C'los POV

I waited until it was clear and ran from the scene before the police got there. I got home out of breath and went straight to my room. My mom still wasn't home she was working the night shift and I did not feel safe at all. I locked the door and made sure the back door and windows was closed.

I grabbed a kitchen knife and walked up to my room closing it behind me.

A mf don't got nobody to call fr if I tell my brother he gon trip tf out but what if this got sum to do wit him? I know he affiliated so we're those his rivals tryna get back at him?

I put my elbows on my legs with my chin resting on my hands and when I felt a pressure in my left leg. I looked down and saw a dark stain on my pants. They were black so I couldn't tell what it was. I pressed my finger against it and groaned in pain. I looked back at the substance on my finger and it was red. My heart started racing and I quickly pushed down my pants looking at the gun shot wound.

What the fuck????

I started panicking as I picked up my phone. I was loosing a lot of blood fast.

"Fuck fuck fuck who do I call" my heart started racing and I felt light headed. I quickly went to my contacts and called Nik.

"Wassup" she answered the phone.

"Nik I need you to take me to the hospital" I spoke as calmly as I can"

"Why wtf? Where you at?" She said in a worried tone.

"I- fuck" I groaned trying to get up

"Cielo!" She yelled through the phone.

"I got shot and I feel light headed as fuck are you coming?" I limped to the door and down tried my best to slide down the stairs. I locked the door and she wouldn't be able to get in if I don't opn it.

"Yes I'm on my way stay on the phone okay?" She said.

"Mmhm" I got down the stairs and struggled to get to the door. I put the phone on speaker and dropped it on the floor. I reached to unlock the door and succeeded. I layed on the ground waiting for her to come.

"Cielo are you still there MOVE OUT THE WAY BITCH" I heard her honk.

"Yes" I said. My head was spinning.

I started loosing consciousness as I tried my best to stay awake.

I didn't know how long it had been but I saw Nik open the door and pick me up before I knocked out.

Nik's POV.

I sped the entire way there and when she stopped responding I ran every red light.

I finally got to her crib and opened the door. I saw her on the ground with a pile of blood under her. I took my shirt off and wrapped it around her leg. I picked her up and later her in the backseat and sped off to the hospital.

Once we got there I parked in front quickly and picked her up taking her into emergency care.

"I need help she got shot and she's bleeding fast!!" I yelled in the lobby. Two people came out with a stretcher as I walked with them.

"What happened?" One of the nurses asked me.

"I don't know I wasn't there, she called me to come get her and when I got to her house she was passed out".

The nurse nodded.

"Can you tell me the patients name and do you have any contact with a family member?"

"Cielo Lentero and her mother works here I believe she's a nurse"

"Nurse Lentero? I will have her alerted right away.

They got to a door that they said I couldn't go past and I waited in the lobby for new information. I called Leek after taking a seat and told him what was going on. He told me he was on his way.

I felt anxious the entire time waiting. Mostly I was worried about Cielo, I disappeared on her today and she got shot. I need to do better.

I promised Leek I would keep her safe.

20 minutes later, cielos mom walked out of the elevator and towards me.

"What the hell happened?" She asked looking considered as hell.

I told her exactly what I told the nurse and she shook her head.

"Who would do this to my baby" she paced around the room.

I might have an idea who but I didn't say anything.

Leek must have pissed one of our rivals off and it must be the Mexicans cause they known to go directly for your family if you even slightly do them foul.

A few moments later maleek ran into the lobby.

"Where is she?"he said looking pissed. His fists were in balls and you could see the strap showing through his pants.

"Go get yo self together mijo. You come in here with that bullshit on you. My daughter just got shot. And I know it ain't cause she did something" his mother looked at him with fury in her eyes.

She walked to the front desk to see if there was any new news and Leek just stood there in shock.

He finally came and sat next to me.

"You know what we gotta do" he said to me.

I tilted my head back on the wall because I knew that somebody just declared war on us and it was going to get messy.

I tucked my strap further into my pants and nodded looking at him.

Ain't nobody bout to touch what's mine. She not leaving my sight no more till this war over.

He dapped me up and walked back to his mom im guessing to apologize. They walked to the side and had a conversation I wasn't worried about knowing about.

It was almost midnight but I was wide awake waiting for a word when the doctor finally came back. We all stood up and met him halfway in eagerness of knowing if she was alright.

"Are you the family of Cielo Lentero" he asked.

"Yes I am her mother" her mom replied.

