Another chapter to make your night (or any other time of the day) better. <3

I picked Lucy up in my arms and carried her into the room when she fell asleep on the couch while we waited together for Killian. He still hasn't showed up and I'm really starting to worry.

"Good night." I whispered and gave her a kiss on the forehead. I covered her and carefully left the room so as not to wake her.

I went back to the living room and sat down on the couch when my cell phone rang. Killian's name flashed on the screen and I immediately picked up.

"Where the hell are you, Killian? I've called you probably a thousand times." I spoke before he did.

"I don't think he heard his phone." A rough male voice, that I didn't recognize, came from the other side of the phone.

"And who the hell are you? Because you're definitely not Killian."

"Sorry." He laughed. "I'm Jeremy."

"It's really nice to meet you." I said sarcastically. "Now tell me why you have Killian's cell phone."

"Because your boyfriend is in my bar and won't leave until Lyssa comes to get him. I'm assuming it's you."

"Is Killian drunk?" I frowned.

He doesn't drink. At least that's what I thought.

"I even tried to kick him out, but he almost broke a bottle on my head, so please come and get him."

"Give me the address." I got up from the couch and headed straight for the exit.

By the time he told me the address I entered into the navigation, I started the car and was on my way.

It didn't take me long to stop in front of a bar called Bullet. Interesting name.

I walked in and my eyes immediately fell on Killian at the bar with a glass in front of him and his head on the bar.

"You must be Lyssa." I shifted my gaze to the guy behind the bar whom I hadn't noticed until now. He had short cropped blond hair and bright blue eyes. A black tight t-shirt surrounded his muscles, which could not be called small.

"Yes." I walked closer to them and noticed how he measured me with his gaze. "How long has he been here?" I moved to one side of Killian and saw that his eyes were tightly closed.

"A few hours. He was here when I came in to fill in for the other bartender. Have to close and didn't feel like messing with the cops at this hour, so take him." He said as he took the glass from in front of Killian and began to wash it.

"Killian." I ran my hand over his back. "Get up." I pushed a strand of hair away from his face.

"Lyssa." He grunted and slowly opened his eyes.

"Yes, Lyssa. It's late, we have to go home."

He slowly straightened up and smiled as he looked at me. "You are beautiful." He held out his hand to my cheek.

"I have to agree with that." The bartender next to us spoke up.

"You little..." Killian reached across the bar to him.

"Hey hey hey." I caught him. "He was kidding. Right?" I raised an eyebrow, but he just shrugged. "You're not helping."

"She's mine." A drunken Killian said and tried to stand up. I caught him before he fell and threw his arm over my shoulder.

"Yes, yours." I laughed.

"Do you need help with him?" The bartender asked.

"If you want him to kick you in the balls, suit yourself." I shrugged my shoulders.

"In that case, good night." He smiled.

"Thank you for calling."

"Yeah, yeah, just get him out of here."

I don't even want to know what Killian has been up to. He's capable of doing stupid things when he's sober.

I carefully put him in the passenger seat and told him not to move because I wasn't in the mood to chase him all over New York.

"I was worried all evening that you were bleeding somewhere and you were in the bar the whole time." I sat in the car. "We'll talk about this later." I pointed my finger at him as I started the car.

"Yes, madam." He gave a drunken smile that looked cute for some reason.

He didn't say a word the whole way, just looked at me like I was a painting in an exhibition. It was a little distracting, but I managed.

We pulled up in front of the villa and before I got to his side of the door he was already out. In such a form that he ended up face down on the ground.

"Oh my god, Killian." I started to lift him from the ground.

"You need help?" A security guy came up to us.

"You better not touch him. I can handle it." I smiled at him. "But thank you."

"Of course."

"I don't like him." Killian said next to me.

"He's your security guard." I laughed.

"He was checking you out." He frowned at the back of the guy walking away from us.

"You are impossible." I started walking to the villa and headed straight to his room.

I opened the door to his room, and preferred not to turn on a large light that could hurt him, but only turned on the lamp next to his bed.

I sat him down and started to take off his shoes. "Why don't you try taking your shirt off?" I looked up at him.

"Sure, sure, sure." He sang.

"I'll get you water." I put his shoes away and looked at him. "A lot of water."

A few minutes later, I returned to the room and found him tangled in his T-shirt.

He was like a kitten stuck in some cereal box and can't get out.

I don't know why I compared him directly to that.

I put an empty glass and a pitcher of clean water on the bedside table and walked over to him.

I grabbed the edges of his t-shirt and miraculously got it off him.

When I threw it somewhere away, Killian put his hands on my hips and pulled me to him. I giggled as I almost fell on top of him. "Killian!"

"That's my name." He was grinning from ear to ear like he was on drugs. At this point, he might even be on something.

"Idiot." I laughed and ran my hand through his messy hair. But what I didn't expect was when he closed his eyes and moaned.

"I love it when you play with my hair. Especially when my head is between your legs."

I bit my lip at his words.

"Or when you sit on my face." He said, his eyes still closed and my hands still in his hair.

"Anything else you love when I do?" I laughed.

