"This ones Andreas, this is mine," He said, pointing towards the two next rooms. "And the triplets, this ones Daniels, then Rodrigo, then Roman." He said, explaining each room.
"And this is your room." He said, twisting the door handle to open the door. My door had a big K on it and was the last room in the hallway.
This room was the most luxurious thing I had ever seen. I could fit 9 of my old room in this one. The walls were a sage green color. Green has always been one of my favorite colors. The bed had lots of blankets and pillows scattered around it. There was a huge walk in closet and I even had my own bathroom.
It was honestly gorgeous. There was a dest in the corner of the room and in the other corner was a hanging swing along with a few vines.
"I'm leaving but someone will come get you at 6 for dinner." Luca said from the corner. I forgot he was there so I jumped, "Oh, of course." I said, focusing my attention on my brother.
I watched as he walked over to the door, opening it slightly before turning around. "Listen Kins, you don't understand how much we've truly missed you. It's been so long since we've been normal and i'm really glad your back." He said, a smile pressed against his face.
"I really missed you guys." I whispered, then he left the room and I was once again alone. I made my way to the desk and found a white journal in one of the drawers. It had an imprint of a crown on the front and my name was engraved under it.
I opened it and began writing.
Family.
Family is a weird 6 letter word. Family can make or break you. They can help you or they can hurt you. They could be the best thing that has ever happened in your life, or they could make you want to stop living in their presence.
Family is what makes you, you. They are the biggest impact on your life. I personally strive for their approval but often get slapped down, because 'i'm not good enough' for them.
Today I moved in with MY family. They told me they were going to protect me, be the best thing that I have ever had. They said they would always be there for me when I needed them, if it was good or bad. They said they would try their hardest to make this home my home and a welcoming environment.
I prayed to God every night that I could finally have my outcome. To finally end all bad things and start new.
I want to forget my past, though forget is a strong word. Nobody ever forgets, they simply chose to move on and live with what happened.
I for one, could never forget. I could never forget what those monsters did to their own daughter. It was horrible and I wish to never have that again.
I prayed to god and he answered me with giving me a new beginning.
But that beginning could only happen if I tell them the truth. They won't like the truth. They won't believe the truth. They wont trust that i'm telling the truth.
Someone once told me, "sometimes, you have to get through your fears to see the beauty on the other side." and that's exactly what I was going to do. Not today, probably not tomorrow. Maybe not for a few weeks, months even, but it'll come out.
Remember, nothing lasts forever.
I closed the book, sliding it back in it's place. I didn't even know I was crying until the tears were present on the desk.
There was a knock at my door, startling me for a moment. "Come in." I said, turning around in the chair to see which lovely brother it would be.
"Hey Kins, it's time for dinner." Rodrigo said, bouncing up and down in the room. I smiled at his goofiness and got up, "Hop on." He said, turning around.
"What?" I asked, confusion plastered all over my face. "A piggyback ride, come on." He said, I was still very confused. "You've never had a piggyback ride before?" he asked, looking a little sad.
I shook my head, "Ok. This is going to be your very first ever one so hop on." He said, turning back around. I did as he said and I hopped on his back, only we didn't make it very far before I fell of with a thud.
"Oh my god, Kinsley, are you alright?" He said, a worried tone as he bent down besides me.
"Fratello, what happened?" Matteo said, his face holding a look of confusion and then worry when he sees me on the floor. The rest of my brothers, and dad were circling around me.
I busted out laughing and Rodrigo looked like he had seen a ghost with the amount of looks he was getting.
"You have about 5 seconds to explain why shes on the floor or god help me I wil-" "Enough Metteo, Rodrigo explain."
This should be good.
