I already know what it's like to wake up next to someone in the morning.
I have to say, I like it. And especially when I was roused from sleep by his head between my legs.
A wonderful way to start a new day.
"How are you?" He lay back next to me and turned my back to him. He pulled me to his chest and buried his head in my hair.
"Better now." I laughed and ran my hand over his fingers on my stomach.
"I'm happy about that." I could hear he was smiling by the way he was talking. "We should shower and then get ready."
"I hate that you're right." I breathed out hard.
I would never get out of this bed if I could. I like it here.
"One day we'll spend the whole day in bed, but not today." He was about to say something but was interrupted by a scratching at the door. "I was waiting for him to come."
He let out a frustrated breath and pulled away from me. He got up from the bed and walked to the door. With every step he took, I looked at his ass. I wish he didn't have sweatpants on.
"Okay, okay." He opened the door when he heard barking. "Take it easy."
Odin immediately ran to the bed and showered me with kisses. "Good morning to you too." I laughed. "Where have you been all night?"
"I left him in the study." Killian said as he closed the door and stood by the bed looking at the two of us. "So that he doesn't interrupt something again, since he likes to do it so much." He crossed his arms over his chest and glared at Odin.
"You better stop looking at him like that or he'll bite you in the ass. It'd be a shame." I winked at him.
"Really funny." He looked at me with a serious look.
"It is for me." I whispered to Odin. "You must have laughed on the inside too." I pet him.
"I better go take a shower." He said more for himself than for us and went to the bathroom, from which I soon heard running water.
I wanted to join him, but we all know how that would turn out. Killy and me in the shower? There is only one possible way it will end, and we don't have time for that now.
When he came back from the shower, I don't know if it was God, the devil, or just Killian who was punishing me because he was only wearing a towel tied low that looked like it was going to fall to the floor in seconds.
I certainly wouldn't mind this look, but it is possible that Odin would bite off his "friend" because he would consider it a toy.
And now I'm talking nonsense.
I think I am unknowingly on some kind of drug.

"I hope you are ready." Nyx called from the back seat. "It won't be easy."
This occurred to me when we were talking about our steps on the plane. Not that I'm nervous when we're a few blocks from the New Life building, but I have a bad feeling.
We stopped at a safe location where there are no cameras or people.
"I hope you know the plan, baby. There's no backing out of this."
I had the desire and every right to punch her in the face, but I restrained myself. She calls him baby one more time and we will have a serious problem.
"Be careful." He ignored Nyx and looked at me.
"Of course." I smiled at him as I put my hair in a ponytail.
"If something goes wrong, you know where to find me."
"Yes, I know." I laughed at his worries. "Open the trunk." I opened the door on the passenger side and got out of the car.
I went to the trunk, where both Nyx and Killian appeared in a moment.
I opened the bag and started to take out weapons and cartridges from it. One Glock, which I hid inside a leather jacket. Two daggers, one on the ankle, the other on the belt, and a pair of throwing knives under the sleeves.
While I was getting ready, Nyx took other things from her bag and hid them in different places.
I looked up at Killian, who was looking at me carefully.
"Something wrong?" I raised an eyebrow.
"I don't like you going there alone."
"Hello? She's coming with me, after all." Nyx spoke.
"You know what I mean." He exhaled heavily and grabbed my hand.
"It will be fine." I leaned over and gave him a quick kiss on the lips.
"I'm probably going to throw up." The trunk of the car slammed.
"You know what to do." I pulled away from Killian and ignored Nyx. "Go." I nodded my head at the car.
"Good luck." He gave me one more kiss on the forehead before getting into the car and driving off.
When I lost sight of his car, I shifted my gaze to Nyx. "What?"
"Nothing. Let's go. The sooner we do it, the sooner it'll be over." She started walking towards the crowded streets.
"Sure, don't wait for me." I said to myself and started walking behind her.
We stopped around the corner of the building that was across from New Life.
It would be easier if it was in a less crowded place, but that's the point. It's supposed to look like a normal building while they're brainwashing little girls inside.
"Do you see what I see?" She nodded her head towards the street.
"They have people checking the area." I looked at the people on the street. Three women who were definitely not normal, even if they tried to look like it.
"Turn on the jammer, there are cameras everywhere." I obeyed her and turned on the small box on my belt. "The one on the left. Take care of the others. I'll get access to the building from her." She said before she started walking away from me towards the woman.
Take care of the others. Really easy.
A blonde in a white shirt stood by a newsstand and was looking at magazines. A black-haired woman was sitting on a bench with a coffee in one hand and a mobile phone in the other.
Both looked normal, but they weren't.
"Hey kid." I came around the corner and stopped a boy who could have been sixteen at the most. "Do you want to make some money?" A smile appeared on his face and he walked closer to me.
"How much?" I took a fifty from my pocket and showed it to him. "What should I do?"
"Blonde girl at the newsstand. White shirt. Go to her and ask her for money. She'll give it to you just to get rid of you. Then start screaming that she's bothering you and that she wanted to buy you. After a while you'll run away. What you say, kid?"
"Double it."
"Really?" I laughed. Fine." I handed him another bill. "Now go."
"If only all people were like you." He winked at me and immediately crossed the road, heading towards the blonde.
"Children these days." I rolled my eyes.
While he was heading towards the blonde, I was heading towards the brunette.
