We are in the masters house celebrating. Music erupted and drinks are out. The town people are on the floor dancing in their partners or friends arms, having the time of their lives. The smell of booze and food fills the building, I looked over to see Bofur practically hugging the barrel of ale with drunken heart eyes. The dwarves were making small talk with the villagers, Thorin spoke with the master, and Kili and I are sitting down on the side talking.
Kili was talking to me about something but my attention was on this one couple. They looked so happy to be dancing hand in hand, the way they looked at each other was special. They faces were a bright crimson red from swinging each other around and when the man whispered something into her ear the beautiful sound of laughter exploded from her. It was beautiful to watch.
"(Y/N)? Did you hear me?" Kili asked, bringing his face into view. "Oh yeah, sorry. Carry on." I tore my eyes from the dancers and pushed my hair off my face, switching my focus back to Kili. He shared and quick glance with me and looked to the dancers with a frown. "I'm sorry. You should be dancing, partying, i'm taking you away from that." "No! I like sitting here and talking to you, I was just lost in thought. Please," I crossed my legs on the bench we were sitting on and turned to him "Carry on." Although he didn't.
He pulled himself up and held out his hand. I looked at his hand and rose an eyebrow. "May you join me on the dance floor, (Y/N)?" I softly smiled "You are in no condition to be dancing." He reached out his hand further and slightly raised his eyebrows as if to say please. "You'd be hurting me more if you deny me of this dance. I know you love dancing more than anything in the world."
I opened my mouth to object but he grabbed my hand and pulled me off my feet and towards the dance floor. I beamed when he pulled my against his chest as new song was about to begin. "You can relax now (Y/N)," He told me "You're safe." The music began with a slow pace to allow the men to bow at their partner. My cheeks went red when I could hear the dwarves laughing and whistling at us.
We brought our hand up to the level of our eyes, we walked around in a circle neither of us taking our eyes off each other. We switched hands and walked around the other way, neither of us looking away.
The music filled my ears with joy as we danced. He spun me around, lifted me up, clapped and loads more. I could tell his leg bothered him but he was trying to hide it by keeping a smile on his face. I haven't heard this much laughter and happiness from a dance floor since the Shire had its huge party at Midsummers Eve, it was the best night of our lives, a time to be alive. But this definitely tops it.
The final song finished at we held onto each other panting. I looked up into his eyes. I grabbed his face and placed a kiss on his lips, he returned the kiss like no one else was in the room. We broke apart and he brushed a strand of hair away from my face. "(Y/N)." He pressed our foreheads together, he's done this before yet I never know why but I can tell it has a meaning. "Kili."
His breath seemed to catch in his throat as he opened his mouth to say something, and by the look on his face I couldn't wait any longer to find out what he has to say. "I...amralizi, (Y/N)." My face twisted into confusion at the dwarfish word as he looked down at me with so much love and longing in his eyes. "What does that mean?" He smiled from ear to ear "It means I love you, (Y/N). Isn't it obvious?"
What. Those three little words made time feel like it had stopped. Inside I am screaming and jumping for joy. Ive never had anyone say that to me, in this sense. Ever since the night I first met Kili at the Shire I had been dreaming of this moment, the moment when he tells me how he truly feels towards me. But he had made it pretty clear throughout the journey, constantly throwing compliments at me and never failing to plant a smile on my face. This is what i've always wanted. Love.
I realised that I have been quiet for too long and probably worrying Kili. I smiled like I never have before. A smile went from ear the ear and butterflies were going crazy in my stomach. "I love you too, Kili." Just as I finished my sentence he grabbed my face and smacked his lips onto mine. Everyone was cheering and whistling. Even some of the villagers were clapping and cheering, somehow they sensed that this was an important moment.
Everything around us seemed to blur out, like it was only Kili and I on the dance floor. All my life i've read about true love and always wondered if I will ever experience the same. I wanted to experience that giddy feeling whenever you kiss them, when they treat you as if you're their whole world, like everything evolves around you, when they made you feel special and that finally moment when it all becomes crystal clear where your meant to go and who your meant to be with. And I finally have.
