"Put it down before I shoot your brains out, bitch." I said between my teeth, while holding a gun to someone's head.

I stood in the middle of the hall with a gun attached to the back of the head of the woman I was seeing for the first time. I didn't have time to look properly. I stared straight at Finn, who was kneeling in front of her with his hands in the air.

The blood inside me began to boil.

Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed three of my men rolling on the ground in pain. Useless idiots.

"Don't make me repeat myself." I spoke when I noticed she didn't even move.

"You shoot me, I'll shoot him." Her voice was provocative.

Does she really think she can win this somehow?

"You shoot him and you'll want to be in his place when I get my hands on you."

Her shoulders began to shake and her breath caught in her chest. At first I thought she was crying. But she laughed.

"You have no idea what I'm capable of." Her body relaxed and she fell to the ground before I could fire. She kicked my feet with her right foot and I didn't feel the ground beneath me for a moment. I didn't even know where he was.

But I quickly found it when I hit it hard. It didn't take me long to recover and look up at the woman who had my gun.

The bright green eyes have seems familiar. Have we met before?

Little by little, she looked at me through her eyes. And I did the same. I slowly looked at her smooth face with strong cheekbones and full lips. She had one of the most beautiful faces I've ever seen.

Her long hair fell to her shoulders and covered part of her neckline. She can be proud of the curves. Large chest, thin waist and wide hips.

Of course, she was attractive. Even someone blind would see it.

However, she can be saint, I don't care. She'll pay with her life.

"Even though I like men on their knees, stand up." She said with a smile that was as deadly as the guns in both hands.

I stood up, adjusting my suit. "You will regret it."

"I've heard that already. You people say the same shit a lot." She took a few steps back to have a better view of me and Finn. "Finn, honey, would you be so nice and finally tell me how to get out of here?"

Honey?

"You broke in here and don't know the way out?" I frowned. "I think you said you were good. Maybe I just heard badly." She could have shot me for my remarks, but she didn't, a smile appeared on her face.

"For your info, I've been brought here by force. It's far from voluntary. But I'm sure I'll find a way out on my own. The real question is, who am I gonna use as a shield, so I wouldn't get shot as soon as I walk out the door."

"You'd have to get out of them first." I snorted.

"Says the man with his gun pointing at his head." Her voice had a funny tone. "I gave you a choice. I didn't get my answer." She aimed both guns at Finn and fired.

There was an echo of the shot in the corridor.

Without hesitation, I jumped up to Finn, looking for open wounds on his body. To my surprise, I didn't find one.

"She missed." He exhaled hard.

I immediately started looking for her, but she was long gone.

"Are you okay?" I turned my attention back to Finn.

"I'm not a colander, so I guess so."

"Are you going to tell me who that was?" I frowned.

"You should send a doctor to your men first." He nodded at the three men in pain at the wall.

"What the hell is going on here?" Sebastian rushed down the stairs. "Did I hear shots?" He stopped at a pool of blood and three men. "Does anyone want to explain this to me?" He looked at me and Finn.

"Take care of them and have the woman watched." I nodded at the guys. "And you're coming with me." I grabbed Finn's shirt and pulled him into the office.

"What woman?" Sebastian shouted after us, but I didn't answer him anymore. "What woman?"

I slammed the door behind us so hard that the walls shook slightly.

"Do you want to explain to me what the hell that was?!" I raised my voice and pointed toward the hallway where the scene had just taken place.

"Look, Killian ..."

"You should say something fucking logical about that or I swear to God Nathan." He knows there is something wrong when someone called him by his middle name.

I came a little closer to him.

"Who was that woman and how did she get here?" I saw a slight fear in him, but after what he did, he should be more afraid.

"Your men went to the factory you sent them to." He began to shake slightly. "They found her there and brought her back. I tried to talk to her and get out of her who hired her like the others, but she got out of handcuffs. She knew how to fight, and that's all. You already know the rest."

"That's just the answer to one of my questions." I said between my teeth. "Who is that woman?" I repeated.

"I couldn't find any information on her."

The moment he said that, the nearest object grabbed my hand and threw it against the wall. The lamp broke and pieces of glass and plastic fell to the ground.

"Repeat that."

"I couldn't ..." He started, but before he finished, I grabbed the hem of his shirt and pressed his back against the shelves behind him.

"Do you have the slightest idea what could have happened!"

"I'm sorry, Killian." He swallowed hard.

"You should!" I let him go, but he didn't step away from him. "Get out." He listened to me without hesitation and left.

Still in a rage, I sat down at the table. On the way to him, I threw a glass cup on the ground.

Finn doesn't realize what the could've happen. She could have killed him. And not just him, but everyone else. She had a chance to shoot us all, but she didn't. Luck must have been on our side today.