"Get your hands off me!" I heard a boy's voice and I wasn't the only one. Several people looked at him to see what was going on. "I don't know you."
There was confusion on the blonde's face, but she tried to calm him down, which drew more attention.
I sat down next to the brunette whose attention was on her friend as stuck the needle in her thigh.
"What the..." She didn't have time to finish. The substance in the syringe worked immediately and her head fell on my shoulder.
"Sweet dreams." I slowly stood up and placed her head on the bench and disappeared from there before anyone noticed her.
I headed to the entrance of the building, where Nyx was walking with another woman. When she noticed me, she nodded her head for me to move.
"Open that door." Nyx instructed her.
"You will regret it."
"Shut your mouth and open that door." She pressed a knife to her back even more and this time she obeyed.
She placed her hand on the doorknob, which would not budge until it recognized fingerprints, in this case hers.
There was a faint beep and the door opened. We all quickly entered and Nyx stunned the woman before she could try anything. The door closed automatically.
"In ten minutes at the back entrance. Make sure they get the message." I nodded at Nyx.
"Don't worry." She smiled. "They're going to get it." She ran inside the building and disappeared from my sight.
It didn't take me long to find the place Nyx was talking about. It was the part of the building where the children were kept until the testing took place.
I bumped into a few people along the way, but I took care of them. No, I didn't kill them. I just stunned them and locked them in the nearest room.
With a gun in hand, I carefully unlocked the door. I headed inside, ready for any surprises. I immediately put down my gun when my eyes fell on three frightened girls.
All three were in the corner of the room and their faces were full of tears. But one is missing. There should have been four.
Every week they bring a certain number of girls, sometimes more, sometimes less. But if Nyx said there were four, where the hell is the fourth one?
"It's okay." I entered the room and carefully closed the door behind me. "I'm not here to hurt you. I'm here to get you out of here." I walked slowly closer to them. "What's your name? Huh?" I smiled at them.
But none of them spoke. I'm not surprised at them. They are scared to death.
"My name is...Lyssa." I bent over to them, still leaving some space between us.
"Chloe." A girl who looked the oldest of them spoke. She had red hair, freckles and beautiful green eyes. She could have been fourteen. "This is Ellie," she looked at a girl who was about nine with a bow in her hair, "and this is Grace." A girl who was about eleven years old with beautiful, long, brown hair.
"Nice to meet you all." I smiled. "I'll get you back home to your parents, but we have to leave now." I held out my hand to Grace.
She hesitated before placing her small hand in mine and all three stood with me.
"Shouldn't there have been another girl with you?" I asked before we walked out into the hallway.
"She was taken a few minutes ago." Chloe replied.
Shit.
"Okay, listen carefully." I bent over to them. "You're going to stick behind me, okay? Hold hands and don't let go. Chloe, do you know where they took that other girl?"
"I don't." She shook her head.
"I'll come back for her, but I have to get you out of here first. Hang in there."
We went out into the corridor and easily reached the first floor where there was a back exit that could only be opened from the inside.
Nyx was already standing by it, and she almost shot me when we came around the corner.
"Whoa whoa." I raised my hands in a defensive gesture. "With you, remember?"
"What took you so long? We have to go." She opened the door but I stopped her.
"We can't. At least I can't."
"What?" She frowned. "Why not?"
"Do you know where they test them? What floor?"
Nyx looked behind me at the three girls and let out a heavy breath. "You have to leave her there. It's late." She said quietly.
"Take the girls and go meet Killian. Go back to the hotel and inform Luna and Theo. Find their families and..."
"Killian won't leave without you, you know that."
"He will have to." I turned to the girls and crouched. "You'll go with her, while I go find your friend, okay?" They all slowly nodded. "Okay, go." I straightened up and turned to Nyx. "Which floor? "
"Third." She finally said. "But Eris..."
"Get them out of here." I cut her off and ran back inside the building.
I ran up the stairs to the third floor, which is the penultimate one, and I saw a corridor full of doors.
The metal door slammed shut behind me as I stepped into the hallway and began going through the rooms, one by one.
There were hospital beds and equipment in every room, but no one was anywhere.
A girl's scream, a few meters away, caught my attention. I immediately ran to the door, behind which a scream was coming from, and kicked the door.
I pointed the gun at the doctor in the white coat and the needle in her hand. She reached for the gun, but before she could touch it, I shot her in the head.
Blood splattered on the wall behind her and her body hit the ground hard.
I heard sobbing and looked at the little five-year-old girl in the hospital bed.
She had light brown long hair that stuck to the tears running down her cheeks. Her brown eyes were full of tears and it hurt to look at her. She was dressed in a white dress with gray stripes that was wrinkled and dirty.
"Hey." I put the gun in my belt. "That's all right." I walked closer to her and knelt down. "Did she hurt you?" I checked her for any injuries.
She just shook her head and rubbed her eyes.
"My name is Lyssa. Can you tell me your name?"
"Lucy." Another sob escaped her mouth.
"That's a wonderful name." I smiled at her. "Almost as beautiful as you are. I came to help you, will you come with me?"
"That bad lady...."
"Won't hurt you again. No one will, I promise."
She reached out to me and wrapped her arms around my neck. I grabbed her back with one hand and stood up.
"You're safe now. And I'll make sure it stays that way."