"Okay, your daughter is out of surgery and asleep. We had to put her on pain medication so she will wake when she is done resting. She has a minor concussion from the fall so she may get headaches. We were also able to get the bullet out which is great news and she will be okay. She will need to use crutches for 4-6 weeks before she can walk on her own again so just make sure she is very careful and has some support."

"Thank you so much Dr. Garcia" her mother said. "Do you know when we will be able to see her?"

"You can see her now if you'd like but she is asleep and needs rest so try not to wake her up, she's lost a lot of blood so we will prescribe medications and everything in 4 days when the patient is discharged." He led the way to the room and we walked in.

She was asleep and rested. They had her leg raised with a an immobilizer on it.

It was close to 1am now and she was still asleep. Another nurse came in and told us that only one person is allowed to spend the night but she saw Mrs. Lentero in here and said we could all stay. I guess das the benefit of working at a hospital.

I looked at Maleek and saw he was knocked out.

I began to doze off in my chair.

Cielos POV

I woke up in a hospital room looking around seeing My mom and Leek knocked out on the couch and Nik in front of me in her seat.

She had blood all over her shirt and pants. Mine probably.

I looked down and saw my my leg in some kind of brace. I tried to sit up but I felt light headed asf so I just stayed where I'm at. After settling back down my mind recollected last nights events. I shook my head. I need to find out who tf shot me.

I couldn't feel my leg all probably from the meds.

"Nik" I whispered not tryna wake my mom up.

She ain't budge.

"Wake yo ass up cuh" I said a lil louder but I guess she was knocked out Frfr.

I grabbed a pen from the table and it took all my energy tryna throw that shit at her but it hit her and she woke up.

She looked around confused but then she looked at me and shot up out of her seat.

"How you feelin" she walked up keeping her eyes on me.

"Like I just got shot" I smiled.

She looked at me concerned .

"Are you in pain?" She asked

"Nah ion feel a thing right now" I said.

"Probably the pain meds they put on you"

I nodded.

"Are you okay tho like forreal? Do you know who did this?" she stood closer.

I began thinking about the events that happened. The men in masks. Running for my actual life. I guess it hasn't sunk in yet. I thought about my mom too. What if they try to do sum to her.

"Cielo?" Nik turned my face towards her and wiped the tear I didn't know had fallen.

"I'll never let that happen again. She hugged me.

I hugged her back as I held back tesrs. Thugs don't cry.

She layed down next to me and corressed my cheek.

Shortly after my momma started waking up and Nik got out the bed before she saw us.

She nervous of miss lentero or sum 😂

I shook it off as my mom walk over to me.

"Ay mijita" she bright me into a hug and kissed my forehead.

"Mira lo que hicen a mi princesa" for the first time I saw my momma tearing up as she held me.

I kissed her cheek.

"Estoy bien mami" I smiled at her to show her I was okay.

She shook her head and hugged me one more time. She walked over to my sleeping brother and lightly smacked him.

He woke up quickly and looked around.

"Wake yo ass up" my mom said sternly.

He got up and walked to the bed.

"Sis do you know who did this?" He asked me.

"No all I saw was an all black Benz pull up and everyone inside was wearing ski masks, one of them had a face on it" I replied.

He nodded.

"How you feeling?" He asked.

"Shittt I'm fine yall don't gotta worry" I said.

It's not like I was in fatal trouble I just got shot in the leg and grazed a little on my side but I'm alive and I'll walk again. I'm just grateful to be here honestly.

He nodded again.

"Good morning" the nurse walked in.

Everyone greeted her.

"So as the doctor explained last night, Cielo will be discharged in three days we will just be watching her making sure there are no after effects or complications from the surgery and then she will be free to go"

"Here are some papers for you to fill out Nurse Lentero, all the information about the surgery costs and medications will be in there" my mom nodded and the nurse bright in a tray of food. I looked at it in disgust when she left.

Nik looked at me like you better eat that shit or else so I picked at it for a bit.

After a bit my mother and Nik left. My mom needed to change and get ready for her 4 a clock shift and Nik was still covered in blood so she needed to clean up. Leek stayed with me cause he was paranoid that someone was gonna try something at the hospital. And we just chilled and talked until Nik finally came back with my ps4.

Maleek left to check on his baby mama and said he'd be back tomorrow.

My mom was in the hospital working her graveyard shift.

Since these are going longer it takes me a couple days to update I'm in finals week at the moment so be patient I'll be writing more in the summer.
