With this, Cariell already guessed what he had done. Cariell just stared at his friend. Why? Why can't he feel the emotion he expect? Anger? Hatred? Why is it none?

“So, what's your decision?”

“I don't know…” Cariell heard himself answer his Father's question. Marius waves his hand, signaling Cole beside him to take the two people away. He let out a sigh.

“Eugene?”

“Getting treatment.”

Treatment? Seems like it's not just a simple kidnapping and hostage. Marius was even convince to take the two people's life, but he still held his emotion.

This case won't be held by him but his son. What will happen to them will be based on his son's arrangement.

“When do you plan to sit here?”

When he saw him not reacting at all, he quickly followed up his words.

“Don't you want to marry him as an Emperor? Giving him the title of an Empress is higher than a Princess.”

Marius' voice sounds gentle, he looked like a demon luring people to do evil things for him.

“He's a man.”

Oh, a man. Wait, why are you focusing on that? Do you get my point? Do you even understand what I'm saying? What am I talking about?

Feeling his Father's emotional entanglement, Cariell quickly said.

“What I have is his. If I were to sit there, the throne is mine and his. I don't want to treat him as a woman by giving him those titles. What I want is for him to rule with me.”

Hearing this, Marius chuckled. Carmella, looked at your son, he grew up well. So well that Marius felt guilty for not being there by his side to see the whole process. Seems like, the only regret he have was to let him grow without parents. I'm here, but I'm actually not there for him.

The smile on Marius' face became wider but the sadness in his eyes couldn't be hidden at all.

“So when do you plan to sit here?”

He repeated this question again, badly want to know what his son decision is.

“Not now.”

At least, until he woke up. Cariell didn't said this words aloud and after giving his response, he immediately went out. The door of the Royal chamber closed, leaving a man sitting on his chair.

A minute later, he stood up from his seat and went to the place where he let Cole send the two people.

On the white bed that now was stained by blood, Cariell's room had so many people inside, giving treatment to the youth laying on it.

Outside of the room, Eins kept walking back and forth which made Sean, who was standing on the side a little dizzy.

“Can you just stand there and stop walking here and there?”

“Quiet, so noisy.”

Seans suddenly had an urge to punch people in the face. He didn't bother to talk with the other party anymore but he really couldn't help but be annoyed at the sound of footsteps here going there then going back.

He was about to say something when the door opened, it was already dawn. The sky was in an orange color. It took how many hours for the Doctors to stabilize the patients condition.

The person who went out was the first person who followed De An. He looked around to looke for that person’s figure but it was not there, so he then put his eyes on the Butler who was already standing in front of him.

His face looked calm but the trembling of his hands could be seen, a sign that he was anxious. His gaze then fell to Sean who was on De An’s left side, and Eins who was on the right.

He didn't ask the Butler why his Master wasn't here, and even without him he still said what needed to be said.

“The patient is fine, it was just that he fell into a coma due to too much blood loss. It might have taken longer before he woke up. As for his injuries, you need to clean it everyday. Don't make the patient take a bath, just a simple wiping is fine. Apply medicine and change his gauze twice a day. That's all, if anything happens, just let people call me. Then excuse me.”

Then he left, the other Doctors behind also followed.

De An went inside the room, he walked towards the bed side and saw a mummy look of Eugene. De An covered Eugene's body with the quilt then just sat at the chair on the side.

Sean and Eins also went inside. Eins gasped as he saw Eugene's condition. The gripped of his hands was hard that his palm was about to bleed due to his nails sinking on it. He felt like his chest was slowly losing its oxygen, making him dizzy and feel like he was going to faint at any moment.

The anger on his chest wanted to burst out, but he didn't know what to do to let it out of him. How dare they do this to his beloved?

He closed his eyes to control his emotions then opened it. The white in his eyes look red. That stupid Prince! It's because of him that this happened to Eugene. He knew it wouldn't do Eugene any good if he will be together with Cariell, he even warned the young man, but what happened?

He actually didn't listen to him, and insisted on loving that man! The look on his eyes contained anger, but this time it wasn't directed to those people who have done this, it was towards the young man lying on the bed.

This is your fault. You could only blame yourself for being stubborn. If you just choose me instead maybe this wouldn't happen to you. He couldn't even protect you. Look at you now, we can't even be recognize you if we didn't know you're Eugene. If you have chosen me, maybe you're still jumping here and there. Alive and healthy, not like a person who's in a life or death situation.

Sean looked at the young man on the bed, his left hand was placed on the sword handle that was hanging on his waist. He didn't know what emotion he should have towards the young man.

This kind of thing, he was actually one of the people who indirectly caused the young man to become like this. If he listened to the Prince to immediately go back, maybe the young man was still fine. But he didn't, and now he could only blame himself for his lack of responsibility. For not saving the Emperor and Prince lover and for even somewhat listening to Eins rather than the Prince command.

The two people who were immersed in their own thoughts were awakened by De An’s voice.

“It's getting late, asking the General and the North Prince to leave.”

He was standing in front of them, with a respectful attitude he told them to leave.

“I want to stay.”

Eins voices out his thoughts. What if something happen again? And he also wanted to stay on Eugene's side. He looked at the couch not far from the bed and said.

“I can sleep on the couch.”

De An let out a sigh and respond.

“I apologize, but his Highness didn't like random people to stay in his room.”

De An thought that even himself, a trusted subordinate of his Highness couldn’t even stay in this room for a night. So it was even more impossible for them to stay.

“Then I'll come back tomorrow.”

It was Sean who said this, he took Eins wrist and gripped it hard when he felt his struggling actions. Pulling him out the room.

When they were finally outside, Eins started to talk in a loud voice.

“He wasn't even here to see Eugene's condition, how could he have the guts to tell people he loves him? Is he even serious to Eugene?”

“Shut up.”

“I was just stating the facts, look, after sending people to treat him he didn't even go back to see him.”

This time, they were already a bit far away from the room so Sean stopped pulling the other. He turned around and stared at him, that face that made him smile before in happiness was now making him want to go back to the past and beat himself to death. How could he fall for this person? His taste and type was actually like this? He couldn't accept it.

Selfish with a hypocritical attitude. If he needs you he will show his good side to earn your trust but if he doesn't need you anymore and loses your value to him, he will push you without mercy. Although he wasn't being pushed away yet, he knew it would happen.

Besides, earlier, he felt the gloomy aura on the other's body and saw the anger in his eyes towards Eugene. How could Eins hide his emotion in front of him? Who already saw too many people that he sometimes could guess what they were thinking? Perhaps he still hasn't given up on Eugene, but how could he let him succeed?

“I advise you to give up and stop coveting someone's lover. You aren't even in the position to talk bad about his Highness behind his back. If you do this again I won't spare you anymore and just put you to jail for badmouthing the Royal family.”

He put down the wrist he was holding and turned then walked away, leaving Eins behind.

He thought when Eins helped his Highness, he was willing to help him with all his heart. Turns out he was wrong, Eins just wanted to use the Prince to save Eugene, and after that, he could still chase people.

Sigh.
