Eleven months ago...

I should have known. Of course the main room had stronger walls than anything else in the building.

I don't know how long I was out. I hit my head when the building exploded and woke up with blood all over my body. Most of it flowed from my head and also from the hand that I pulled out from under the table. I don't know how the table got on it, and I probably don't even want to know.

I braced myself against the table as I tried to stand up.

Everything around me was scattered. That's probably what happens when a building explodes.

I looked at Frederik's body one last time and smiled from ear to ear. "Look who survived, asshole." I laughed. "Not you for sure."

I slowly walked over to the door and tried to open it through the sensor on its edge. It was in vain.

I walked over to the metal door and tried to open it and since it was damaged from the impact it actually moved.

I hissed in pain as I had to open them with both hands and that hurts like a bitch.

"Agh." I opened them enough to jump out. They immediately closed behind me.

I fell on pieces of the building, which also hurt. I scratched my hands and tore my jeans at the knees, which started to bleed.

"Awesome." I hissed in pain as I tried to stand up. "Oh my God." I whispered as I saw the building in ruins and the bodies. So many bodies.

I did that.

There was black smoke, pieces of the building still burning and the stench of burnt bodies.

What did I do?

I shook off the guilt. There will be time for that later, I have to find Killian. Oh my god I have to find Killian.

I started walking through the ruins in the direction where we stopped with Charles and Nyx.

I finally got to the forest, but then out of nowhere, my head started spinning.

My legs started to weave and I didn't have time to catch a tree as I was falling.

I hit the ground with my face and passed out.

Everything was black for I don't know how long, but then I heard a voice. It was terribly far away, and yet I felt someone's hands on my body.

"Look at you. You don't know how to die do you?" Someone laughed.

I tried to open my eyes, but it wasn't possible.

"I'm going to have a lot of fun with you." That was the last thing I heard before I passed out again.

A few days later...

I'm losing my mind.

I have been locked in a pure white room for several days. I wasn't in contact with anyone and lost track of time a long time ago.

No one came, but I can see a camera in the corner of the room, so someone must be on the other side.

But I don't know who.

For the first few days, I tried to use whatever I had on hand to break down the door, but I didn't succeed.

I can't even think straight anymore.

I was in the corner of the room, as far as possible from the door, when it suddenly opened. Two huge guys were standing in them.

I clumsily stood up, supported by the wall. "What do you want? Who are you?"

They started walking towards me without a word, and only then did I notice an injection in one of their hands.

"No. Don't you dare!" I tried to fight back when they grabbed me, but they were stronger.

They didn't give me much food, and this is how it turned out.

"No! Stop! Please!" I felt the sharp part of the injection on my neck and again I was in the dark. Some hands grabbed me and that was the last thing I remember.

*****

Pain.

In my head and all over my body. Like it was on fire and my brain was melting.

"No." I whispered and tried to move, but my hands were tightly bound, as well as my legs and head. "It hurts. Please."

I tried to open my eyes, but still everything was blurry.

"We have to stop, look at her." I heard a man's voice.

"You're here to do as I say. I don't have any doctors because of her," another, now a female voice, said, "so do as I say."

"Obviously it's not working. Why..."

"You're not here to ask questions or talk at all. This process will either kill her or we'll have a result. She'd die anyway, we're giving her a chance to live longer."

"Live? Look at her!"

"Please. Stop." I felt tears running down my cheeks. "Please."

"Increase the dose."

"No please." I sobbed. "Don't do it." I don't think anyone is listening to me at all.

"It could kill her."

"I said to increase the dose. Do it if you don't want to lose your head."

It was quiet for a moment and no one moved, but later I heard footsteps coming towards me.

"I'm so sorry." The man whispered.

I don't know what he did, but my body started burning. "No!" I started screaming until my throat hurt. I tried to move, but it only made it worse. "Killian! Agh!"

He is looking at me like I'm a painting in an exhibition.

If he thinks I don't know that, he's wrong.

I tried to eat in peace. I didn't do anything to anyone. I didn't even try to kill anyone.

Why can't he leave me alone?

Out of the corner of my eye, I can see when he drinks coffee, and when he lifts his head from his cell phone to look at me. It's really noticeable and it pisses me the fuck off.

If he has a problem, let him say it straight. I don't have time for games.

Wait, what? I don't have time for games? I love games.

What is happening to me? I have to get out of here. This environment does not benefit me.

"Can you stop?" I finally spoke.

"With what?" He asked, looking at his cell phone. So now he's going to focus on mobile huh? Fucker.

"You're not invisible. I can see you looking at me. If you have a question, ask. Don't look at me the way you've been."

"And how did I look at you?" He put the mobile from his hand on the table.

"Not subtly, I can tell you that." I smiled ironically. "Do you have a question or can I leave?"

"That depends on whether you answer me truthfully."

"It depends what you ask me." I moved the plate that was in front of me to the side and leaned my elbows on the table. "I'm waiting."

"Where were you on the tenth of September?"

"Nowhere yet, it's only a month away." I smiled.

"Really?" He raised an eyebrow.

"You can't expect me to remember the exact date. I was probably on some mission for all I know."

