I woke up but Nik was no longer in my bed. I looked at the time.

Monday 8:06

Shittt I'm late for school.

I got up and quickly did my higiene and changed into my blue Nike tech.

It was raining outside and I huffed when I saw Niks car wasn't there.

I walked to the bus station and waited 5 minutes until it got here. Thankfully there's a roof on the bench.

Once I got to school I walked to my second period and the teacher decided to call me out.

"Do you have a tardy slip Lentero?" He asked me knowing damn well I didn't.

I didn't even answer bruh and I started walking to the office to get my slip.

"Did y'all hear about cielo getting shot, das why she was using them crutches" one of the dudes said.

"I heard piru smoked her cus of beef they got with her brother" another n*gga said.

I stopped my tracks to listen to the conversation I overheard.

"Yupp I bet trey called that shit since 30s been tryna run territory and I heard her brother killed treys cousin. They tryna get back at bruh" a woman's raspy voice said.

"Shit I wouldn't be surprised"

Damn. So it wasn't no mistake they actually want my head. And it's cus my brother tryna get more territory?

Is Nik part of that shit?

I felt confused and annoyed that I didn't know shit going on behind closed doors. Nik or my brother don't tell me shit about what goes on in the gang.

"You mfkas know I can hear y'all right" I said feeling my blood boil.

The two guys looked at me shocked but the stud turned around and grinned an evil ish smirk.

"Shouldn't you be in class" she walked towards me as her goons followed.

"What it matter to you, stop speaking on my name" I glared at her intensely.

"Or what, you gon hit me with yo stick? Crippled ass" she laughed in my face which made me more angry.

"If you wanted my stick you could've jus said that. Oh.. but studs ain't my type" I smirked.

She began cornering me into the wall so I pushed her back.

"You shouldn't have done that" she grinned widely.

*BOP*

She hit me in my face which made me almost loose balance.

"Man fuck you" I charged at her, letting my crutches drop.

I hit her in her stomach and kneed her in her pelvis this time roughly.

This time she was no longer smile. Now she was furious and I liked it.

It's my turn to smile.

She ran towards me trying to land another punch but didn't succeed so I hit her in her face harshly.

We then got into a brutal fight until her goons pulled her off since a teacher was coming.

I clutched my bag and continued to walk to the office.

When out of no where I got a text.

You know what man fuck school.

I texted shanti to come get me.

Me: Shanti come get me I needa talk to you

Shanti: yo schoo?

Me: yeah

After 10 mins I saw her blacked out bmw drive in to the parking lot and I walked out to her car.

"What happened to yo face" she said reviewing my injuries.

"Don't worry bout it I'm g" I said really not wanting to talk about the events that just occurred. I didn't even know that stud name.

"Shitt it's raining like a mfka I hate driving in the rain" she said after taking a hit from her blunt.

"Let me drive then" I smiled.

"Pshhh yo ass don't even know how to whip a scooter how you gon drive my baebae" she said.

I looked at her jaw dropped.

"Maybe if somebody would teach me I would know how but no.." I side eyed her.

"Oh my godddd" she dragged her hand down her face.

"I'll teach you" she said pulling into her apartment parking lot.

"Get out" she said.

I did exactly that and walked to the drivers side.

"Ight so left is break, right is gas, to change the gear you gotta hold the break down"

"Ight Ight" I shifted the gear and started slowly going forward.

"Ight turn here" she said.

I was driving mad slow it was funny but this mf was actually teaching me how to drive.

"Ight now lemme see you reverse"

I held the gas like she said and shifted the gear again and reversed a bit while looking back.

"Park right here" she pointed at a spot and after shifting the gear again I parked actually good asf. Shiii maybe it's time to get this lisence.

"Turn off the whip less go inside cheesy" she said getting out.

"So you not my parking skills right as hell?" I asked her tossing her the keys.

"You did Ight youngin" she locked it and we walked into her apartment.

She sat down.

"So holla at me" she said.

"Ight it's some shit I wanna ask you and I got trust for you enough to feel you gon tell me the truth, can I count on dat" I looked at her seriously.

"Always youngin" she nodded and waved for me to get on wittit.

"Is it true dat trey from piru put the green light on my head?" I asked.

She sat up.

"How you know that?" She asked.

"I heard some n*gags talking bout it at schoo today" I sat down.

"Yeah it's true" she sighed.

"Why ain't nobody tell me" I looked at her.

"Ion know man yo brother thought it would be better if you ain't know"

"How the fuck it's gon be better if ion even know people out here tryna get me gone shanti??"

"Ion know man you know how the gang is, we make a decision we follow it but since you ardy knew I can't lie to you youngin" she said.

"Nik knew too?"

Shanti scratched her neck.

"Wow" I said baffled.

"Just keep that strap on you Ight we got people around you making sure you straight Nyah just got put in the gang so she gon be extra protection for you too" she said.

This shit just not ok tho, my girl been lying to me bout not knowing who tf put a hit on my head. This shit crazy. My brother too.

"Where Nik right now? I ain't heard from gyou r all day?" I asked.

"She doing runs for the boss today we be switching off"

So das what she be doing when she ghosts me.

"I gotta go man" I said walking out.

"Holdup lemme drop you somewhere" she said.

"I can take care of myself" I closed the door and walked out.

I looked for Jojo contact in my phone and called her up.

"Yoo" she answered.

"What you on today the studio open?" I asked.

"Hell yeah for you it's open 24/7 c" she chuckled.

"Ight set that let's meet up thea in like a hour"

I hung up and walked to the stop across the street.

I was gonna get some food befo heading down thea cus a mf ain't ate nun. I gotta stop starving myself.