Maybe I shouldn't have shouted at him. I'll solve that problem later.

I opened my laptop and pulled out camera footage from around the villa. One captured her entire face, which could be entered into a search app and identified.

It would be really easy if it worked.

There were no records of her. No prints, place of residence, age or even just a family. Nothing. Blank black screen. Not a single figure. As if she were a ghost.

I have to find her before she finds Valentina. Just because she didn't kill us doesn't mean she won't go after her.

I went through her face through thirty search apps, trying to find her on any cameras in and around New York.

It's like she has evaporated. No camera caught her now, but chances are she was picked up by another day. At least one camera had to.

A recording from a camera in the city suddenly appeared on the screen, which caught her entering the building.

"I have you now."

That's one way to start in a new city.

When I finally managed to get out of the villa, I headed straight for the road and followed it. I knew I couldn't be far from civilization, and I was right.

After a few kilometers, I came across the first car that took me back to the city, from where I got back to Luna's apartment.

I was very careful not to leave any traces that these people would find me. I avoided the cameras every step of the way.

Along the way, I also got rid of guns, that could be traceable.

I finally took a breath as I entered the apartment and slammed the door behind me. I leaned back against them, trying to understand the last twenty-four hours.

The fact that Nyx didn't leave me alone doesn't surprise me, but what happened after that, did. Who the hell were those people?

When I felt the gun on my back, I froze. It has never happened to me that someone crept up behind me. No one has succeeded so far.

His eyes were dark as coals and cold. Full of hatred, anger and danger. He had a fine stubble on the sharp sledge that made him a few years older than he certainly was. His blond hair fell into his eyes after the fall I caused him. He stood firm and fearless, even after I aimed at him.

He showed with both, the attitude and the character, that he was not the right person to play with. His rough and harsh voice caused chills all over my body. I don't even know why.

But something in him moved when I fired at Finn. Of course I didn't want to kill him. I don't need it. I don't know those people, but I have no plans to pit them against me. I already have enough problems.

"Eris!" I looked up at the enraged Luna. "Where the hell have you been?" She took a few steps closer, and for the first time I was afraid of her. "I've been looking for you all day."

This will be really difficult to explain. It's about time to start.

Besides how attractive everyone was, I told her everything. Either she's proud of me for getting out, or she's disappointed that I fired five rounds and injured only three.

"Eris ..." She exhaled hard. "You haven't even been here for three days." She grabbed her head. "How can you do something like that?"

"Don't look at me. It wasn't my fault this time. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time." I shrugged.

"One thing is certain." She looked up at me. "New York was really boring without you."

"Glad to hear it." I smiled as I stood up with the idea of going to the kitchen.

"Wait, wait, wait." She stopped me. "What do you want to do?"

"Cook?" What else?

"You don't go to my kitchen anymore." She stood between me and the way to the kitchen. She folded her arms across her chest and closed seriously. "If you want to make eggs, first put something in the pan before you put them there. Otherwise, don't be surprised if what happened, happens again."

"Nothing burned down." I defended myself.

"I'm sure if you were here alone for an hour, I wouldn't have a home to return to."

"You're exaggerating." I rolled my eyes.

"Trust me, I'm not exaggerating."

Yes she is.

Well, maybe not.

"I don't get it. It seems like complete nonsense."

"What do you mean? Eris, don't dare insult one of the best movies ever made." Luna's voice came from the other side of the phone.

"It's almost three hours long. I don't have time for that kind of thing." I complained.

An hour ago, Luna left on a date with a new guy and left me here alone. As she forbade me to enter the kitchen, she turned on some movie. A hobbit or something like that. What even is that name?

I wouldn't complain if it wasn't that long. And according to what she said, there are more movies than one that follow each other.

"Fine. Stop it. I'll be back home in a few minutes and turn on the Lord of the Rings."

"Luna, seriously, where do you get these movies?" The only answer was silence on the other side. She hung up on me.

In less than a few seconds, I heard the door open. That's why she hung up. I expected it would take her a little longer.

"I'm not going to watch any more movies you pick. Just so you know!" I shouted at her to hear me at the door and reached for a piece of caramel chocolate.

I will gain ten pounds at this rate. This is the third one I opened. I'm just gonna say it's stress eating or something like that.

A cell phone with a message from Luna lit up my right hand. Why is she writing to me?

I'll jump into the store, don't go to the kitchen. I'm serious.

Shit.

I reached for the gun under the seat, but before I reached it, I heard a gun click. Unlock the fuse more accurately.

"Being you, I would put my hands over my head." A rough male voice echoed in my ears.

I slowly raised my hands in the air and shifted my gaze to the man in the doorway

"You." I laughed nervously.

"Me." The guy I was aiming at in the morning smiled.

And this could have been such a nice evening.