If I had to know what I did every day, my head would probably explode.

"You really don't believe us? That we know you?"

"You do realize how crazy you sound, right? You're telling me my whole life is fake, but your only evidence is a fake voicemail and the things about my body you could find out while I was out."

"So what proof do you need and I'll find it. Just tell me what."

"There isn't one because you're wrong. You can't find something that doesn't exist." I don't know how many times I'll have to tell him, but I'm getting tired of it.

"I'll tell you everything we've been through, will that convince you?" He looked at me desperately. He really wants me to say yes.

"No.It won't. Sorry."

Why am I apologizing? What the hell am I doing?

"That's enough for today." I moved away from the table. "Will you escort me to the room? I don't want another shock." I raised my hands with the bracelets.

"Sure." He stood up, picked up his jacket and started walking towards the door.

I followed him into the dining room.

"No." I pointed at the dog that looked like it wanted to jump on me again. "Don't you dare." I warned him. "Can't you train a dog?" I looked at Killian.

He turned his back on me without a word and started walking away.

"Your owner is an idiot. And now I'm talking to a dog." I shook my head and moved from my place, towards Killian.

When we were in the corridor where the rooms were, I stopped a few meters behind Killian at one of the doors.

I don't know why. I just stopped.

I was looking at the plain wooden door like crazy. I don't even know when I reached for the handle, but my hand was suddenly there.

I tried to open them, but they were locked. Why are they locked?

"What are you doing?" He started walking towards me when he noticed I wasn't behind him.

"I don't know. Why are they locked?" I turned to him.

"You don't have to worry about that. We're going." He nodded his head behind him.

"You're wrong. I'm pretty sure if I try to open any others, they'll be open. So why not these? What are you hiding behind them?" I narrowed my eyes at him, as if I was trying to read from his face what could be behind them.

"I said we were going." He said between his teeth.

"Okay, okay." Laughing, I raised my hands in a defensive gesture. "I was just curious." I moved from my place. "Let's go Killy." I patted his shoulder as I passed him.

It wasn't until I was at the door of the room where I was staying that I noticed Killian standing in the same place far behind me.

"Hello?" I spoke. "Earth to Killian. Are you with us?"

He finally moved and walked over to me without a word. I entered the room and turned inside so that I could see him in front of the door.

"Don't call me that." He said as he clicked something on his mobile.

"How? Killian? It's literally your name." I frowned.

"You didn't call me that. Please don't call me that."

"Sure, nevermind. I don't know what you're talking about though." I shrugged my shoulders. "Looks like I'll see you in the morning. Goodnight and bad dreams." I winked at him and slammed the door in front of him.

Don't call me that? What did I call him?

*****

"I feel like I've been summoned to the principal's office." I said as I entered the study with Killian close behind me. I noticed a blonde sitting on the couch with a laptop on the table and passionately writing something on it. "Do I have a problem sir?" I slipped around the table with little laughter and sat behind it. I spread my legs on the table and sat comfortably.

This is a really comfortable chair. I will come here more often. That is, if I am allowed to go out.

"We decided to make a deal."

"You will take these devil's bonds off me and let me go?"

"You're funny." The blonde laughed.

"Thanks, I'm trying. So?" I looked back at Killian. "Will I get out of here?"

"Maybe later, it depends if you cooperate." He crossed his arms over his chest, causing his t-shirt to wrap around his muscles. Dangerous move.

"All right." I took my legs off the table and leaned my elbows on the edge. "I'm listening." It can't hurt, can it?

"We will try to help you remember your true past." He raised his finger when he saw that I wanted to say something. "We're going to work together and really try. If you don't think it's going to work, why not just try? Nothing to lose."

"Shouldn't a deal be beneficial to both sides? I don't see how there's anything in it for me."

"We can give you someone you've been looking for."

"She's sitting right there". I leaned back comfortably in the chair and nodded my head at the blonde.

"Not her."

"Then I don't see who..."

"Charles Murphy." He interrupted me and I immediately shut up. "Did I interest you?" He smiled.

"What do you know about him?" I tried to act calm.

"More than you."

"I couldn't find him. What makes you think you can?"

"Because I have his number."

"You're lying." I smiled. "It's a trick."

"Why would I lie?"

"Because you know I won't say yes."

"But you don't ask me to call him because you don't know what his voice sounds like. But you still believe me."

"I really don't." I snorted.

"I would never lie to you." He said honestly.

"And how would I know?" I leaned across the table to be closer to him. "I don't know you."

"Then let me show you what kind of person I am. I promise to get you Charles whether you remember or not."

"Your promise means nothing to me."

"So if I'm lying, you can take Luna."

"Hey!" She screamed. "What the hell?"

"So?" Killian ignored her.

"A week." I proposed.

"A month."

"A week and three days."

"A month."

"I should decide how long don't you think?" I frowned.

"A month and then you'll never see me again." He held out his hand to me.

I carefully examined his hand, and then his face.

What could possibly go wrong? I will only extend my stay in this luxury villa.

"A month." I reached out to him and the moment they touched, I felt a small electric shock.

It had to be the bracelet.

Right?