—————— Kili's POV:
"(Y/N)." I brushed a strand of hair off her eyes. Ever since we shared our first kiss I knew she the one. Ever since she opened the door to my brother and I back at the Shire I knew I would fall deeply in love with her. The moment I looked into those beautiful chestnut eyes and looked at her beaming smile I couldn't wait to get to know her and fall for her.
I have been waiting to do this for a long time, so i'm just gonna do it. Here goes nothing. "I love you." Her lips slightly parted and her eyes trailed up my body to meet with my eyes. God those eyes. I felt sick to my stomach from nerves and my heart was beating out my chest.
She has been quiet for too long. Oh God. What have I done? I was about to apologise until she smiled like she'd never before. Her smile shot up from ear to ear and I could see her perfect pearly teeth. Her lips were a rosy pink which matched the colour of her cheeks as her face lit up like the sun. Whenever I get to see that smile my heart goes crazy and I fall harder for her, so you can imagine how far i've fallen. I couldn't come back up if I wanted to, but why would I?
"I love you too, Kili." My shoulders relaxed and a huge weight was taken off my back. She loves me back. I grabbed her face and smacked her lips against mine. The company was cheering and whistling for us and I could hear my brother amongst them all. Even some of the villagers were clapping. Most likely because we were in the middle of the dance floor, but that's what made the moment so perfect.
(Y/N) is perfect in every way, from her blinding beauty to her heart bigger than anyone's, she definitely is my One. There was no doubt about that, and now I get to see where our love story will take us, whether it be Erebor, The Shire or even Rivendell as long as we will be together I will not care. She is my entire world and I am not going to mess this up.
—————— (Y/N)'s POV:
There's not a single person in this room that isn't drunk, even Bilbo has had a few drinks for the night. I have downed my third jug of Ale and Kili has downed his fourth, I think. I rubbed my forehead, dreading the morning that awaits for me tomorrow. We are sat at the back of the hall, hidden from everyone, as if they would even notice, everyone has had way too much to drink. More songs played and people continued to dance but Kili and I are worn out for the night, we're gonna be out in minutes.
"Hey, wanna hear something funny?" Oh no the alcohol is staring to talk, god knows what I'm gonna say. Kili chugged down some more Ale. "Shoot." "Ever since the Shire I knew I loved you. I loved your hair," I twirled his hair "I loved your eyes," I reached my hand up, near the outer corner of his eye "And I loved these lips," I grazed my hands over his lips "And I just loved everything about you."
He didn't say anything but look at me. "You are so drunk." I tilted my head towards him "I know." I giggled a bit, my mind feeling fuzzy and all bubbly until I felt a pair of eyes pining me from the opposite side of the hall. I raised my head off Kilis lap where I had been resting and saw Dwalin across the room with his arms crossed over his chest with that irritated look whenever Kili and I act like a couple.
He narrowed his eyes and all I did was widely smile and wave a tipsy at him, I saw his face as he scoffed and rolled his eyes before turning to Oin and Gloin to carry on with their conversation. Even after Dwalins grumpy, short temper and intimidating appearance I love him really and I know he has a soft spot for me too.
It was much later on in the night, the town people have left, the dwarves are knocked out for the night, the master has gone up to his chamber and me and Kili are holding on by a string. He is slumped up against the wall and my head is on his lap, we were laying on the bench we'd hogged for the whole evening whilst Kili gently stroked my face which made me even sleepier.
I starred up at the ceiling. "Fathers going to kill me tomorrow, this is twice now i've gotten drunk and both with you might I add. Father might think your a bad influence." I grinned and said in a matter-of-fact tone. "Ive spoken to him and he has no idea about you, I've managed to convince Bilbos everything's fine and might I mention, up until tonight I have kept you away from anything but water, who's the bad influence now?" He grinned back at me.
"Fine, you win. Now, if you'll excuse me i'm just gonna close my eyes for a few hours." As my eyes were closed, laying on my back, I could tell he was smiling "Alright you get some sleep, my love. Got a big day ahead of us tomorrow." He bent over and kissed my forehead and I was out. What a night.
