"I'm sorry for the delay Killian, it's nothing personal, I promise." Out of breath, Simon walked into his office and sat across from me.

"That's fine."

"You wanted to talk about Abraham, didn't you? Is he causing any trouble?" He raised an eyebrow.

"He's sending people to kill me. Me and my family."

"Are you sure?" He leaned his elbows on the table and rested his head.

"Yes."

"So that's another problem we can add to the list." He let out a frustrated breath and folded the shape into his palms. "Why isn't life easier as you get older?" He mumbled.

"What do you mean that's another problem? How many do we have?" I frowned. Is there something I don't know about?

"More than my old heart can probably handle." He finally looked up at me. "We've got white snakes behind our ass. I don't know what they're doing here, but it's never a good sign. The only thing you try to avoid. On-ly."

"White snakes?" I frowned. "Simon, have you started taking drugs? What the hell are you talking about?"

"Oh god, has nothing stuck on you since you met me?" He rolled his eyes. "Remember when someone stole your laptop from under your nose a few years ago?"

You have got to be kidding me.

"That was a white snake. One in a thousand. If not more. One showed up here yesterday. She even had the highest level of tattoos. Those are the worst....."

I noticed that Simon was talking but I wasn't paying him any attention.

I know her from there. Eris is the little bitch that stole my laptop in LA years ago. That it didn't occur to me earlier. I knew I knew her from somewhere. I couldn't get those bright green eyes out of my head for a few weeks, how could I not remember them now?

"...and I'm not even going to start about their leadership."

"Eris." I interrupted him.

"What?" He looked at me like I was an idiot.

"The woman you saw yesterday. Long brown hair, leather jacket, sassy and had a woman in a white dress as an escort."

"How do you..."

"She's the one who stole my laptop. Also the one I hired yesterday to bring me Wagner. Shit." I feel like the biggest fool in the world.

"What have you gotten yourself into Killian?"

"If only I had known." I breathe heavily.

Life was so much easier until I had her in my life. Why didn't I just kill her when I had the chance?

One decision can change our whole life.

Sometimes we don't even realize that the decision is so serious.

For example, what would happen if we didn't meet a certain person? Or what would happen if we answered some question differently?

Those are the things we will never know.

If I had never opened that door where Killian's guys were, I would never have met him.

That would be really good if you ask me. And the reason? I wouldn't have a guy tied up in my trunk.

To my surprise, I reached the entrance of the villa without any problems. The security guard even opened the gate for me to drive in. I guess they are expecting me.

As soon as I stopped in front of the entrance, I got out of the car and headed for the trunk. I opened it to see a stunned man with tape over his mouth.

I slapped him a few times until he woke up and started screaming. "As if that's going to help you." I rolled my eyes and closed the trunk as he tried to stand up.

I thought he had some level, but I guess I was wrong.

I went to the entrance, where a security guard was waiting for me, who immediately let me in.

Why do I feel like I'm going to my own execution? Why is everyone kind of nice and helpful? I do not like it. It was all too easy to get in.

When the door opened, I had a view of the room I had been in once before. I know exactly in which corner there was blood from the men I shot and where Finn was kneeling while I was aiming for his head.

The good old days?

Except for the security guard who was behind the door, there was no one here. If it's a trap and they blow up this villa with me inside, I'm pretty screwed.

I stood in the middle of the room and waited for a miracle or something. Maybe other signs of life would be enough.

"Hello?" My voice echoed through the rooms. "Anybody here?"

"How did you get in?" I heard a man's voice behind me and immediately turned around.

A new face caught my attention, but somehow he seemed familiar.

His dark hair was slightly tousled. The prominent cheekbones were similar to Killian's and he also had less stubble than him. Dark brown eyes burned me with a look.

Another man who was built like a mountain. Broad shoulders, a developed body and tattoos on his arm.

He was wearing a plain white t-shirt and black jeans that hugged his ass nicely.

Don't ask why I noticed his ass. You don't want an answer.

"Surprisingly easy." I crossed my arms over my breasts. "Where's Killian?"

"Are you here for my brother?" He frowned and walked a little closer.

"No, I'm here for you." I snorted. "What do you think?" Idiot.

"I wouldn't mind." A smile appeared on his face and I noticed a hand approaching my face. But before he touched me, I caught it.

Was he really trying to flirt right now?

"Keep those hands to yourself if you don't want to lose them." I let go of his hand.

"I will remember it." He chuckled.

No way. What does this boy think of himself? This family is weird. I need to get rid of them.

"I'm Sebastian."

"And I don't care." I walked past him and didn't forget to hit him with my shoulder.

I don't have the slightest idea where I'm going, but I made my way towards some kind of door. I hope there is a study or something.

"Wait! Don't go there!" Sebastian pulled me down before I could open the door.

"What is your problem?" I frowned.

"You really don't want to go there." He stood in front of the door, denying me entry.

"And why is that?" If there's a naked Killian, then he just saved me from a lifelong trauma, but I doubt that's the reason.

"That's Killian's office."

"It still doesn't explain why I can't go there."

"It has a...security system?" He looked like he was asking me.

"Like I care." I rolled my eyes and pushed him out of the way.

I reached for the doorknob and went inside. I was expecting anything. Maybe some guys or something.