"That." He opened his eyes and looked up at me. "When you laugh. I love when you laugh. And especially when it's because of me."

"Then I'll keep laughing." I smiled.

"That would be amazing." He rested his head on my stomach and clasped his hands behind my back.

"You have to let me lie down." I tried to shake his hands off me.

"You'll run to Lucy." He muttered into the fabric of my t-shirt.

"Not tonight. She said she was big now, and that mommy and daddy always slept together."

"So we're mommy and daddy now?" He looked up at me with a smile, his chin resting on my stomach.

"We are something, let's leave it at that." I winked at him and bent down to kiss his forehead.

"One more." He said as I pulled away. "Here." He touched his lips with his finger.

"Only because it's you." I laughed, and despite the fact that his mouth stank, I kissed him. "Drink some water." I poured water into the glass and handed it to him.

He slowly drank it all and handed it back to me. He flopped down on the bed, still in his jeans, and moved so I could lay down. He lifted the duvet next to him and waited until I lay down.

Looks like I won't take a shower until morning. I pulled off my jeans and lay down next to him.

Killian covered us both and turned my back to him. He draped his arm over my stomach and buried his head in my hair. He mumbled something, but I didn't hear him. "What did you say?"

"I....lo...ou..." He repeated.

I still have no idea what he meant, but I let it go. I just laughed at his attempts and fell asleep in his arms.

*****

I slowly closed the door so as not to wake Killian who was still sleeping.

I woke up to a message from Charles and immediately went to Luna.

But I probably should have knocked before I flew into Theo's room.

I don't think that image will fade from my memory anytime soon.

"You could have waited a few minutes." Luna said as she put something on and closed the door to join me in the hallway.

"I'm going to have nightmares." I rubbed my eyes.

"Don't exaggerate." She rolled her eyes.

"Trust me, I'm not." I breathed out hard.

"So what's so important that you interrupt me with..."

"Charles texted me." I cut her off before she finished her sentence.

"And what did he want?" She frowned.

"We have a window."

"When?"

"Two weeks from today. They'll all be in one place and it'll be easier to get to them there than if we were to attack the main building."

"But where will they be?"

"You really don't want me to answer that question for you." I turned my back on her and started walking from the rooms, straight to Killian's study.

"Lyssa, I swear if you say it's...."

"Yes." I cut her off before she finished. "It's exactly what you think." I stopped at the table and leaned against it.

"Are they still doing that?" She entered the study behind me.

"Obviously yes." I shrugged my shoulders.

"God, what year will it be already?" She frowned.

"Maybe the fifty-third? God knows."

"You do realize the best of the best will be there, right? You say it's easier to get there than the main building, but then what? There will be dozens of the best white snakes. We called it the Blood Ball for a reason, Lyssa."

Blood ball, yes. That's what we called it when we were with the white snakes. Everyone called it something different because it didn't have an official name.

Basically, it's not a ball, and it's not bloody unless someone pulls something off.

People and investors from all over the world will come to see how the management succeeds in training young women. Of course, only selected people get there. People who have been in our circles for a few years.

The management chooses a few girls they think are the best and they show what they are capable of in front of everyone.

If they like it and are satisfied, they will donate, and usually it is a large amount, which always helps.

Although there is a show of skills and abilities, it is a formal event, so that means lots of suits and dresses.

The building it's held in is different every year, but it's always well guarded.

However, it is not better than the main building. Therefore, it will be easier to attack the Blood Ball. And the fact that everyone will be there in one place is just one big plus.

"We are in no position to choose, Luna."

"I still don't like it though." She crossed her arms over her chest. "What if it's a trap?"

"Are you crazy? Of course it's a trap. But they don't expect us to be stupid enough to go there anyway. They didn't cancel even though they know we're after them, they need investors."

"To tell you the truth, I think you lost your mind when you left them. Your plans just keep getting worse."

"I don't think that can be taken as a compliment in any way."

"It's too early to talk to you about your crazy plans. I'll be back after I finish what I started with Theo." She grabbed her head and left the study.

Exactly how I thought this conversation would go.

*****

I heard a scream.

And when I realized that it was Lucy's, I immediately ran to her room.

When I was already in the corridor, I saw her running from the door directly towards me.

"Lucy, are you okay? What happened?" She hugged the lower half of my body.

"There's a spider." She whispered and I gasped at her words.

Oh my God. I almost had a heart attack.

"Oh Lucy." I ran my hand through her hair and laughed. "You can't do this to me, sweetie."

"He's really big." She looked up at me.

"Okay, show me where you saw him." She slowly let go of me and started pulling me into the room. "So? Where is he?" I looked around the room.

"He was there." She pointed to the wall where there was nothing. "He disappeared."

"Then that only means one thing." I looked at her seriously. "We have to burn this villa."

Lucy giggled and squeezed my hand harder. "No." She looked at me sadly. "We can't do that."

"But what if he's still here and comes back and I'm not here?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Aunt Luna will help me. Please, let's not burn it here."

I tried to hold back my laughter. "Whatever you want." I bent down and gave her a quick kiss on the head. "Whatever you want." I whispered.