But this?

I didn't even think of this.

"A dog." I said to myself. A smile appeared on my face, like a little girl at Christmas.

A beautiful Rottweiler lay in a bed next to a wooden table. He immediately raised his head when he noticed me.

"Come here." I fell on my knees and called him to me. He started wagging his little tail and ran towards me. "Who's a good boy." I immediately started scratching behind his ears. "Well aren't you cute?" I laughed.

"How did you..." I shifted my attention to Sebastian behind me. He looked at me and the dog confused. "He doesn't like strangers."

"Really? It doesn't look like it." I turned back to the dog and scratched him. "You're an accomplished killer huh?" His response was licking all over my face. "Oh yes, you're a killer."

Right now I don't even mind that his saliva is all over my face. It can be washed off later. He's too cute to not let him.

In my opinion, it would be a crime not to let him give me a kiss.

I have loved dogs since I was a child. Lukas had one when I was very little. He was a golden retriever, and the biggest pet in the world. I often sneaked him into the room so he could sleep in bed with me at night. Even though he had his own bed, I couldn't leave him alone. It would be considered abuse.

I also didn't like meat as a child, so I always threw it under the table for him to eat it.

How I miss him.

"What's his name?" The question was for Sebastian, but I didn't give him my full attention. You can guess where it was.

"Odin."

"Odin, huh?" I smiled at Odin. "You are adorable." He barked at my remark. "Yes you are." I laughed. "What?" I looked at Sebastian who looked like he had seen a ghost.

"I...I'm going to go call Killian, tell him that you're here." He disappeared from the door and headed somewhere where I could no longer see him.

"I guess it's just the two of us." I looked into Odin's beautiful brown eyes. "I don't know about you, but I would like to eat something. Do you have any idea where the kitchen is?" I raised an eyebrow and Odin looked at me confused. "I take that as no. But let's go find it."

I stood up and left the office with Odin at my heels.

It can't be hard to find one kitchen after all. I'm pretty sure it's not on the second floor, so I only have one left to explore.

Opposite the study was the living room into which I entered. I noticed another entrance to a room that appeared to be a dining room.

I was right.

The living room led to the dining room, and in the corner there was a door that they could definitely see leading to the kitchen.

I love being right.

A kitchen appeared in front of me, which was matched to white and was also made of different types of wood. I also noticed bowls that were definitely for Odin.

"Do you have any idea where something for you is?" I shifted my gaze to Odin, who was just happily wagging his tail. "God, you're really adorable."

I started looking through all the cabinets on the shelf with the motive of finding some treats for the dogs. You can't tell me there won't be anything for him.

While I was looking to the left side, Odin barked which caught my attention. He sat in front of the cabinet and looked at it carefully.

I walked over to him and opened the cabinet that contained the dog food.

"Bingo." I smiled.

I reached for the packet of dog food and walked over to his bowls, where I poured them into. He threw himself into them without hesitation.

I felt a warm feeling in my heart.

I sat down next to him. I leaned my back against the kitchen counter and felt the cold floor under my ass. The whole time I was looking at Odin, the smile didn't disappear from my face. I'm slowly melting away from him.

As soon as he finished eating, he turned and ran towards me. He put his head on my legs and I started scratching him again and again.

I don't think I've ever met a more cuddly dog than this one.

"For someone with your background, you're way too kind to animals. Or is it just dogs?"

I rolled my eyes when I heard his voice. Not that I wanted to, but it was already a reflex.

"How have you been, Killy?" I shifted my gaze to him and smiled provocatively.

It was impossible not to notice his anger when I spoke to him. He really doesn't like the nickname, which makes it even more popular for me.

"Odin." He ordered him to go to him.

I tried with every part of my body not to laugh when Odin raised his head and lay back down.

It doesn't look like he has any authority here. At least not with Odin.

"What can I say, I'm too nice to animals."

"Get up." He snorted.

I hope I'm not getting on his nerves. That's the last thing I really want.

Sarcasm, if anyone didn't catch it.

"Relax." I laughed and slowly stood up.

"I'll do that when you leave."

"Please don't be so nice to me. I'll think you like me somehow." I winked at him.

I noticed the battle he was waging in his head. He really wants to get rid of me. "Did you find him?" He said between his teeth.

"He's in my trunk. Car trunks to be exact."

"Fine. Security will take him and you can go."

He turned to leave but I stopped him by grabbing his arm.

Bad idea.

Really bad idea.

With a quick movement, he turned back to me and caught the hand I touched him with. He moved it in a way that almost broke the bones in my wrist. For a little while, I guess I saw the light at the end of the tunnel.

"Do not touch me." He said sternly and let go of my hand.j

"You take personal space to another level." I hissed in pain as I touched my hand. "Also, I'm not leaving until you pay me."

I really have a lot of questions about his whole "don't touch me" thing. How does it even work for him?

Oh.

I now know why he is always so tense.

It's hard to have sex when no one is allowed to touch you.

A lot has been explained just now.

Poor guy.

"Fine." He snorted and started walking away. Again. "You going?" He yelled when he noticed I wasn't following him.

"Your owner is a moron." I looked at Odin, who was standing a few meters away from me and wagging his tail.

There is not a single thought in that beautiful head of his.

At least he's cute.
